- "A stunning property, beautifully designed and appointed in an amazing location. It’s clean and comfortable too, substance as well as style. There’s no tv but the window wall provided plenty to watch; birds, bunnies, weather and people. The parking is a little walk away, not on site, so we mostly found it easier to park in the public parking spaces nearby, which was fine. I would have liked to have the manufacturer user guides for the appliances, operating things like the sauna are not as intuitive as the info pack makes out! We loved the property and had a brilliant time, hope to return soon."

- "Our week in the Fog Signal Building was truly exceptional. The location, the nature, the view and especially the cozy building are perfect to get away and enjoy time far away from any disturbances. It was only calmness and a feeling of simple luxury. As an architect myself, I appreciate the design, the quality of materials and the floor plan of the building very much. Although there was a small incident with the electricity, the owners were able to send someone over within hours to have it fixed. The house is very well equipped with anything one might need and it was extraordinarily clean. We will definitely visit the Fog Signal Building and beautiful Dungeness again!"

The cottage is beautifully presented, oozes with character, is well equipped, was immaculately clean and is in the most amazing location right in the heart of Dungeness under the old Lighthouse. Only minor downside is the drive is a bit steep and our Octavia Estate was nearly grounding out on the bottom of the drive as we pulled off. There is however loads of free parking at the adjacent RHDR station if you needed it. The light, flowers views, walks sunsets and stars are all amazing and you don't really need to venture much further than the end of the garden gate to get all that if you don't want to! The wildflower garden is beautiful as is the shingle planting in the private rear garden. Great seafood at the local snack shack and the food at the Britannia is good too but the kitchen tends to close pretty early. Lovely breakfasts and lunches in the RH&DR station cafe too. Watch out for the local family of semi-tame foxes, who my daughter and I were able to feed by hand on our last evening at the cottage. We would recommend a stay here without hesitation. We have wanted to stay on Dungeness for several years and we were not in any way disappointed. It really is a unique place."

Coastguard Lookout is an old building and though built to the Coastguard Agency Standards, it sits in a very extreme and exposed position on the beach, which is one of its virtues, but also exposes it in storms to water ingress no matter what construction details are used. Both doors on the North East elevation utilise a storm section profile and water bars at ground level but in extreme north easterly storms water can penetrate these precautions.

- "This was a magical stay from the very point of arrival to departure. Even though there was so much to discover across Dungerness, temptation was to stay and enjoy this unique building. Beautifully converted (simply a beautiful piece of architecture) from a working coastguard lookout to a comfortable home from home. The views are to die for, but the experience of being so close to the sea, and separate from everything else is what made the stay that bit more special. It allows you to connect to the landscape and nature in a way we hadn't experienced anywhere else in the UK."

- "Out stay at Pump Station transported us to another world – both through its incredible location right on the shingle at Dungeness near to the two lighthouses, Prospect Cottage and the Fish Shack (delicious!) – and because of the wonderful architecture and history of Pump Station itself. We loved watching the light change and the hares run in the sea grass in the evening as we sat in the comfort of Pump Station's cosy living space. It was sunny enough to have breakfast out on the railway sleeper terrace amongst all the fascinating wildflowers and plants. During our stay we went on a fascinating tour of Prospect Cottage; went up the Old Lighthouse and enjoyed having dinner in Rye. We also visited two amazing churches – one with a marshmallow pink interior – the other in a spectacular setting in Romney Marsh. Bloom Stays were very prompt in answering my queries on making the booking and Pump Station was a fantastic place to stay."

Inside, the cottage has been completely refurbished and restored with a 30’s theme from Art Deco mirrors and ornaments and glasses, with a comfortable seating to sink into. Combine this lovely beach location with a wonderfully cosy wood burner and you can see the cottage is well worth a visit whatever the time of year!

As the cottage is close to Dungeness Lighthouse, you may hear the foghorn if its foggy! The Watch Tower: sleeps 6 guests (max 4 adults) in a detached cottage approximately 150 years old, 3 bedrooms (1 is walkthrough and is the access to the only full bathroom) 1 bathroom and 1 en-suite WC. Extensive courtyard garden with views of the reserve to the power station. Off road parking and walking distance from the Pilot in and of course the shoreline is across the road on the estate.

Bedroom 1 (sleeps 2) Bunk bedroom is location off the kitchen (Sleeps 2 children only!)

The living room - has a mix of seating including a large sofa for six guests. Piano, quirky log burner. Small Smart TV. Heaps of books, boardgames and entertainment.
Bedroom 2 - Walk through Twin bedroom (sleeps 2) Note this room connects to the conservatory and also the only full bathroom in the house. Hanging space only.

First Floor - Staircase leads up the tower.
Bedroom 3 (sleeps 2) Tower room king size bed accessed up a concrete staircase up in to the tower with dramatic views over the reserve to the power station. A small hidden WC and basin is located on the landing for the bedroom. (open but hidden no door)

Being one of the original fishermen’s cottages on Dungeness, Seaview Cottage has been lovingly restored to cater for modern needs yet still maintain it’s old charm with the original wood panelled interior throughout. It is perfectly situated with sea views to the front and the wild shingle beach known as The Desert of England all around you. The famous RHDR miniature steam railway runs just a few strides from your front door and the Dungeness National Nature Reserve stretches out behind you.

The whole of Dungeness is registered as a National nature reserve and is unofficially recognised as the only desert in the UK. Popular attractions are the RNLI lifeboat station just opposite the cottage, The Old Lighthouse and of course the RHDR steam railway. Derek Jarman’s Prospect Cottage and it’s famous garden are a short stroll. Highly recommended are the Snack Shack at Dungeness Fish Hut serving freshly cooked local fish and the Pilot inn serving their famous fish and chips. Free parking for two cars is available at the property. A coastal bus service operates from outside the Pilot Inn. The RHDR steam railway runs from Dungeness to Hythe.
