The cottage is located on the beautiful and unspoilt Lizard peninsular. Coverack has a pub, cafes, and shops plus water sports hire. Nearby is Roskillys Organic Farm - famous for its ice cream - and the charming village of St Keverne. This is a great base for exploring the Lizard and walking the coast path. Please note that there is installed a coin-operated electric meter. We will pre-load £10. The rate is set at the rate we pay. During Spring/Autumn we offer minimum 3 night mid week stays; otherwise Saturday to Saturday.

- "Overall we were happy with our stay. The weather unfortunately wasn't great. The property was in generally a good state. Painting seemed fairly recent. The bedding and towels were of a good quality. Everything that we needed was provided. Graham and Bette were friendly hosts. We had a couple of issues. The timer for the water heating didn't always work. Sometimes we had to switch it on before being able to shower. I did speak to Graham about it and I would imagine that he has rectified that now. Although the decoration was good we were disappointed that the shower had a lot of mould around the sealant. But the shower was large which you don't often get in small property. A useful addition could be a soap dish which would save bending down for the soap. The property was a shortish walk down the hill to Coverack and an energetic walk back up the hill. We found that it was worth venturing down to The Lifeboat House restaurant."

Look out over miles of blue Cornish sea. To the left you have the granite fishing harbour with shops and restaurants gathered around it. To the right you have the ancient iron age settlement, now grazed by ponies. On the horizon merchant ships on their way to the Atlantic or returning up the channel with their cargo. Nearer in you have the fisherman checking their crab pots. There is a great variety of birdlife and you might also see seals, dolphins and the occasional tuna.

The ground floor of Porthvean is designed as an open space, with an additional smaller living area both offer stunning views of the sea. Finished in high-quality oak and slate flooring, underfloor heating, and a Morso wood burning stove for added cosiness. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities like a dishwasher, large fridge freezer, and an additional wine fridge. Upstairs at Porthvean you will find four bedrooms. The three double bedrooms with luxurious king-size Hypnos beds, ensuring a comfortable and restful sleep. Additionally, there is a fourth bedroom furnished with two single beds, perfect for accommodating larger groups or families. The house sits on a mini-peninsular which gives it, with its four bay windows, a 200 degree sea view, from the sheltered sandy beach out to the distant horizon and around to the craggy Chynhalls Point.

The garden and patio are south facing with a sheltered sunny courtyard for breezy days. There is an hot and cold outside shower for washing off sandy toes after trip to the beach. Coverack is a picturesque Cornish fishing village. Nestling around the granite built harbour are a pub and a restaurant both providing good food. Next door there is a coffee shop, which serves wonderful coffee, pastries and ice creams. Running along the side of the house is a path which leads to the beach. Opposite the house there is a park with swings and a slide for children.

In order to maintain a comfortable and allergen-free environment for all our guests, we have made the decision to establish a no pets policy at Porthvean. We understand that it may seem disappointing for those who would have loved to bring their furry companions along, but we believe that this choice is necessary to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort for all visitors. Removing traces of pets from one stay to the next poses a significant challenge. Despite our best efforts, it is difficult to completely eliminate allergens and pet hair, potentially causing discomfort for those with sensitivities.

Tregarrek Point is set in its own 2/3rd acre gardens boasting 180 degree panoramic views. Our previous visitors have enthused how the children have loved the freedom of the large gardens, the parents took early morning swims down at Mears before breakfast and the grandparents have enjoyed the peace and the array of the visiting wildlife, whilst being located just a stone's throw away from Coverack's pretty fishing harbour.

Downstairs offers a very sociable semi open plan kitchen and dining area/living room with 55 inch flatscreen TV log fire, leading to the 30ft rear deck with sea views equipped with furniture and a BBQ - a great place to enjoy those alfresco meals when the sun come up or goes down. - "The property itself is set in a beautiful location overlooking the coast, the grounds of the property are well maintained and welcoming! The property itself was absolutely beautiful inside and out and was thoroughly cleaned and well stocked! There was plenty of space for our party of 8 and not once did we feel like we were on top of each other (that includes 3 children). The bedrooms too were also spacious! Could not recommend this property enough! Communication with the owner was fantastic and the mid stay check in was a nice touch as was the welcome basket of delicious Scones! We will definitely be back to visit again!"

The Coverack Headland used to be a Victorian Hotel. It was converted into a select development of flats and cottages. The property is located in acres of unspoilt coastal scenery with a gentle walk down to its own safe, sandy bathing beach.
Within its private grounds there is also an all-weather tennis court. From the
Headland there are several delightful coastal walks rich with wildlife interest and
some of the most magnificent scenery in the country. The Headland stands in one
of the most southerly points of England, basking in the Gulf Stream. Within easy
walking distance is the fishing village of Coverack with its picturesque harbour,
restaurants, coffee shops ,a pub and a hotel.
This is a very comfortable self catering first floor one bedroom flat with a balcony and the most splendid uninterrupted views over its own secluded beach and uninhabited Cornish coast. The property is let on a seven-night basis from FRIDAY to FRIDAY.
The flat has recently been completely refurbished with a new fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. It comes fully equipped with bed linen, towels, television and a dvd
player. Free WiFi is also included.

There are lots of things in addition to walking to do in the area with the new Tate in St Ives and Barbara Hepworth’s house with many of her sculptures. St Just also
has several small galleries promoting local artists. Falmouth and Penzance have
larger galleries and because the county has a long tradition of painting there are
usually new exhibitions on.
The Minack Theatre built into the cliff side at Porthcurno with its dramatic seascape backdrop is a must for any visitor at all times of the year. Also, a trip to St Mawes via the King Harry ferry is most enjoyable.
Naturally there are several good pubs, tearooms and restaurants on the Lizard peninsula ,serving excellent local produce , in which to while away many a pleasant hour .
