- "We loved our stay here! We are completely charmed by the natural beauty of the location. The owner Lindsay is dedicated to preserving the native flora of the property's meadow, forest, and cove. We delighted in the cove's low and high tide's changing landscape and fauna. Lindsay was a wonderful and gracious host, who was responsive to our little family's needs. Our only regret was not staying longer. " - "It was an enchanted week’s stay on this breathtaking property."

Beautiful quiet cottage in the woods. Great place to get away from the cares of the world. Comfortable family get-away. Outstanding reviews from all our guests.
Two of you can stay here on one level from your car door to the main floor or the deck. The first floor has a queen bedroom and full bath. Climb the stairway to the loft and two more can join you with twin beds and a half bath.
The open kitchen and dining area is fully equipped, the living room is comfortable and its all bright and new. Rocking chairs, peace and quiet, and an unsurpassed view invite you.
If you bring your kayak and want access to the water, we've provided a trail to the pocket beach on the cove below. Or, brave the cold and take a swim in our invigorating water.
We built this cottage with modern comforts so that our friends can come and enjoy the quiet of Webb Cove. Even your dog will be happy here!
- "This was our 3rd visit to Carolyn and David's cottage. As soon as we turned onto W. Spruce Harbor Rd we could feel life's stresses melt away. This visit was as wonderful as our previous stays, thanks to Carolyn and David's hospitality. We wanted for nothing - except maybe some sunshine but even with the rainy, foggy days we made the most of it - visiting places we were saving for rainy days that hadn't come in the past. On the one day of sun we accomplished a long held bucket list item - kayaking to Isle au Haut! The islands in between are magical - like we imagine the Caribbean to be like. Thank you Carolyn, David, and sweet Daisy for having us back. We look forward to returning next year!"

A peaceful cabin in the woods for your family to get away from the cares of the world. The reviews from all of our guests are outstanding, and you too will enjoy sitting on the deck and relaxing, or walking through the woods or exploring the shore and swimming in Maines famous chilly water!. It is all new with new furniture, beds, kitchen, bath, bedding and much more. The cabin has a bedroom and sleeping loft upstairs. The main floor has a well equipped open kitchen with dining area. The living room is spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of fields and trees, with a distant view of the water in the background. The bathroom is located on the first floor next to the stairs to the bedroom and sleeping loft. A large porch with chairs ensures a peaceful and quiet stay.
A path down the gravel drive takes you across the brook and down to a set of stairs and our own private beach. The view is beautiful and the water is refreshingly invigorating!
The cabin is located a short walk from our cottage listed as #501514, in case you want to bring more friends or family.
A very comfortable and quiet getaway. Even your dog will be happy.
- "This is our third stay. We love this spot. The property is clean, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped in LL Bean style with touches such as muffin tins and pie plates to bake blueberry pies! There is a beautiful private beach with steep stairs for access. You might be tempted to never leave the cabin. Our hosts were helpful and attentive to our needs but respected our privacy." - "We have stayed here for several years and i plan to stay here for many years to come. David and Carolyn have created that oasis that each of us needs for vacation. They have provided for our every need. Even during the days it rained, it still felt as if we had our own woodland paradise. We are always greeted by the owners. There is so much to do on and off the island. The island community provides a wonderful Independence day celebration. The parades, community events and the glorious fireworks over the harbor are always our favorite. You will never run out of great places to eat and if you choose to stay in you will have everything you need to enjoy the Maine experience."

Relax literally cove side in this adorable and cozy cottage with close up views of Stonington Harbor, distant islands, and the active harbor vista of lobster boats, schooners and kayakers just outside your windows. The cottage interior offers a light-filled, open plan with beamed cathedral ceilings adding to a spacious feel. The simple yet well equipped kitchen opens to the living/dining area. The bedroom (queen bed) is off the living room (additional LR queen sleeper sofa, too). The bathroom has a spacious walk in shower. The cottage is water facing on two sides, and nice grassy yard and stone patio. Including the lot above, the setting provides one of the larger intown, waterfront properties on Stonington Harbor, with incredible views, and ample parking, too. A small footbridge crosses to the owner's adjacent property (Vrbo 30315) with easy access to kayaks and shorefront. With the harbor and array of nearby islands to explore, this property offers exceptional kayaking. Note: While there is an added sleeper sofa to accommodate a party of 4, the more open design of the cottage works best for 2. Likewise, there are steps leading to the cottage. Not appropriate for the infirm. Proximity to ocean and seawall makes it unsuitable for toddlers or young children.
- "Loved our stay! Cottage was adorable and right on the harbor. Beautiful views. We took a ferry ride to Isle Au Haut and rode our bikes through Acadia National Park. Downtown was adorable and had a couple wonderful dinners out. Highly recommend!" - "This is an adorable cozy cottage. It was a perfect get a way for me and my husband." - "The cottage was the perfect getaway for us. Barbara was very kind and accessible. The views from the cottage were wonderful and the town itself was beautiful! I would recommend this place to anyone!"

- "We had an incredible time at Heron cottage. It’s on a lovely inlet that’s perfect for kayaking. Access is about 3 hours on either side of high tide. The islands just off the coast of deer isle are beautiful to paddle to. One word: Magical Lots of hiking through forests and at the waters edge. A trip to Isle au Haut is a must. Arrive at the dock in Stonington at least an hour before departure to get a ticket. They operate on a first come first serve basis. Barbara was a great host and the next door neighbor was really welcoming and full of info about the area. We will definitely go again."

Privately situated at the end of a winding wooded lane, The Cottage is nestled at the edge of a 115 acre wooded setting, along the granite ledges of Spruce Harbor. Floor to ceiling multi-paned windows adorn the south side of the home, opening to expansive ocean views. Skylights shimmer light throughout this open and airy post and beam cottage. The rustic decor and simplicity of design provide a soothing and relaxing ambiance. A corner wood stove warms the surrounding living room and kitchen, and flows to the upstairs loft, housing two sleeping areas (a queen size bed to one side, two twins to the other) separated by pull-across divider. A wrap around deck opens off the kitchen. Sit by the shade of the over-hanging branches of spruce trees, or bask in the warm sun and soft ocean breezes. Enjoy the array of sea vessels that pass through Merchants Row, once a busy seafaring lane, now quieter with passing sail boats and lobster fishermen bringing in their days' catch. Private and secluded, enjoy nature at its best. Conveniently located to Stonington Village and picturesque Stonington Harbor. Just a short drive to shops, restaurants, galleries, theater, and more!
We also have another property available for rentals located just down the trail (3 minute walk!), sleeps 8 and also has gorgeous ocean views. The listing # is 1135945. Great to rent both properties together if you have a large group of friends or family!
- "Had a great stay at this cottage near Stonington. Just a beautiful piece of property with the most amazing views of the merchant islands. The cabin itself was super cozy and had everything we needed for a wonderful week in Maine. Cabin owner was easy to communicate with and work with. Great place and will be back!" - "Thank you for sharing your families lovely cabin!" - "It was a privilege to stay in this well-loved, beautifully appointed, family cabin. The host is incredibly responsive, the property is well kept and thoughtfully furnished. It is the nicest cabin I’ve rented anywhere. The location is perfect. Access to the loft sleeping area is by a sturdy ladder - so not for everyone.. You know, there are many nice cabins on Deer Isle and I secretly hope you’ll look at them so I can continue to return to this one! 😉"

Enjoy this simple, OFF THE GRID rustic cabin that sits just 50 feet from the ocean between Burnt Cove and Crockett Cove. This private and quiet deep water setting has stunning panoramic views but is still close to the neighborhood convenience store, hardware store, gas station and village. Perfect area for writers, artists and those seeking simple living for their vacation getaway.
While there is no electricity or landline, there is a gas fridge, stove top (no oven) and lights. There are 5 propane lights in the cottage. There are solar lights upstairs in the sleeping area. A wonderful pink granite fireplace provides heat for the occasional chilly evening. Please note: Mindful use of water is important. Drinking water is available from the public spigot at nearby Burnt Cove Market. This is a one-of-a-kind Maine coast getaway in an outstanding setting.
- "The cabin is right on the ocean. It couldn't be closer. At high tide it's just a few steps from the deck onto the pink granite rocks if you like to swim or kayak. Even the beds in the loft have a view of the ocean through the top windows. I appreciate the gas lamps, which have a warm glow when cooking at night and reading. Simple, clean, beautiful. Feels like a family cabin rather than an impersonal rental. You're also only a few minutes from Aragosta at Goose Cove, the restaurant, in the next cove--you could kayak there. And a ferry ride to Isle au Haut, part of the Acadia National Park, is also a must-see. Deeply relaxing time."

Welcome to Inn on the Harbor - Stonington:
The J & E Riggins is a gorgeous 2nd-floor village street-side room perfect for two with a king bed, pull-out sofa, full bath, hairdryer, tv with cable, free wifi, microwave, small fridge, and cozy sitting area. With easy access to the 2nd-floor semi-private deck overlooking the harbor front.
In 2022, after a tough pandemic, we bumped into the opportunity to purchase this “space”. We here at Ohana Inns feel that the solace, surroundings, seabreeze, harbor, vibes, schooners, lobstering, birds and lapping waves make this one of the most beautiful places on the planet. That is what we think about this space :).
You’ll notice that each of the rooms is named after a schooner from the area. So each room is a little different in shape, size, decor, and view plane. They all share access to our centerpiece, which is the mass of deck overhanging the quintessential Maine harbor of Stonington.
We invite you, we dare you, we hope you come down and fill your cup with the Inn on the Harbor. It’s the kind of place you’ll never forget. If you are lucky enough to live within driving distance….. you’ll be back time and time again ;).
Aloha from our Ohana to yours!! We will see you soon at IOTH!
To access the property, our team will provide you with a lock code for the electronic keypad prior to your arrival.

To do your groceries, you can go to Burnt Cove Market (about 1.5 miles away) or take a short walk to the closest market (but smaller) Harbor View Store.
Please consider bringing your specialty groceries, although we feel that the Burnt Cove market does have a pretty good selection, it doesn`t have everything.

- "We loved our first trip to Maine and are so glad we stayed in Stonington away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The Mail Boat to Isle of Haut and Duck Harbor is a must." - "My wife and I had an absolutely beautiful stay at this home - one of our favorites ever. It was stocked with all necessary linen items we could need, a full kitchen, and was very clean. Every night and every morning we sat on the porch and watched the lobster boats float in and out of the water with a candle lit & beverage in hand. The beds were comfortable. House was secure and easily walkable to the quiet fishing shops and restaurants. It is worth noting that Stonington is not the typical tourist town - it’s only got a few shops and restaurants - but that’s part of what makes it so magical! As this was my first visit to Maine, I would recommend to research this VRBO location in proximity to other activities you may want to do here. For example, we drove to Bar Harbor & Acadia Park one day and it was about 1 hr 20 mins away - reasonable for a day trip! I would definitely recommend this spot to a couple looking for a romantic getaway. Thank you for this stunning property!"

- "Excellent accommodations! Very clean and an awesome view of the Harbor. I would definitely recommend to others!" - "We love staying in this picturesque location watching the boats go in and out of the busy working harbor. Can’t beat the view out the big picture window! The bed was comfy. We had an electric fp which helped on chilly days. Also being able to have our non- shedding pup with us was extra special. We’ll be back!" - "We wanted a experience on the water in a quiet community and this was it. The room was lovely and the town was charming."

Welcome to Inn on the Harbor - Stonington:
The Grace Bailey is a cozy 1st-floor room with two twin beds, a full bath, a hairdryer, a tv with cable, free wifi, a microwave, a small fridge, and perfect sitting space and a large window overlooking stunning harbor views allowing for the ultimate peaceful oceanside relaxation. It shares a semi-private deck with the Angelique (the two rooms can be joined via double lock shared door) which allows for amble sunshine and relaxing.

Our hosts were very informative & helpful. The property is located on the water, with a wonderful view of daily lobster boats, loading with bait & gas, then returning each afternoon to weigh their haul. Beautiful to see. - "We absolutely loved our stay. From the beautiful scenery to the relaxing, quiet atmosphere. Thank you for providing a place for an exhausted mom and dad to get away for a night." - "Words cannot describe what a wonderful experience we had. Stonington is a hidden gem. It is a very storied historic town full of friendly, outgoing people. Our hotel was unique in its history and quality. The facility was very clean, and comfortable with many amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the biggest amenities was the huge deck right on the water with smaller private decks for each room. The view was very beautiful, and one could feel the stress drain from their body just sitting there taking it all in. We shall return. "

Unwind in Stonington at this lovely little house perched right above the harbor. You can enjoy peaceful, forested surroundings behind you and yet be just a few minutes’ walk from the Stonington shops. The Roost captures the privacy and essence of its 1890s construction as part of the town’s quarrying history. That, combined with a newly-built, fully-equipped kitchen, laundry, bathroom with shower, wrap-around porch, ample parking, and large backyard make The Roost a great choice.
The space:
The comfortable Roost, the 135-year-old company office of Shields & Carroll Granite Co provides hillside views of nearby islands and lobster boats from porch, yard and upstairs. Inside, the tastefully redesigned dining area and living room captures the essence of the Roost's history and, in chilly weather, enjoy the cozy warmth of the gas fireplace. The adjoining fully-equipped kitchen, laundry, and bathroom provide modern convenience.
Upstairs, a comfortable bedroom with queen bed and adjoining office/sitting room with a fold-out futon provide the sleeping quarters. There are bureaus in both rooms and a closet in the bedroom.
The Roost’s wrap-around covered porch is a highlight for enjoying morning coffee and evening relaxation. The large, private backyard has scenic views of woods and shore.
Nearby, you can launch your kayak or canoe from Stonington’s public boat launch, or store it here while you are out sightseeing.
The Roost is off the street yet just a short walk down the hill to Main Street's restaurants and shops, Stonington’s busy lobster fishing fleet, the Mail Boat to Isle au Haut, and the renowned Opera House with live theater, music, and first-run movies.
Guest access:
You have the whole house. We live across the driveway.
Other things to note:
The bathroom is downstairs and bedrooms are upstairs. The office/futon is in an open room at the top of the stairs. The stairs cannot be effectively blocked off for toddlers.

Apartment 3 one-bedroom apartment in the fishing village of Stonington, Maine. Located in the heart of the village. Walk to all the things Stonington has to offer. One minute walk to 44 Coffee. Two minute walk to Isle au Haut Ferry. Watch the commercial fishing boats unload their catch. Take a ride on a charter boat to see and explore the many off-shore islands. The ferry takes you to Isle au Haut where part of Acadia National Park is located, 7 milea off shore.
Apartment number 3 is located at the back of the building, away from the street.
- "There was not many places open for business yet but we found things to do should have arrived after memorial day" - "Everything about this apartment was excellent, from the furnishings to the décor to the location. The king-size bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of floor space. It was spotlessly clean throughout and everything was in good working order. Seems like every amenity was very well thought out. I really appreciated the nicely crafted pine-paneled walls, which spanned every inch of the unit. The location, a couple minutes’ walk from both the Isle au Haut ferry and the center of the village, couldn’t have been more convenient. The apartment is tucked in a corner of the first floor of the Merchant’s Row building, providing quiet and privacy while still allowing for some pleasant exchanges with the nice folks tending the shop and gallery during business hours. I really hated to leave following my three-night stay. Hope to return in the future. My only disappointment was in having to reach out for check-in instructions the day of my arrival. Would like the communication to have been more proactive."
