The Nest restaurant food & service was great. (Though they did somehow forget to bring kids breakfast but there was plenty of other stuff to eat whilst waiting so no big deal) We did a night in the main hotel in an ocean view room which was nice (but couldn’t see the ocean from the bed which we had been able to in other hotels that used glass screen/metal railings etc on the balcony instead of a wall) and a night in the family selection side. It was nice to get some little gifts in the family selection like bucket/spade, top etc. The beach was better on the main side with some soft sand areas (also some rocks & lots of beautiful shells) the food in the main restaurant was really good too. We were just disappointed we couldn’t get a space in the Japanese restaurant. The pools were warm except the kids pool with the slides (would have thought the kids pool more important to be warm) baby "

It was overcast or raining 6/9 days of our PV trip. The water drainage/sitting puddles at the hotel is not great. There was water draining from the ceilings and down some of the walls. Staff did a good job keeping up and keeping everyone safe. We saw whales daily from the beach- was easier to see when overcast out. The wait staff were great! - "Great resort, like a small town. " - "I came here with low expectations from reading comments and reviews about my stay, but I left more than satisfied. We were very well taken care of, the bartenders would have drinks ready before we even asked for another, we got very fast service in restaurants as well, even just for buffets. The reception staff were very nice and professional, and handled everything smoothly. The event/activities staff were so friendly and energetic even though they were working all day and then doing the shows at night, which we also enjoyed. Everything was very clean and the food was surprisingly good, don’t expect incredible 5 star dining or anything like that of course but it was good. People say it is hard to make reservations but it was simple to do from our smartphones, didn’t take more than 5 minutes. All-in-all it was a wonderful experience and we will be back. The only issues we had were with other guests, many people claimed seats at the pool but wouldn't even be in the vicinity for hours, not letting anyone else enjoy a seat. Some of the guests were incredibly rude not only to the staff but to other guests, of course that’s not the resort’s fault, and the employees knew how to handle rude people."

The only hiccup was our arrival: the website says the reception is on Latin America Street when in fact it was on Mexico Street next door to the hotel. We called upon our arrival and waited for over a half an hour to get the key, not knowing that it was next-door, and we could’ve gotten it right away. also, it would have been great to get the wifi and code to the gate that gets locked at night upon our arrival. We did get locked out our first night, but luckily found someone to let us in. There is a great breakfast spot Nextdoor (no meals served at the hotel but there is an outdoor kitchen if you want to prep your own food.) All in all, a great experience and we would definitely return! "
