In a private estate with warden, on a hillside (accessed by steps), 150 m from the sea. A very bright house in harmony with nature with a terrace and garden. The living room, kitchen and one bedroom open onto the terrace with a sea view. Footpaths lead to the beach and a coastal path. These footpaths allow you to explore the whole Gaou Bénet estate.

We bring our road bikes and find the endless hills and excellent small roads a dream. The weather is usually a dream, as well. Except this year... Luckily we could be cozy in the house for basically 2 days straight. Not planned but it was really okay. Since we were only two in the house, it worked. The house is not large. If the weather is good, that is not a big deal. For a couple or a family with young children, the home is perfect. Don't forget to take your own linens! We did not read that "small" detail, so were surprised upon arrival. The hostess organised the basics for us with miraculous speed. We have used vrbo for years, but have not had to bring our own linens/"essentials" for ourselves. We did not even notice that detail (which clearly states " linens available for a fee") on the website. Alain decided he should change his profile page, since it is not mentioned in the intro text; but I thought I would make a notice here, in case others read the comments/reviews as thoroughly as we do. Despite the miserable weather we experienced, we definitely will return to Cap Bénat/Gaou Bénat. It is a magical place. The white and teal color scheme is very relaxing. The kitchen is perfectly equipped (Nespresso coffee maker, blender, large fridge, gas grill, tons of dishes and cooking utensils, etc), which we put to good use during our two-week stay. We had all our meals on the great deck overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. We used the pool almost everyday (the electric cover was great to keep it clean and warm overnight) and we had a lot of fun playing boules. The rooms and bathrooms were all very practical. It was super convenient for us to have 3 bedrooms at the kitchen/living room/pool level as we had several older family members who could not easily go up and down stairs. The upstairs bedroom has a gorgeous view but beware that it is not designed for tall people, who might bang their heads on the sloped beams! Communication with the owner was quick and easy. It is a beautiful home, extremely well taken care of, and we highly recommend it!"
