There are lots of lovely villages nearby to Fayence to explore especially on market days plus there are glider rides available at the local aerodrome. Fayence itself is always a favourite for us, wandering around its narrow streets and eating at the mill (Moulin de la Camandoule) or tasting wine at a local vineyard. We've been a few times to this area and would definitely recommend Villa Murier as a place to stay and relax."

Were greeted by the owner on arrival and shown around and informing about everything. The house is very nicely renovated and the ground floor apartment is really nice. A small haven of peace in lush greenery, with a 12X6X2 swimming pool. 2 m on a 5ha unfenced property. there is a magnificent 180 ° view overlooking the full of Fayence. the property is 500m above sea level. it is a relaxing and pleasant place. at night it can happen to hear the wild boars. Nearby you have the Golf de Terre Blanche and the Fayence gliding center. There are many typical Provencal villages perched on hills. We find ourselves in the atmosphere of Marcel Pagnol.
There is only one bedroom, it is the living room which acts as second bedroom.

A beautiful Provencal villa in the French countryside with direct views up to the perched village of Fayence. It is just 20 minutes to the A8 motorway and 40 minutes to La Croisette in Cannes. The property has ample parking for 5 cars or more.

Sleeping up to 8 people in 4 full bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 en suite with shower and 1 with bath), the lounge and dining area open out to the terrace and large open garden with a private heated pool equipped with a number of pool toys and child-friendly floatation aids. The pool area also has a secure child-friendly fence installed right around the perimeter pool. Facilities include washer/dryer machine, cable TV, internet (wifi available throughout property and all of garden/pool area), easy to use gas BBQ and ironing board. There are also 2 hammocks, a petanque set (which can be played on the lawn or on the large gravelled parking area) and other outdoor games. *PLEASE NOTE - given recent years of increasingly dry conditions, droughts and watering bans we can no longer guarantee the greenness of the open lawn area. On particularly dry years the result has been a browner and drier lawn than in the attached photos*

The villa is family friendly with cots, high chairs and use of a pushchair provided and is ideally situated with less than a five minute walk to both the best rated hotel and the best rated restaurant in the Fayence area on TripAdvisor. 2 other Michelin starred restaurants are also very close by. A 5 minute drive will take you to a horse riding centre and the Fayence aerodrome, the largest of its sort in Europe, where you can try your hand at gliding and other flying adventures. Just 10 minutes away you'll find Lake St Cassien which provides a huge array of water sports and leisure activities in the summer like kayaking, pedaloes and water slides. Golfers can enjoy a relaxing round with a backdrop of stunning scenery at the nearby high end resort of Terre-Blanche, which was formerly the Four Seasons of Provence.

Check-in/out was simple and the local house manager came to make sure we were settled on the first evening. We were 2 families staying for 1 week with kids aged 5 to 10 and the ample space both inside and out meant we never felt on top of each other. Inside, the house is pretty much as described and pictured in the listing. You have everything you need here for a pleasant and comfortable stay. The weather was extremely warm when we stayed and the air conditioning in all of the bedrooms was excellent! The outside area didn't quite live up to our expectations... The pool was ok - not the biggest/nicest we have experienced, but good enough. There must have been a wasp nest near to the pool when we stayed, but this was more of an irritation than a problem! The main disappointment was the lawned areas (of which there are many with this property!). There was very little of the lush, green grass shown in the pictures and instead a lot of rough weeds - not at all pleasant to walk on bare-footed. This was especially bad on the main lawn between the house and pool. I can only assume there was a problem with the irrigation at some point and the grass simply died... hopefully this will be fixed soon, since we felt it let down the otherwise lovely property."
