Cabin #41 - Flagpole View Cabins - King Cabin

- "Very friendly restaurant staff, easy check in, private, very quiet, comfortable cabin. Excellent Mexican takeout in Millbridge and wonderful beaches and hiking trails around Machias. Great time to buy wild blueberries and enjoy the stark beauty of the barrens. Would visit again!" - "The cabin was clean and new. It was a little difficult finding the place the first night. When I called for help, I was told you are close. You will be driving by our house in a couple of minutes, I will get in front of you and lead you to your cabin. The food and service at the on-site restaurant was very good. We will go back, especially if they get the FLAG POLE installed. Only negative, you need to make your own hotspot for TV use; which meant we didn't turn on the TV and didn't miss it."

- "I love this place and will be back next time I am in the area. Bed is comfy and the shower is the bomb." - "What a beautiful property hidden in the mountains. You can wake up to the sun rise. The staff is super friendly. The food is great. They even give out little toys to my sons. Best place for family vacation or romantic getaway." - "We enjoyed spending a special weekend with friends . WAA was excellent with providing a full weekend of activities for patriotic people. Only problem was no hot water to wash or shower. This was problematic. "

- "we had a great experience and the owners are kind and helpful. They prepared us for that place within an hour. It wasn't easy to reach that place (due to the gravel road). Other than that, the place is nice." - "This property is not what is shows at the time of booking. The gravel road is so eroded that even an SUV is not near capable of reaching the property. The place has not bathroom and no hot water. The place has limited cold water too. No potable water and you will be stuck in the place at night since the owner is not helpful. Also, we found a snake skin in the cabin and when informed the owner about it. The owner started laughing hysterically. This place is creepy and unsafe, and if you want to risk your life you can opt for this place. "

- "Cabins are very nice, microwave and fridge. No coffee pot, free coffee at the restaurant. Laundry on site." - "Scary. Huge black spiders in the bathtub. Very uncommunicative check-in, no info on property, trash, or any services. If you are over 55 and don't know much about streaming services, forget TV. Handle broke off of door fridge and wardrobe. Tiny bathroom counter even though the space is huge. Not a very efficient layout. This might work for some, but not for us."

- "Staff was great to work with and treated your requests with a positive attitude and rapid response." - "Beautiful cabin. The television wasn’t connected to anything so it was useless. We would have liked black out curtains because once the sun came up we couldn’t sleep. Checking in and out was confusing. We just went to our cabin and the key was there. We couldn’t find anyone to check out so we just left the key. I wanted to talk to someone to report a clogged drain but never saw anyone. Overall, we were happy with our stay."

- "The cabins are lovely, well built, rustic, high ceilings, good light, heat pump system….very clean. Great bed and pillows. Birch clusters and evergreens all around the cabins. Great kayaking in nearby S. Addison. But you have to travel 6 miles to get a cuppa coffee. And 15 or so miles for a restaurant. And there’s no internet connection so bring a good book. " - "Clean quiet very nice cabins"

- "First, we loved the concept of these cabins. They are sent up well. It's was full of cobwebs that I kept walking into. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great once I got rid of huge spider. The room was freezing when we checked in and no directions on controls so we turned it off. We went for dinner at the take out cafe and ordered but they were out of a lot of items that we had paid for so it was a mess trying to figure out the crazy changing of monies. She kept charging different amounts and forgot things. Also, I have to say her outfit behind the counter was pretty disgusting. The next morning, their free coffee was very limited with no decaf options. I had to go into their kitchen to get water for the coffee machine. I hope all these things are because it's new and they have to work the bugs out!"

- "A bit out of the way. Very clean. Very Pro Veteran. See website" - "The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They truly cared and made sure we had an easy check in process despite us getting in at midnight. That being said, while the cabin was beautiful, it was incredibly dirty. I found a dead roach in my bed, there were insects in the shower, the top sheets were dirty, and it was clear that the cabin hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long while."

- "Nice wood cabin, in a beautiful spot. There's was no wifi (it wasn't a surprise but it's rare and would be nice to add..) There was nothing to do with the TV because there was no cable to. Bed matress where confortable and it was nice to have 6 places for the kids. There was many spiderwebs and the cleaning could be better. "

- "No code was ever sent to check in, the cabin was just unlocked. Not used or cleaned in a while. Spider webs everywhere. 2 half dollar size spiders in the tub. No wifi. No curtain on door right by sink to brush teeth etc. Zero privacy. Not even a checker board or newspaper to occupy kids. No fan in bathroom made it very steamy, and could barely change in the tiny shower/toilet area. Screw actually sticking out through wall in these rushed together cabins. Unless you want to get the bare bones, this is not a great stay."
