The exteriors have been arranged all around the house, in different spaces and different terraces, so that everyone can enjoy both the absolute calm and the beauty of the place. You can, for example, have breakfast, or have a barbecue under the arbor in the shade of the vine, relax in a hammock stretched between two olive trees, enjoy the sun on the large terrace between lawn and palm trees, or enjoy the swimming pool and all its facilities.

The pool area, located on another wing of the house, includes a fully equipped summer kitchen, with a large three-burner gas stove, oven, ceramic hob, fridge and freezer, and its bar made of local dry stone. The summer kitchen opens onto a large terrace with teak table and chairs, also shaded by an arbor, and terrace extending onto the pool decks, 9 meters long by 4.5 meters wide. The swimming pool, equipped with a large Romanesque staircase with whirlpool, is 1.10 m deep in half to allow the little ones to enjoy it on foot. On its other half, the bottom is 1.80 meters in diamond, to allow the older ones to dive safely. Finally, its beaches are equipped with sunbeds and sun loungers. A play area for children is also provided with slide gantry, table tennis, a trampoline, and ornamental pools planted with water lilies, and populated with goldfish and koi carp.

- "We stayed two families with teenagers in Cotignac for one week. It was a heatrecord week with 40 deg so the poolarea were really appreciated. In the area you can find really something for everyone. Sports with hiking and amazing views in Verdon, vineyards, beautiful small villages with lovely shops and not by least all types of restaurants. Within in 1 to 1,5 hour drive you can also visit all more famous places like Nice, St Tropes and Marseille. Cotignac is a lovely village and we appreciate that it is not only a touristplace. The house is really as lovely as the pictures shows and in a very calm area. In the mornings we walked to the village and the bakery for croissants, about 30 min morning exercise, but you can be lazy and take Spar 5 minutes away. Spar is a very well equipped little Supermarket. We spent the evenings playing table tennis and relaxing with good barbecue. The house is very well equipped and Sébastien and Éléna are the best hosts. Easy and fast to communicate with and they really assists us with everything we needed. We really hope that we will come back soon!"

This is a lovely, well-equipped house in a tranquil spot, two kilometers from the picture perfect village of Cotignac. This Provencal villa is comfortably and tastefully furnished throughout. The three quarter acre ( 3000m2 ) of fully-enclosed matures gardens are private and not overlooked. The south-facing pool measures 8 x 3 meters and is surrounded by an abundance of garden furniture to enjoy all aspects of sun and shade. In the garden we also have a traditional boules court and two sets of boules.
There is a covered terrace set up for alfresco dining and relaxing and a wisteria covered terrace for dappled shade as well. A gas fired BBQ is provided for summertime meals.
In the house, the large living / dining room has two sets of french doors which open out to the terrace and pool area. The master suite on the ground floor is en suite with bath and separate shower and has french doors which open out onto the pool area. On the first floor are two further double bedrooms (one has twin singles which can be separate or can form a double) sharing a bathroom with shower. One of these bedrooms has french doors which open onto a juliet balcony overlooking the pool and garden. All bedrooms have a double chest of drawers and a mirrored built in wardrobe.
On the ground floor is a Provencal style kitchen which is well equipped with all you would expect and maybe more - such as a bean to cup coffee maker (filter coffee maker available). There is a utility room with washing machine and dryer and American fridge freezer to dispense ice and chilled water. The Cotignac area has hard water so there is a water softener system. Also on this floor is a guest toilet as well as a study with desk and a bookcase. In the desk drawer are plenty of adapters if you have UK plugs.
There is free wifi, with a decent debit, throughout the house which also extends to some of the patio area. There is a TV in the lounge with the basic 5 UK channels (BBC 1 and 2, ITV, 4 and 5) as well as French television. In addition, there is a DVD player with various DVDs, a CD player and cds, plenty of books and some games including scrabble and cards. The dining tables both inside and out seat 8. All windows are double glazed but we also have traditional wooden shutters. We hope you will have fabulous holiday in this lovely home in Provence.

Avant d'arriver au village, prenez la petite route à gauche qui serpente en suivant la rive de l'Argens jusqu'à l'écluse. Profitez des balades en canöe. Continuez votre route pour apprécier vignobles et oliveraies qui jalonneront ce parcours de 6 km jusqu'à Correns.

- La fête des vendanges
Chaque 3e week-end du mois d'août se déroule cette fête autour de la vigne et du vin. Messe, procession au son des fifres et tambourins, défilé folklorique ou petits et grands revêtent les costumes traditionnels, bravadeurs faisant "péter" leurs tromblons, font revivre le village aux couleurs d'autrefois. Charrettes et charrues tirées par les chevaux, vieux tracteurs décorés, emmènent les troupes jusque dans les vignes pour y effectuer les premières vendanges. Puis dégustation, aïoli géant, jeux d'antan et bal font l'animation du reste de la journée.

Bateau dans les Gorges du Verdon ( 40mn)

Escalade au Vallon Sourn
Entre Correns et Châteauvert, sur les bords du fleuve Argens, le Vallon Sourn offre un paysage entre plages et falaises. C'est l'endroit préféré des grimpeurs notamment pour un site d'escalade d'intérêt majeur et de renommée mondiale : Les Roches de Bagarèdes. La plage de l’almanarre à Hyères est un long bandeau de sable de près de 5 kilomètres qui longe la route du sel. Son sable fin et ses eaux cristallines en font une des plus agréable plage du littoral varois. On y pratique les sports nautiques tels que la planche à voile ou également le kite-surf. Profitez également de la vue sur les anciens Salins de Hyères, haut lieu de passage et de stationnement des flamants roses.
Bormes, la Londe, le Lavandou (88mn - 88km)

Les plages de Bormes-les-Mimosas et de La Londe les Maures comptent parmi les plus sauvages du Var. Derrière les plages, on retrouve une bande de pins parasols puis de prestigieux domaines viticoles. The house offers a great sense of tranquility, overlooked by no one. It is a perfect house for a family, 4 x couples or 2 families to share.

INTERIOR:

The state-of-the-art Chalon kitchen is the focal point and very heart of the house where rooms and terraces branch off in all directions.

IN essence there are 2 areas of the house, the original 'provencal' side with all its charm and the newly created 'barn' side with its mix of traditional and modern design. The house is all connected via the kitchen, the house has a lovely flow and we are delighted with how one room naturally leads to another.

The new 'barn' area comprises of the large, panelled, drawing room with a smart TV and a state of the art underfloor heating/cooling system, A wooden lined, double bedroom (160cm bed) with double French doors and fitted wardrobes. The bedroom leads into a very cool bathroom with double sinks on an antique dresser, shower and toilet. There is also a utility room on this floor providing washing machine and tumble dryer.
The stairs in the barn area leads to a large attic room, a round window looks over the summer kitchen, terrace and swimming pool. This room has height restrictions but a wonderful sense of adventure. A perfect overflow for children

In the original provencal part of the house there is the kitchen, charming dining room with a wood-burning stove, beautiful, round, oak, dining table and views to the front of the property. Beyond this is a cosy snug room/study with dual aspect and a selection of games. This floor also has a brand newly renovated master suite comprising double bedroom, dressing room and en-suite bathroom with bathtub and large separate shower.
This side of the house has a traditional provencal staircase that branches off to the left and right, both directions lead to a 'Jack and Jill style' double bedroom, these rooms have stunning views across the vines, one room has a balcony with sofa and chairs which provides a lovely private area to sit back and relax, taking in the views and tranquil ambiance of the entire valley.

EXTERIOR

The outside of the property is full of gems and is a visual delight, there are several different and varied areas to dine, entertain, play boule and of course relax.

To the rear of the property there is a very pretty stone courtyard, where vines provide the shade over the round dining table and chairs. This then leads to the pool area where there is a wonderful 10m x 5m (plus shallow entrance) salt water swimming pool featuring a stone wall on one side which houses a 3-copper-spout-water-feature. At the shallow end of the pool there is a new summer kitchen with fridge/freezer, bbq and sink. The kitchen then extends onto a cool terrace with sofas where you can chill out and there are sails and trees providing the shade. (NEW PHOTOS TO FOLLOW SOON).
There are sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool and we have a fantastic day bed with thatched roof at the far end of the pool,
The entire pool area is enclosed with iron fencing and child proof gates.

To the front of the property we have a large, covered terrace that wraps around the house, there is a 3m long dining table and chairs and a stunning view over-looking the vineyards (owned by the house).
In front of the terrace is "The Gloriette pergola", this has been planted with vines (edible grape variety), Jasmin and climbing roses, all creating another favourite spot to while away the day whether it's enjoying coffee & pastries in the morning, aperitifs at sunset or idle chit chat well into the night.

The far end of the house provides a further lounging area with an outdoor sofa and coffee table, this area is underneath the balcony.

As the name suggests, Li Sian Ben, is a very special place to be.

COTIGNAC:

The town of Cotignac is a stunningly beautiful town which provides a wealth of colour, culture and has a very special charm. The main Cours Gambetta is lined with Plane trees whilst the magnificent cliffs look down over the town. Caves have been cut into the cliffs which used to provide homes and shelter for the troglodytes for hundreds of years, you can walk up to visit the caves.
There is a wonderful year round market on Tuesdays where you can buy all your favourite traditional provencal fare, including foods, clothes, table linens, soaps, baskets, olive wood, honey etc.
Of course the area is well known for producing a lovely clear rose wine, the smell of which is in the air, there are plenty of vineyards in the area and some also attend the market.
After spending the morning at the market why not stay and enjoy lunch in town at one of the many al fresco bars, cafes or restaurants.

The old town is made up of pretty winding streets, stone houses with wonderfully painted shutters, there are several beautiful water fountains throughout the town and Cotignac even has its own stunning waterfall where swimmers enjoy the basin.
There are plenty of shops as well as well as the market, selling lots of fresh produce including 3 boulangeries, butcher, fish monger, art galleries, antiques, homewares, a pharmacy and many others.

Cotignac is an ideal location to explore a large variety of nearby attractions:
St Tropez, Cannes, Aix-en-provence are all within easy reach.
The stunning Gorge du Verdon in close by where you can kayak, rent pedalos or electric boats to travel down the gorge to see the amazing topography.
There are several fantastic vineyards in the area worth a visit
The Lac St Croix has stunning blue waters, again you can rent pedalos, sail boats and paddle boards

- "The location of the villa was truly perfect for our family, four adults and one toddler. The city centre of Cotignac is 10 min walk where you have everything you need (amazing butcher, bakeries, great Cotignac wine, the Tuesday and Friday markets were a huge plus to get all products from the region (honey, olive oil, fresh veggies and fruits). The Lake of Saint Croix is less than an hour away, a must visit, we went there to swim a few times. You also have the Cascade 5 min drive. As far as the house, the manager in charge was very efficient, the pool and the barbecue kitchen were super nice, we enjoyed both very much. The AC works super well during the hot days... the kitchen is fully equipped though we would have loved a coffee machine. The only issue with this house, it has only one bathroom/washroom. We knew this when we rented the house but i must say it was a challenge. I wish the owners would invest in a shower in the pool... other than that, we very much enjoyed our vacation, and we would definitely want to go back."
