Clean and includes much of what you may need - dishes, coffee maker, tea, linens, towels, and washcloths. The balcony was a favorite for my girls and me, a place for us to relax at the end of the day and to sip coffee in the mornings. Kayaks are available for use on the bay (did not use, but a nice option). Any messages sent to the owners were promptly answered. Check in and check out procedures were clear and easy. On the second floor of a separate building from the main house you'll have privacy, comfort, view and access to one of the most beautiful bays on Puget Sound. Enjoy our no-bank waterfront with view seating, lush gardens, and fire pit right on the beach.

Relax on your private deck where you can greet the morning sun with coffee & enjoy the evening shade with a glass of wine. In the foreground of your view you'll see the quiet lush Shade Garden designed by the owner, a Master Gardener.
From Crow's Nest's queen-size bed view the water and Mt. Rainier...or the very large flatscreen TV. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu & Hulu Live TV for standard tv cable services are included for those sports fans-
WiFi is very good! For those looking to do remote work, you'll find the Crow's Nest to be a quiet and easy atmosphere. We do consistently host guest who are simply looking for a change of scenery and who enjoy handling their zoom meetings & emails from laptops without issues.

Linens are provided. Laundry facilities available for those who stay a minimum of 1 week.

To reach the waterfront, you'll walk a narrow herb-filled side pathway to the right side of our waterfront home. Please feel free to use our shared dock between us and the neighbors to the left. We've had many a guest bring a blanket down to the dock to site upon and enjoy quiet time down there with their feet dangling from the sides.
Additionally, we do have a small firepit with seating which is available to use during non-winter months, so please just ask if interested!
If you'd like to stretch your muscles and do a bit of water activity, there are two orange colored kayaks and life jackets available. Feel free to paddle your way around the peaceful waters and explore Wollochet Bay. You are also welcome to bring your own paddle boards, kayaks, canoes or whatever boats you float.
Even in the WINTER, this cozy coastal retreat offers a quiet tranquility and beauty. Hundreds of unusual and beautiful migrating waterfowl visit these waters only at this time of the year. The sunsets can be quite spectacular and, with the occasional cold snap, we'll get the occasional snow once or twice a year. Our weather is temperate and seldom gets too hot (usually in the 70's and 80's in the the summer) or too cold (with winter averaging in the 40's).
Parking - we do have one available dedicated parking spot for our renters. If you do have a guest/family member in the area who would like to stop by for the day, it shouldn't be an issue. Any additional parking needs for overnight or longer term, please just inquire with us directly as parking is limited.

- "Words cannot describe the hospitality, charm and sense of “home” Berg’s Landing provided our family during our 3 week stay. A home with a rich tradition of history and more importantly family has been perfectly kept in-tact by Marc and Kristen (and family) and only added to the memories we take from our trip to the PNW. The neighbors / neighborhood were wonderful and the location only added to the enjoyment that Berg’s Landing provided. The beach and The Sound provided hours of activity/fun for our children and hours of peace and relaxation for us during all hours of the day. The only negative we take from our trip was not booking Berg’s Landing for 4 weeks and having to finally depart."

- "Very nice" - "I don’t know much about cottages but all I can say is the place was beautiful. It was super cute and peaceful the neighborhood is lovely and felt safe. The beach was just a little walk through the woods. The company( Vacasa) was great to work with Donna responded asap to any concerns we had. I would definitely book through Vacasa again! :) The only complaint is I wish we would’ve stayed longer so we could do more exploring and relaxation at the beach!"

- "We loved every minute of our trip! The cabin was perfect and absolutely adorable. Carolyn the host, was warm and kind. She also thought of and supplied the cabin with everything anyone could possibly need. Everything was neat as a pin, and very well organized. The bed was really comfy, sheets were super good quality, the TV and cable worked great (which normally we wouldn't care about but we wanted to watch the Olympics in the evening). One morning that was a little cool we turned on the fireplace and it was cozy as ever. We love to kayak so the two kayaks were a big draw for us. While out kayaking, three seals popped up along the way and a we also saw a couple of dolphins in the distance. Ahhh.... Even though it feels like you are worlds away, the cabin is only a 20 minute drive from Gig Harbor. We really appreciated a quality grocery store called Metropolitan Market. You can pick up incredible produce, delicious baked goods and quality prepared food. And we're super picky! Lastly, don't miss the I-Screamery in Gig Harbor. An artisan local ice cream shop inside a BBQ restaurant in Gig Harbor. The "Bee's Knee's flavor (buttermilk and honey) was some of the best ice cream we've tasted. The flavor may sound weird but you have to at least as for a taste! We loved the cabin, the location, the views, the host. We will definitely be back! "

- "What a charming spot! The house was spotless and well cared for. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The beds were comfy and the decor was lovely. - "Charming cottage with a beautiful view from every window. Loved waking up to a group of Canadian geese and a momma deer with her fawn would come by in the afternoon. We packed in our groceries and seasonings, however the kitchen had a plethora of seasonings, coffee cocoa and fixings for pancakes! Beds were comfy, but small. Grandpa is a large fellow with mobility disability, so grandma had to climb the steep steps to the loft. If you have allergies or nose is sensitive to musky scents of an aged home, 5 nights is too long. All in all it was a great stay"

Refrigeration & Freezer Options
We want to make sure you have everything you need to store your food and drinks comfortably during your stay. In the pantry, you’ll find a standard-size stainless steel refrigerator available for all your fresh food needs. There’s also a stand-alone freezer next to the gas grill—perfect for keeping frozen items—and two mini-fridges designated for beverages.

Please note: The large Sub-Zero refrigerator is currently not operational. You're welcome to use it for room-temperature storage (such as dry goods), but it won't keep items cold. We appreciate your understanding and kindly ask that you do not attempt to use it for refrigeration.

Dishwashers
For your convenience, there are two dishwashers in the kitchen. The dishwasher on the left is fully functional and available for your use. The one on the right is currently out of service and will not be replaced at this time. Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly!

Please be aware that the guesthouse on the front side of the home is occupied by a tenant. They do not have beach access, the beach and dock are solely for guests of this rental to enjoy.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). - "We saw so much wildlife here it was so much fun watching from the balconies and experiencing harbor seals, seahawks and other birds I do not know the names of. The seals in the cove were the highlight for the kids who had lots of room to spread out and play games and enjoy the weekend. It was a short drive to Point Defiance Zoo and the Sand Spit on the island as well as fishing pier all made for fun outings nearby. The home is well stocked for a good weekend with family and we will be returning for sure. The large kitchen made cooking meals easy and fun with the family all together, would highly recommend the home for holidays or family dinners. The staff were helpful and responsive and answered every question we had."

Safety: Please mind your steps and do not rush on the stairs.
The edge of the back yard is close to a cliff. Please stay away from it.
The house is using a septic system for sewerage. Please do not flush excessive waste.
We have a safety camera on the front porch and it will be on during your stay.

Stunningly set with a 180-degree view of Cedrona Cove, this Fox Island home makes a serene and scenic waterfront retreat. Whether you spend your days reading, writing, or basking in the island's natural beauty, this cottage promises a peaceful and rejuvenating experience.

This two-story cottage sits on the shoreline of Cedrona Cove, a tranquil inlet of Puget Sound on the east side of Fox Island. It's a lovely, natural setting, with groves of trees and distant mountains filling the view from the wraparound deck and picture windows. On the island, you'll find a fishing pier, a nature center, sunset sailing charters, and Tacoma DeMolay Sandspit Nature Preserve - all within a few miles.

Begin each day outside on the deck, the perfect, quiet spot to sip your morning coffee and watch for passing otters, eagles, and osprey. Inside, there's a chic and open kitchen with a Smeg refrigerator, a gas range, and other stainless steel appliances, where you can fix a bit of breakfast to enjoy with a view of the water.

In fact, you need never lose sight of the cove, whether you're reading on one of the sofas, playing board games, or streaming movies in the evenings. The bedroom is in the upstairs loft, with central air conditioning on hand to ensure you sleep soundly. A washer/dryer and complimentary WiFi are provided as well.

Island Oasis is located on Fox Island just outside of Gig Harbor. We are on a quiet driveway with views of the Puget Sound. Come enjoy 90ft of waterfront to paddle board, kayak, fish, and boating. Our deck is a perfect place to hang out with family and friends enjoying the views and cooking up some food on the BBQ. We regularly have deer, birds, and seals out every day.
The space
Guests have access to the entire main level of the unit A, which contains the bedrooms (2), bathrooms (2), kitchen, dining room, living room, and deck looking over the water.

We have a trail that leads to our waterfront and dock. Here you will find kayaks and paddle boards.
Guest access
Guests also have access to the laundry room on the lower level.

Guests can also walk down the path with a moderate decline/incline to the waterfront and dock which is where the kayaks are located. Please note that the dock does NOT contain a ladder. There are steps down to the beach that can get very slippery as they are submerged in water during higher tides. Use of the waterfront (incl. the dock and kayaks) is at your own risk.
Other things to note
The path down to the waterfront is about a 200 ft. It is a moderately difficult hike up and down the hill, especially if you are carrying something heavy. We do NOT recommend carrying your own kayaks up and down the hill unless you are very strong and able-bodied.
