- "This is a great older home, close to the local river and close to amenities. It had a great hometown feel. The hostess was very sweet and added nice touches to make us feel welcome. My dad and I cooked a lot for my granddaughter and it was wonderful that the hostess had some of the basic staples and utensils that I didn't even think about when planning my trip. There were more stairs than I had thought about, but I should have realized with the house being in the mountain areas as it is. I would recommend this house to anyone without mobility issues."

Historical Zion Heritage Farm is a haven in wild, wonderful West Virginia. The tiny farmhouse is a diminutive, unique space built with you in mind, with a full kitchen and bath, rockers on the front porch, fire pit, stocked pond & dock, and rows of apple trees to roam.

Located between Morgantown/Bridgeport, the tiny farmhouse is a great jumping-off spot for Cooper’s Rock Forest, Prickett’s Fort, rock climbing at the New River Gorge, rivers for kayaking, and miles of “Rails-to-Trails” for strolling.

The farm is a peaceful place - a genuine place - and I feel genuinely blessed not only to call it home, but to share it with you.

When you step onto the porch, with it's rocking chairs and Edison-style twinkle lights, you will immediately feel the "homeyness" of the tiny farmhouse. Inside you will find a one-room efficiency with a full-size futon which serves as both couch and bed. The mattress is a high-quality memory gel foam, topped with a cooling, pillow-top mattress cover. The tiny house has a full bathroom with shower, very well-equipped kitchen, and hi-speed WiFi.

You have access to most of the rest of the farm for wandering, contemplation and relaxing. In the spring you find the apple blossoms in bloom (I have more than 300 trees, both dwarf and full-sized). In summer flowers bloom as apple fruitlets swell, and my honeybees tend the blossoms. Late summer and fall bring the apple harvest which, depending upon variety, can last into November. Our orchard is "U-pick," and brings families with children to experience fresh air and honest food.

The Memorial Orchard in back of the tiny farmhouse is dedicated to the West Virginian service men and women who have died in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9/11. There is a granite, memorial bench at the top of this orchard, which overlooks the entire farm, and is a beautiful spot for reflection. From time to time, "Goldstar" family members (those who have lost a loved one in war) visit the farm to see "their" tree.

One of my favorite places on the farm is the dock. I have a 1/4-acre, spring-fed pond, great for swimming and stocked with bluegill, bass, and other small game fish which come when I call on summer evenings. You will find me there on most evenings and are most welcome to join me for a glass of wine. For chilly evenings on the dock, you will enjoy the calm and charm of the wood pellet stove and a cup of cocoa.

You will have access to all parts of the property with the exception of the barn / workshop, and my personal yard and space, where accompaniment may be required.

Historical Zion Heritage Farm is a haven in wild, wonderful West Virginia. The second of two tiny farm houses, this unique two-story home was built with you in mind. It offers a full kitchen and bath, rocking chairs on the front porch, a spring-fed, stocked, pond with dock, and rows of apple trees to roam.

Located between Morgantown / Bridgeport, the farm is a great jumping off spot for hiking Cooper’s Rock Forest, Prickett Fort, rock climbing at the Gorge, kayaking, and miles of trails.

Zion Heritage Farm is a peaceful place - a genuine place - and I feel genuinely blessed not only to call it home, but to be able to share it with you.

When you step onto the porch, with its rocking chairs, fountain (in warm weather), and Edison-style twinkle lights, you will immediately feel the "homeyness" of the tiny farmhouse.

Inside, you'll find a full kitchen, washer & dryer, full bathroom (shower) and work desk. The space offers two bedrooms on the 2nd floor, with full-size beds; the rooms are "sleeping room only," and do not offer a sitting area.

You have access to most of the rest of the farm for wandering, contemplation and relaxing. In the spring you'll find the apple trees in bloom. In summer flowers bloom as apple fruitlets swell, and my honeybees tend the blossoms. Late summer and fall bring the fruit harvest, which includes apples, peaches, blueberries and pears. The orchard is "U-pick" and brings families with children to experience fresh air and honest food.

The Memorial Orchard in back of the tiny farmhouse is dedicated to the West Virginian service men and women who have died in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9/11. There is a granite, memorial bench at the top of this orchard, which overlooks the entire farm, and is a beautiful spot for reflection. From time to time, "Goldstar" family members (those who have lost a loved one in war) visit the farm to see "their" tree.

One of my favorite places on the farm is the dock. I have a 1/4-acre, spring-fed pond, stocked with bluegill, bass, and other small game fish, which come when I call on summer evenings, and which is open to you for swimming and catch-and-release fishing. You will find me there on most evenings and are most welcome to join me for a glass of wine. For chilly evenings on the dock, you will enjoy the calm and charm of the wood pellet stove and a cup of cocoa.

You will have access to all parts of the property with the exception of the barn / workshop, and my personal yard and space, where accompaniment may be required. You may share the dock with myself or other guests on the farm.

I offer free use of my kayaks, corn hole game, and electric scooters while you're here. :)

This is a brand new home and the wifi (and therefore the TV) are NOT yet installed. High-speed Wifi installation is due on 5 September 2023. Good cell phone service in the area.
