- "This was a magical experience. So private, beautiful, and serene. Loved all the employees as well. This was possibly the most idyllic setting I've ever had the pleasure of staying at; the grounds around the main property are like a movie set. It was impossibly pretty, and the hiking trail they set up around the multitude of tropical plants they grow there was a lot of fun to walk. We swam in the pool where the waterfall was flowing, but the water was a little too high to try and get up underneath the falls itself. We had a wonderful night's sleep away from the bustle of town; we slept with our windows open and during the night one of the house cats decided it wanted to sleep in the bed with us, so we made a little space for our new friend. If you're looking for a unique experience in Hilo I'd highly recommend this incredible property. We only stayed one night so I can't comment on a lot of the hospitality outside of the excellent breakfast we had, but I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that it would all be equally great. "

- " It was my first time staying at the property. The shared bathroom and shared kitchen was concern at first, but I got used to after the first night. On the first night, there was another guest sleeping on the couch in the shared living room. That MF snored like a loud dying pig. The walls are not that thick and I could hear him from my room. But, liked that the room opened to the balcony. The room, Room 2, where I stayed was close to a highway so the traffic noise was bearable, but the traffic died down in the evening. The balcony also has two plastic Adirondack chairs where I sat every morning watching the sunrise, if you could look beyond the power cables that sometimes interfered with the view. The property was within 20 min of where I needed to go. There’s a McDonald’s with an all-day/all-night drive through; would get my coffee and breakfast and sit on the balcony waiting for the sunrise. It would be nice to have a Keurig that is connected to the plumbing so no need to refill. There’s also a full size fridge/freezer where you can store your leftovers."
