- "Clean affordable and fairly close to skiing" - "Lovely New England getaway " - "This is an interesting place. A grand old mansion coupled with a new yoga retreat. I didn't stay at the retreat but booked a room to be in the area for the eclipse. Their are two different kinds of rooms, the mansion rooms and the carriage house rooms. The carriage house is the converted barn and these rooms are decorated in a more modern style. Carriage house rooms also include at least two basement rooms (which was what we were given) that are honestly kind of grim and gloomy. Would advise future travelers to ask for any rooms other than those in the basement. On the positive side, the shower was great and there is a beautiful common room to hang out in. I do think the owners or managers should try to hire more staff. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful but my sense is that they had to be about three places at once at all times. It was sometimes hard to find someone to ask questions/get help. "

This bright and clean ski-in/ski-out Sugarloaf Condo has 2 full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms (king bed downstairs - with door - and one twin bed with two sets of bunk beds in an OPEN LOFT upstairs). Enjoy views of the mountain while comfortably sleeping 7-8 people at the end of a day on the slopes or trails. The end of the Snubber chairlift is 150 yards from the building!

There is a TV and DVD in each room (living room and both bedrooms). Two of the DVD players have wifi access and can be used for HULU, Amazon Plus and more. Wifi is provided for our renters. We have a small selection of movies as well as ample games to keep the kids entertained. The kitchen includes a full size stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, fridge, dishwasher, and a full complement of pots and pans. A slow cooker and a blender are also provided.

We also have a boot dryer to dry out those wet ski/snowboard boots at the end of the day!!!

In Snowbrook Village you will find an indoor pool with three hot tubs and tennis courts. Access to Loop 1 of the cross country ski/mountain bike trails is also a short walk away. Once you arrive there is no need to drive anywhere as the on mountain shuttle will bring you to and from all local eats and attractions in the area!

All 90km of Outdoor Center Trails are included when you buy your lift ticket! The Alpine Exchange program allows guests to ski the slopes and explore the cross country ski trail network all in one day. The unit is located on the 3rd floor of an elevator serviced building, and it is bright and airy with lots of windows. You will look directly at the mountain, and the Whiffletree lift is directly in front of the building for unparalleled convenience. Take the elevator down to the ski locker, put your boards on, and walk 50' to the Whiffletree Lift and away you go. At the end of the day, sit on the couch and relax for Apres Ski while you take in the views on the super comfy couch. Stay in and cook dinner in the well equipped kitchen, or take a two minute stroll over to the base area and Main Street to find all the restaurants and nightlife that Sugarloaf offers. The living room has a 55" TV, and the bedroom has a 42" TV, and both offer Netflix YouTubeTV and Prime Video. The bathroom is a full bath and has a jacuzzi tub. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to whip up lunch or dinner. There is a coin-operated laundry room on the first floor of the building to dry out anything that gets wet on those powder days. Parking for one car right in front of the building. The unit was recently completely freshened up and is ready for your next ski getaway.

Our property is Located on Sugarloaf Mountain Resort & steeps from the Snubber chair lift mid station. Making this a great family Ski In and Ski Out location. The condo was built in the 1970’s and is situated on Mountainside Drive with a wilderness view from the deck. Sightings of wildlife occur regularly on the property. The condo is a single-story, single-bedroom condo style home with open-concept family room & kitchen . The property is clean, private & comfortable. Just minutes away are championship golf courses, mountain-biking out the door, fly-fishing, natural swimming holes, spas, boutiques, fine dining and the best skiing in the east. Our home sleeps 4 adults and 2 kids comfortably. The condo has parking for 1-2 vehicle.
The private family room upstairs has comfortable queen size pull-out couch for sleeping, flat-screen TV & WiFi. Just off the family room is a small hallway with a sink and multiple hooks for jackets and or towels. A large double door provides lots of natural light and access to a private deck with a view to the Snubber trail and chairlift. All kitchen appliances including dishwasher, 12 cup coffee maker, toaster, oven, stove microwave and refrigerator, pots, pans, & flatware. There is a pay washer & dryer in the basement for added convenience. The dining area has a table with seating for 4. The master bedroom has one King bed and two twin beds set up as bunk beds, with ample room to move around. The home is outfitted with everything a young family would need for a hassle-free family vacation (including Pack & Play). This is not a home that we rent excessively. The owner uses the home regularly and prefers couples and/or families for guests. The location of the house is close to everything you need from the town grocery store, to Sugarloaf boutique shops, and some of the best local hang-outs in the area! There is also a season ski shuttle (bus) that can move you around the resort.

This cozy, modern space is perfect for families as you are only a few yards away from the Snubber mid-station lift and the Sugarloaf Fitness Center. Don't feel like cooking? The Shipyard Brewhouse is just a 2 minute walk up the trail. The Village, with several restaurants, is a 5 minute walk up the hill.

THE CONDO
The condo is located on the ground floor with a private entrance. You enter through a mud room which has storage for all ski/snowboard gear. Inside is the main living/ dining area with a couch (full pull-out), two armchairs, a television and a table that can seat 5/6. This area is open to the kitchen which includes a full stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and the other with two sets of twin over twin bunk beds-perfect for the kids! There is one full bath with a tub/shower.

Just outside of the condo, you will find a private ski locker to store belongings when not on the mountain. Also included is complementary shuttle services via the Sugarloaf Explorer, which travels to the base lodge, and many other local amenities.

The lofted living space features two welcoming sofas. We offer HDTV, DVD, Bose surround sound. Relax with family and watch a movie from our extensive collection, or use the high speed internet to stream your favorite shows or movies on Roku. There is also a cozy book nook with lending library and a small desk and work space set up to accommodate anyone looking to work during their time at camp. And yes, we have high speed WiFi!

Any time of year a wood stove provides a welcoming ambiance as well as ample heat in winter, with convenient swing arms for drying cold and wet gear on snowy ski days. Firewood is available for the indoor stove and limited rough outdoor logs are available for the fire pit. Relax on our peaceful covered porch to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a beverage after a long day on the slopes. The large private yard is great for summer activities like frisbee and cornhole, and a grill and picnic table offers the opportunity to enjoy meals outdoors. At night the location of the Sugar Shack is unbeatable for stargazing; far enough from surrounding homes for a tranquil privacy, yet close enough to pop to the grocery store for a pint of ice cream!

Water is provided to our home from a well, but a recently installed whole house filtration system takes care of any unwanted sulfur smells and makes all faucets crisp and clean for drinking.

We welcome you to consider bringing your dog to The Sugar Shack. Please note there will be a nightly fee for canine guests, with additional fees if you are traveling with more than one dog. These fees help cover cleaning costs and wear and tear on our lovely home. Our yard is a great place for dogs to roam and in general we feel our home is very pet friendly. Pet fees are collected outside of your booking rate one week prior to arrival.

We have several old but well maintained mountain bikes available to guests for exploring our neighborhood and the surrounding area.

This convenient, on mountain location, is just a short walk across the parking lot to the Snubber chair lift or catch the Sugarloaf explorer free shuttle right outside the door. It will take you to the Sugarloaf base lodge, village and lifts, the Sugarloaf outdoor center, the antigravity center. (Bus Runs only during the winter ski season)

Conveniently located in the heart of Carrabassett Valley on Sugarloaf mountain. The Sugarloaf Resort offers over 2800 feet of vertical and the most ski-able acres in the East with Sugarloaf’s backcountry style glades like Brackett Basin and Androscoggin Glade on Burnt mountain. This area was previously only accessible by hiking or skinning can now be accessed by a 12 passenger snowcat. Just outside the door of this condo is the extensive network of Nordic Trails which connect to the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center which offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on 90 km of groomed trails and ice skating on an NHL sized rink. The Maine Huts and Trail System is just a short drive to the Narrow Gauge Pathway which links to over 50 miles of trails with huts, such as nearby Stratton Brook and Popular Falls. Visit in the summer and fall; and play golf at the Sugarloaf Golf Club, ranked as one of the top 100 public courses in the country by Golf Digest. Also, in the same weekend you can experience class IV and V white water rapids rafting on the Kennebec River and Dead River. Book one of the release dates on the Dead River to experience the most continuous whitewater in the Northeast.

About Sugarloaf: Sugarloaf is located in Carrabassett Valley in the heart of the Western Maine Mountains. Besides these functional elements, the space itself is charming (especially compared to many 80s ski condos that you see online.) It is a well cared for unit, tastefully decorated and in very good condition. Finally, a few words about our hosts. We feel especially grateful to have met and casually conversed with hosts Kim, Dave, and two of their children. Each interaction reinforced the feeling of being extraordinarily welcome. Kim was incredibly responsive and thoughtful by text and in person. We couldn't have been more thrilled with how the space worked for us!"

This cozy ski in/ski out condo is in a desirable location and just a short chairlift ride to the base of Sugarloaf Mountain. Ski or mountain/fat bike directly from the condo! A queen murphy bed, pull out full size sofa bed, and a twin bed provide plenty of sleeping space. The space
Located in the popular Sugartree I complex, access to the Snubber chair lift mid station is just outside the door. A dedicated ski locker is available onsite. There are also outdoor hooks to hang your bikes directly outside the condo. A propane fireplace provides warmth and ambience. This central location can't be beat with the Shipyard Brewhaus nearby and the Sugarloaf base area just a short walk, ski, chair ride, or shuttle away. Coin operated laundry is available on-site too. The condo also boasts sliding glass doors with a view of the mountain.
Guest access
Free parking for is available in the building's parking lot. A free shuttle during winter also provides access to resort areas if you don't want to walk or ski or ride.
Other things to note
You can easily work remotely with 100+ mbps high speed internet providing plenty of bandwidth for video calls. Enjoy a Carrabasset Coffee Company coffee made with our espresso machine or french press each morning and enjoy some hot chocolate in front of the fireplace after a day of skiing. We will be sure to leave you plenty of both for your stay!

The space
Enjoy the treehouse feel of this top floor unit from the covered porch that overlooks the Carrabassett River and the Kingfield Dam. This small unit has everything you need away from home. The bedroom contains a spacious king size bed and convenient washer/dryer. The living room has a 50" TV with Roku streaming. There is a fully stocked kitchen and coffee station with light, medium, and dark roast coffee. In the bathroom, you'll find slate floors and a tiled tub-shower.

This is a 3 unit property. Guests will have access to the porches/ stair set and the 3rd floor unit. Guests will have a designated parking spot.
Other things to note
Please keep in mind that this is a small efficiency unit located on the third level. The only access is 2 flights of stairs. And while we have packed it with all the amenities, it is a small space!

The enclosed deck was very nice to hang out on. I appreciated having a hair dryer available. The shower head was amazing. Just a couple of items would have been a nice creature comfort for guest. A starter bar of soap, wash cloths, instructions on how to lock the electronic lock when leaving (took me 2 days to figure that one out). It is a lot of stairs so just be aware. I will absolutely stay here again."

A short walk to Snubber Chairlift gets you up the mountain. A run down Snowbrook Trail gets you home. The Outdoor Center and the Carrabassett Valley Mountain Trail Network offer activities including Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, mountain & fat tire biking, and hiking on an extensive trail network, accessible year-round from our parking lot.
In the winter time enjoy the associations pool building with a nice clean pool, three hot tubs, a sauna, and a game room upstairs.
In the all seasons step out of our parking lot onto the dog walking trail that connects you to miles and miles of Outdoor Center trails great for snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, fat biking, mountain biking, hiking and running.

This spacious, ground level apartment is located in the highly sought after Twinbrook neighborhood offering sweeping views of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Bigelow Range. The property is conveniently located a short ride to the mountain bike trails in the summer and an easy 7-minute shuttle ride to and from the base lodge in the winter. Guests have a private entrance with a large mudroom for gear. The space is warm and cozy with radiant heat in the winter and cool in the summer with high ceilings and lots of windows/light. There is plenty of room to spread out with two large bedrooms, an open living/dining area and a well-appointed kitchen. The first bedroom has a queen bed and the second has a queen bed with a set of twin bunks. Both rooms have large closets, dressers, new mattresses and high-quality linens. The kitchen offers a large apron sink with soapstone countertops, electric glass top range, microwave, refrigerator, breakfast bar and an outdoor grill. The living/dining area has a full dining table great for sit down meals, board games and it doubles as a bright, quiet place for remote work. There is a comfy sectional with two leather, swivel tub chairs and flat screen TV for relaxing after a day on the trails. The large bathroom has a full shower and granite vanity with double sinks. Two parking spots. In the back of the property, the 'twin brooks' for which the subdivision was named, converge into a beautiful babbling brook which feeds into the Carrabassett River. Guests have private access to the stream and the multi-use trail system. We are a very short ride to the Outdoor Center and the cross country and bike trails can be accessed from our neighborhood. It is a short drive to nearby restaurants (The Rack and Hug's), a fantastic local, well stocked convenience store (Mountainside Grocers), the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, the Anti-Gravity Center, Carrabassett Valley Academy, Sugarloaf Golf Course and the Narrow Gauge Pathway. In the winter, regular shuttle service runs on weekends and school vacation weeks providing a quick 7-minute ride to the mountain every 30 minutes. This is a non-smoking, non-pet rental. Owners are in the upper level with a separate entrance.

- "We had a family group of avid skiers and found this place at the last minute for February ski week. It was so lucky that we found it! This is a gorgeous, new unit that is very spacious and accommodating - larger and lovelier than the photos even. Good kitchen, comfy beds and sofas, plenty of room for us all to eat together at the table. The shuttle bus picked us up literally from the driveway and took us to the mountain just a few minutes away. A fantastic week in Sugarloaf. We hope to be back!"
