Within easy walking distance are the Cowdray ruins, one of England’s most important Tudor homes, visited once by Queen Elizabeth I and King Henry VIII. If you’re a fan of polo, Midhurst is a prime spot to be in the spring season as well.

This large apartment now features two spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom is a double bedroom with a large wardrobe, providing ample storage space. The second bedroom is furnished with a luxurious king-size bed with views overlooking the bustling city centre below. On the ground floor, there is a large living room with a dining area that overlooks the rear garden. The furnishings gives the house a real sense of character and combines this with modern facilities, including satellite TV, a DVD player, Wi-Fi internet access and an iPod music station. There is also an open fireplace which is great on those chilly winter evenings.

The dining area is great for a family meal or for a more formal dinner party for friends. Doors open out directly to the small rear garden, which is a perfect spot for a drink in the evening sunshine or to fire up a barbeque on hot days. There is a ground floor WC. The kitchen is at the front of the house and is well equipped, including a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer, microwave, oven and 5-ring hob.
There is also a small breakfast table in the kitchen.

On the first floor there is a large double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a further double bedroom and a single bedroom. There is also a family bathroom which has a bath with a shower mixer tap. On the second floor is another spacious double bedroom.

To the front of the house there is a driveway providing off road parking for at least two cars. A short walk from the house is popular park with a playing field, children's playground and a skate park. Just beyond this park is a heath which has some lovely walks into the countryside. Midhurst town centre is within a 10 minute walk of the house and has a great selection of local amenities.

We found the house easily from the directions provided and the house had adequate parking for our two cars. From the outside you would never guess the house was so spacious on the inside. The key safe was not at eye level as stated in the instructions. Had a little trouble reaching it and being able to see the numbers. The house was very comfortable with good quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Plenty of books, on all subjects, and games provided. Kitchen is well furnished although lacking in a few basic items, such as a tea pot, toast rack and scissors and more teaspoons would be welcome. The small rear garden is very pleasant with mature plants, trees and shrubs. Very pleasant neighbours. The house had been cleaned before we arrived, but a very dirty towel had been left on the coat hook behind one of the bedroom doors. We realise it is the time of year for spiders to come into homes, but would suggest a cob web brush is used by the cleaners as we found hanging webs especially in the bedrooms. The extractor fan in the family bathroom needs attention as it was not working properly. The single bedroom, although very comfortable, only contains a bed and a chair. Not even space for a bed side table. In our opinion only suitable for a child. Although the house sleeps seven would be a little crowded in the seating area of the lounge if seven Adults were in there at the same time. Although four of us using the 2 bathrooms in the mornings was not a problem, may be if seven Adults stayed. Would welcome a visitor's book. The property was good value for money and we would not hesitate to visit the property again if we were to stay in the Midhurst area. Midhurst is a very pretty Town with plenty of eating places, pubs and individual shops. Enjoyed a meal and cocktails at The Olive and Vine and also a live musical evening at the Tapas Bar, both in North Street. Lots of places in the area to visit. Would recommend the Angel Inn at Petworth for Lunch."

The house has parking, a real must in the town centre and is comfortably furnished to accommodate sleeping up to five guests or a family.

The good sized living area has an outlook to the front with a comfortable sofa, television and an electric fire, the prefect place to snuggle in the evening after trying one of the fabulous restaurants in the town.

The dining area has a table to sleep four people and a comfy seating area consisting of two sofas looking out onto the pretty walled rear garden. The dining area leads directly to the kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you could need to effectively self-cater during your stay. This includes a dishwasher, kettle, cooker, fridge freezer and all the utensils pots and pans you will need. There is a utility room at the end of the kitchen with a downstairs cloakroom.

This charming first floor apartment is located in a Georgian listed building on Midhurst High Street. The serene bedroom promises restful nights and features a plush king-size bed and triple built-in wardrobes with a full-length mirror. The spacious living room retains the Georgian-style mouldings and cornices, a high ceiling, and bay window. The stone fireplace now holds an inviting electric fire. There are two comfortable sofas, a smart TV, and a small dining table that opens to seat four comfortably. Despite being on the high street, double glazed windows keep the rooms quiet and the first floor location retains privacy. The bathroom has been completely remodelled in a sympathetic but modern style. The apartment has just been fully redecorated with all new flooring, window coverings, kitchen cabinets, bathroom fittings, and paint.

The central location in the South Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty make this a perfect place to visit the beautiful gardens, country houses, and rambles of West Sussex. For the more adventurous, polo at Cowdray and racing at Goodwood are a few minutes away. The apartment is also well suited for the business visitor and offers a small desk and 5-G Wi-Fi.

Ancient meets modern in the heart of the South Downs. West Street Loft occupies the top two floors of a converted Grade II listed C16th building in the centre of historic Midhurst. Perfectly located for polo at Cowdray, events at Goodwood, West Dean, weddings in Midhurst and the surrounding area.
The space
West Street Loft has been lovingly restored over two years. Ancient beams and wonky walls only add to the charm while you relax in the spacious living and dining area.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, oven and gas hob. Dualit toaster and kettle, Nespresso machine and Aeroccino Milk Frother. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and basin. There is also a freestanding double ended bath in the upstairs bedroom. All these have underfloor heating.

Located above my shop Stuff & Co many of the furnishings are available to buy in the shop or one offs from the loft. We have tried to think of everything from handmade soap (made in the shop) to comfy Super Kingsize bed, luxury Hungarian goose down duvets and pillows to pure linen bedding.

Although there is one bedroom it is possible to make up the sofa bed as either a double (kingsize) or 2 singles, however please be aware that the loft is fairly open plan, and although the beds are on different floors there is no door on the bedroom, and this living arrangement would probably only suit very good friends or those with children (over 12 only please). If more than 2 guests please let me know how you would like the spare bed to be made up.

Cowdray Ruins is a popular historical spot in the town and is well worth exploring with glorious walks all around.

Town: A market town nestled in the the South Downs National Park. Mildhurst is brimming with history, landmarks, Tudor houses and 94 listed buildings. Henry VII helped build the Cowdray House and Gardens set on the banks of the River Rother, the ruins can be seen today. Mildhurst is home to the De Bohun Castle which needs to be seen. The castle comes just off of the town centre, a great place for shopping, eating and drinking with its range of amenities. Within a short drive comes Petersfield, it also offers a selection of shops and restaurants as well as a golf course. If you fancy a day by the beach, take the drive town to the coast where the delightful locations of Worthing and Brighton are accessible and most certainly worth visiting.

Moonlight cottage is a beautifully restored cottage in the South Downs National Park with all the charm you would expect mixed will all the modern conveniences you could want.

Entering the house there is a well equipped kitchen with kettle, tea pots, cafetiere, dishwasher, double electric oven and 5 ring gas hob, large fridge, freezer, microwave and toaster. The hosts have also provided a washing machine, tumble drier, iron and ironing board for guests to use. For guests with young children there is a cot and a high chair. The dining area is set up 'cafe' style and has plenty of seating for all guests, there is also a bar area. The cosy sitting room is beautifully furnished and there is a large smart TV.
