- "The property was beautiful and perfect for a peaceful trip. The staff was so wonderful and accommodating. The lodge definitely seems to be in some transition as the owners mentioned just taking over 4 months ago. With that there are some upgrades that would make this stay even more perfect but I highly recommend! Breakfast daily and dinner as well as part of the stay. " - "A wonderful lakeside lodge with updated rooms and comfortable common areas. The staff was inviting and made us feel at home. Dinner was served at our leisure that was excellent. We are looking forward to our next visit."

- "Small but has it all. We had everything we could want and we felt completely taken care of by Ashley. We loved it. " - "Ashley was a great host. She provided us with all that we needed during our stay including help with dishes, letting us use the grill, setting up a table for us for dinner on her patio, and material to make smores! I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Acadia national park and the nearby areas." - "We recently stayed three nights in Ashley’s camper. There were 2 of us. Ashley met us at check in to make sure we understood all the details of the camper, which was super helpful! The camper was very clean and nicely decorated. Ashley was very responsive to any questions we had about places to eat, where to swim and places to hike. The location was great because it was quiet and relaxing, but not too far from Bar Harbor or Acadia. Enjoy the outdoors and then head back to the camper for s’mores at the fire pit near the camper! Overall great experience! We will definitely stay there again!!"

Loved the stay!" - "My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Blueberry cottage this weekend. The cottage is cute and clean. The view was across the water with all the colors reflected in the pond. The place was well appointed and had everything we needed. The only drawback was the steep terrain from the parking lot to the cabin.Beware, pine needles can be very slick under foot. Despite the climb we really enjoyed our stay. Deena C."

- "Love our stay at Loon. Beautiful views right on the water. The cabin had everything we needed and made for a perfect rest after spending time at Acadia. We also enjoyed the BBQ grill and outdoor amenities. Highly recommend! " - "A lovely adorable cabin. The pictures and description were very accurate. The property was well maintained and quiet. My cabin had its own fire pit, chairs, grill, and picnic table right by the water. I sat by the water each morning and evening soaking in the quiet. I saw ducks, eagles, osprey, and muskrat so it was not lonely. The cabin was well stocked and perfect in size. The weather was a bit chilly but the heater in the cabin kept me warm. The paths to the cabins by the water are steep but manageable. The map provided by the host was accurate and he responded to my questions very quickly. It was the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. I would definitely stay here again. "

We are looking forward to our 3rd stay in the near future." - "My wife and spent a week at Rupert and Christine’s place. The property and location were great. Easy to get to MDI, and we explored Blue Hill and Deer Isle right below. Great hiking in Acadia, the numerous preserves in Blue Hill / Deer Isle and Great Pond Mountain (an easy hike close by with great views. The house was clean, comfortable with everything you need to enjoy the property and Heart Pond. Rupert was very responsive and a nice guy. Heart Pond itself is clean, clear and cold. Saw four loons and a bald eagle. Traffic on Route 1 was heavy on Saturday but tapered off during the week and was not a big deal. Would stay here again."

- "We had a very pleasant stay at Riverhouse. Dan is a wonderful host. We had great conversations with him and appreciated his suggestions as to places to visit and things to do. We would definitely visit again." - "The Riverhouse was the perfect cottage for our first trip to Maine. It gave us the country cottage feel while being close enough to the grocery, restaurants and things to do. Our host, Dan, was absolutely amazing!! He contacted us several times to make sure we had the correct directions to the cottage and to make us aware about changes in the weather. Due to travel delays, we were VERY late arriving but he had the light on for us. He met me the next morning to go over any questions we had and to share with us the history of the area and the house. Dan is a true "inn keeper" sharing his love of the area, the history and making sure his guests have a memorable vacation."

Our cabin is located on a beautiful private peninsula (1 1/2 Acres) with over 1000ft of lake frontage. It's perfectly located & close to everything: Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor: historic Castine; Blue Hill; etc.; Yet tucked away from it all, too. Cozy Maine cottage with teardrop shaped fireplace makes for a perfect lakeside get-away on one of Maine's most desirable lakes. Craig's Pond is one of Maine's Top 10 Clearest Lakes with no equals in the area. Entire glass front of cabin offers unforgettable views from every space. Built before setbacks, the front deck goes right up to the crystal-clear water (most places have to be set back hundreds of feet from the water). Spectacular views of the lake from everywhere on the property. Complete privacy & seclusion with no visible neighbors allows for the solitude and serenity Maine is known for. Pet friendly. Everything you need for an unforgettable holiday in Vacationland. P.S. - Looking over listings, it's hard to tell one lake from another. Water quality, water clarity, neighbor proximity & development are hard to tell by listings or photos. Craig's Pond is considered one of the best lakes around. There are only a dozen or so total cabins on the lake and it’s not overly crowded. Our calendar fills up with return renters. Stay at our cabin and you'll see why. 100% 5-star reviews!
- "This is the fourth time we’ve stayed here. The place is great if you realize you’re going into camp. It’s not a five star hotel but I’d take this place over any five star in the world. You can’t beat the location and everything you need to enjoy the pond is there for you. I always come out of there totally relaxed and recharged. Looking forward to returning in the future." - "Perfect place." - "I seriously considered giving a 1-star review because I don't want anyone else to find this little slice of perfection. This is a wonderful and charming cabin in the woods on a private peninsula, with all the peace and quiet you could hope for. Most of our time was spent lounging on the deck reading and unwinding. The owner was very helpful and attentive while also respecting our privacy. We could easily have gone the whole visit without seeing another human being. We will be visiting again for sure."

Loved the views & was able to make the most of that with the use of the kayaks available right by the water, life jackets were also available. Enjoyed the fire pit & the convenience of having chopped wood available on sight put it over the top! Close to Fort Knox and town. We just wished that firewood was provided for renters." - "We enjoyed the lake and easy access to Rt 1 and all the coastal destinations. Everything in the cabin was what we expected from the description and presented nicely. We enjoyed our stay very much and sat on the lakeside pontoon every evening. Internet was only working for short periods, so this should not be listed as a feature of the cabin. - "It was surprising how awful this place was. Everything from the tablecloth to the fridge - gross. It was a nightmare. I would ask for my money back (we notified the host that we weren't going to stay) but I have no faith that anyone cares - or else that place would have been better.I opened the cupboards to find cleaner so I could clean it - I hoped to entertain family - and even the cleaning products and broom, etc, were disgusting."

- "Mark and Laurie where beyond great hosts! They absolutely thought of every thing you needed and then some. The property is great for relaxing, close proximity to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. You too will love their ”little slice of haven”." - "We absolutely loved this place! Our only complaint was the water heater took a little too long to kick on. Now that I gave you our one very minor thing, believe me when i say youbwill love it here. The lake is beautiful and plenty rhat Mark and Laurie offer to do here. They are tremendously friendly and have a smooth operation. The haven was so nicely done and stocked with everything we needed. We were so relaxed and the time flew by!"

- "Amazing in every way. The cabin we stayed in was old and rustic (but up to date) with so much charm. I absolutely adored our cabin. We stayed in the lupine cabin. It was private enough for us but we were still able to enjoy our neighbors company. The lake was refreshing and only STEPS away. There were life jackets, canoes, kayaks, peddle boat etc for everyone to utilize. Staff was very welcoming, very helpful and accommodating! I highly enjoyed talking to the staff about the history of the resort. Eddie was very kind and very easy to get a hold of. He checked in on us, which was really nice to know he TRULY cared about our stay. We would recommend to anyone.! Get the kids and have a family weekend. Or even a husband and wife to get away and unwind. Don't want to stay at the cabin you don't have to. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Thrift shopping was amazing! There was so much to look at and so many places to look. You won't regret your stay. I will 100% be going back next year! "
