Located only a 20 minute drive from the city of Elliot Lake, come escape the hustle and bustle to enjoy the peace & quiet on Dunlop Lake. Whatever your pleasure; swimming , canoeing, kayaking or fishing, you can do it all at The Sunrise. There is a 2 seater kayak, a 16 foot canoe, as well as a 12' aluminum boat with oars. If your preference is to simply relax, there is a large dock to sit and soak in the sun, listen to the call of the loons or enjoy the beautiful evening sunsets.
On those beautiful summer nights, you can relax by the bonfire while gazing up at the stars. ( fire permit on site).

For boaters, the Dunlop boat launch is located about 2 kilometers down Dunlop Shores Road.

The large kitchen is fully modern and stocked with all of the necessities and includes a dishwasher!
From the kitchen, walk out to the deck where meals cooked on the propane BBQ , can be enjoyed either outside at the picnic table, or inside at the large dining table.

The great room is an open concept living and dining room, with large windows, a wood burning fireplace and ample seating.

There is also a bathroom on the main floor with a stackable laundry unit.

The Phoenix House is a special property currently undergoing its transformation with a freshly renovated and modernized interior. Don’t judge a book by its cover when you drive up. Enjoy your stay with peaceful and private surroundings. The cottage was built in 2009 and has large windows overlooking the lake. It is situated on 2.2 acres of land with easy access to the waterfront. There is a deck to enjoy the view of the lake and sunsets. You'll find a fire pit and BBQ. There are many ATV and snowmobile trails nearby to explore. The lake offers excellent trout and bass fishing. There is a 16 ft. Kevlar canoe available for use. As well as two life jackets, paddles and a water safety kit.

The fishing is incredible so be sure to bring your boat and cruise the long lake full of islands, rocky shoals and back bays. If winter is your preference, grab your the snow machines and enjoy the thousands of kilometres of open trails right from your driveway or bring the ice gear and explore the hundreds of trout lakes in the area. Photographers admire the rugged northern landscape in the fall months with the bright colours popping through the hardwoods at every turn in the road. Keep your eyes open for wildlife as the area is home to bears, moose, wolves, foxes, eagles, hawks, grouse and more!

- "Nice spot on the lake, with a big deck with a great view." - "We had a very peaceful and calming experience. The cottage had everything (and more!) that we needed for our stay. Everything was spotless and thoughtful. The swimming was great, as promised. We spent a great deal of time on the spacious deck and on the dock near the water. The walk to the dock was challenging. The owners are working on adding stairs, but during my stay it was difficult. Anyone with mobility concerns would find it very challenging to get to and from the dock. The wifi worked well, even with multiple people using it at the same time. I was unable, however, to get any cell signal or to connect to a network anywhere on the property. It would have been helpful if that had been mentioned in the description of the property, in order to arrange alternate communication methods with people at home."

Located in the district of East Algoma - in the town of Iron Bridge, Ontario, Cliff's Place is a one-of-a-kind vacation retreat. The house boasts a designer kitchen, a beautiful view from the living room window of the Mississagi River, comfortable furnishings (all on one floor), and a fully landscaped 0.75-acre lot, complete with both a Berry Garden and an Orchard.

The property is located halfway between the towns of Thessalon and Blind River, Ontario half a kilometer off Highway 17, and is ideally situated for day trips into the Cities of Sault Ste. Marie, and Sudbury, ON. The Aces Restaurant is about a fifteen-minute walk from the house (you must cross the bridge), and boasts some of the best Chinese Cuisine in the region. The Red Top Restaurant offers many vegetarian choices on their menu.

Basic amenities are provided in the kitchen - complimentary frozen fresh berries from the garden, 1 Liter of 2% milk, 6 farm fresh eggs, and a loaf of bread, homemade preserves, and a 375 g rasher of Bacon (if Vegetarian, please confirm and we will omit the Bacon and/or Milk/Eggs). The cupboards are stocked with basic staples. All we ask is if you use a bag or two of these staples, please consider replacing what you've used; take a little, give a little!

We also offer cable dish television, Wifi Internet Access, and Movies on DVD and VHS. Also provided are classic board games; Crokinole, Cribbage, Dominoes, Scrabble, and KerPlunk. There are two security cameras in the kitchen; one directed at the front door, and another directed at the side yard. The other security cameras are located in the Homeowner’s private storage room.

Check-in is after 15:30, and check-out is by 11:00 am. - "The cottage met all our expectations, and we had a great time. The host provided a lot of activities (we really appreciated the canoe to explore the lake, which has many beautiful cliffs and dramatic cliffs). We would have appreciated more of a heads up that we needed to bring our own towels and bedding (we did just in case, as we had to leave two days before check-in), and also a heads up that there was no drinking water there and there was no drinking water left (luckily we arrived early enough to go into town to refill the water jugs). It should also be noted that the bedrooms don't have walls that go all the way to the ceiling, which is great for keeping the rooms cool at night, but not great for privacy if that's a concern). The location is also great, very quiet and with great views. Not particularly hard to get in and out of, and only about 10 minutes from the town so buying necessities wasn't difficult. We'd definitely stay here again in future. "

- Bring your ATV, 4x4 or snowmobile and hop on the famed Elliot Lake trails only a short 10 minutes away right from our place.
- This spot is one of the best fishing and ice fishing places around. There is a variety of different species like lake trout, smallmouth bass, walleye and ling. We have a snowmobile path right off our yard onto Dunlop Lake for accessing your ice fishing spots! Ask us for more information about fishing!
- Hike the Helenbar trail at Mississaugi Park
or Cobra trail on the deer trail. All within a short distance.
- Our place is close to portages such as Ten Mile Lake and Claim Lake. We are happy to provide any information on these and more!
- The public boat launch is a quick 1.5 km away. There is access to an additional public boat launch off hwy 108 if you prefer to travel on paved road with your boat in tow, resulting in a beautiful 15 minute boat ride to our dock.
- Skiers rejoice! Bring your downhill skis and enjoy a day at Mount Dufour where it’s known for short line ups. Cross country ski on a local trail and enjoy the majestic winters Elliot Lake offers.

Other features include: 65" HD Smart TV with apps to stream your own accounts. We have fast internet with Starlink, wifi, and an ethernet port. A wood burning fire pit and propane fire table outdoors as well as an indoor wood burning stove with ample local seasoned wood. Brand new Napoleon BBQ. Kids toys, games and board games for use during rainy or very cold days.

Electric baseboards provide quick and convenient heating. There is AC on the upper level and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living room on the lower level.

Other things to note
This area receives Rogers cell service only. However, it can be spotty at times. Wi-Fi enabled calling and texting is recommended and works excellent.

There is a slight slope to the driveway. During winter months, AWD and 4x4 equipped vehicles are recommended. We have a parking spot at the top of the driveway for those without AWD or 4x4.

Garbage and recycling bins are located 3 km from the cottage.

Additional rules
Our aim is to provide you with a 5 star stay and to be as comfortable as possible. Our goal is for you to create long lasting memories. For us to do so, we would truly appreciate if you follow the following house rules.

Please be respectful of the neighbours when outside. Sound travels on the water. Quiet time starts at 10pm. Noise complaints are not tolerated. You may be asked to leave with no refund.

Absolutely no smoking or vaping. Extra charges will apply for smoke removal.

Please inform us of any additional visitors (non-overnight guests) in advance.

No additional guests allowed that are not indicated on the booking confirmation. This is to be fair to guests who pay the extra fee and to prevent large gatherings and partying.

Please remove your outdoor shoes. Slippers/ indoor shoes are welcome!

Children are welcome however the house is not totally child proofed. Monitor your children at your discretion and at all times near the water, fire pit , wood stove and upstairs bedroom. We do have children and infant amenities available upon request. We want to keep your little ones safe! ❤️

Do not leave food or garbage outside as it will attract wildlife.

Please do not burn anything other than wood in the indoor fireplace.

We love being able to offer you all the fun that being on the lake and outside can provide. In order for us to do so, a signed waiver is required for use of water toys prior to use. Use of these are prohibited without a signed waiver.

Only toilet paper is to be flushed down the toilet. We are on a septic system (anything else will clog the sewage system).

Outside: Take advantage of the fully fenced in yard that attaches to the wrap around deck. Food: There's lots of food options, including a lodge restaurant less than 2 minutes from us (open during summer months). There's diners, cafes, local shops (antiquing!) and groceries all within 25 KM, and a restaurant in Spanish Ont. that will deliver to you! We also have a lovely Mennonite community close by who sell farm-fresh eggs, grass-fed poultry and beef, fresh produce and baked goods (bread!).

Cozy 2 bedroom cabin nestled on the Little White River just 15 minutes north of Iron Bridge, Ontario. Located on Snowmobile and ATV trails. Great fishing in the area with easy access to lakes and crown land. Please note ** Running water in cabin during Spring/Summer/Fall months only - water jugs for dishes/drinking will be provided for winter months**. Shared year round Shower House available just a short walk away with full bathroom. Outdoor privy (outhouse) for bathroom facility year round next to cabin.

This beautiful waterfront property was built as a dream home by two family friends. They spent their lives here beside the big water on the north channel of Lake Huron enjoying their shared passions of boating, fishing, and nature. Nestled on the shores of Popeye lake, the Sweet Pea is a 4 bedroom lakeside getaway is furnished for comfort and our goal is to make your stay as relaxing as possible. The large windows, high ceilings and open concept are perfect for gatherings and at the end of the night guests can retire to the sleeping area downstairs. Update: We have made the decision to remove Starlink from the Sweet Pea and replace it with a Rogers Hub, our only other option. There will always be internet but may be slower at some points. Starlink was removed as I cannot in any way support it's creator moving forward.
The House: Built 8 years ago, the Sweet Pea is situated on the shores of Popeye Lake located 20 mins north of the city of Elliot Lake. With approximately 3000 square feet of living area, this house can accommodate up to 11 overnight guests comfortably. There is 1 bedroom on the main level with a king bed and there are 3 more bedrooms downstairs. Each bedroom downstairs contains 1 queen bed and designed with a theme: Ocean, Garden and Mountain. Each room contains a dresser, closet and mirror so you can easily store your personal belongings. The loft contains a large sectional sofa that has a double bed pullout while the Ocean room downstairs area contains an additional comfortable daybed. The main bathroom contains both a shower and jet tub while the 2nd washroom contains a shower, sauna and large change room area. The walkout basement has a slate pool table and an infra red sauna. The most popular room in the house is the Sunroom, which is a perfect place to curl up and enjoy a good book. If it's chilly outside the masonry fireplace flown in from Europe can be loaded with wood to warm you up while you slow cook a stew or some flatbread in the compartment above the fire.
The landscape: If you're looking for privacy, look no further. This 4 acre lot is very private as adjacent houses are not visible throughout the spring and summer. Relax outside on the deck and dock by the water or enjoy the views from the deck beside the house. Popeye lake itself is a small lake that is perfect for swimming or kayaks and canoes. The small lake reaches the mid 80's in July and will stay warm until the end of September. In addition, there is now a firepit area that was completed at the end of May 2019. This house is located a few mins from the entrance to a large trail system and is a perfect starting point for snow machine or ATV trips. New to summer 2021, there is now a grassy area for games or for kids to play safely. Games provided are horseshoes, badminton, volleyball, soccer nets, croquet, bocce ball, can jam and the new frisbee golf course.
The appliances and kitchen: This house contains one main fridge with ice and water, one drink fridge, deep freezer, dish washer, washer, dryer, oven, microwave, drip coffee makers as well as a kettle, of which all are available for use. A 6 burner barbecue is now available for use to accommodate all of your cooking needs. The kitchen is loaded with everything you need to prepare a large meal with a large number of utensils, plates, glasses, cups, mugs, bowls and most of what you can think of. The appliances are all new as of 2023 and the oven has dehydrate, air fry and other functions.
The Extras: In addition to the sauna and pool table, currently there are 3 kayaks, 1 kids kayak, 1 paddle board and 1 canoe available for use, along with life jackets. The house contains a variety of books that we will continue to accumulate and feel free to take advantage of the 'take a book, leave a book' if you find something you like. Over 30 board games including cards and poker chips in case you get stuck with a rainy day. A Rogers hub for internet is now available so there will always be internet however there may be slower speeds sometimes (Starlink has been removed). There is satellite TV and there has been a cell phone booster installed in the house to make sure you can send and receive calls and texts. The parking area is fairly larger and there is an area for a camper with electricity hookup. Firewood will be available for use with the fireplace and firepit as long as there is no fire ban outside.
The Winter: The house is winterized and insulated with the masonry fireplace and baseboards heaters in every room as the heat sources. The road in is plowed in the winter and the driveway is shoveled as well and not very steep. In suitable Canadian fashion, I have 2 hockey nets, many sticks and 2 sets of goalie equipment if you want to setup a game in the parking area. There are huge tobogganing hills on the trails nearby and there will be some equipment to use for that at the house. There is a bird feeder outside of the Sun room where you can view various specious of birds come to eat or try to see if you can get a bird to eat out of the palm of your hand.
Other Notes
1. The name Sweet Pea has been given to this house for 2 reasons. The plethora of green both outside and inside the house is much like a pea. Also situated on Popeye lake, this house is named after the lovable character from the Popeye cartoon.
2. This house can only be rented as the full house and individual rooms are not available
3. The house is facing due south in order to get as much sun as possible throughout the year

4. Pets are welcome Entire house, waterfront and 4 acres of land Someone will always be available and on call in case you have any questions or issues. I usually respond right away. Only 16 cottages on the lake, no cottages on the ends or the other side of the lake. The lakefront is located between 2 points and the only man made object you can see from lake sitting area is one neighbor's dock. Neighbors are not visible in the spring/summer. A motorized vehicle will be required to get to this house
