If you want to stay in a rustic, but comfortable log cabin, in the Maine woods, a five minute walk from a wild, rocky beach, the Americana is the place for you. We have a weekly 10% discount, a 2 night minimum stay ( off peak season) , and a very low $75 cleaning fee! It is 6 miles to the town of Lubec, which is just a small historic fishing village. The Americana is all on one level and has 2 bedrooms and one full bath with a tub/ shower combination. The first bedroom has a queen bed with brand new soft mattress and the second bedroom has two soft comfy twin beds with one trundle bed as well. The cabin gets the cool breeze from the bay so we do not have air conditioning just baseboard heaters for cold mornings and nights. There is no nightlife and restaurants are limited so if you are looking to escape the big city life for a little while and connect with nature you will love it here. We have no pet fee, no weight limit, a very reasonable and flexible cancellation policy, and a low cleaning fee. All well behaved dogs welcome, up to 3 dogs per booking.We do ask that you keep your dog on a lead everywhere on the property except for the beach for their safety and out of respect for the other guests. Also do not leave your dog alone on the porch or in the cabin to bark and disturb other guests and our neighbors. Well behaved cats accepted upon request, too. Because we are pet friendly and the beach is shared you may occasionally see and hear other guests and their pets. If you are allergic or simply do not like pets our cabin would not be a good fit for you. The Americana is the first of three cabins, at the end of a long, gravel road (Lighthouse Lane) which is our private driveway. Each cabin is far enough apart and separated by trees to for privacy. To get to the beach you just follow a short path that is clearly marked to the beach. Guests staying at the last cabin are aware that they will see other guests walking the path to get to the beach. The location of the cabin is close to the end of the North Lubec peninsula and feels very remote. Reserve the perfect dates for next summer, now, because it fills up quickly with repeat guests. The Americana has 200mbps high speed internet and a smart tv with basic cable package. Bring your paddle board or use our kayaks and explore the shoreline. To use our kayaks you must sign the waiver form in the welcome book. It is a short walk slightly downhill to the beach then back uphill when you are done so it is not suitable to bring your heavy kayaks. From the picnic table, at the beach, you will enjoy views of Moose Island, and beautiful Cobscook Bay. There are some nice hiking trails on North Lubec Road for you to explore. The Quoddy head lighthouse state park is only a 9.7-mile drive from the cabin. You can go on a whale watching tour (tours run from June to mid-September) from Lubec. On the tour you will see seals, eagles, and whales if you are lucky. Even if you don't see a whale the tour of the coast lines of neighboring islands is breathtaking. This cabin is a fully functional home with a full kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, 1 full bath tub shower combo, and 2 bedrooms,one queen bed, 2 twin beds with a trundle, as well as basic cable TV and WIFI. It has a small open concept kitchen, dining, and living room, as well as a screened porch for enjoying the breeze in the evening . Outdoor chairs, small propane grill, and a stone fire pit, are provided. This is not a beach for swimming. The current is too strong and the water is always too cold. No smoking and please return all TV equipment to its original settings if you make any changes.

The cabin is near the end of the North Lubec peninsula, so the location feels very remote, but is only 6 miles from the town of Lubec. Lubec is paradise for nature lovers, but the restaurants are limited and close early and there is no night life because it is just a small, historic fishing village. The Lighthouse cabin is located about a quarter of a mile off of North Lubec Road down a long gravel road (Lighthouse Lane). The Lighthouse cabin is the 2nd, of 3 cabins, with a little stone bridge out front. The cabin is clean and comfortable and is surrounded by tall trees and birds. Bring your paddle board or use our kayaks and explore the bay. To use our kayaks you must sign the waiver form in the welcome book. There is a kayak rack at the beach, but the beach is slightly downhill from the cabin and so is not ideal if you bring heavy kayaks. The cabin shares access to a quiet beach with two other log cabins. The cabins have trees separating them for privacy. Just follow a short path that start right off from the back porch to get to the beach and the kayak rack. Guests staying at the last cabin are aware that guests from the other cabins will be walking the path to get to the beach. This cabin gets its name from the Quoddy Head lighthouse that is a 9.7 mile drive away. Quoddy head's coast guard hiking trails are not to be missed, and other short hiking trails and picnic areas are 10 minutes away on North Lubec Road. We highly recommend the Down East Charters whale watching tours (they run from mid-June too mid-September) from Lubec, the guide is knowledgeable and funny and touring the coastlines of neighboring islands is breathtaking. The Lighthouse log cabin is all on one level and has 2 bedrooms and a small open concept kitchen with a dishwasher, a table, and a small living room space. The screened porch is great for enjoying the cool, salty, breeze and the sound of birds and the tide coming in. There is a washer and dryer and a full bath with a tub shower combo. The Mainley log cabin is our magical escape from the summer heat and traffic at home. We do share it for a few months out of the year because it is too good not to share! We have filled it with local art, and vintage treasures that capture the spirit of the bold coast. You will have to look a long time to find another coastal property as well maintained and comfortable at this price! We just had a beautiful new deck built in April 2025 that looks out over the bay. We have no pet fee, a 10% weekly discount, a 2 night minimum stay for off peak season, and the cleaning fee is very low at $100. The Mainley is a true log cabin, rustic, but very comfortable with an elevated view of Cobscook bay and Moose Island. It is perfect for nature loving couples or families of 4, with a king bed in the loft , 2 single beds in the downstairs bedroom, and one full bath with a walk in shower . The cabin is right on the water and gets the cool breeze from the bay so there is no air conditioning just the oil furnace for the chilly mornings and nights. If you are looking to escape the big city life for a little while and connect with nature you will love it here. No pet fee, no weight limit on dogs. We do insist that you have your dogs on a lead everywhere on the property except for the beach because we have porcupine and coyotes in the area. Also please do not leave your dogs alone on the porch or in the cabin to bark and disturb our neighbors. We have a very reasonable and flexible cancellation policy because we understand that sometimes things come up and we make exceptions for health & family issues and weather. We have large dogs, so we understand the frustration of not being able to find accommodations that allow dogs over 80 pounds. All well behaved dogs welcome, up to 3 dogs per booking. We accept well behaved cats upon request as well. Our cabin is furnished with big dogs in mind. It is unreasonable to ask that your dog stay off of the furniture, so we have sturdy, covered, easily cleaned furnishings. We fell in love with the massive Lubec tides, the water birds, and all of the wildflowers here and we are sure you will, too! Reserve the perfect dates for next summer now because the calendar fills up quickly with returning guests. A recent guest described the Mainley best by saying " if you want a Disney type vacation this is not for you, but if you want to commune with nature in a relaxing clutter free space this is perfect." The cabin is at the end of a long gravel driveway and is about a quarter of a mile off of North Lubec Road. It is located close to the end of the North Lubec peninsula. The location feels very remote and is surrounded by thick forest, but it is only 6 miles to the town of Lubec. Lubec is a nature lovers paradise, but the restaurants are limited, close early, and there is no night life. Summer activities shut down at the end of September, but the natural beauty of the area is still amazing. The beach is downhill from the cabin and the short walk may be difficult to navigate for older guests even though we have a wide paved path. The Mainley shares a secluded beach with 2 smaller cabins. The cabins are far enough apart with trees between them to maintain some privacy. Our cabins are pet friendly so you may see or hear another guests pets on the beach. If you are allergic or simply do not like pets our cabin will not be a good fit for you. The Mainley cabin has an open concept main floor with 20-foot ceilings, wood burning fireplace, large deck, screened porch, a smart TV with Spectrum basic cable, 200Mbps high speed internet and WIFI. Our cabin is a clean, rustic, but comfortable, place to relax and read a book (we have lots of them) or just enjoy the view and the sound of the tide coming in. Watch the rise and fall of the massive, 20 plus foot tides, from the elevated deck that runs the length of the house. Bring your paddle board or use our kayaks and explore the bay. To use our kayaks you must sign the waiver form in the welcome book. Walk on the rocky, beach in front of the cabin, and watch eagles, gulls, and seals. We highly recommend the whale watching tours with Down East Charters, that runs from June too mid-September, from Lubec. The guide is funny, well informed, and touring the coast lines of neighboring islands is breathtaking. This home is equipped with everything that you need for relaxing getaway. The kitchen has plenty of counter space to prepare fresh seafood, while the easy-to-use appliances and lots of cooking equipment make vacation cooking easy. Plenty of outdoor chairs to enjoy the view and a screened porch for relaxing without the bugs. To use our exercise equipment you must sign the waiver form in the welcome book. With all of the wonderful hiking trails in the area and the kayaks you will not need exercise equipment! This is not a suitable beach for swimming because current is too strong and the water is always too cold. No smoking and please return all TV equipment to its original settings if you make any changes.

- "Laura’s place is beautiful. As a construction/renovation person, I appreciated the great mix of old and new in addition to the plethora of amenities offered. It’s by far the best you’ll find in Eastport-clean, spacious, bright, right in the downtown mix and has wonderful views of the water across to Canada. Also, the hot water is actually hot so baths are nice and the bed is very soft. Being above her wine bar doesn’t hurt (which is also lovely). As others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs and they are quite steep, so if that’s an issue for you, walk slowly…it’s still worth the trip up there. The only helpful tip I can provide is that there are no blinds or curtains on any of the amazing windows, so if you need dark to sleep (like me), make sure to bring an eye pillow and you’ll be just fine. That whole waking up to the sunrise thing is lost on me. If I ever returned to Eastport, I’d make sure to do it at a time when this place is available because after staying here, I can only imagine how disappointing any other accommodation would be."

On an August weekend, we were expecting to face more "activity" in town. We were glad not to. This comfy VRBO property is a very short walk from Water Street, Eastport's "main drag" (although it is only about four blocks long). The apartment is clean, well appointed, feels "fresh," and is decorated tastefully. We felt welcome and comfortable as soon as we arrived. The owners were quick and helpful with communication, and made a good dinner recommendation when we arrived later than expected the first evening. Clothes dryer apparently broke quite recently, and is to be replaced soon. We had a few issues figuring out how to lock and unlock the front door, and it is evident that others have had similar difficulties, as the door knob mechanism is a little loose from people pulling on it. If those are your only concerns and you had a wonderful three night stay, as far as we are concerned, you had a five-star experience!"

The apartment is located in a quiet, beautiful country setting just a few miles from Eastport. It is the perfect location for exploring Eastport and the surrounding area (e.g., Campobello, St. Andrews, and the art gallies and great restaurants in Eastport). The apartment is spacious, well appointed, and sparkles like new. It was hard to choose between relaxing on the front or back deck (each has multiple lounging chairs and a gathering table). The front deck has an excellent water view and the back deck overlooks a very large, well kept, property. The setting is so relaxing, quiet and beautiful (inside and out). - "Charming little home with stunning views and easy beach access—perfect for a quiet retreat. The space is small but comfortable and thoughtfully uncluttered. We especially appreciated that there were no strong fragrances—everything felt fresh and clean without being overwhelming.The home technically sleeps five, but the living room is better suited for two to three people. The TV is large, though only two seats offer a great viewing angle. The sun porch was our favorite hangout spot, with comfy furniture and room for five.The kitchen had just enough for simple meals—minimal pots and pans, but functional. Beds were comfortable, linens were high quality, and while the blankets were a bit stiff, we brought extras from home. The bathroom was very clean and seemed recently updated, with soft, new towels. Having a washer and dryer was a big bonus.The host was incredibly responsive and kind. A couple of items listed were missing on arrival, but they quickly delivered what we needed—even purchasing new ones, which we really appreciated.We loved clamming at low tide, watching wildlife, and exploring nearby small towns and trails. - "The property lies on a hillside overlooking the bay and the house is decorated very bright and warm! Excellent place!" - "Very clean and well maintained property! Will be returning for a more extended stay!" - "The cottage is in the middle of the very quiet Rossport island sanctuary on the bay with a view of a small island with nesting seabirds. There is a small trail around the property and a pond with waterlilies. I even came across an adolescent bald eagle that seemed to be fishing in the pond... Really a special, quiet getaway. The kitchen was brand new and HUGE and the coffee and eggs were a nice touch. Lots of activities in Eastport to keep us entertained, including whalewatching, excellent affordable restaurants and beautiful architecture. Even in the dead of summer the weather was very comfortable here on the bay. By design there is limited or no cell service, no phone, no internet at the cabin and no TV, although we did get a Verizon data card to work just fine by placing it by the window. There is wireless internet and laundry facilities at the large barn/main office on the property, which is a short walk away."

The home was just remodeled, opening up the interior so it is now light filled with ocean views from all the public spaces. Filled with a mix of antiques and contemporary art, we want you to have a comfortable stay in our family home. All new kitchen appliances including ice maker, washer and dryer in the hall. Small bathroom with corner shower. Both bedrooms have queen beds and plenty of storage. The furniture is from the owners families summer cottages in Maine and Massachusetts, as well as antiques they collected during their travels.

Downtown Eastport Maine is a 5 minute walk down Water Street, where you can shop, eat, and explore the easternmost city of the United States. Take a quick drive to Shackford Head State Park for a walk or light hike. Visit Lubec, ME, the easternmost town in the United States, and explore West Quoddy Head State Park, the easternmost point of the United States. In the other direction is Calais, ME, on the border of St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Don't forget to bring your passport and explore the beautiful places over the border!

DIRECTIONS: Your GPS will get you close… As you come up Water Street from town, Third Street will be on the right and 100 feet further Eagle St will be on the left. It appears to be a driveway with the only marking being a pile of railroad ties defining the corner. We promise that is it- in true New England fashion the snow plow took out the street sign years ago and it never got replaced! Proceed down the street and you will see the ocean straight ahead and the cottage on the left. Eagles Bluff doesn’t have any designated parking spots due to it’s location at the head of a street. If you need to quickly load or unload your vehicle you may park your car in front of the cottage for for a maximum of 15 minutes. There is plenty of free parking up on Water Street. Please do not leave your car on Eagle Street- it is technically a public right of way and it ruins our behind neighbors view along with blocking potential emergency vehicles! Eagles Bluff Cottage was built at the turn of the century to house sardine factory workers as the population of Eastport was exploding to serve this industry. Eagle street itself was put in 1904 to serve the largest sardine factory in America at the time, all that is left is the pilings you see out in the water in front of the house, though the walls and floors of the house were insulated with cardboard boxes from the factory and we have saved some and framed them at the house. The weird thing though is that this isn’t the original house that was built at 1 Eagle Street, we have aerial photos from WWII era and a different cottage is here. We can only surmise that this house was moved onto this lot when something happened to the original home. We know that the cottage is old, both due to the original cardboard boxes as insulation and from the fact that all the framing materials were reused from earlier structures- all the ceiling rafters used to be roof rafters for instance. Some of the main beams in the basement have fire damage which makes me think they may have come from the great fire of 1886

Eagles Bluff is a high bluff just south of the main business district overlooking Quoddy Cove and Campobello Island to the east and Shackford Cove to the South. Located at the end of a dirt road off Water Street the cottage feels completely private while being a short walk to all the shops and restaurants, as well as the walking trail and the wildlife areas (the walking trail is at the base of the bluff, it is the former rail bed that tied the canneries to the mainland)

Nestled in the heart of Downeast Maine, our cottages are a peaceful retreat. Our 7 cottages, along with our house, are located on the same large property in Edmunds Twp, Maine, United States. The cottages are in a wooded area with privacy maintained for each.

Originally built in 1942, with additions in the early 50's, this split-level log cottage features a vaulted ceiling with a field-stone fireplace as well as a woodstove and monitor heater. Complimentary firewood is provided in an outdoor woodshed. The cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room on one level and up 3 steps is a bathroom with shower and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed (new in 2024), and one has 2 twin beds. Linens and towels are provided. The large, screened porch overlooks the river. This cottage is very private, nestled in the woods on the bank of the river beyond Cottage #1. There is an outdoor charcoal grill and picnic table. Free WiFi is included, though may be limited at times.

Edmunds Township is in a very rural area within 30 minutes of a variety of coastal towns and activities. The property boasts a man-made pond and the Dennys River. We are also only a few hundred yards from the Sunrise Trail.

The closest stores are in Pembroke, a 6-mile drive. There is a Dollar General and a Freshies. These have some groceries and takeout options. The closest sit-down restaurant is 12 miles from us in Perry, but most are located in the towns of Machis, Calais, Eastport and Lubec which are a 20 to 30-mile drive. Many restaurants and stores close early here, so it's best to call ahead for hours if you are planning a later arrival.

All of the cottages have a kitchen so cooking for yourself is a money-saving option. Coming from the north, the last stop for groceries is Calais and coming from the south, the last stop for groceries is Machias. Both are about 25 miles from us. There are also grocery stores in Eastport and Lubec which are just over 20 miles.

- "I was pleased with the property and hosts. The property is quiet and comfortable. The porch overlooking the river is fantastic. The problem came during and after check out. Our host said I was only registered for 1 adult 2 kids. I had reservations for 5 adults (2weee teens). Later she emailed me saying that because I was only registered for 2 she was charging my card an extra fee. Sure enough when I checked my card was charged again. I didn’t mind paying for the extra. I really had thought I was registered for 5. The host handle the situation well. I didn’t like that my card could be charged again after check out. "
