I arrived on January 1st New Year's Day from across the pond, England, for 3 nights, until the 4th. I was travelling to Melbourne for work. My work schedule and meetings began on the 5th January. So beforehand, I wanted to arrive a few days earlier to relax and unwind on the beach. I was actually previously booked in to a different hotel a little further along the beach. However, when I started reading all of the reviews for all of the oceanfront hotels in Melbourne, I noticed the Crowne Plaza's General Manager, Alan, replied to every single review... good, bad or indifferent. This really stood-out to me. Here is a GM who takes great pride in his work and his hotel. This hotel, because of Alan, got my vote of confidence. So, I cancelled my reservation with the previous oceanfront hotel and booked immediately with the Crown Plaza Melbourne-Oceanfront... and it was the best decision I could have made! While writing this review, I noticed I can only use 1,500 words so I will be leaving a more in-depth review elsewhere. Very quickly... - "Very nice " - "We came down for the weekend. After a 13 hour drive, we were so fortunate to be able to check-in a little early. They apologized profusely for the balconies being closed, but I chose this room for the view and it did not disappoint! They even gave us a call a couple days before our trip to let us know about the balconies being closed, which I thought was going above and beyond. The lack of balcony did not negatively impact our stay! The drinks at the bar are expensive and subpar so unless getting a beer or wine, I would pass. The pool was great and but unlike the pictures show, there is no longer a hot tub. The staff was amazing, the housekeeping was helpful and kind, the pool bar staff and breakfast staff were friendly and good natured. I would stay here again with my family in a heartbeat. Bonus: seeing a shuttle launch from the beach! Amazing. "

We met Pedro and Laura Machin, and they graciously offered to manage our property for us. We are thrilled to be able to partner with them and be included in their portfolio of properties!

Guest Access/Interaction:
Guest may gain access to the condo anytime after check-in with deadbolt code. The condo is setup completely for guest use and everything is accessible to guests with the exception of the locked hallway utility closet. You will have access to the community pool, jacuzzi and gym from sunup to sundown with the FOB hanging by the entry door. We provide self check-in so we will not meet in person unless the need arises. The listing is setup exclusively for guest use. We are just a message/call away if you need assistance or suggestions of things to do in the area!

This community is located on Eau Gallie Blvd in Indialantic Florida, nestled between the town of Indian Harbour Beach and Indialantic.
You will find yourself in a very central beach side location about 10 minute walking distance from the nearest beach (2 min drive) and 2 miles to Melbourne/EauGallie Arts Distruct (4 min drive). Shopping (Win Dixie, Walmart, Publix) are also walking distance.
Right across the street is Corey's Bagels, one of our favorite breakfast spots. Their Lox and Bagel is mouth-watering delicious.

Unlike any other ground floor condo. At Tranquil Tides you can sit on your patio and watch the waves roll in. Nothing between you and the ocean except the beach. Watch beautiful sunrises from your patio while enjoying your morning coffee or catch the moonlight dancing across the water with an evening beverage. You won't want to leave. This condo has been completely remodeled and offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms with open kitchen and living room space. Oceanview room features a king size bed, tv and private tub/shower combo. Second bedroom offers two queen beds with a tv in each room and the bathroom right next to it. The only tough decision you will have on vacation is do you swim in the heated pool or the ocean.

Some additional information:

Come January you will be staying in up to date condo complex- Pool, buildings, balconies and grounds project will be completed by December so book you 2026 dates now before prices go up.

This cottage is located in the beach community of Indialantic -- the best surf on the Florida coast! A quaint beach community with a dog beach and two public beach parks with lifeguards within one mile. Many great beach shops, restaurants, parks - a quiet but fun area safe for the whole family.

My wife and I purchased this property in 2018. We spent three months lovingly updating it with the finest in furnishings, but maintaining an intimate beach feel. This is a private retreat, DIRECTLY ON THE OCEAN, suitable for anything from a couple's romantic retreat to an entire family reunion.

You will have full private access to the entire house, back yard, deck, hot tub and tiki hut. There is another cottage on the property that is available for you to rent (sleeps 8). If you do not rent that property there may be other guests present there that will share the beach access with you.

Welcome to “Salty Dog” - named after the old sea captain, this beautiful house directly on the Atlantic Ocean is decorated throughout with a nautical theme. With the breathtaking view of the ocean out your back door you will feel as though you are actually on a ship!

Your journey begins as you drive up the private driveway lined with palm trees. A large front patio includes seating so you can enjoy the gardens. As you open the front door you enter “The Bridge” – a spacious open living room – and see the ocean in your back yard! This room features the “nautical wall” with authentic antique artifacts, including a ship's wheel recovered from a shipwreck in the Key West area. Here you can “take command” of the remote and watch your favorite programming on the 65” OLED TV with surround sound.

On the other side of the bridge is the fully equipped kitchen and dining table. The kitchen features all appliances and tools needed for full meal preparation. Ample cabinet space holds dishes for your whole crew, while the wet bar area provides more a large variety of glassware for your thirsty “mates.”

On the “starboard” side you will find the “Captain's Quarters” – a huge master bedroom befitting a captain. Your private quarters includes a Tommy Bahama plush king-size bed and private TV. Walk over to the luxurious gliders and enjoy the gorgeous ocean view out the two large picture windows. Enjoy a glass of wine, or brew yourself a Nespresso coffee in the nook. The “Porthole” provides a spacious en suite full bathroom, including an oversized walk-in shower.

Passing over to the “port” side of the house you will enter the “Gangplank”, offering a second full bathroom (the “Head”) and a full-size washer and dryer. After “walking the Gangplank” you will find yourself in the “Crow's Nest” - another large bedroom that can comfortably sleep up to seven people. A great retreat for a second couple, or for kids wanting their own place to hang out!

The back yard and beach can be accessed by two sets of large double doors in the Bridge, or the private door in the Captain's Quarters. Open these doors to experience the exquisite ocean breeze and hear the crashing waves. On the Deck you'll find plenty of seating for your whole group, as well as a new Jacuzzi hot tub that seats six. The beach shed provides beach chairs, an umbrella, beach towels, beach bag, boogie boards and a cooler, all available for your enjoyment. There are also beach lounge chairs at the tiki hut deck conveniently by the beach access for your beach pleasure.

Stroll on out to the private tiki hut, where you can sip your beverage and enjoy the surf from the comfort of the shade. You can even access Wifi from here – check the ocean tide schedule or weather to plan your beach walk – miles in either direction! For a short walk, the very popular Paradise Beach is just to our north. For a longer walk, go two miles south to find Indialantic Boardwalk and Beach. The beach in front of our house is perfect for bathing and surfing – a gradual, shallow beach with no rocks but plenty of surf!

For larger gatherings where you find yourself in need of more than one “ship”, your ship can be moored to the nearby island available on the property. “Castaway Cottage” is available on the same grounds, and can sleep an additional eight people. (Please note that if you do NOT rent Castaway Cottage then there may be other guests present in there during your stay. You will need a car. Parking is available on-site for up to four cars.

There is another cottage on the property that is available for you to rent (sleeps 8). If you do not rent that property there may be other guests present there that will share the beach access with you. There are outdoor security cameras present - no indoor cameras. Cameras do not have a view of the hot tub area.

- "This unit was Ah-mazing. This second floor corner unit had beach access that was merely steps away. The swimming pool was clean and also just steps away from the unit. A wrap around balcony was almost PERFECT. The side balcony was shaded for awhile so the "almost" is for maybe a small pop up or roll out umbrella/canopy for the direct beach front seating. Inside was just as perfect. Spacious and cozy. Beautifully decorated. Little touches of necessities well thought out. Some places we've stayed were a little overboard to the point that there was no room left to put our personal things/ preferences out in the kitchen bedrooms and bathroom. The sofa and chairs were SO SO comfortable. Being a few months post-op back surgery, hip and neck issues ... thats saying a lot. The beds were awesome. AGAIN- post-op. Walk in showers upstairs and down made easy access for ... mobility impaired. Sorry about the tiny seashells that snuck their way in. Location to the beach and area were perfect. The only down side to this place was. . ME not the unit. Having it all on one floor would have been less of a challenge but hey .. got my step therapy in. Bedside rugs would help with less sand in the bed and a chair in the master would have been helpful. A little piece of heaven in every way. I would definitely tell someone to stay there and/or go back myself. Price was a plus too. Well done!!!"

Although we take measures to keep the home pest-free, occasional encounters may occur. If needed, we can arrange additional pest services, but no refunds will be offered for such encounters.
Florida's humidity can cause the ambient temperature to feel warmer, especially during the summer. The AC unit is brand new as of 2022, and we have provided a dehumidifier in the closet for your comfort. Running all ceiling fans can also help maintain a pleasant indoor climate.

Close to Highway 95 and 528 to get to your favorite places like Disney world or Universal studios Orlando. If you like Dining you should definitely drive down to Cocoa Beach and try Florida Seafood, definitely the best ever! You will find great shopping beach side and lots of activities around as well. Famous Ron Jon's is a must see! Grocery shopping is convenient as well just 1 block across from the condo you will find Publix ! Best Grocery experience. If you are going on a cruise out of Port Canaveral then the convenience of driving North down A1A is 2 blocks a way and straight shot to the cruise terminal. I appreciate you planning your stay at my little beach condo and it is little just under 600 SF but so so shabby chic and just beachy. We could park right next to the unit, no stairs or elevators to deal with, etc. The unit also contained everything we needed for the beach—chairs, umbrella, pool noodles, even a body board for catching waves! It was clean and seemed recently updated. Kitchen was a little dark, but the rest of the unit was well lit. We hope to be able to stay here again in the future!"

Head to the beach with provided beach wagon equipped with chairs, umbrellas, and more. Check out the local Eau Gallie Arts District full of great eateries, breweries, and shops. Orlando FL is just an hour away featuring Universal Studios, Disney World, outlet shopping, and bustling nightlife.

Dogs: Dogs are allowed on the Premises with pre-approval from the host (no breed or weight restrictions).
A pet fee of $75 per dog plus a $250 refundable deposit per reservation must be paid. If any damages are found by your dog, the guest is responsible for any and all repairs. If evidence of a dog(s) is found and no dogs were approved, a $500 fee will be collected.

Cats: Sorry, we are not accepting cats at this time. If the presents of a cat are found or reported, a $500 fee will be collected.

If you happen to find damage when you arrive or if something is not working properly, please notify us as soon as possible. We promise to address the issue right away.

Tenants: The house is for use only by the contracted party and their reserved overnight guests. Events, parties, and additional persons are prohibited due to insurance, parking, and space limitations. Please do not invite other people to our home/beach. If additional persons or pets are on the property without the owner's prior approval, a $500 fee will apply and the reservation will be terminated immediately.

Smoking: No smoking indoors.

Parking: Do not park on the grass.

Pool: The pool is to be used at your own risk. All children must be supervised at all times, a child safety gate is provided and can be put up by guests at any time. The pool is shared with the other side of the duplex, please be respectful of other guests' space.

No pets allowed in the pool.

The pool is cleaned on Mondays. This pool is heated, and the heater is located on the East side of the duplex.

Dogs: YOU MUST INFORM HOSTS IF A FUR FRIEND(S) IS JOINING YOU! (DOGS ONLY)
With pre-approval, we DO allow dogs with a $75 pet fee for each pet plus a $250 refundable cleaning/repair deposit. If the home and yard are found clean and no evidence of damages, a portion will be returned to the guest. The portion kept covers extra sanitation, if extra cleaning is needed, your refund will be affected. If any damages are found by your dog, the guest is responsible for any and all repairs.

All TV’s have Roku: please use your own digital subscription to sign in, be sure to sign out before check out.

Toilets:
Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilets. This includes paper towels, personal hygiene products, diapers, pull-ups, etc. You may dispose of these items in the trash. The system is very sensitive and will back up if these items are flushed.

Cleaning:
Our home is professionally cleaned and laundered prior to every stay. As mentioned in the check-out notes, we would very much appreciate it if before leaving, you would start one full load of towels. Please do NOT wash bed linens and towels together. Bag all trash. Load and start the dishwasher. This is a huge help in the cleaning process and allows arriving guests the possibility of an earlier check-in.

Heat/Air Conditioning:
During your visit, please try to stay environmentally aware with respect to energy consumption. Please do not set the temperature lower than 73 degrees and do not leave doors or windows open with the air conditioner or heat running as this will damage the AC. If leaving the house for a few hours, please adjust the thermostat accordingly and turn off all lights. Thank you!

Refrigerator:
The refrigerator and freezer should be in perfect working condition with temperatures set properly. Please do not adjust the temperature in an attempt to make the units colder as this could damage the unit.

Supplies:
All bed linens and bath/beach towels are supplied, as well as dishes, flatware, cooking equipment, iron, hairdryers, and a coffee maker. We provide dishwashing soap/sponge, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap. Please do not use bath towels as beach towels. Beach towels are located in the closet, beach towels are in the closet. We also have a pack and play. A full propane tank is provided for the grill, if you run out, there should be a spar located in the garage. If you utilize the spar, please let us know so we can get that refilled before the next guest.

Neighbors/Noise: Please respect the neighbors and local rules. Amplified sounds (music, singing, etc) must be turned off by 10 pm.

Beach Club Condominiums! 3 blocks from the beach! This condo enjoys the on the ground floor, easy access to green space! Stroll to the pool, gym, hot tub area. Super nice community room w/ laundry facilities enjoy sitting poolside, reading a book, napping, enjoying the sun. There are many restaurants & shopping within walking distance too! Florida has a wonderful rule.. no tourist tax charged on bookings over 6 month/1 day! Taxes apply otherwise.

- "This is the second time we have stayed at this property. We love it so much. Right on the beach. Got to see 3 rocket launches from the balcony. The owner and property manager are very responsive and wonderful to work with. Will be coming back!" - "We would stay again." - "Our 6 week stay went so well. The condo was spotless when we arrived, and we found the kitchen well stocked with cooking essentials, dishes and glasses. The hosts were generous in providing us with coffee/tea, soaps, and shampoo for our first week. We especially liked using the walk-in shower, but both bathrooms are functional and have good water pressure. The king bed was very comfortable too. The air conditioner went out while we were there. I reached out to the hosts and heard back within 5 minutes. The HVAC company was immediately called and a time scheduled for the fix the following day. You can’t get better assistance than that! We spent a fair amount of time watching the ocean and space launches from our balcony. The view cannot be beat both from the living room and from the master bedroom. Our biggest decision each day was whether to have a beach day or a pool day. The heated pool was a treat, and we spent lots of time swimming in it. The other owners/renters at this location are very polite. Everyone is so respectful and helpful with each other. We were especially lucky enough to meet the hosts during our stay. They treated us like friends from the start, and gave us lots of super recommendations for places to eat dinner. We feel very lucky to have found this condo. We will be back!"
