There is a large oak dining table comfortably seating 6, sofas and chairs to relax in after a busy day and plenty of space for everyone.
The well equipped kitchen has everything you need, whether it's a full Sunday lunch or just breakfast.....you are on holiday after all. Large fridge/freezer, hob and oven, microwave,dishwasher and washer and dryer (located in the basement) complete the essentials.
Moving outside there is a dining table on the lower terrace, chairs on the upper terrace all enjoying the spectacular views. The lawns wrap around the front of the property and the basement area is accessed here too....there is a BBQ, surf boards, fishing nets, wind break etc.
At the rear of the property there is a deck with sofas and chairs to catch the afternoon sun.

Our property is ideally placed above the fishing port of Newlyn, between Penzance and Mousehole. The pebble beach is around a 10 minute walk away with sandy beaches at Marazion (overlooking St.Michael's Mount) a 10 minute drive. Land's End, Sennen Cove, Porthcurno and the Minnack outdoor theatre are all easily accessible as is St.Ives. The bungalow itself is set down a footpath which leads from the parking space and garage.

The property is close to all that Newlyn has offer, including the famous Mackerel Sky seafood tapas bar and The Tolcarne Inn gastro pub. The area also boasts an independent arthouse cinema, art gallery, Jelbert's homemade ice cream, pasty shop, cheese shop and art school.

The idyllic village of Mousehole is just 2 miles away and is a lovely place to go for lunch and a wander along the harbour. The Old Coastguard pub serves delicious local food and a superb Sunday Lunch that's not to miss. The Rock Pool cafe is a must on sunny days, with its tucked-away sea-front location and extensive food and cocktail list.

The bustling town of Penzance is just a mile away, and it's just a short walk to the newly renovated promenade and famous Art Deco outdoor saltwater swimming pool. The town has an array of independent shops, and you can pick up a ferry from the harbour for a day's wildlife trip (you even may see seals and dolphins!). At low tide you can venture across the causeway to St Michaels Mount and spend the day exploring the isolated island with its historic castle and gardens. There are also ferries at high tide.

This part of Cornwall is home to a stunning selection of beaches and coastal walks; Cape Cornwall and the wonderful Minack Theatre are just 8 miles, whilst Lands End is also within close reach. We would highly recommend picking up the walk from Lands End to Nanjizal Cove - where you can enjoy peaceful dip in the sea and amazing cream teas.

The property is also well setup for those on a working holiday or business trip. It features high speed internet. The kitchen table also makes a bright and airy spot to work.

Given the remote nature of Cornwall, a car is recommended for getting the most out of your stay here. That said, the property is located within walking distance of Penzance which has very good transport links. Trains run from London Paddington on a regular basis throughout the year. And there is lots to do within walking distance from the property.

Penzance and further afield....: The market town of Penzance is approximately 1 mile away, a lovely walk along the coast path and promenade. Here you will find shopping, historic buildings and architecture, cinema, restaurants, galleries, library, the beautiful Art Deco Jubilee Pool, the harbour and boat trips. It is here that you can catch the Scillonian for a day trip to the sub tropical Isles of Scilly. There is also a leisure centre for those rainy days. Golowan Festival is the end of June.
There are many historic sites such as Levant mine, Lanyon Quoit, Chysauster, Merry Maidens, Truro Cathedral and Tintagel. Dotted around the coast are lovely beaches and hidden little coves for you to find and explore. Sennen, Porthcurno, St Ives, Gwithian and Marazion are very popular.
Golf: Cape Cornwall Golf & Leisure Resort is a truly unique place to relax, dine, or enjoy a game of golf on Britain's first and last 18 hole course.

The whole of Cornwall is easily accessible with the River Tamar, the furthest north of the county being 1 1/2 hours away by car.

The house is spacious and has enough room for a family with 3 children. Attention if you have young children, the garden wall is very small. Everything was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Jill is very nice and helpful. There are lots of seagulls due to the proximity to the harbor. Who also like to sit on the terrace sometimes. The neighbor fed the seagulls sometimes. Newlyn is not a typical vacation resort but still very original. With the bus you are quickly in Penzance or Mousehole or Marazion (St. Michaels Mount) Some beautiful beaches, eg Sennen Cove, Porthcurno, Carbis Bay or the Minack Theater are less than 20 minutes away by car. All in all we had a great vacation with many impressions."

The cottage has a wonderful history where crab baskets were woven in support of the famous Newlyn crab and fishing industry.

- "The owners were the icing on the cake with our break in Cornwall! So helpful and pleasant to chat to and full of extremely useful tips and info. The house has one of the best views in Cornwall, surely. Newlyn is quieter than many other towns and is still very much a fishing village, which suited us perfectly as we were unsure about going away during the pandemic and appreciated the quieter atmosphere. The house was perfect for our family of 4, plus my sister in law. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and the pizza oven in the garden was great fun, the kids (and us!) absolutely loved making pizzas and had great success! The garden is beautiful to sit in: big comfy sofa and large table to dine at. We walked into Mousehole several times which was easy (the house is up a hugely steep hill though so some fitness required!) and we popped down to Newlyn frequently for beautiful ice cream from Jelberts, a sit on the sea front, or dinner at the very excellent Tolcarne Inn. We drove to St Ives a few times to eat and swim (with seals, as it turned out!), did lots of walks around the coast (Gurnards Head especially memorable) and we popped into the Tremeneere Gardens, all of which were great. There are good transport links and a local bus service to Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole. There is a Main Line railway station at Penzance which is just a 10-minute taxi ride for guests who want to arrive by train. The bungalow was well situated for walks into Penzance and along the coastal path to Mousehole and also easy to access the main roads to visit National Trust properties and other tourist destinations. The weather wasn’t too good while we were there but it was always nice to return to Bosorne for warmth and home comforts. We enjoyed our holiday in Bosorne and can highly recommend. We will certainly return in the future."

Set in an elevated harbour side position, guests can admire uninterrupted views to the iconic castle topped island of St Michael's Mount and as far as the Lizard Peninsula on clear days. The cottage provides accommodation for up to four adults and two children with three bedrooms, one bathroom and one WC. There is a sitting room on the first floor, where time can be spent watching the changing skies and tides and the comings and goings of the fishing boats as they land their catch, and a kitchen dining room on the ground floor. To the rear is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and a barbecue. Pay and display parking available within a 5 minute walk. It is unusual in that visitors can still watch the landing and auctioning of fish at the market, as many families have for centuries before. This Cornish village is clustered around the harbour, with its historic 800 year old quay (the Mayflower actually left for America from this quay, not Plymouth) curling around a few small boats on the western side. Famous for the Newlyn school of Art and Newlyn Copper, the Cornwall Coastal Path passes through the village, as does the level Mousehole to Marazion cycle path. An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along both, with basking sharks, dolphins and grey seals often seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as surf fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for watersports enthusiasts as well as giving visitors an opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.

This light airy, conveniently located, harbour side holiday home is nestled above Newlyn's old harbour and between two terrific pubs; The Red Lion with its crab soup and the newly refurbished Fisherman's Arms.

My home has a distinctive design spread over five levels. It comfortably accommodate five adults and has additional capacity with two more futons. It is an ideal retreat for families and friends seeking an unforgettable active coastal getaways.

As you step inside, you'll find yourself on the entry level, where a comfortable single bedroom awaits, complete with an adjoining shower/WC and a convenient laundry room.

Ascend the stairs to the next level, where a spacious and inviting kitchen/diner beckons. Sunlight streams through the windows, casting a warm glow. From here, step out into the sun-dappled sunken courtyard, adorned with colorful fish motifs that seem to swim up the walls. Ascend the steps to the garage and its parking space, accommodating a car (at a slight angle to maximize access for neighbours). Parking is precious in any Cornish town. The small Cornish Council carpark is free overnight.

The third level unveils a versatile living room that will tickle your senses with its captivating views of Newlyn's historic harbour quay, the bustling fishing port, and the panoramic beauty of Mounts Bay from both the room and the balcony. This room boasts comfortable seating and a double sofa bed for added accommodation, encouraging relaxation and shared moments. Rather than a TV, we offer a cinematic experience – connect your own device to the projector and immerse yourself in your favourite films. A DVD player and selection of DVDs, books, and games are thoughtfully provided, adding to the leisurely ambiance.

A few steps further, you'll discover a generously sized double bedroom that affords charming views of the harbour through the adjacent sitting room. Open the bi-fold doors to an evening sun balcony, where you can unwind and admire the surroundings. The room also offers space for a travel cot (not provided), ensuring convenience for families with young ones.

At the top of our holiday haven rests a top-floor suite, with a spacious family bathroom and an inviting double bedroom. Greet each day with the magical spectacle of the morning sunrise over St. Michaels Mount and the iconic red and white sea-level defining hut.

Our house is cherished by friends and family as a multi-generational functional home for those seeking an active holiday experience or simply to watch the busy life go by. The coastal footpath passes the front door with a Wed-Sat charity coffee shop on the old quay and two fabulous pubs for dining 100m away on either side. While outdoor spaces for young children or a dog are not available within the property, a brief one-minute stroll leads you to the nearest green space. Just five minutes the other way the vibrant Penzance promenade awaits, offering an array of recreational activities for youngsters, including swimming, basketball, skate parks, amusement arcades and play areas. Mousehole, being so close offers other swimming and the opportunity to enjoy quaint village life.

The courtyard is a functional space, perfect for drying wetsuits, cleaning surfboards, or tending to muddy walking boots after a day of adventure.

Embrace the ever-changing atmosphere of the bay, marvelling at the dynamic comings and goings of the bustling port and the dramatic shifts in weather.

Convenience is at your doorstep, with a bus stop and e-bike rentals just outside, facilitating your exploration of the charming Mousehole village. Whether you choose to stroll along the seafront or venture through picturesque fields to reach Mousehole, the journey is as enchanting as the destination. Recently voted in the top 10 beaches in the world. Pedn Vounder beach 20 mins drive and a short walk away. The Minack Theatre is not much further and all the wonderful surf beaches of Sennen, Gwynver and even Porthmeor in St Ives are only 7 miles away.
