- "This is a truly amazing resort. I loved the amazing views, mind-bending sunsets, enormously huge beachfront, endless pools and all surrounded by sort of quiet luxury. I’d give a piece of constructive feedback though. In my opinion the food at the restaurants is a bit overpriced. I mean I do get it’s a 5 star resort and that comes at a certain price-tag, but one would expect a more gourmet taste, and some of it did have it, but things like a Greek or Caesar salad that’s no different than any other tavern, but 3x more expensive, was just a bit disappointing to me. I’d just expect more gourmet taste, presentation and ingredients. Despite that, overall experience was 5/5, service, attitude and care were truly outstanding."

Well-kept holiday flat with its own entrance via an outside staircase. From the bright eat-in kitchen with windows and balcony doors, as well as from the surrounding terrace, which becomes your second living room, you can look out over the blue sea all day long and follow the passing sailing ships. The high wood-panelled ceiling gives this well-equipped holiday flat a sense of space. The bedroom and bathroom are adjacent to the living room. You can experience beautiful sunrises from the terrace of the holiday flat.
An ideal holiday home for couples or small families, for those seeking peace and quiet and for sea lovers. From the terraced property, it is approx. 100 metres down the slope to the narrow, almost private beach, which adjoins the Gargarou sandy beach to the north. After a further 500 metres, the fine Peroulia sandy beach with beach bar, sun loungers and umbrellas as well as a taverna follows seamlessly.

The nearby picturesque town of Koroni, with its beautiful harbour, tavernas and cafés, offers a nice change from the tranquil Gargarou surroundings. The towns of Pylos and Methoni on the western side of Messinia also have a special charm. In the coastal area between Koroni and Pylos there are still many unspoilt, fine sandy beaches.

- "A wonderful place for peaceful vacation! A ton of things were fantastic about the apartment and our overall stay. The place has an absolutely beautiful view, it' s among fields with olive trees, and it's 1' away from a nice beach with only few visitors. The apartment itself is very nice and well equipped, with high ceilings and great temperature inside. Although we visited in a very hot August, we never had to turn on the air con. During the night, we even had to close the bedroom window, otherwise the breeze was too cold to stand! Another great thing is the balcony that extends on 3 of the 4 walls around the apartment. This means that there is good shade many hours of the day, making it ideal to have breakfast or brunch, or sit outside in the afternoon. The hosts are a very nice and polite couple. Even though they live at the first floor, they are very discreet and never intruding in any way. They had fresh-made sponge cake and their own olive oil awaiting for us when we arrived, and one evening Mrs Elena even gave us delicious stuffed and fried zucchini flowers she had made! The only disadvantage of the place is that it's hard to get to and from. The pin on the map provided on the listing is very accurate, so we didn't have any difficult at all with that. However, the last 1km or so is a narrow dirt road that goes among the olive tree fields. This wasn't pleasant and took us several days to get used to. Make sure you you always follow the same route to and from the apartment, so that you don't find yourself in some worse dirt roads that are found in the area. The nearest village (Characopio) is about 8 minutes away, but due to the state of the road it's best if you buy the things you need from the previous day. All in all, it's a great place, right next to a semi-private beach, with great view, well-equipped, and with really nice hosts! I believe it's ideal for peaceful vacation, for families with young kids or for people that don't to visit a lot of places every day."

Regarding the taverns in the area, you can opt for Meraki, Apolafsi or in the nearby towns, Finikounda or Methoni or even in Pylos.
