The cottage is located on the beautiful and unspoilt Lizard peninsular. The owners' property is adjacent but entirely separate. We shall be delighted to offer help/advice but your privacy shall be respected at all times. Coverack has a pub, cafes, and shops plus water sports hire. Nearby is Roskillys Organic Farm - famous for its ice cream - and the charming village of St Keverne. This is a great base for exploring the Lizard and walking the coast path. Please note that there is installed a coin-operated electric meter. We will pre-load £10. The rate is set at the rate we pay. During Spring/Autumn we offer minimum 3 night mid week stays; otherwise Saturday to Saturday.

- "Overall we were happy with our stay. The weather unfortunately wasn't great. The property was in generally a good state. Painting seemed fairly recent. The bedding and towels were of a good quality. Everything that we needed was provided. Graham and Bette were friendly hosts. We had a couple of issues. The timer for the water heating didn't always work. Sometimes we had to switch it on before being able to shower. I did speak to Graham about it and I would imagine that he has rectified that now. Although the decoration was good we were disappointed that the shower had a lot of mould around the sealant. But the shower was large which you don't often get in small property. A useful addition could be a soap dish which would save bending down for the soap. The property was a shortish walk down the hill to Coverack and an energetic walk back up the hill. We found that it was worth venturing down to The Lifeboat House restaurant."

Look out over miles of blue Cornish sea. To the left you have the granite fishing harbour with shops and restaurants gathered around it. To the right you have the ancient iron age settlement, now grazed by ponies. On the horizon merchant ships on their way to the Atlantic or returning up the channel with their cargo. Nearer in you have the fisherman checking their crab pots. There is a great variety of birdlife and you might also see seals, dolphins and the occasional tuna.

The ground floor of Porthvean is designed as an open space, with an additional smaller living area both offer stunning views of the sea. Finished in high-quality oak and slate flooring, underfloor heating, and a Morso wood burning stove for added cosiness. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities like a dishwasher, large fridge freezer, and an additional wine fridge. For added convenience, there is a utility room with a washing machine and a separate tumble dryer. There is also a downstairs shower room with walk in shower, sink and loo.

Upstairs at Porthvean you will find four bedrooms. The three double bedrooms with luxurious king-size Hypnos beds, ensuring a comfortable and restful sleep. What truly sets these bedrooms apart is their spectacular sea views, which offer a breathtaking backdrop to wake up to each morning. Additionally, there is a fourth bedroom furnished with two single beds, perfect for accommodating larger groups or families. The crown jewel is undoubtedly the master bedroom, complete with an ensuite bathroom featuring a bath and a separate walk-in shower. Alongside the master suite, a family bathroom with both a bath and a shower is available, along with a modern downstairs shower room complete with a basin and toilet. The upstairs area is carpeted, for a cosy and inviting atmosphere throughout.

The house sits on a mini-peninsular which gives it, with its four bay windows, a 200 degree sea view, from the sheltered sandy beach out to the distant horizon and around to the craggy Chynhalls Point.

The garden and patio are south facing with a sheltered sunny courtyard for breezy days. There is an hot and cold outside shower for washing off sandy toes after trip to the beach. Coverack is a picturesque Cornish fishing village. Nestling around the granite built harbour are a pub and a restaurant both providing good food. Next door there is a coffee shop, which serves wonderful coffee, pastries and ice creams. Running along the side of the house is a path which leads to the beach. Opposite the house there is a park with swings and a slide for children.

In order to maintain a comfortable and allergen-free environment for all our guests, we have made the decision to establish a no pets policy at Porthvean. We understand that it may seem disappointing for those who would have loved to bring their furry companions along, but we believe that this choice is necessary to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and comfort for all visitors. Removing traces of pets from one stay to the next poses a significant challenge. Despite our best efforts, it is difficult to completely eliminate allergens and pet hair, potentially causing discomfort for those with sensitivities.

Tregarrek Point is set in its own 2/3rd acre gardens boasting 180 degree panoramic views. Our previous visitors have enthused how the children have loved the freedom of the large gardens, the parents took early morning swims down at Mears before breakfast and the grandparents have enjoyed the peace and the array of the visiting wildlife, whilst being located just a stone's throw away from Coverack's pretty fishing harbour.

Downstairs offers a very sociable semi open plan kitchen and dining area/living room with 55 inch flatscreen TV log fire, leading to the 30ft rear deck with sea views equipped with furniture and a BBQ - a great place to enjoy those alfresco meals when the sun come up or goes down. - "The property itself is set in a beautiful location overlooking the coast, the grounds of the property are well maintained and welcoming! The property itself was absolutely beautiful inside and out and was thoroughly cleaned and well stocked! There was plenty of space for our party of 8 and not once did we feel like we were on top of each other (that includes 3 children). The bedrooms too were also spacious! Could not recommend this property enough! Communication with the owner was fantastic and the mid stay check in was a nice touch as was the welcome basket of delicious Scones! The Coverack Headland used to be a Victorian Hotel. It was converted into a select development of flats and cottages. The property is located in acres of unspoilt coastal scenery with a gentle walk down to its own safe, sandy bathing beach.
Within its private grounds there is also an all-weather tennis court. From the
Headland there are several delightful coastal walks rich with wildlife interest and
some of the most magnificent scenery in the country. The Headland stands in one
of the most southerly points of England, basking in the Gulf Stream. Within easy
walking distance is the fishing village of Coverack with its picturesque harbour,
restaurants, coffee shops ,a pub and a hotel.
This is a very comfortable self catering first floor one bedroom flat with a balcony and the most splendid uninterrupted views over its own secluded beach and uninhabited Cornish coast. The property is let on a seven-night basis from FRIDAY to FRIDAY.
The flat has recently been completely refurbished with a new fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. It comes fully equipped with bed linen, towels, television and a dvd

There are lots of things in addition to walking to do in the area with the new Tate in St Ives and Barbara Hepworth’s house with many of her sculptures. St Just also
has several small galleries promoting local artists. Falmouth and Penzance have
larger galleries and because the county has a long tradition of painting there are
usually new exhibitions on.
The Minack Theatre built into the cliff side at Porthcurno with its dramatic seascape backdrop is a must for any visitor at all times of the year. Also, a trip to St Mawes via the King Harry ferry is most enjoyable.
Naturally there are several good pubs, tearooms and restaurants on the Lizard peninsula ,serving excellent local produce , in which to while away many a pleasant hour .

Coverack Paris Hotel/pub is just 10 mins away, uphill on the way back to burn off dinner or a couple of beers. Beware the f&c shop is not reliable which in turn puts pressure on the Pub for evening dinner so you will almost certainly need an alternative if you are relying on supper out as options are a little bit limited. The little coffee/cake/sandwich place was always busy and the village shop is ok for emergencies. Built in 1810, this classical coastal hideaway is a magical getaway for up to six guests. The highlight of the Watch House is, of course, the magnificent views of the ocean, which can be admired from any room. It has one of the best headland views in the South West, and the large windows throughout the property mean you can really make the most of this unique location throughout your stay.

The beautifully appointed bedrooms are on split levels, the first floor home to the master bedroom with a king-size bed and of course, those sea views. A 'sea view' twin bedroom is just across the landing, as well as the family bathroom. The third bedroom, also a twin, is up a further three stairs; this room overlooks the garden and, just like the other bedrooms, boasts luxury bed linen and comfortable beds. - "We had an excellent stay at Trevarrow Coverack. We loved the natural feel of the village and the surrounding area. The beach was so convenient for the kids once we had learnt to navigate the rocks and set our watches for low tide. Trevarrow was a comfortable and convenient base to explore the Lizzard & had enough space for all to enjoy. We especially enjoyed eating & drinking on the front overlooking the cove. A handy tip is to keep a look out for the fishing boats when they return to harbour to buy lobster crabs & fish - Incredible value and delicious as you can't get any fresher. Other highlights were eating at the New Yard Restaurant which delighted with superb food matched with excellent provenance & sustainable ethics, Dinner at The Bay Hotel where Sam Jones is a highly accomplished Chef and offers good value & of course Elizabeth's Cornish Pasties (about 10 doors down Elizabeth makes & sells pasties from her own home) which are a must! Our only negatives were There was not enough plates & cutlery for 6 people to eat two meals so you ended up having to use the dishwasher after each meal. There was not any recycling bags for card / paper & bottles - This was annoying and the refuse collectors were how can I say it challenging but we got them to take it in the end. It would have been a nice touch to have had implements for cracking crustaceans. We found Sheila (house keeper) most helpful & responsive. Overall and excellent stay."

St Keverne has a Post Office, shops and two pubs. The Lizard Peninsula has many coves and beaches and from Lizard Point there are wonderful sea views from the windswept cliffs, which provide fabulous walking opportunities along this stretch of the South West Coast Path.

- "The large property was excellently presented with the most amazing views over Coverack Bay. It was prepared to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need however one shower wasn't working which was a slight inconvenience as the owner wasn't able to get it fixed during our stay. We would highly recommend staying at Penmarth House. We all loved playing ball games on the large lower lawn and the family of rabbits living in the garden kept us amused."

Coverack is a beautiful and peaceful place to escape the main tourist routes and offers a beach in the sheltered bay, which is ideal for swimming, windsurfing, and kayaking, as well as shops, pub, and restaurants. Further amenities lie in St Keverne, which has a post office, shops and 2 traditional pubs. The Lizard Peninsula has many spectacular coves and beaches and is noted for its rare geology and plants. From Lizard Point there are wonderful sea views from the windswept cliffs, which provide fabulous walking opportunities along this stretch of the South West Coast Path. Inland is the market town of Helston, known for its Flora Day Festival, and in Gweek is The Cornish Seal Sanctuary, whilst approximately ten miles away is the Culdrose Airfield, where once a year the public are welcome to come and meet the Fleet Air Arm, the Royal Navy’s flying force. Coverack is ideally located for exploring The Lizard Peninsula, as well as the lovely seaside towns of St Ives and Falmouth and many other beaches and pretty villages.

Fourth bedroom on the second floor with superking zip and link bed (can be made into two singles), walk in wardrobe and sea views. Ensuite with freestanding bath with shower overhead.
