See Eastport at its best, as you look out the window from this beautiful 2 bedroom 2nd story apartment right on Eastport Harbor, located right in the center of downtown. You can watch fishing and lobster boats coming and going all day long, untying and heading out to fish, returning, tying up, unloading their catch. Sit on your deck and enjoy the beautiful Canadian Islands like Deer Island & Campobello Island-home of Roosevelt International Park. This brand new apartment has full kitchen with all new appliances and water views from almost all windows. Has living room with HDTV/dvd/cable/internet. Has outdoor deck facing water. Has full bathroom with tub/shower. Two bedrooms have one full-size bed and one queen-size bed, with views down Water Street, the main street in Eastport. Walk downstairs to the first floor to see fine art at the Eastport Gallery. This is the BEST LOCATION in Eastport!
- "Comfy, well-equipped rental just steps away from all that is happening downtown!" - "Beautiful, bright apartment. Perfect location overlooking the working harbor. In town within walking distance of everything. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. Perfect." - "We enjoyed our stay at Harborside apartment and appreciated the welcome gifts and the attention to detail of thoughtful things that were provided. The location was quiet and yet we were able to enjoy the local activities on the dock and in town. Our only suggestion is that renters should know that the closest laundromat is 28 miles away., and that is what is meant by a coin operated washing machine in the listing. We would recommend this VRBO property."

The historic Corthell & Gardner building, overlooks Passamaquoddy Bay, the island of Campobello and Eastport's working waterfront. The Crow's Nest is an 1150sf loft embracing the building's history and designed for comfort and luxury. Watch for whales, loons, harbor seals and our lobster fleet from the privacy of your own deck in the United States' Easternmost City. Run down to the first floor for a craft beer from Horn Run Brewing or a glass of great wine at Phoenix Fine Wines. Perfect for artists, writers and couples looking for a romantic getaway. The Crow's Nest is a third floor loft and requires working knees and hips! The Crow's Nest can sleep four with a pullout couch but is genuinely most appropriate for singles or a couple.
- "Laura’s place is beautiful. As a construction/renovation person, I appreciated the great mix of old and new in addition to the plethora of amenities offered. It’s by far the best you’ll find in Eastport-clean, spacious, bright, right in the downtown mix and has wonderful views of the water across to Canada. Also, the hot water is actually hot so baths are nice and the bed is very soft. Being above her wine bar doesn’t hurt (which is also lovely). As others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs and they are quite steep, so if that’s an issue for you, walk slowly…it’s still worth the trip up there. The only helpful tip I can provide is that there are no blinds or curtains on any of the amazing windows, so if you need dark to sleep (like me), make sure to bring an eye pillow and you’ll be just fine. That whole waking up to the sunrise thing is lost on me. If I ever returned to Eastport, I’d make sure to do it at a time when this place is available because after staying here, I can only imagine how disappointing any other accommodation would be."

Bright, spacious, updated stylish, 2 br, 2 ba, ground level apartment. Water views, walk to everything. Complete kitchen, dining room, 2 decks, hot tub, washer, dryer, cable, wifi, Sonos.
Eastport is the easternmost city in the U.S. The downtown Historic District will take you back in time, with intriguing shops, galleries, restaurants, and brewery. From the waterfront walking trail, you can see the Canadian island of Campobello across the channel, and Roosevelt Campobello International Park.
Old Sow Whirlpool, the largest tidal whirlpool in the Western Hemisphere, sits on the international boundary between Eastport and Deer Island and often can be seen from the deck.
- "We enjoyed our time here, lots of room to relax &b walking distance to town." - "We so enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Located on a quiet street, yet close to town and with a lovely view of the water, it had everything we needed. Eating meals on the deck while enjoying the sunshine, cool breeze and the stunning view was a highlight. We only wish we could have stayed longer!" - "Quiet location in Eastport, in an older but nicely renovated property. Three coffee prep options for the coffee lover. Well appointed kitchen that lacked nothing that we required. Downtown shops and restaurant are a walk of about 6/10's of a mile. Clean and tidy. Only thing I'd alter would be one or two of the pillows, which I found to be on the thick side, which might be a challenge for an older adult with neck issues. Better still, are you driving? Bring your own!"

Experience what authentic coastal living is really like in Downeast Maine's quaint Eastport downtown village.
Located right in the heart of activity in Eastport, this beautiful 2 BR loft provides an opportunity to observe and experience what authentic coastal living in Maine is really like.
This is not Bar Harbor. Eastport is a community surrounded by water, totally off the grid, at the end of the road that is as far North and East as you can possibly travel in the USA.
Not only is Eastport an incredibly friendly city, but it also has a busy working waterfront. And staying in the downtown provides everything you need while still being surrounded by all the beauty of this coastal area.
This 2 bedroom condo is just about dead center on the downtown strip in the historic Downtown Eastport strip. The kitchen has the main prep area under a large stretch of windows to watch the working waterfront while cooking or cleaning. All the details carefully planned out down to the walk-in shower, the original hardwood floors in the bedrooms, and outdoor grilling and seating area with soft evening lighting!
No car needed. You are in the heart of the town with: restaurants, micro brewery, coffee shops, galleries, art center, outside activities and performances, pier fishing, whale watching, and fishing trips, relaxing walks along the water in the early AM for the first sunrise to touch the USA or a peaceful evening stroll to enjoy the weekly outdoor movie and music performances, or perhaps just a walk to a local pub or restaurant. Phoenix Fine Wines and Horn Run brew pub are just across the street. Full Fathom Five, a fine art gallery, is located below this unit. They carry all mediums of art from local artists
What are some things to do nearby? There is a ferry in Eastport that takes passengers and bikes to Lubec to check out the town. There is also an opportunity for fishing charters, whale watching trips, or experience how a lobsterman pulls traps.
There is also a very vibrant art culture with a lot of talented local artists displaying in numerous galleries in Eastport. Full Fathom Five, a fine art gallery, is in the building below this rental unit and can provide any assistance you need. You can contact them for more information: call or text. 207-214-6818
There is another 3 br loft rental located in this building. We ask guests to be courteous to other guests quiet, relaxing, vacations.
- "We loved this place! You can tell it was designed by an artist, Greg the owner who has a gallery downstairs. It’s beautifully appointed and decorated with his own art. I agree with the reviewer who said it looks like a spread for a high-end magazine. There are two living-room spaces, one with a television, both furnished with comfy sofas and chairs. Lots of light for reading. A second TV in the master bedroom. The kitchen is unusually well-equipped and even stocked with spices. You could do some serious cooking here. Or just relaxing. We travel a lot, and this is one of the best places we’ve ever rented."

Small View is a charming little home tucked away on a quiet street one block from downtown Eastport. Equipped with everything you need to make yourself at home. Bedroom has a queen bed, living room has a pull out sofa for extra guests. This bright and cheerful home is just a short walk to restaurants, gallery's, shops, the arts center, and the pier.
- "Our rental was homey, welcoming, and well equipped! Easy walking to shops and restaurants! Shop owners, wait staff, town people, all friendly, informative and fun! An over all delightful experience, can’t wait to return! THANK YOU!" - "Good location, clean and the stay was very enjoyable. Would definitely stay there again." - "Visiting Eastport for the first time, for parts of three nights, including a day-visit to St. Andrews in New Brunswick (bring your passport!) and another day visit to Lubec, ME and West Quoddy Head lighthouse. This is a beautiful area. NB: Be careful on your phone, which will toggle back and forth between Atlantic Time and Eastern Time, depending on whether it is picking up the signal from Canada or US. Eastport is a quiet town, part locals and some tourists, although we never waited for a table at a restaurant or faced a crowd anywhere. Friendly, outgoing people. On an August weekend, we were expecting to face more "activity" in town. We were glad not to. This comfy VRBO property is a very short walk from Water Street, Eastport's "main drag" (although it is only about four blocks long). The apartment is clean, well appointed, feels "fresh," and is decorated tastefully. We felt welcome and comfortable as soon as we arrived. The owners were quick and helpful with communication, and made a good dinner recommendation when we arrived later than expected the first evening. Clothes dryer apparently broke quite recently, and is to be replaced soon. We had a few issues figuring out how to lock and unlock the front door, and it is evident that others have had similar difficulties, as the door knob mechanism is a little loose from people pulling on it. If those are your only concerns and you had a wonderful three night stay, as far as we are concerned, you had a five-star experience!"

The apartment is located in a quiet, beautiful country setting just a few miles from Eastport. It is the perfect location for exploring Eastport and the surrounding area (e.g., Campobello, St. Andrews, and the art gallies and great restaurants in Eastport). The apartment is spacious, well appointed, and sparkles like new. It was hard to choose between relaxing on the front or back deck (each has multiple lounging chairs and a gathering table). The front deck has an excellent water view and the back deck overlooks a very large, well kept, property. The setting is so relaxing, quiet and beautiful (inside and out). Downtown Eastport Maine is a 5 minute walk down Water Street, where you can shop, eat, and explore the easternmost city of the United States. Take a quick drive to Shackford Head State Park for a walk or light hike. Visit Lubec, ME, the easternmost town in the United States, and explore West Quoddy Head State Park, the easternmost point of the United States. In the other direction is Calais, ME, on the border of St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Don't forget to bring your passport and explore the beautiful places over the border!
I am here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival.
I'm only a phone call/message away should you have any questions (regarding the property or the best place to go for dinner.)
DIRECTIONS: Your GPS will get you close… As you come up Water Street from town, Third Street will be on the right and 100 feet further Eagle St will be on the left. It appears to be a driveway with the only marking being a pile of railroad ties defining the corner. We promise that is it- in true New England fashion the snow plow took out the street sign years ago and it never got replaced! Proceed down the street and you will see the ocean straight ahead and the cottage on the left. Eagles Bluff doesn’t have any designated parking spots due to it’s location at the head of a street. If you need to quickly load or unload your vehicle you may park your car in front of the cottage for for a maximum of 15 minutes. There is plenty of free parking up on Water Street. Please do not leave your car on Eagle Street- it is technically a public right of way and it ruins our behind neighbors view along with blocking potential emergency vehicles! Thank you for your understanding!
Eagles Bluff Cottage is dog friendly only! Please bring 2 dogs maximum for your stay!
Eagles Bluff Cottage was built at the turn of the century to house sardine factory workers as the population of Eastport was exploding to serve this industry. Eagle street itself was put in 1904 to serve the largest sardine factory in America at the time, all that is left is the pilings you see out in the water in front of the house, though the walls and floors of the house were insulated with cardboard boxes from the factory and we have saved some and framed them at the house. The weird thing though is that this isn’t the original house that was built at 1 Eagle Street, we have aerial photos from WWII era and a different cottage is here. We can only surmise that this house was moved onto this lot when something happened to the original home. We know that the cottage is old, both due to the original cardboard boxes as insulation and from the fact that all the framing materials were reused from earlier structures- all the ceiling rafters used to be roof rafters for instance. Some of the main beams in the basement have fire damage which makes me think they may have come from the great fire of 1886
Eagles Bluff is a high bluff just south of the main business district overlooking Quoddy Cove and Campobello Island to the east and Shackford Cove to the South. Located at the end of a dirt road off Water Street the cottage feels completely private while being a short walk to all the shops and restaurants, as well as the walking trail and the wildlife areas (the walking trail is at the base of the bluff, it is the former rail bed that tied the canneries to the mainland)

Welcome to Capen Cottage, a cozy retreat tucked away on a quiet street just minutes from downtown Eastport. Explore unique shops, galleries, and waterfront dining, then relax in a bright, comfortable space designed for unwinding. The cottage offers all the essentials for a peaceful and memorable stay, whether you’re here for a weekend escape or a longer adventure in the easternmost city of the United States!
- "We spent three nights at Cozy Capen Cottage and it was such a pleasure! This little house is conveniently located close to downtown—a 3-minute drive or, perhaps, a 10-minute walk. The cottage was absolutely immaculate. All supplies are provided, with an abundance of soft towels and washcloths in the bathroom; a Keurig coffeemaker, KitchenAid mixer, blender, and all the knives and kitchen utensils one could possibly hope for in the kitchen; and lucious, white 100% cotton sheets and pillowcases and warm, cozy comforters in the bedrooms. The landscaping is lovely, reflecting the hard work of the gracious owner. And the backyard fire pit, surrounded by six comfy Adirondack-style chairs, comes with a more-than-ample supply of wood and kindling.Highly recommended!"

New cottage open for 2024!! Shackford Cove Cottage is a charming cottage with the best view of Shackford Cove in Eastport! It features a relaxing entertaining space on the first floor and two bedrooms and a bath on the second. It was built as a sardine workers' housing dating to the turn of the last century. Converted to a vacation home thirty years ago, it was just updated to make a comfortable vacation home for your stay.
Shackford Cove Cottage features unmatched views of Shackford Cove, with an ever changing view from deep water to just a trickle, always teaming with shore birds and the wrecks of ships from when Shackford Cove was home to four shipyards!
The home is one open space on the first floor, with glass sliding doors facing the deck with Shackford Cove beyond. The kitchen is fully furnished with a large fridge, gas stove, lots of cookware, and handmaid pine cabinets. The second floor is accessed by a steep, low ceilinged staircase typical for this era of home, but has two large, bright bedrooms for you to enjoy. The larger bedroom has been called the ‘captains Quarters’ since its inception, with a brand new queen bed, a nice sized storage closet, bureau, and a vintage rocking chair. The secondary bedroom pays homage to the previous owner with his collection of birding photographs as well as his photographs of Eastport from a decade ago. It has a queen bed with a memory foam mattress and several wall hooks for hanging. The upstairs bath is tucked in under the eaves with a tub shower combination and a small vanity as well as several storage cabinets.
The home has a propane heater on the first floor, an electric radiator in the bathroom, as well as two space heaters in the bedrooms. There are stand fans as well for the occasional warm day! There is no air conditioning.
This listing is only for the Shackford Cove Cottage by the water. The Shackford House directly on Water St. is a separate home and not available for guests.
You'll love staying at Shackford Cove Cottage because it's less than a 5-minute walk from downtown Eastport! You can easily explore the charming shops on Water St check out the amazing galleries, and grab a delicious bite to eat. It's the perfect location!
Parking is provided by taking the driveway between 9 Water Street and 11 Water Street / Crow Tracks all the way to the back where you will see a shingled cottage. This is a NARROW driveway but easily fits a standard size vehicle but an overly large SUV or RV would have to park on Water Street. If you do need to park a larger vehicle let us know and we can arrange with the owner of the front house for you to park in their space in front of the house and they will park in the driveway.
Airbnb has some restrictions, so we can't list the cottage as 9.5 Water St as it’s actually tucked behind 9 Water St. and offers a breathtaking view of Shackford Cove. The Shackford House is not available, but you can easily find your way to Shackford Cove Cottage through the very short path to the side of the house. It's a hidden gem that you won't want to miss! Especially with those views!
- "Property was beautiful" - "My husband and I, along with our two dogs, stayed for a couple nights in this adorable cottage. It has a spectacular view and sits right on the water. It is so quiet and serene, and you can walk around the neighborhood or downtown so easily. The kitchen is better than expected with updated appliances, and just about everything you need to make a nice meal (and a good amount of counter space). The cottage is well furnished inside and out with plenty of places to sit, and all choices are comfortable! I will 100% recommend this place to anyone headed this way. Things to keep in mind: -The parking situation is super tight, it is between two buildings, I don't recommend bringing too large of a vehicle. Or multiple vehicles depending on the size. -The bedrooms and bathroom are on the second floor (for anyone with trouble climbing stairs). Thank you, Mia. We truly appreciate the accommodations! "

- "This was a terrific get away! At first we weren’t sure when our requested cabin suddenly was not available, but, wow, it was so peacefully awesome. I didn’t want to leave and go back to reality! Thanks Ross and Butch for the accommodations! Our only suggestions would be to provide hair dryer/shampoo & firewood at the cabin. Thanks so much! We hope to bring our family back one day soon!" - "Ross was an awesome host. Property was well appointed. Wildlife out in the bay as well as eagles and deer sightings close to our home away at Rossport! Close to all we needed. Local whale watching cruise by Windjammers ...incredible. We would highly recommend Rossport!"

- "The only issues I had Was when I got to my cabin the bed had not been made and the trash was not empty from the people before so we had to go to the red barn wash our bedding before we could sleep that night. Also the ad said 1 bedroom 1 bathroom there was no bathroom in the cabin it was in the red barn"
