- "From the outside you wouldn’t expect much from this hotel, but the pleasant girl at the front desk and the size of the rooms made this one of our favorite stays during our 10 day trip. The dining room was open all night with drinks and snacks! The room was huge with a large bathroom as well. Beds were very comfortable. Dining area with table and chairs is found outdoors. There are two sleeping lofts, one of which has a double bed and the other has a single bed. Note that there are ladders up to the sleeping lofts, not suitable for small children. The surroundings around Väsbyviken offer a lot for you who want an active holiday. If you bring your own canoe or kayak, you can easily launch these below the cottage. A little further away is Mälarbaden which has a well-known swimming area, golf course with restaurant and paddle courses. If hiking is something that interests you, you can easily connect to for example the Gyllenhielmska Trail down by Torshälla canal, the trail is 36 km and ends at Sundbyholms Slott. The kitchen is large and well equipped with everything a large group would need. An added bonus is the close proximity to a slow moving river, leading onto an expansive lake, and a nearby swimming beach. There is a private jetty with access to rowing boats, a SUP board and a canoe. We made extensive use of these and it was magical. Definitely a bonus as usually you would need to pay extra for these types of facilities. If you love Swedish nature, then this will be exactly what you are looking for. Close proximity to a large shopping centre with everything you would need, including a System Bollaget. Recommend double checking with Katarina that the Wifi has been fixed. We struggled with it. Ended up resulting in a week "digital detox". Tough with five teenage kids in the group! :-) So also double check this if you need to work from the location. You'll need the Wifi as the cellphone reception is not strong in the area. Overall, highly recommended. Little slice of heaven. We and our friends will definitely be back.
