I purchased and renovated Villa San Lorenzo because I wanted to provide a beautiful oasis for vacationers seeking delicious food and wine, lovely hikes, untouristed villages and enjoy a slower pace. There are seven bedrooms with air conditioning (Six rooms with King Size Beds, 1 room with the choice of 2 single beds or one King bed). Seven modern bathrooms with bath/shower, one bathroom with large glass shower, and one WC off of the chef’s kitchen.

The pool is great and there's plenty of space. We enjoyed cooking in a couple days, as nearby Dogliani has great stores for everything from pasta, meat, veggies, bread, etc, plus a farmer's market too. And of course, the Langhe has become a treasure trove of top restaurants, from delicious, casual Trattorias to refined and elevated white tablecloth types of places. The XVIIIth century house has been beautifully renovated and nicely furnished. It is spacious and fully equipped. It looks just like the pictures. The the view on the lake cannot be seen from the house or the garden, but we knew that beforehand. The walled garden is very beautiful and offers lots of privacy and shade. The house is great to stay in if it is too cold outside (and probably also when it is too hot outside). The sofas are wonderfully comfortable and there is a nice selection of music to listen to. There was nothing I missed in the house. Aline and Dominique are wonderful hosts. Their tips for the area were very valuable, such as for restaurants and for sights as the beautiful gardens of Villa Taranto, Orta with the Via Crocis and the surroundings of Lago d'Orta. Their help was also very welcome in finding the right tools against the mosquitoes and when parking in or out in the driveway. Parking from the narrow street remained a challenge, but it is good training for the narrow streets that you regularly encounter in small villages. Fresh bread and an espresso can be bought a few meters away and there is a large supermarket further down in the village. We recommend this house to everyone!"

The apartment is equipped with everything you need and is surrounded by a nice garden from which you can see the lake. Stresa and Verbania can easily be reached by car and there is a smaller nature reserve in walking distance from the house. Make sure to try some of the pastries in the nearby bakery. If you travel with younger kids there are some toys for them in the apartment as well as a travel bed, a high chair and a bed rail."

ADVANTAGE OF THE PROPERTY

The apartment is situaded in La Morra’s centre at the hightest point of the first village of Barolo Region. It borders with the San Rocco Church which was built in the 18th century.
You’ll find the property in the historical centre, directly opposite the town hall and the impressive Barocca church dedicated to San Martin (the patron saint of the village).
The famous CANTINA COMUNALE (see photo), the Gallo Wine Gallery, and the Barolo’s wine Cellar are just a short walk from the residence.
Amoung its shelves is a grand choise of bottles of local wines, or otherwise you may choose to wandel through Bastioni with its beautiful views of surronding vineyards facing your residence.
And for those wishing to stay in the centre of town, a short stroll away you’ll find shop, restaurants, pubs and vineyards and the “Seven paths to Barolo” that you’ll find between the vineyards.
So, why choose to stay at La Morra? Because it’s the most well known village in the “Langarole”

Stresa is a beautiful and elegant town on Lake Maggiore, at the foot of the Italian Alps.

The apartment "Vista Lago" has stunning views of virtually the whole lake and is very romantic. From the front terrace you can see Isola Bella and Isola Madre and Stresa old town and from the other side, you can see Laveno and the eastern side of the lake. This side also overlooks a wonderful sub-tropical garden filled with palms and flowering plants and the sound of birdsong. The terrace is large (30m2) and fully furnished with table and chairs and sunloungers and is partly shaded.

Secure garage available for one car but you do not need a car with this rental.

The apartment is stylishly but comfortably furnished and spacious (110m2) and is very well-equipped. There is parquet flooring throughout. The location is both very quiet and leafy, but is under a 5-minute walk from both the lake and the historic centre of Stresa with all its restaurants and shops.

It was recently renovated and finished to a high standard and has all the mod cons. Each room has a lake view and a view of 'Isola Bella'.

Free Wi-Fi Internet, 43 inch Smart TV, air-conditioning and central heating and is available all year round.

It is located on the 1st floor in a purpose-built residence with lift.

The apartment comfortably accommodates up 4 people in one double bedroom and one twin-bedded (or double) room. 2 bathrooms - one with shower and bidet and one with large corner bath for 2 people + shower attachment and bidet. I have another apartment in the same residence with lake view which sleeps up to 6 people.

The living room has lovely views on the lake and leads to the terrace. It has a dining area for 6 people and a decorative fireplace. The kitchen is separate and well-equipped with dishwasher, electric oven and gas hob, washing machine, microwave, Gaggia electric Espresso/cappuccino machine, mini-oven, electric filter coffee machine, toaster and kettle. It also has a small table with 2 chairs.

The bedlinen and towels are changed at the end of the first week and the apartment is cleaned (no extra charge).

Milan Malpensa Airport is less than an hour's drive (31km) and 85 km from Milan itself. From the end of March to the end of September there is a bus service (Alibus) which takes you directly from Malpensa airport to the apartment in under an hour. It stops at the church on the lake, 5 minutes' walk from the apartment.

The bus-stop for the lakeside towns of Verbania and Arona is very near. The station is 15 minutes' walk away.

Stresa makes a perfect base from which to explore the wonders of Lago Maggiore: hop on any ferry to discover the magic of the Borromean Islands, the fascinating villas along the shore, the Piedmont towns of Arona and Intra and the picturesque towns on the other side of the lake in Lombardy. You can even take a full-day boat tour all the way up the lake to Switzerland (Ascona and Locarno). Stresa's railway station which is a 15-20 minute walk connects you easily with Milan (in under and hour), where you can shop, sightsee, or simply sip a coffee and watch the world go by in the famous Piazza del Duomo.

I Faggi Country House is a beautiful, high-quality flat with amazing views high over Lago Maggiore. Everything is spotless and in great working order. This flat had everything from nice olive oil and vinegar to coffee and filters (in addition to Keurig cups) to teas, bottled water and more. The two apartments are situated in Cossogno, a picturesque little village in the Val Grande National Park. Here, you can rest and forget the frenetic rhythms of modern life by letting yourself be enveloped in the breathtakingly beautiful surroundings.
The two two-room flats are part of a house, but they are independent, completely furnished with all modern comforts and both have a terrace. Bed linen, towels, tea-towels and table clothes are provided. Kitchens have cutlery, a refrigerator, toaster and microwave. The laundry room is in the basement of the house and is shared by the two flats. - "We have had the most warm welcome ever bij Gianni, Elena and Anna: kind words, soup and bread, fresh fruit, herbs from the garden: we felt at home at once! Our kids loved the house full off surprises: so many games and toys. The house is in a tiny village and close by the Lago Maggiore: plenty of beautifull villages and nice restaurants in the neighbourhood. There is one disadvantage: the football-table in the basement was so much fun that it is was quite addictive and added some serious competention between de boys and girls in our family ;-)..."

This charming restored farmhouse is located in the 'frazione' of Annunziata, part of the vivid village of Costigliole d'Asti. Amidst the Unesco World Heritage wine landscape of Piedmont, it enjoys splendid views over the Tanaro river valley. The extraordinary sunsets can be watched from the large terrace on the west, with the hilltop villages and ridges on the other side of the river clearly visible. At clear days you can also see the snowy Alpine mountains with the Monviso.

The house has been renovated to a high standard maintaining many original features and using natural and local materials. It is furnished with both antique and modern furniture and has the advantage of being built in stone which makes it warm in winter and cool in the summer. The quietly located farmhouse is at an elevated position, about 300 mts above sea level, and surrounded by its own large garden with different trees, hazelnut groves and vineyards. On the terrain there are two large chestnut trees for the necessary shade during summertime.

Located at the back of the house (privacy) is an infinity swimming pool of 10 x 5 meters. It is 140 cm deep and has furnished terraces on three sides (daybeds, beach umbrella's) including a shower. The pool is illuminated at night and can be closed by a gate. Bath towels are provided, as well as bedlinen and towels.

Free WiFi (also at the pool) and a 4K Smart TV with Google Chromecast are at your disposal. You can listen to your own favorite music by connecting your device to a wireless and portable Bose speaker.

On the ground floor there is a large garage and entrance to the living space of the house. The spacious hall leads to the fully equipped kitchen (incl. dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge) with direct access to the terrace, the downstairs bathroom (with shower), the dining room and cosy living area that are in open connection with each other. In the hall is also the beautiful double staircase in luserna stone that leads to the first floor.

On the first floor there are three very spacious bedrooms. The first has a double bed (sleeps 2), the second has a double bed + double sofa bed (sleeps 2 + 2) and the third has 2 single beds (sleeps 2) and a baby cot. There is plenty of storage space available. On this floor there are two fully equipped bathrooms, one with a bath and its own balcony with views towards the Alps. All bathrooms are supplied with soap and hairdryer. Bedlinen and towels are provided.

The terrace on the westside of the house measures about 80 sqm and is partly covered. It can be entered from the garden or directly from the living room. On the terrace you will find a large dining table with 8 chairs as well as a luxury lounge sofa and an Ofyr fireplace/BBQ. This makes the terrace perfect for eating outside and relax with friends and family.

The house has solar panels for electricity, heating and hot water; cooking is on gas. For charging your electrical vehicle there is a charging station.

From the house you can take many quiet country walks along the small country lanes. Also cycling in the area is very nice. For that purpose there are 2 electro-mountainbikes available at the house; these can be rented separately. The area is very suitable fort hiking and cycling trips; not only in summer, but also in spring and autumn. During wintertime it's possible to go skiing in the Mondoleski area, which is about a 1,5 hours drive from the house.

The house is close to the well known historical towns of Alba and Asti (both within 20 minutes by car) and a perfect base to discover the Unesco world heritage in Piemonte. Asti is famous for its horse-event Palio (in September) and for the well known fresh-sweet dessert wine Moscato d'Asti. Alba is a medieval town full of towers and arcades, famous for its truffle fairs. Other nearby places of interest are Barolo (where the famous wine originates), the picturesque village of Neive, the vivid Nizza Monferrato (home of Barbera wine, rapidly becoming more popular) and the Roman town of Acqui Terme with its thermal sources. The beautiful city of Turin, which is full of museums, ancient buildings and historic cafes, is located about 70 km away and can also be reached by train from the railway station of Asti. Other nearby big cities are Milano and Genova (harbour). The sea and the coast of Liguria are about 100 km, as is the nearest ski-resort (MondoleSki).

In the nearby village of Costigliole d'Asti you can visit the special castle and the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. The village has all services, such as supermarkets, bakery, butcher, cafe's/bars/pizzeria, a theatre, banks, garages and a variety of shops. And of course several good restaurants - like all villages in the neighborhood. Close to the city, calm and breathtaking panorama.
The charming villa, which is over a hundred years old, has been completely renovated over the years and exudes a cheerful and cozy flair.
Spacious rooms with high ceilings, some with stucco, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable seating in the salon, several terraces and balconies, all with open lake views, mountain views and views over Cannobio. Food and winelovers, as well as families and friends will enjoy the beautiful historical property Casa Annunziata set in the heart of the Langhe Hills of Piemonte. The house has been extensively refurbished with a large modern kitchen and 4 bathrooms. The charming authentic old character has been kept with the numerous fireplaces and original visible stone walls. The big family dining room is situated right beside the fully equipped modern kitchen with direct access to the lovely garden. The kitchen door leads to a shaded patio with dinning area. The second spacious and vaulted family room on the first floor has direct access to a sunny veranda and offers spectacular views due to large floor to ceiling windows. At the center of the house is the cozy family room with a large open fireplace from the 16th century. From this area the 5 double bedrooms (1 with an additional double sofa bed and one with an additional futon on the mezzanine) can be reached through a central staircase, as well as three of the four bathrooms. Around the house and in the spacious terraced garden diverse sitting and relaxing areas partially shaded can be found. From the beautiful large swimming pool 11m x 7m the most spectacular views over the valley can be enjoyed. The house is only a 20 minutes walk or 3 minutes drive to the village of Castino which boasts a typical Piedmontese trattoria, a pizzeria, a deli specialised in fresh pasta, a grocery store, a post office a typical "tabaccaio", a coffee bar and an outdoor shop where you can rent bikes and also guided bike tours.

- "Excellent property in a great quiet rural location but only 10 mins walk from Castino with its cafe/bar, deli and pasta shop. Perfect for a relaxing getaway with our family and friends. Lots to see in the area - we only scratched the surface. Pool was lovely and much enjoyed, and a real bonus in the summer heat. Communications with Annette and Ann were excellent, and we were made to feel very welcome - with recommendations for places to visit and eat. A real highlight was the evening meal cooked by Joseph and Ann - which was delicious and highly recommended. A fantastic holiday enjoyed by all of us."
