While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. Our charming converted Barn is located within the 300 acre estate of Burningfold Manor between the country villages of Dunsfold and Plaistow, 12 miles south of Guildford, Surrey. An hour by car from London or 45 min from our local station to Waterloo and within easy reach of the seaside resort of Brighton.

This spacious five-bedroom barn comprises of 4 super king bedrooms and 1 double bedroom with 3 ensuites, 1 bathroom and 1 w/c. We had my son’s family with young grandchildren and because there are two distinct living spaces there was plenty of room for us all. The place was comfortably warm and full of delightful water colour paintings. The owners live in the manor house next door and are on hand if needed. There are some great pubs nearby as well as some National Trust properties. The Sculpture Park is a must see, especially if there are children. The Barn is a traditional open plan, queen-post oak frame with exposed beams. It is very light and airy, full of character and comfortable.

Our home is a 3 bed semi-detached light-filled cottage down a beautiful, rural country lane in the Surrey area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We wake up to the sound of horses and roosters and have the most gorgeous country walks right on our doorstep.

15 minutes walk to a quaint country pub and lots to see and do in the area. 12 minutes walk to the train station for direct link to London Waterloo.

We have a large, private garden with 2 outdoor seating areas; one on the patio outside the kitchen, and one at the top of the garden next to the hot tub.

Nestled centrally in the idyllic, historic village of Chiddingfold, adjacent to its Norman church, this picturesque, extended, semi-detached period cottage, offers a perfect retreat for short lets, and will be a delight to those interested in the arts and gardens. A beloved family home for over 35 years, and alive with the creativity of its owners. Just yards from 2 beautiful old pubs and the village green, many wonderful walks in the stunning surrounding countryside and places to visit.
WELCOME to this precious and beloved family home. I have lived here for over 35 years and put much creative love and thought into its development. Each piece of its contents, reflects a treasure, big or small, found or made by me. Please enjoy all it has to offer while respecting the personal value of the house, garden and all that is within the space.

The cottage is a Victorian turn of the century extended, semi-detached labourers country cottage, adjacent to St Mary’s, a beautiful old Norman church, offering a charming motif, framed by all the east facing windows. It is gently perched on the bank of a country lane, central to the village but away from the road.

When I brought it, the cottage was derelict and over the many decades I have lived here, much painstaking care has been put into fulfilling its potential, whilst not spoiling its original humble charm. As an old house it has many little idiosyncrasies, which require its inhabitant’s respect. It is a place of simple beauty, for peaceful retreat.

We hope you love and enjoy it as much as we do and leave with happy memories and a wish to return.

There is a large conservatory adjoining the kitchen, where a lot of life happens with a vast luxurious sofa filling the end of the space and period pine furniture. A beautiful garden wraps itself around the property, and French doors lead out onto a terrace with table and chairs.

Off the spacious fully equipped country kitchen, is a small utility room with fridge and washing machine, leading to a little downstairs loo.

There is a cosy snug on the ground floor with a fireplace, very old piano and many books to be carefully enjoyed.

The sunny front sitting room, with its period fireplace, has double aspect views to the garden with French-doors leading to another lawn and terrace with pergola, swing seats and a large garden table and chairs for outdoor dining.

On the first floor there is a double aspect bedroom to the front with rural views, a large period bathroom and another double bedroom to the back. All rooms in the house have charming views of the garden and the village church.

A further staircase leads to the top double bedroom with outstanding views over the village, church, and graveyard.

Additional tables, chairs and benches are dotted around the garden to offer special viewpoints with sun or shade depending on the time of day.

There are two parking spaces either side of the steps up to the cottage. You may find additional parking around the village green which is a short walk away.

The Old Coal Shed (Office 1) and the Summer House (Office 2). Both convert to double bedrooms and can be seen in the photos provided as both office and Summer House and then prepared as a bedrooms.

The Butler's Quarters is an en-suite room attached to our home with private separate entrance. There is a large freestanding bathtub to soak in after a days walking. There isn't a kitchen, but many fabulous pubs a short walk across the fields and a microwave and kettle should you require it.

If 3 people are staying there is an extra £50 charge per night. If two people want to stay and use both the bed and sofa bed there is a surcharge of £30 for the stay per week. The guest must notify the host in advance of requiring use of the sofa bed in addition to the double bed otherwise no bedding will be provided for sofa bed.

The aircon must be switched off when you leave otherwise there is a surcharge of £100.

Beautiful, self catering contemporary oak framed 5 large bed (all ensuite) house in area of outstanding natural beauty near Chiddingfold. We arrived from South Africa tired, and moved into this quirky, but very contemporary open-plan space. Everything was white and clean, with all mod cons. There is a large main bedroom with ensuite bathroom with Victorian rolltop bath, and a double with ensuite dressing room and luxurious limestone wetroom, with oak French doors to the terrace, overlooking the garden. The living space of a white contemporary kitchen and sitting room/dining room are open plan on two levels, with wide oak French doors to terrace or wonderful outdoor summer living. Well situated for trips in to London (40 minutes from Haslemere Mainline Train Station to Waterloo) or down to the South coast, 35 Minutes to West Wittering. Many attractions within 1/2 hour including children's farms, theme parks, Goodwood, Cowdray Polo. The property is located between Haslemere and Chiddingfold in the Surrey Hills, it extends to the tripoint with Hampshire and West Sussex and it is the most southerly town in Surrey.
