The TV did exactly what it was supposed to do. We spent two nights here and would do it again. It was very quiet, the staff is excellent and we spent lots of time relaxing outside in the most comfortable Muskoka chairs I've ever been able to sit in. We were able to share a bit of feedback with Seema the night before we left, which was very nice. We would urge the owner to add thermal curtains behind the curtains for better privacy, especially at night. We are NOT on the water. Located minutes from Gravenhurst for shopping & dining - 1 1/2 hrs from Toronto. Clean, private and easy access to one of the most beautiful KID friendly beaches in Muskoka.

Denne's Marina & Boat docking is near by. We have a canoe available at the cottage for your use and life jackets are provided. Kahshe Lake boasts great fishing spots.

Enjoy hours of sunshine on your front deck or relax around the patio deck sipping wine or cool beverages. Night time family memories can be created sharing stories around the open fire pit (1st nights wood on us ).

The living room, dining area and kitchen is open concept. The cottage is air-conditioned and has an enclosed porch with family board games, a card table and beach toys for the kids.

Looking for a peaceful escape to relax, unplug and unwind? Check out our newly renovated Lakeside Loft located on Reay Lake just outside of Gravenhurst in Muskoka. A wonderful place for a quiet romantic retreat for a couple, or a retreat for yourself! (Maximum 2 adults - minimum age 30).

Reay Lake is a lovely, quiet small non-motorized lake. It is perfect for relaxing lakeside without the worry or noise of motor boats and jet skis! Enjoy lakeside views, perennial garden views, nightly sunsets, private swim deck with 2 chaise lounges to relax, and your own fire pit for cozy evenings.
We are less than a two hour drive from the GTA . Gravenhurst is known as the gateway to Muskoka!

The Loft:
Upstairs
In this two level loft suite, upstairs you'll find a large open concept living/sleeping area complete with comfy beds (one queen bed and two twin beds). Bedding is provided. The living room has a sofa and chairs, DVD player & movies, Bluetooth speakers, satellite TV, electric fireplace, and a desk.

Downstairs
On the main level you'll find a new eat in kitchen and a 3 piece bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with a new refrigerator, convection/air fryer/toaster oven, induction cooktop stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, blender, dining table and chairs, and a BBQ outside. (Please note although we offer many cooking options in the kitchen, it does not have a traditional oven).
We have a state of the art water filtration system and the water is fully drinkable right from the tap. Bath towels are provided.
The Muskoka area is prone to power outages, but this property has a generator, which means you won't be left in the dark!!

The Lake & outdoor areas:
This small tranquil Lake is spring fed and offers wonderful swimming and fishing. Paddle or leisurely float around the lake. We have a small deck at waters edge with a couple of lounge chairs to relax. Swimming is off to the side of the deck and we have a floating raft you are welcome to enjoy.
On the way down to the Lake is the fire pit area. There is a small deck with chairs to enjoy a cozy evening by the fire. Firewood and kindling provided.

The Area
We are approximately a10 minute drive to Gravenhurst, 15 mins to Bracebridge, 35 mins to Bala and 45 minutes to Port Carling.

Enjoy all that Muskoka has to offer; swimming, boating , hiking, biking, fishing, nearby golf courses, farmers markets & festivals great dining, shopping, historic sightseeing boat cruises at the Muskoka Wharf, The Gravenhurst Opera House, Santa's Village, ice cream shops, local winery, and local breweries. The only Muskoka Drive-In movie theatre is just a 5 minute drive down the road!

Some important things to note:
While we do offer complimentary WIFI, we are in a rural area and internet and cellular service can be slow and/ or inconsistent. Good time to relax, unplug and enjoy nature!

Owners live in adjacent house on the property - if you forgot/need anything please just ask!

We recently renovated the space above and behind our two car garage to create our cozy Lakeside Loft.

Loft Rental includes use of "party island", swimming noodles and life jackets. There are 2 kayaks also available to use .
This a quiet lake with year round residents & we ask that you please respect our neighbours. If you are looking for a place to have loud parties , this is not your place.

This classic cottage is a great place for a couple's retreat, honeymoon, girls' weekend or a family vacation where memories are made. - "We had a great experience. The host was very nice and accommodating. Only thing for people to remember is bring cutlery and plates and cups." - "We used this location as a landing spot for a golf tournament weekend at Taboo. Everything was easy from a check in process, Amy and Derek were quite communicative and made sure we had easy entry. It was quite odd to go through a security gate to access this cottage. The cottage is located in a marina between it and a restaurant. So if you're looking for a quiet peaceful getaway. Fair warning. on that regard. The cottage is lacking any plates, cups, cooking pans etc. They did ask if we wanted any, but it was unclear as to what it was for. At that point it felt odd asking for it. But again, fair warning if you're going there and looking to have glasses, or standard kitchen materials, you'll have to request or bring your own. There is no smart TV - bring your own HDMI to connect your computer or other media to their TV if you want to watch anything that's not on a personal screen All in all it's a good spot if you're going to be in the area and need a place to sleep."

Beautiful home in Muskoka. Super spacious. 1400 sq feet on 2 levels of house. Massive back yard with everything you need. 3 televisions. Fast internet. Lots of parking. Separate entrance. 5 minutes from 2 beaches. 5 minutes from town. 2 minute walk to Lake muskoka. BBQ. Corn hole game. Very private pool. All linens supplied. Great for quite relaxing time. totally private. this is not shared. you and your guests will have the complete 1400 sq ft suite to yourselves. Enjoy Muskoka. plus enjoy many breakfast items to start your day right. enjoy.

He also communicated frequently with us and provided suggestions about local things to do and see. The only thing we would improve is the mattress in the double bed room because it was lacking support and a bit saggy. Overall, this place was ideal for our stay in Muskoka."

It was a great cottage for going on day trips because it's close to Bala. We mainly used the cottage to sleep, eat and hangout at night because it doesn't have a swimming area. The only thing I would mention is it doesn't have dishes, utensils or any other things needed to cook meals so make sure to bring everything you need for the kitchen. Otherwise, the cottage was awesome and the staff was extremely nice!"

There is a shallow water entry, or you can just jump into the lake right of our private dock where you can also park your own watercraft (public boat access is right across). Enjoy various water activities we have to offer, such as kayaking, canoe, water mat, and plenty of water toys and floaters. We also offer boat cruises and water tubing experiences (extra, please inquire).

Sparrow Lake is also known for great fishing any time of the year, so you don’t need to go far as you can fish right of the shore. For an ultimate fishing experience, at additional charge, we offer fishing equipment, fishing boat and ice fishing hut just steps from the Lakehouse.

Take a break from water activities and play beach volleyball at our private VB court or various games on our grass lawn. There is also a large trampoline for the kids to take their energy off. Our firepit at the shoreline, is sure to keep you warm on chilly nights, or you may even want to BBQ in style using our outdoor wood stove by the front porch. In the winter, enjoy various outdoor activities, such as cross-country skiing or skating on our private rink on the lake (subject to weather).
