- "Was a great trip. Photos of the unit are very accurate. What they don’t show is you are directly across from the lake and walking distance to a few nice restaurants/pub. The unit was well appointed with all you need to cook and meal prep. Went there to hike Gulf Hagas, but found there was a lot more to do. Will be heading back to do that." - "Beautiful place! Love it! - "Beautiful place " - "Great place!" - "Cute cabin, spacious, clean, owners very responsive to messages. Great space! Would definitely book again anytime I’m in the area!" - "Fantastic place right in town and a cross the street from Moosehead Lake. Hosts super friendly. We loved it and would highly recommend. " - "Spacious unit. Walking distance to shops and restaurants." - "I really enjoyed staying at the property. It was clean and organized. The entrance to the building is confusing - honestly, it looks more like a large garage than a barn, but the inside was beautiful! Make sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash; I always use the toiletries provided by hotels I stay in, so I didn't have these on hand. I highly recommend the property. The owners also offer UTV services seasonally; be sure to call and confirm that these are bookable before booking on their website. Unfortunately, my reservation was canceled due to the trails not being ready. I will be back to the property and use the UTV services during my next trip to Maine. "

- "Great location for our trip to Greenville. " - "Beautiful place." - "This place was perfect after our hike to The Hermitage Trail. It is in walking distance to local restaurants and stores. " - "Very comfortable and in downtown Will definitely rent again in the future" - "Had a nice experience with this property. Location super convenient, unit very clean. Management was helpful when we arrived. Property seems recently updated and is located at the back of parking lot of an outdoor outfitter. Outfitter shop has coffee, cappuccino and pastries available in the morning, which was unexpected but very nice. Outfitter also has side-by-side atv rentals available. Our unit was a smaller one, and still large and comfortable. The only note I’d have is that our unit was right above some garage doors that are pretty loud when open/close. Only noticed once during our stay, though. Unit provides kitchen appliances (no dishwasher) and bath has hair dryer, soap and shampoo (note: no conditioner). No laundry in unit, and there is one not quite full length mirror in master closet. Also there is a tabletop ironing board in the master closet, vacuum cleaner in the entry closet. One TV in living room and they use Roku—you can sign into your own account apps like Netflix or Hulu if you want. We had no issues using WiFi and our phone worked fine for cell coverage (ATT). Overall our stay was convenient, clean and comfortable. "

Disclaimer: Rural Cabin Stay – Please Read 🌲
By proceeding with this reservation, you acknowledge and understand that you are renting a cabin located in the rural woods of Northern Maine. While we strive to provide a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment, there are natural elements that come with the setting:
🐭 Mice Activity: Mice may be present year-round due to the surrounding wilderness, with increased activity during the cooler months (fall and winter) as they seek warmth indoors. We use natural and sterile methods to treat the cabin, but occasional sightings or signs of mice may still occur.
❄️ Ice & Snow: Icy conditions are common in colder months. We do our best to salt and shovel walkways, but some ice may remain. Please use caution when walking outside during these times.
🕸️ Spiders & Webs: In this remote wooded setting, spiders are prevalent. We clear webs before each guest’s arrival, especially around the exterior, but they often rebuild quickly due to the natural environment.
By confirming your stay, you accept and understand these conditions as part of the authentic and rustic Northern Maine experience. 🌲🏡

Located on the edge of Moosehead Lake, my recently renovated house offers unobstructed lake views from every room. The home is designed to creatively utilize 3 levels of living space while maximizing vistas of Moosehead Lake and Big Moose Mountain. One guest described the home as cozy with lots of character…a “tree house for adults” with all the modern comforts.
• The main level is an open concept, contains the kitchen/dining/living rooms with a wood stove along with a full bathroom. Floor to ceiling windows along the kitchen and dining areas fill the main level with light and offer ever changing views of the lake, surrounding mountains and spectacular sunsets.
• The upper level is comprised of a loft/catwalk with floor to ceiling windows, and two bedrooms – each with views of the lake, cathedral ceilings, queen beds and half-baths.
Note: The full bathroom on the main level is in service throughout the year. However, due to concerns about the possibility of freeze ups during extreme cold, the half-baths are not in service between November through March.
• The lower level offers another comfortable living room with a gas-fired wood stove, large sectional sofa w/pull out queen sofa bed, big screen TV w/surround-sound and foosball table.
• The cabin is equipped with a completely automatic, whole-house generator so your stay won't be interrupted by a power outage.
There is a level, grassy lawn along the front of the house which is ideal for enjoying and unwinding at the edge of the lake. There is seating, a picnic table and fire pit which is perfect to shake-off the evening chill while roasting s’mores and star-gazing.
The shoreline along the lawn is rocky with deep, clear, refreshing water. Although suitable for adults to enjoy, the bottom is rocky so the best spot for families to swim is the common beach area which is a two minute walk from the house. This area has a pebbly bottom so water shoes are recommended.
The house is located in approximately 1 mile from Greenville’s town center and is part of an association of 7 cabins which share a 70 foot slate jetty along with a common beach area. There is parking for two vehicles. The setting is peaceful, and there are neighbors close by.
Although Greenville, Maine is a small town, it offers year round casual restaurants, a variety of shops and the convenience of a grocery store. There is even a family owned pharmacy with an authentic counter-serviced soda fountain.
- "Beautiful location. When the weather was clear, an ideal spot for star gazing. It was a little tricky getting our kayaks in the water. Overall a great spot." - "Great views, updated vintage Moosehead Cabin. So close to the water you fell asleep listening to the water lapping the shore and Loons calling. Everett, the owner was very helpful and responsive." - "Really great location and nice property. Host was very accommodating." - "We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Greenville, Moosehead Lake, and the surrounding area. Everett's beautiful cabin, right on the lake, contributed greatly to our experience. The cabin is clean, very well kept, and fully equipped. Everett met us at the cabin for our check-in and we appreciated the tour of the property. While staying at Everett's cabin, we used our canoe to tour Moosehead near the cabin, and found some excellent fishing from our canoe on smaller lakes and ponds in the area. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and also used the gas grill outside. The lower-level living room has a wide screen TV hooked up to an excellent sound system, so we enjoyed a couple of movie nights with the streaming services Everett has subscribed to. This VRBO is a real gem."

Experience what it's like to have your own private lake house! This two-level, cabin-style home is the perfect escape for anyone looking to get away from it all. Step out the back door and follow the staircase through the verdant meadow to arrive at your private dock on the shallow pond. Dangle your feet in the water while the sun glints off the surface, or paddle out in the provided canoe or kayak.
Head back to the house for lunch and cook up some comfort food in the open, full kitchen. There's seating for four in the dining area, but if you can't get enough of the great outdoors, there's a table outside too. Grillmasters may opt instead to host a barbecue on the private gas grill.
The fun won't stop as the sun sets. Head down to the backyard firepit for some friendly banter or a sing-a-long peacefully surrounded by the towering trees.

Due to cancellation there is availability for the International Sea Plane Fly-In in September! Book now before it's gone.
Little Moose Camp was built around 1930 as part of the Birch Point Sporting Camps just 1 mile from downtown Greenville. The cabin is steps from the water and almost every window has views of the lake. The screened porch and yard (fire pit!) offer up gorgeous views across the lake at Little Moose and Big Moose Mountains where you can sip wine to the sunset. You will even be able to watch the seaplanes take off and land. Although the sporting camp no longer exist, this cabin has been restored and provides a wonderful escape from the rest of the world and brings you back in time just a little bit to the North Woods.
The camp has an all new kitchen and bathroom and is decorated in the spirit of the Maine woods with many pieces from local artisans, repurposed items, and lovely textiles. The bird feeders bring a wonderful variety of birds including hummingbirds, cedar waxwings, goldfinches, and purple finches. You might also meet the resident chipmunks who are known to beg for food along with a troop of mallard ducklings who are absolutely shameless with their cheeping.
The cabin is a single open concept camp with a queen firm bed, small sitting area that includes a comfy reclining couch, tv (bring your Netflix/Amazon login), dining table, gas fireplace for chilly days in September, screened porch with loveseat and table for two, plus an outside picnic table and firepit. Trees and flower gardens create a beautiful outdoor area to enjoy. There is a private dock (boats cannot be tied up here, but it's great for loading into canoes/kayaks, or jumping into the water). Additionally, Birch Point residents share a cove with a lovely swimming beach, dock, swim raft, and jetty. You can rent kayaks/canoes locally and put them in right here steps from the camp (you can even paddle back and forth to town). While this camp is not secluded in the woods, it is situated to provide privacy in the yard on the lake and on the porch. As an added bonus you can walk/ride bikes to the Dairy Bar for icecream after dinner cooked on the grill.
Little Moose is perfect for a single person or couple. Hikers, fishermen, birders, leaf-peepers, and paddlers will delight in the proximity to the trails and waterways of the area. Readers will never have to leave the camp - enjoy a great book surrounded by the lake and mountains. Anyone looking for a front row seat to the International Sea Plane Fly-In in September will be thrilled with this location. We typically due Saturday-Saturday rentals, but feel free to reach out if you need something different and we'll see if we can make it happen.
- "We had a very enjoyable stay at this cabin! It was comfortable, compact and was equipped with all the necessities. Host was very prompt in replying to any queries. Situated on the lakes edge - great for evening sunsets and morning moon sets! Offers peace and quiet yet 5 minutes drive to town. Definitely plan to return!" - "This cabin is absolutely perfect for two people. Cozy and all the comforts of home. Despite its close proximity to neighbors, we never heard or saw anyone. Sitting on the porch, which is directly facing and close to the lake, is very private. I cannot say enough about the friendly, consistent communication with the owner. We had a terrific stay!"

- "We really enjoyed staying at this property. It was so relaxing to sit outside and enjoy the lake views. The furniture and beds were both very comfortable at this property. The location was great, being just a few minutes out of town, and being close to many hiking trails. We did a moose tour while in town, and also hiked at Mount Kineo." - "Great location, right at the lake. Fully equipped kitchen, gas grill for outdoor cooking, fire pit, kayak, paddle board. Next to train tracks but no problem with noise, once per day only. Would recommend the place for sure. Visit Koladjo and Rockwood/ ferry to Mount Kineo park."

Welcome to are camp loon home away from home in beautiful town of Greenville, maine. Camp offers a gorgeous view of Moosehead Lake watch the sunset set behind little moose, and big moose mountain watch the sea planes lift and land all day or see the kineo boat sail by the camp. Being in a community on birch point we share over 400 feet of water frontage with a 70 foot jetty to fish off or maybe take all the pictures of nature a small beach area for that swim or float around with your float. A dock to hang out on place to put your kayaks or canoe. Camp is a mile from in town with shopping areas nice restaurants on the lake a grocery store take the family for a ice cream maybe sign up for one of those adventures on the lake the town has a family own drug store. Camp loon has a big lawn area to enjoy throwing a football maybe play some corn hole it has a wood fire place with wood to enjoy. The camp has a big drive way it can park 6 cars for family or friends that wants to visit or big enough to park your trail with your atvs on not worrying where to park your trailer plenty of room for that. There’s a back up generator hooked to the camp so you won’t have to worry if the power goes out on a cold windy night.Camp loon has just about 1000 sqf of space main floor has a dinning area, living room, full kitchen, full bathroom, 1 bedroom. Living room has a full couch, two recliners a nice gas fireplace on those cold wet nights when you want to stay inside and have a glass of wine with your friends it’s not for heating the camp but to relax by a fire the camp does have a gas monitor to heat the camp. The living room has a walk out deck that overlooks everyone else to enjoy the sunset or watch the activity on the lake and not having anything blocking your view, deck has a sitting area with a gas fire place for those late evening listening to the loons calling and a pellet grill for your outside grilling and two awnings for those rainy days. The dinning area sits 4 people. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, coffee pot, and toaster. All the cooking and dining essentials you need and the bar area sits two people. The bedroom has a queen bed it’s own tv. Bathroom has a shower with all the essentials you need. The loft has three beds a full couch plenty of room to play games and a tv with movie for the kids. This camp is a home away from home
- "We had an amazing week at this cabin! The location right on Moosehead Lake was incredible. The kids fished off the jetty daily while we watched from the comfort of the cabin deck. We had great access for paddle boarding and swimming. Loved coming back after a day of activities to cook on the grill, have a fire and watch the amazing sunsets. Cabin was clean, nicely decorated, and fully stocked with everything! The owners were super responsive to any questions. We would definitely love to return in the future!"

Quiet hillside community.

- "We went for the view, and it absolutely did not disappoint. " - "Easy check in process and easy to find, everything in the kitchen needed to have a great dinner, and oh my the jet tubs and huge shower! " - "First time renting here. Rented for a week. Best view ever! We are familiar with Greenville, as well as Rockwood. We rent every year, twice a year. This rental offered peace and quiet. Privacy, even though you know there are other homes nearby. And the view is to die for. Gorgeous sunsets. The house was more than we needed, as it was just my husband and I. But we appreciated all of the space. There is an a.c. unit in the Livingroom and in the master bedroom. We used a fan for the back room with the bunkbeds. There is a bureau in the master room but you will be living out of your suitcase for the bunk room. Also, the Adirondack chairs you see in photos are now by the firepit area. So you may want to bring your own folding chairs for the deck. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and some. There were no instructions on how to operate the a.c./heater/tv. You can text for anything and anytime. We just chose not to bother anybody. The location is great. Directly off of Lily Bay Road where we go moosing. No moose sightings this past week/year but we have seen many over the years directly on that road. We drive 30 minutes up, turn around and head back to town another 30 minutes. Greenville offers two fine dining restaurants. We like dining casually at Kelly's landing and the Dockside Inn and Tavern. Both offer lake views and outside dining. Trailside restaurant has good food, no view. Indian Hill Trading for groceries and everything else."

There is a boat launch and shared beach in the association that you will have access to.
- "The property was everything that I expected. Perfect location for seeing the area around the south end of Moosehead Lake. We fished Indian Pond with a Guide and caught lots of small mouth bass. We cruised on Moosehead lake on the Katahdin Steamboat. Great way to see the lake and learn the history of the area. The cabin was great with a lovely view of Lower Wilson Pond. Saw a few beautiful sunsets over the pond. Property was quiet yet close to Greenville. "

On the outskirts of downtown Greenville lies this quaint little cabin. It is just a few hundred yards from deeded access to Moosehead Lake and just a five minute drive to local amenities, such as a grocery store, hospital, and fine dining. If you are looking for a camp to get away to that gives you the opportunity to ride your ATV from the front door to the shorelines of the largest mountain lake east of the Rocky Mountains, this is it!
- "My husband and I stayed for four night after driving over from Western Maine. This cabin is just absolutely delightful! Clean, decorated in mostly red and black buffalo plaid. Everything was carefully thought out, plenty of towels, bed linens provided. Guess our only suggestions would be a bit more lighting in the sleeping corner "

🪵 Disclaimer: Rural Cabin Stay – Please Read 🌲
