Set on the shoreline of beautiful Lake St. George, this chalet rests in a quiet, private setting that simply brings happiness and a sense of calm. Enjoy one of Maine's clearest lakes from the comfort of this amazing home! Or, walk across the grassy lawn to the lake to start your day w/coffee on the dock while watching the sunrise. Go for a swim or a paddle. Take the provided canoe for a tour of the lake, a fishing outing or a sunset cruise. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles and loons! At night enjoy gazing at the stars. The main level of the house is an open concept with a massive stone chimney that soars to the top of the living room’s vaulted ceiling. The “wall of glass” that faces the lake allows for amazing light while the two ceiling fans keep the air moving. This level has the fully equipped kitchen, living room with large smart TV, dining area, craft/game table area, the bedroom with queen bed, one full bathroom and laundry machines. The wrap-around deck has chairs, table and a gas grill. The upper level is a loft that has the master bedroom with king bed, smart TV and the other full bathroom. The lower level has the room with bunk beds (twin and full mattress), love seat and four tall windows that provide for a great view of the lake. Heat/cooling pumps on main floor and lower level keep the house comfortable in cold and hot weather. The home is modernized with free WiFi, two new 4K smart TV’s and roku devices to enable you to login to your streaming subscriptions. For your safety and security, we have an electronic keypad for entry and front door camera. If you desire to explore more of Maine, we are a relatively short drive to some GREAT coastal towns: 16 miles to Belfast, 20 miles to Camden/Rockport, 73 to Acadia National Park & 79 miles to Portland. PLEASE NOTE: there are roughly 20 gradual steps to get from the parking area down to the house. From the house to the lake there are stairs down from the deck and then a very gradual walk across the lawn to the lake.

Liberty Maine Cottage is a charming, year round home located on the shores of Lake St. George in Liberty, Maine. The cottage sleeps four people comfortably in 2 separate bedrooms. There is a living room, a large fully equipped kitchen and dining area a mud room and full bath. The waterside wrap around 400 sf deck provides additional space for outdoor relaxation and living. Bed linens and towels are provided. A rowboat, canoe and (3) kayaks are available to use. This lovely cottage is situated on 150 ft. of water frontage and 40 ft. from the water’s edge. Lake St. George is a beautiful spring fed crystal clear 1,017 acre pristine mountain lake 500 feet above sea level and is known for excellent fishing and its large population of loons. The Town of Liberty is 15 miles from the coast and 25 miles from the state capital. Liberty is a central location for visiting nationally known tourist attractions such as Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Belfast, Camden, Rockland and Boothbay Harbor.

A fish jumps out of the still clear waters while jeweled dragonflies hover, a turtle suns itself on a nearby rock, the calls of the loons echo across the lake. You are relaxed and enjoying a good book as you lay on the chaise lounge which is on the dock just inches above the water…. You move the boat into the shadow of an overhanging tree and cast your line near a protruding rock. Then all of the sudden a 3lb Small-mouth bass inhales your offering and makes a quick turn and darts to get away, the bass leaps out of the water and shakes its head trying to throw the hook loose…. You spent some of the morning in the quaint Maine coastal town shopping, you go to the farmers market, where you were able to pick up locally made/grown bread, cheese organic produce and fresh fish for tonight’s dinner. On the way back to the cottage you stop and pick up some adult beverages at a local winery and ….. You spend a glorious sunny summer afternoon paddling kayaks around out in the big lake. You stop at Blueberry Island for a late afternoon swim in the crystal clear, cool water it’s so refreshing and invigorating. You pick a few handfuls of wild blueberries and you eat some now and place rest in a bag to save for tomorrow’s breakfast….. You are sitting on the deck in the early evening and as the sun sets it creates a brilliant lighting effect against the trees on the opposite shore line, which then reflects upon the water creating an intoxicating display of colors and images….. The evenings concert is just beginning first you hear the spring peepers in the background, and then the birds and insects create the rhythm with an assortment of chirping. Then the main performers start, although you never know who is going to show up or where they will be singing from, sometimes upstream, sometimes downstream, sometimes both. The Green, Wood and Tree frogs provide choruses of a medley of moaning, grunting, and banjo like plucking sounds while the Bull frog’s repetitive low baritone grunts sound like a tuba in the background keeping the beat and with a occasional cry from a loon it is truly nature’s symphony …. You then pick up you drink to head inside to prepare your dinner with the fresh ingredients that you picked up earlier in the day while you hum Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World'……. After dinner and before you retire for the night, you turn off all the house lights and go out to the deck. You stand there and look up at the night’s sky and see more stars then you could ever imagine. You then find the North Star and begin trying to identify the constellations….

- "This house had everything I could have wanted and more. Clean and comfortable! Fifth time in Maine for me over the past four years and this was by far the best value I’ve had. Has a lot of amenities than many more expensive listings can’t match. I loved the kayaks and the custom dock that made getting in and out a breeze. Didn’t use the bigger boats, but this house is very well stocked both inside and out. A lot of useful tips in the listing/guide and particularly enjoyed Haystack mountain and the local brewery. Long story short, I’m looking to come back next year!"

Private cabin overlooking beautiful Cargill pond in Liberty Maine private dock with swim to dock off shore. Kayaks, canoe and awesome bass fishing right from dock. Cabin has 3 bedrooms , two upstairs, one bedroom has two twin beds the other has queen and one on first floor that has a full bed , 1 bathroom with shower, kitchen, wood and propane heat. Wrap around deck with beautiful view of water and stars at night.Has a large backyard. Cabin is situated about 200ft off water on a seven acre lot. Walk down to dock on switch back path (steep) or walk down circular road to other path (much less steep)

- "The cabin was roomy and comfortable. The pond (which is the size of a small lake) was great to sit by, swim in and watch the loons go by. There were no motor boats at all. The stars were able to be easily seen (no light pollution). The drive to the shore in Belfast was only about 25 minutes away. There are great state parks and long and short hikes close by. All in all, we would be happy to go back and stay there again (even though it was an 11 hour drive for us coming from Pennsylvania!)."

"Loon Camp" puts you right on Lake St. George - the screened in porch is only 5 feet from the water. It is one of the most desirable lots on the lake, with its unusually level land and west facing exposure, providing afternoon sun, stunning sunsets, and the panorama benefiting from being centered on the largest open part of the lake. It has nice open living room with a vaulted ceiling and a large front window. You won't be to take your eyes off the water while dining at the main table (sits 6). The farmer's porch is an incredible place to relax and enjoy the view of the lake and islands, with plenty of comfortable chairs. The quiet and seclusion of this location makes for a restful and peaceful vacation. Watching the loons swim past close to shore simply amazing. Listening to their calls at night will provide a unique experience.

The kitchen has everything you'll need for your stay. Electric stove, refrigerator, drinking water from a drilled well, coffee maker, electric grill and skillet, etc... and all the utensils you will require for your stay . Paper towels, dug well, toilet paper, etc... are provided. The main camp has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with two twins. The detached bunk house has two twin beds and a double bed, separated into two bed rooms. Linens, face cloths, towels, etc... are NOT available, so you will need to bring your own. Off the kitchen is a large bathroom with a tub/shower. For grilling, lounging, and eating outdoors, the large raised rear deck is outfitted with a picnic table and gas grill, catching sun starting around mid morning. New dock in 2019 to accommodate boat docking, along with a boat mooring in 2021. The canoe has an area next to the camp for easy launching and storage. In case it gets cool, we have an externally vented Rinnai heater in the great room. There is also a TV and DVD player (and DVD library). TV reception is via an external antenna. We added internet in 2018 and added a booster in 2019. Our internet provider is DSL though and is slower.

- "Second time staying here. Peaceful and beautiful as ever. Love it" - "Good" - "We booked this cabin primarily for the view which was amazing and did not disappoint. Kids enjoyed having the loft and the Sasquatch theme was fun. Kitchen was good for cooking basic meals and grill worked fine. The driveway was a bit challenging so something to consider if you have a small vehicle. Recommend texting the owner a day or 2 before arriving if you have not received the entry code. Also, recommend stopping in Belfast on the way in for groceries. We enjoyed the local attractions: hiking Haystack Mtn, blueberry picking at Sweet Seasons farm, pizza from Washington General store, fishing and paddling at Stevens Pond and day trip to Camden shops and the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse."

I was excited about the location, right by the beautiful St. George Lake, and all of the outdoor and indoor space the house has to offer. When we arrived we were greeted by a view to the southeast over hilly green conservation land that stretches out to Penobscot Bay. The pool house was a lot of fun, and the massive professional stove/oven made cooking for a large group enjoyable. We spent a lot of time soaking up the sunny weather on the patio and lawn. Nearby amenities include John's Ice Cream (a classic New England stand) and Lori's Cafe (donut breakfast sandwich?!). Don't miss Lake St. George State Park for a swim either, if you can bring yourself to leave the fun at the house!"

You will have access to our hot tub year-round and lake access is seasonal from May through October with access to a stand-up paddle board, canoe, kayaks, and life jackets are also provided.

- "This house is a dream. You can tell that a lot of thought and love have gone into making this a comfortable house for guests. We spent our days down on the dock enjoying the boats and swimming in the lake, grilling dinner and using the hot tub. With little kids I especially appreciated the amount of towels available to us. Also the AC was wonderful on the hot days. The only cons of this property were that -the only bathroom is upstairs, -that the stairs are very steep and my kids needed help going up and down and constant supervision around the stairs -and that the road is quite hazardous as it’s not busy but people are driving fast on it."

Wonderful, single home with 100' waterfront in Liberty. Great location-not far from Camden and Belfast. Marvelous swimming, fantastic fishing, excellent boating (canoe/rowboat/kayaks), private dock and swim raft. Open floor plan with cathedral ceiling allows plenty of space to relax. Screened porch provides quiet bug free space to enjoy the outdoors for meals or just sitting and watching the water. All appliances including dishwasher, washer and dryer make for a stress free place to vacation which has resulted in many families returning year after year to enjoy this house. Loons, beavers, hummingbirds and more abound in this quiet location. One dog allowed if part of the family and children are welcome.

Early 1800's original settlement on the banks of 15 Mile Stream with old foundations and bottle dumps. We have 265 acres with over 3 miles of old private discontinued roads and plenty of wildlife. You wont believe how brilliant the stars are because how dark it is at night. The closest inhabited house is over a half mile away from the property. There are 4 primitive tent sites on the property. RV has a large battery bank with a large solar panel and a generator you can run for 4 hours a day (respect the neighbors please). You will need to bring sheets, blankets, towels, charcoal for the grill and drinking water. There is 40 gallons of water in the camper for the toilet, sinks and shower. If more water is needed or the septic needs to be pumped out that can be done for $40 each.

Great location for large family gatherings, and with the 2 private cabins on site, you could easily have a family reunion.

- "The cabin is located on a hillside with a lovely view of the valley. We were were unable to enjoy the breeze as the door handle to one of the two sets of French doors was broken off. The living room furniture was up close to both sets so the only way to open the other set completely was by moving the living room furniture. We opened the kitchen window (which had a storm window/screen). Unfortunately there were dead flies piled in between the window and the storm screen so we closed it so the dead flies wouldn’t blow in. The Queen mattresses are very hard. The shower can only be reached through one of the bedrooms. The kitchen counter gets sticky when wet. Truly this was a very disappointing stay. "

Our cabin is a year round house with heat, full bath with shower, toilet, sink, hot water and kitchenette with refrigerator, electric cook top, outdoor grill. We have some minor finishing touches to complete (exterior trim) and have priced the tiny house to enjoy “pre final” completion.

What differentiates our tiny house from many others are the creature comforts of a full bathroom with hot and cold water and shower, kitchen with running water and electrical hot cooktop and air conditioning and heat in the tiny home. On the back patio we have dining seating, lounge seating around the fire pit and a large grill for bbq. We have provided a full size day bed for comfy sleep at night.

Perfect for year-round getaways, our house is your base for all-season activities. Enjoy direct trail access in the winter, scenic hikes during the warmer months, and the natural beauty that Maine has to offer all year long. We look forward to welcoming you!

Head to the Mid-Coast towns of Camden, Rockland, Damariscotta, Booth Bay Harbor for shopping, dining, beaching, ocean tours and the like. Or enjoy the lake region (Saint George Lake is minutes from the cabin) for fishing, kayaking and swimming. The ATV trails are around the corner and the property site on the snow mobiling trail.

The kitchen, while small, has all of the necessities for dining in. The cabin has a two burner cooktop, refrigerator/freezer, sink and microwave, along with all of the cooking utensils to prepare your meals. Or, for the foodies amongst us, head to Freedom Maine for the must do bucket list dining experience at The Lost Kirchen. A bit farther up the road, in Unity, is a great Amish shop for fresh cheese and meats, The Charcuterie.

As the day winds down, sit by the fire pit and gaze up at the starry skies and take in the Milky Way Galaxy. When it’s time to retire, the full bed provides a cozy place for slumber or doze off watching your favorite shows when you log into your online accounts for movie night from our smart TV.

Enjoy the easy access to lake front just steps from the porch with a your own dock situated in deep water so you can dive right into this crystal clear lake! This lake house has a new furnace for heat in the winter and on-demand hot water for all year, means you will never run out! Super convenient parking spots just behind to the house can park 3+ vehicles. One spot even has an EV charger. 3 hours from Boston, 1.5 hours from Portland, and 30 minutes from Belfast there is loads to do....again if you can drag yourself out of the woods away from the lake.

- "Our family had a wonderful stay at this lakefront home! It exceeded our expectations, which were already high from the photos! The house was clean and extremely well appointed, with every comfort that the host could think to provide. The rooms and beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room for the 9 family members who stayed in the house. Having 2 full baths and laundry at a lake house was super convenient. Fair warning, the "sunroom" has windows in 3 sides, so if you're including that in your bedroom count be sure you're bringing someone who can sleep in full sunlight or gets up with the sun! The property is wide so we felt that there was a decent amount of privacy from neighbors when we were on the large deck or hanging out at the fire pit. The water was clean, the swimming area was large, and the water got deep quickly for swimming. The host allowed use of their two paddle boards, which we loved! We would happily return, and highly recommend!"

Our camp is a 2 BR house that sits in a quite cove on Sheepscot Lake in Palermo, Maine. There is about 115 feet of lake shore frontage with a dock that provides convenient access to the lake. The first floor has the bathroom, master bedroom, full kitchen, dining area and living room. The second floor has the second bedroom with two beds and a common area with a pull-out bed. The gravel access road is great for nature walks.
