The property is set in a very pretty courtyard, tucked away off the street, in quite stunning surrounds. It has been finished to a very high standard with quality fittings in the kitchen and bathroom and provides an extremely comfortable abode for either short or longer breaks. The rooms are light and spacious and the apartment will accommodate four people comfortably.

There is a very well appointed en-suite bathroom off the main bedroom and also a separate shower room. The sitting room has an attractive fireplace which is the focal point of the room and there is a television with DVD player. Outside there is allocated parking for 1 car. The communal gardens are absolutely beautiful and enjoy far reaching views to Cowdray Ruins - a stunning backdrop.

All the shops in Midhurst are within walking distance and The Angel Restaurant/Hotel, which lies in front of this property, offers good food. Mountain bikes are available for hire locally. Amberfold is a great base for Goodwood (7 miles), Cowdray polo (3 miles) and local attractions such as Cowdray Park ruins, Petworth House, the Weald and Downland museum, Chichester and the Coast.

4 Chartwell Mews is a beautifully presented family holiday home in the attractive town of Midhurst, West Sussex. Set in the South Downs National Park, the location is ideal as a base to explore the local countryside and attractions, making it a great place for families or for friends to share.

On the ground floor, there is a large living room with a dining area that overlooks the rear garden. The furnishings gives the house a real sense of character and combines this with modern facilities, including satellite TV, a DVD player, Wi-Fi internet access and an iPod music station. There is also an open fireplace which is great on those chilly winter evenings.

The dining area is great for a family meal or for a more formal dinner party for friends. Doors open out directly to the small rear garden, which is a perfect spot for a drink in the evening sunshine or to fire up a barbeque on hot days. There is a ground floor WC. The kitchen is at the front of the house and is well equipped, including a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer, microwave, oven and 5-ring hob.
There is also a small breakfast table in the kitchen.

On the first floor there is a large double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a further double bedroom and a single bedroom. There is also a family bathroom which has a bath with a shower mixer tap. On the second floor is another spacious double bedroom.

To the front of the house there is a driveway providing off road parking for at least two cars. A short walk from the house is popular park with a playing field, children's playground and a skate park. Just beyond this park is a heath which has some lovely walks into the countryside. Midhurst town centre is within a 10 minute walk of the house and has a great selection of local amenities.

We found the house easily from the directions provided and the house had adequate parking for our two cars. From the outside you would never guess the house was so spacious on the inside. The key safe was not at eye level as stated in the instructions. Had a little trouble reaching it and being able to see the numbers. The house was very comfortable with good quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Plenty of books, on all subjects, and games provided. Kitchen is well furnished although lacking in a few basic items, such as a tea pot, toast rack and scissors and more teaspoons would be welcome. The small rear garden is very pleasant with mature plants, trees and shrubs. Very pleasant neighbours. The house had been cleaned before we arrived, but a very dirty towel had been left on the coat hook behind one of the bedroom doors. We realise it is the time of year for spiders to come into homes, but would suggest a cob web brush is used by the cleaners as we found hanging webs especially in the bedrooms. The extractor fan in the family bathroom needs attention as it was not working properly. The single bedroom, although very comfortable, only contains a bed and a chair. Not even space for a bed side table. In our opinion only suitable for a child. Although the house sleeps seven would be a little crowded in the seating area of the lounge if seven Adults were in there at the same time. Although four of us using the 2 bathrooms in the mornings was not a problem, may be if seven Adults stayed. Would welcome a visitor's book. The property was good value for money and we would not hesitate to visit the property again if we were to stay in the Midhurst area. Midhurst is a very pretty Town with plenty of eating places, pubs and individual shops. Enjoyed a meal and cocktails at The Olive and Vine and also a live musical evening at the Tapas Bar, both in North Street. Lots of places in the area to visit. Would recommend the Angel Inn at Petworth for Lunch."

Leaview is a three bedroom town house which is in the centre of Midhurst.

The house has parking, a real must in the town centre and is comfortably furnished to accommodate sleeping up to five guests or a family.

The good sized living area has an outlook to the front with a comfortable sofa, television and an electric fire, the prefect place to snuggle in the evening after trying one of the fabulous restaurants in the town.

The dining area has a table to sleep four people and a comfy seating area consisting of two sofas looking out onto the pretty walled rear garden. The dining area leads directly to the kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you could need to effectively self-cater during your stay. This includes a dishwasher, kettle, cooker, fridge freezer and all the utensils pots and pans you will need. There is a utility room at the end of the kitchen with a downstairs cloakroom.

Leaview has three bedrooms, consisting of a master double bedroom overlooking the garden with double wardrobes, a second bedroom with twin beds and a smaller third bedroom with a single bed. There is a good sized family bathroom with a separate bath and shower cubicle and a storage cupboard on the top of the landing. To sleep six people this will be with use of the sofa bed in the living room or single trundle bed.

Leaview is in the centre of the vibrant town of Midhurst in West Sussex. Midhurst is a wonderful place to visit with a mix of fantastic shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Beautiful homely loft style apartment with a wealth of original exposed brick work in the living room & fully fitted kitchen with a Range cooker, & living room with an open fire. 2 bedrooms one double one super king bed size with a sofa bed in the living room, sleeps 6 maximum.

The apartment was bought as a near derelict squat & has been lovingly restored to a beautiful loft style apartment. It has a very up cycled shabby chic feel a lot of the furniture has been restored & hand painted by myself.

Downstairs The Tack Room leads into a fully fitted Kitchen/Dining Room featuring an ornate 19th Century bench from Cowdray House secured at auction by Christie’s. In addition to all the usual amenities, 79 spot lights and a Philips lighting system provides atmosphere and up to 16 million colour effects.

A private walled garden with seating/dining area and a BBQ makes a tranquil setting in which to take time out. There is private off-street parking for 3-4 medium sized cars and CCTV and a sophisticated alarm system to provide security.

Ancient meets modern in the heart of the South Downs. West Street Loft occupies the top two floors of a converted Grade II listed C16th building in the centre of historic Midhurst. Perfectly located for polo at Cowdray, events at Goodwood, West Dean, weddings in Midhurst and the surrounding area.
The space
West Street Loft has been lovingly restored over two years. Ancient beams and wonky walls only add to the charm while you relax in the spacious living and dining area.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, oven and gas hob. Dualit toaster and kettle, Nespresso machine and Aeroccino Milk Frother. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and basin. There is also a freestanding double ended bath in the upstairs bedroom. All these have underfloor heating.

Located above my shop Stuff & Co many of the furnishings are available to buy in the shop or one offs from the loft. We have tried to think of everything from handmade soap (made in the shop) to comfy Super Kingsize bed, luxury Hungarian goose down duvets and pillows to pure linen bedding.

Although there is one bedroom it is possible to make up the sofa bed as either a double (kingsize) or 2 singles, however please be aware that the loft is fairly open plan, and although the beds are on different floors there is no door on the bedroom, and this living arrangement would probably only suit very good friends or those with children (over 12 only please). If more than 2 guests please let me know how you would like the spare bed to be made up.

The Old Forge is a recently renovated former blacksmith's forge. It has been thoughtfully and tastefully restored and now provides a spacious, warm and comfortable space.
The Old Forge offers garden views, with a bright and airy feel to an an ancient building.
It has it's own entrance.

The space
The Old Forge provides guests with a unique experience, resting, and sleeping in a tastefully restored listed building. Whilst it is in the centre of Midhurst, it is very secluded and peaceful.
Guests have sole use of the Old Forge.
For stays during cold periods, the Old Forge has a wood burning stove, (logs provided) in the open plan room. There is a small kitchenette with butlers sink, kettle, toaster, combination/ microwave oven with grill, fridge and dishwasher.
Guests have full access to the Old Forge and can come and go as they please.
A small breakfast basket of delicious and homemade treats is provided for our guests first breakfast. There are several excellent cafes within a two minute walk which provide an excellent breakfast.
The top of the range double sofa bed has been recently upgraded to provide extra width and comfort.

Stay in the centre of Midhurst in this unique Victorian house built in 1890. Within a five minute stroll of the shops and cafes yet also to wonderful walks within 10 minutes in the South Downs National Park. Enjoy the evening sunset on the patio or hang out in the wildlife garden. The bedroom has a kettle and guests can use the kitchen. There's no official breakfast but there are oven bake frozen croissants, fresh coffee beans with grinder and cafetière to help yourself to.

The space
The house is next door to No 35 Ashfield Road and next door but one to the Petersfield Road A272. Parking is available on the road if you see a space or alongside/in my drive if I'm out. The room is accessed via a staircase and is on the right hand side at the top of the stairs. The bathroom is opposite. The kitchen is downstairs and turn right. There is a courtyard outside the kitchen door.

This large apartment now features two spacious bedrooms. The first bedroom is a double bedroom with a large wardrobe, providing ample storage space. The second bedroom is furnished with a luxurious king-size bed with views overlooking the bustling city centre below. With a large, comfortable living space, this is an excellent base to come home to in the evenings after a day of exploring. The high ceilings and walls make both rooms light and airy, creating a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the streets below.

The kitchen is on a slightly higher level and is fully equipped with everything you will need to self-cater during your stay (although there are plentiful pubs, restaurants, and cafes around). The kitchen includes a kettle, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave, fridge, and freezer. There is also a dining table with seating for four, so there is plenty of space for just yourself or to entertain friends while you are away.

The apartment has a shower room and separate WC. Additionally, the property now has newly installed WiFi for guests to use. One parking space is allocated to this property.

In recent years Midhurst was voted the most desirable place to live in the whole of the UK - some accolade! It is a quintessential English town, with period properties from a variety of eras lining the main streets and a collection of eclectic shops and restaurants making it even more appealing. Much of the town is still owned by the famous Cowdray Estate which hosts the polo season, attracting visitors from all over the world. The famous Cowdray Ruins lie on the northern outskirts of the town and there is a superb farm shop and coffee shop to enjoy. The South Downs surround the town and for keen walkers there are so many beautiful places to explore.

The old market town of Petworth lies just to the east, with Petworth House being an interesting place to visit, along with Petworth Park. Goodwood lies just a few miles to the south and attracts visitors from all over the world to its famous motor sports events and horse racing events. Chichester lies about 11 miles south of Midhurst and has a world famous cathedral, which dominates the city. It also has the renowned Chichester Festival Theatre. Birch End is a delightful holiday house set in a quiet residential area of Midhurst in West Sussex.
It offers a great base from which to enjoy a relaxing break and explore all the region has to house is set on a hill with steps leading up to the front door.
The ground floor has a cosy sitting room at the front, with a TV, DVD player, stereo and Wi-Fi internet access.
This leads through to a kitchen and dining room and a small conservatory overlooking the rear garden.

The kitchen has a gas oven and hob, a microwave, fridge with freezer box and all the cookware guests will require to be able to comfortably self-cater.

The first floor has 2 bedrooms and a modern family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The front bedroom is a double room with plenty of storage space.

The Barn studio is situated about 50 metres from the main house , giving a high degree of privacy . At the end of a private lane , containing a small number of cottages , backing onto Midhurst Common for acres of wonderful walks. There is no private outside space, but a table and chairs is on our lower lawn for your use.

The room is my artist studio and is accessed from a study area. Your private bathroom, is accessed from the utility room. I keep the door from my conservatory shut to these rooms while you stay. You have your own outside door for you to come and go as you please. If you want to you are welcome through this door to use the conservatory and kitchen.
These rooms are part of my family house and I use them when I don,t have a guest stay. Although the bedroom and bathroom will be clear and clean, normall family stuff is left neat and tidy.

The house is a small little cottage nothing fancy. Just a nice place to stay the night.

The space
Pond View is a self-contained first floor apartment comprising of a sitting room/double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and my therapy room on the second floor.

You do not need to have a treatment during your stay but if you wish to indulge, I offer a full range of authentic organic Ayurvedic treatments, tailored specifically to you including rejuvenating massages and detoxifying therapies. After a consultation, I will guide on you a journey to balance and wellbeing. We only need to make a small investment in ourselves to make a big difference. As mentioned above, my private therapy room is located on the second floor, so you do not even need to leave the property after a treatment - just pop downstairs to your accommodation afterwards to shower and relax. My aim is to ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable and I am always happy to provide guidance on Ayurvedic practices, local information and anything else you may need during your stay.

With a private entrance and stairs leading up to a spacious open plan sitting room and sleeping area, bathed in daylight via the double aspect Victorian sash windows, voile curtains and blinds aid privacy and peaceful sleep. There is a large, comfortable sofa with numerous cushions, fresh flowers, a table and chairs for dining, television with Amazon and Netflix (although you will need your own subscription to access these please) and a quiet corner for reading or relaxation. There is a selection of books, magazines and games, a large full length mirror and a small wardrobe with shelves, with space for storing suitcases or anything else you may wish to tidy away. Here you will find an iron and ironing board, hairdryer and two dressing gowns.

The double bed has an organic wool mattress, wool mattress protector, an organic wool duvet and organic cotton and linen sheets. Wool is natural, renewable and biodegradable, making it the eco-friendly choice with no harm to the environment. Both mattress and bed linen are globally certified 100% organic and free from harmful chemicals.

The bathroom is fitted with a toilet, large shower with luxe shower head, heated towel rail, towels and complimentary organic toiletries.

To the rear of the apartment, is a spacious fitted kitchen with oven, hob, extractor fan, small fridge, washing machine/tumble dryer, kettle, toaster, plenty of cupboard space, crockery and utensils. There are views to South Pond and a Velux window in the roof for star gazers. You will find some cereal, yoghurt, eggs and milk in the fridge for breakfast.

If you are bringing a dog, I have a very comfy dog bed with blanket and two bowls for your use.

To the front of Pond View there is a small garden with a seating area, planted with lavenders and grasses which overlooks the road and the countryside beyond.

There is usually plenty of parking on the road in front of the property or on the road opposite. If you are coming by train, there are stations at Haslemere, Petersfield and Chichester.

Pond View is a beautiful space, providing easy living in a country town community with Cowdray Park, Petworth and Goodwood easily accessible in the glorious South Downs National Park.

Midhurst is a lovely old market town, steeped in history with an abundance of shops, cafes, stunning Tudor buildings and a fabulous mix of Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture. There is a farmer's market in the Medieval Market Square the first Saturday of the month from 10am - 4pm. Cowdray Ruins, Cowdray Farm Shop with its fabulous café, Cowdray Golf and, of course, the world famous polo, are all within walking distance.

You can also go mountain biking or strolling on the South Downs way, (local bike hire is available) or explore the beautiful National Trust gardens nearby. Goodwood Racing and Motor Circuit, the cathedral city of Chichester and the lovely beaches at West Wittering are just some of the places to visit in this beautiful area.

Leaview is a three bedroom town house which is in the centre of Midhurst.

The space
The house has parking, a real must in the town centre and is comfortably furnished to accommodate sleeping up to five guests or a family.

The good sized living area has an outlook to the front with a comfortable sofa, television and an electric fire, the prefect place to snuggle in the evening after trying one of the fabulous restaurants in the town.

The dining area has a table to sleep four people and a comfy seating area consisting of two sofas looking out onto the pretty walled rear garden. The dining area leads directly to the kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you could need to effectively self-cater during your stay. This includes a dishwasher, kettle, cooker, fridge freezer and all the utensils pots and pans you will need. There is a utility room at the end of the kitchen with a downstairs cloakroom.

Leaview has three bedrooms, consisting of a master double bedroom overlooking the garden with double wardrobes, a second bedroom with twin beds and a smaller third bedroom with a single bed. There is a good sized family bathroom with a separate bath and shower cubicle and a storage cupboard on the top of the landing. To sleep six people this will be with use of the sofa bed in the living room or single trundle bed.

Leaview includes two allocated parking spaces.

Leaview is in the centre of the vibrant town of Midhurst in West Sussex. Midhurst is a wonderful place to visit with a mix of fantastic shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. The famous Cowdray Ruins a short walk away, from here you can walk through the countryside to the locally renowned Cowdray Farm Shop, restaurant and cafe.

Just a short drive to the south you will find The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, home to the BBC Repair Shop. This is just beside the world famous Goodwood racecourse and Motorsport venue, host to The Goodwood Revival and The Festival of Speed.

The old market town of Petworth lies just to the east, with Petworth House being an interesting place to visit, along with Petworth Park. Chichester lies about 11 miles south of Midhurst and has a magnificent 900 year old cathedral which dominates the city. It also has the renowned Chichester Festival Theatre. Roost in Heyshott is a self-contained 1 bedroom property set alongside a historic timber framed cottage (our family home) dating back to 1583.

Roost offers a cosy and luxurious feel where interiors reflect the outdoor countryside and a bright, spacious bedroom and living area provides guests with a home away from home feel.

Secure and covered parking (2 spaces) is offered and ideal for those attending the prestigious motorsport events at nearby Goodwood.

Access is by pin code using a key lock box. Each guest will be provided with a personal pincode unique for the duration of your stay.

Once inside, an entrance area provides space to sit and kick off walking boots or wellies. Beside this is a fully equipped kitchenette area offering the opportunity to prepare or warm up a simple meal and sit to enjoy your morning coffee with an uninterrupted Downland view (you may even spot our resident pheasants as they wander by!)

A kitchenette offers an induction hob, fridge, freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, and relevant utensils. Use of a washing machine is available on request for longer stays. The property is serviced by super fast WIFI coverage.

In the warmer months, guests will have garden access for alfresco dining where you’ll hear the occasional “neigh’ from our 4 legged neighbours in the adjoining paddock.

Located upstairs you’ll find a bright and spacious bedroom with a King size bed, luxury memory foam mattress and cotton bed linen and towels. The bedroom boats incredible views onto the South Downs and paddock. Surely opening the windows to native birdsong or spotting deer or pheasants is the most relaxing start to any day!

Bike Storage - We are on a very popular cycle route just off the South Downs Way. We will happily store bikes safely overnight should you wish to bring your own. Bike hire, including e-bikes hire, is available locally in Midhurst.

This charming Georgian terraced house is located in the centre of Midhurst's Old Town in rural Sussex - a two minute walk to the shops, restaurants and cafes.
It is ideally placed to explore the South Downs National Park by foot, bike or car and to enjoy sporting and local events at Cowdray and Goodwood. The sitting room is setup to allow you to relax after a full day. There is a comfy sofa which can also be used as a double sofa bed if needed.

Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please be aware fences are relatively low with our neighbours, so a very lively dog may need to be kept on the lead in the patio/ garden area. There is easy access to lovely walks close by.

Please note this property is strictly adult only. The Old Courthouse is an art lovers retreat with beautiful pieces adorning the walls. From the moment you step into the apartment there is a treat for the eyes on every wall or corner. Make sure to browse the work and please do ask any questions you may have while you are there!

Peaceful, located in the centre of Midhurst within walking distance to all amenities and polo at Cowdray, this charming cottage has been lovingly restored over the past 3 months.

Please note the cottage was built in the 15th century and is grade II listed so it does have it's quirks. Whilst I have lovingly restored it, I have not been able to alter the layout or structure, for example the staircase is narrower and steeper than a modern staircase.

Located just metres from the high street in beautiful, historic Midhurst, our home is a delightful oasis of peace and quiet and fantastically located not just for the town centre, its "olde world" pubs and its independent shops, but also for the some of the most scenic countryside in England.

Set between the North and South Downs, we are just a short walk from the Cowdray ruins and polo fields and a 15 minute drive from Goodwood.

The space
Ours is one of three homes in the old Coach House block (we're No. 1, immediately on the left as you look at it from June Lane).

It's a lovely two-bedroom ground and first-floor home with an L-shaped open-plan living space and kitchen on the ground floor.

Upstairs are two large double bedrooms and a bathroom including bath and shower. There is another toilet downstairs.

Aside from our integrated single carport (to the left of our front door, which you can use), the only other outside space is a small patio at the rear.

The name Midhurst was first recorded in 1186 as Middeherst, meaning "Middle wooded hill", or "(place) among the wooded hills". It derives from the Old English words midd (adjective) or mid (preposition), meaning "in the middle", plus hyrst, "a wooded hill". The Norman St. Ann's Castle dates from about 1120, although the foundations are all that can now be seen (four minutes walk from The Coach House!)

According to The Midhurst Society "It was common in those days for settlements to develop close to such fortifications. The presence of a castle provided opportunities for local traders – and protection in times of trouble. Gates provided access from the north (Knockundred Row); the northwest (Duck Lane/June Lane); southwest (West Street/Duck Lane), and south (South Pond)."

Other things to note
Midhurst is set amongst some of the most scenic countryside in England. It lies between North and South Downs, just a short walk away from the Cowdray ruins and the Cowdray polo fields. The South Downs way passes just a few miles south of us, offering spectacular views among rolling hills and forests. Goodwood is just 15 a minute drive away. (See Cowdray and Goodwood fixtures listing below.)

The beautiful old fishing village of Bosham is less than half an hour away. Petworth, the centre of antiques in West Sussex, with the extraordinary Petworth House and Park is 15 minutes in the car.

Midhurst and its rural surrounds are steeped in ancient history. Come and enjoy as you explore and get lost in the woods and along the river. And if that's not enough to keep you occupied there are several of the best English vineyards within a just a few miles of us. And to crown it all, we have at least half a dozen of the most magnificent 15th and 16th century pubs serving some of the best food outside of London.

The Gatehouse is a grand former Georgian hotel converted into individual apartment, with long standing permanent residents, it is located in a quiet residential area, if you're coming to Midhurst to party this isn't the place for you, but it is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the local area and be close to some of the most beautiful, historic and exciting areas in West Sussex and the South Downs. The flat is literally a minute’s walk to West Street and a few minutes’ walk right into Midhurst High Street or Cowdray Park.

The apartment features a Large Sitting room with dining area, a modern, fully fitted kitchen. A generous bedroom and an en-suite bathroom.

Enjoy staying in our lovely 4-bed family home in Midhurst, tucked away in a quiet close in the heart of the South Downs.

This is a lived-in home, full of our things – and we’re totally comfortable sharing it. Please don’t feel you’re intruding – we want you to feel at home.

Midhurst has shops, cafes, pubs, and even a castle or two. It’s the perfect base for exploring the South Downs, with woods and Cowdray estate nearby. Goodwood is close, Brighton is just an hour away and the sea is nearby.

The space
Our 4-bed townhouse spans three floors. On the first floor, you'll find the main bedroom with an ensuite and the living room. The second floor features three bedrooms and a main bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle. The ground floor includes a kitchen and dining area, with an extendable table that seats eight, extra seats available. Additionally, there's a utility room equipped with an extra sink, storage, washing machine, and dryer.

There is a courtyard at the rear of the property containing plenty of seating. There is also a fire pit and a pizza oven which you are free to use. Materials provided. There is also a removable washing line.

There is also a small balcony leading from the living room.

You have access to the entire house. However the loft and garage will be off limits. This is our family home, so we expect it to be treated as such.

chic yet cosy, very large deck area looking over garden and the fields beyond. We are one of the few houses in Midhurst with off street private parking with enough space for 4 cars.
It is an Old grade 2 listed wooden beamed house with modern utilities. Wood burning stove in winter is very warming. Aesthetically beautiful with buddhas, paintings, antiques and a large HD TV with SKY Q and Wifi, a fusion of old and new. This house has a deeply peaceful atmosphere with an open plan downstairs, high ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms, all with a great feeling of Light and space.

The house is situated in the heart of midhurst and yet set way back with a sea gravel courtyard ,The house is quiet and peaceful with large deck and gardens. Easy access to town where Midhurst is filled with copious amounts of restaurants, pubs, cafes and Cowdray Castle ruins a five minute walk away, St. Annes Hill (a Norman Castle hill fort ruin), the river and fine country walks, Cowdray golf club, clay pigeon shooting and fly fishing is only a five minute drive away. The area is filled with historic attractions including Petworth House (where Turner the painter lived), Weald and Downland (an outstanding museum), The West Dean gardens and many Gastro pubs in charming villages nestled in the South Downs National park all within a 10 minute drive.

Other things to note
The house has a very large deck with a truly lovely view, guests are welcome to sit outside with a cup of tea, or an early evening drink. The Indian Ocean teak table on the deck seats 8 people.

No 2 Market Square is a Grade 11 listed C15th house in the centre of historic Midhurst. Nearby there is Cowdray Park for walking or watching polo and Goodwood for either horse racing or motor racing or visit the South Downs for stunning walks or cycle rides.

Our home is found in Midhurst, West Sussex - 'the heart of the South Downs'. The property is entirely yours to use during your stay, but when it's not rented out it’s our day-to-day home, and our little cat Lilo will be around to keep you company.

Midhurst's old town is home to a number of charming pubs, independent restaurants & coffee shops. Goodwood Racecourse, Petworth and Petersfield are a short drive away and we're in walking distance of the famous Cowdray Polo grounds and ruins.

The space
Our two bedroom home is situated within walking distance of Midhurst town centre and a number of beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside with plenty of characterful country pubs along the way. Cowdray farm shop, ruins and polo grounds are a short walk away.

Midhurst is home to a Sainsbury's local and Tesco Express and a short drive away the nearby market towns of Petworth, Petersfield and Chichester offer access to larger supermarkets and shops. Goodwood racecourse - home to the renowned Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival - is also a short 15 minute drive away on the way to Chichester.

Since moving out of London in 2022, we have enjoyed adding character and charm to our home and there always seems to be another DIY project on the go! The living space downstairs is home to an open plan living / space, a modern kitchen, boot room and loo. Upstairs you will find two good size double bedrooms, a study and family bathroom. The living room leads out onto the patio, with a garden that is best enjoyed in summer months with an outdoor dining table.

Whether you're visiting to enjoy beautiful wooded walks or the views from the South Downs in the warmer months or to cosy up in a country pub with a crackling fire in the winter, we hope you'll enjoy this beautiful part of West Sussex as much as we do.

PETS
We have two very sweet pets that take residence in our home and our calico cat, Lilo, is part of the furniture. Sometimes scarce or sometimes on hand to say hello she'll be in and around the house throughout your stay.

We also have a small miniature daschund who won't be present, but please be aware when booking your stay that this property won't be suitable for anyone that suffers from animal allergies.

Midhurst doesn't have a train station, so you need to drive to closest stations (approx 15 min drive) for approx 50 min access to London on train.

Mowers Mews is a beautiful detached character property in a peaceful and centrally-located area in the historical part of Midhurst town centre. A few minutes walk to its many shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, Cowdray estate and local markets. It has a private covered driveway with parking for 1 car and a garage for motorbikes and bicycles. To the rear of the property is a pretty and private walled courtyard with table, chairs and a bbq. It is close to Cowdray, Goodwood, Petworth and the coast.

The space
There are 3 spacious bedrooms, “Palamino” with its twin beds, bedside cabinets, chair and large wardrobe which is suitable for both adults and children. “Appaloosa” with its king size bed, bedside cabinets, chair and large wardrobe which overlooks the pretty courtyard. And finally “Fresian” with its beautiful superking size bed, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, large wardrobe, built in wardrobe / cupboard and en-suite bathroom. There is also a large family bathroom with a bath. You will also find an airing cupboard and separate hall cupboard with iron, ironing board and washing basket. There are freestanding fans in all the bedrooms. Downstairs there is a third toilet room, entrance lobby and spacious lounge with an electric stove / fire for those colder nights, a large smart tv with a Mowers Mews Netflix account for your use, a DVD player and selection of DVD’s, a portable smart speaker and a selection of games etc for the whole family as well as a set of authentic African drums if you want to have some fun having a drumming session together! There is then a well appointed kitchen and dining area with a fridge, double oven and hob, microwave, nespresso machine, washing machine and dishwasher, food processor, picnic basket and everything else you need to make your stay effortless. In the garage next to the kitchen there is a freezer, tumble dryer and vacuum cleaner as well as a couple of spare chairs for the dining table. Outside the kitchen you will find a quaint walled courtyard with a patio set, BBQ, hanging baskets a flower bed and lots of pot plants and accessories to enjoy. At the front of the house there is a covered driveway for a car, suv or smaller 4x4. Duck lane is a quiet street with vehicle access only for residents or deliveries so traffic is minimal but you will quite often find people taking photos of the pretty street and its cottages. Opposite the house there is a gravel parking area which is private, it is also where you will find the wheels bins to put your rubbish sacks into, ours have a label on them that says “Mowers Mews”. Although the house is set up for 6 people, we do have a couple of fold out beds that we can organise if you have an extra guest that you want to stay for a couple of nights. You are in walking distance to both a Sainsburys and Tesco Express as well as two Chinese restaurants, an Indian restaurant and there is a lovely Italian restaurant at the end of duck lane. There are numerous cafes, a lovely Deli / cafe called Comestibles nearby that has the best coffee and wonderful food. The Grange leisure centre is a five minute walk away and also contains the library. There are a number of pubs, chemists, brocante shops and all the amenities you could need within a walking distance. It is centrally located for many of the local venues and festivals like Goodwood with it’s horse racing, motor racing, airfield and golf course, Cowdray, its polo events, golf course, foraging courses, polo school, shooting school, and shops as well as its lovely estate for walking on. The South Downs way’s walks, bridle paths and cycling. Within 30 minute’s drive from Chichester’s beautiful coastline, harbours and sailing, the golden sands of the Witterings and East Head. The West Dean estate and gardens, The Weald and Downland museum and many other attractions in the area. We are blessed with a huge array of lovely gastro pubs in stunning locations that there is no need to cook. A holiday here can be as relaxing or as fun packed as you want it to be. The property isn’t suitable for babies or toddlers.

You are welcome to use all of the property, there is a hall cupboard that is locked and the loft area is inaccessible, there is also a garage storage unit in the drive that is locked.

Other things to note
Please don’t park in the gravel area opposite the house as it is a private parking area. When you arrive, please stop outside the house and unload before parking in the driveway. If you have people visiting there are public car parks within walking distance at the Old Post Office and at The Grange leisure centre. You can also park in Duck lane on the yellow lines between 6pm and 8am. On leaving the property please make sure you have put all your rubbish in the wheelie bins outside, empty the BBQ if used, put all dirty dishes etc in the dishwasher, not left anything in the washing machine or tumble dryer, empty the fridge and freezer and close all the windows.
