Roads are narrow and become one lane near the golf course - so lots of nerves hoping no one would be coming the other way -- a fun family adventure most of the time, though! The thing is, I had imagined that my teenagers might be able to bike into Toscolano-Maderno to meet up with friends everyday - but access was trickier than we thought. Not so much the steep roads (expected that) but some parts were just too narrow and kind of unsafe for tourists like us who don't do this everyday and would need more time to learn best routes and adjust. 3. Kitchen is for one person really - surprising given the size of villa - but the the outdoor kitchen space is lovely and if you are good at BBQ (which we were not) - it becomes a much bigger kitchen! - "Im not in the habit of doing reviews for every stay - I tend to focus on those that are exceptional (good or bad). Let me say that this is one of those times when the photos don't do the reality justice. The level of accommodation is superb, pool bigger than it looks, garden is fabulous (fragrant herbs greet you as you walk). Location is fabulous - a short (if a little steep/narrow in places, but a small price to pay) drive to the lake/shops/bike hire etc. A special mention needs to go to the fabulous hosts, Silvia's dad gave us fabulous fresh vegetables from his garden, Silvia shared her local insights into activities and restaurants - including booking us a table. In summary - I massively recommend and hope we have the pleasure of visiting again in the future."

Villa Miryam is a recently renovated apartment in Ponte di Legno near Ponte di Legno – Tonale. Free Wifi is available throughout the property and private parking is available on site. The apartment features a hot tub and an elevator. Villa luna is a place of stunning beauty, with incredible and breathtaking lake views from almost every angle of the house and garden. Peace, tranquility, modern comfort and harmony with the surrounding nature are the keywords for this property. Immersed in a large private parkland, in the wooded hills above Salò, the outdoor spaces offer the possibility of total relaxation, with fabulous outdoor dining spaces, barbecue, large pool and jacuzzi, as well as a fitness area, ping pong table, and children's play area.

Our guests are accommodated in the ground floor apartment (175 sqm total) of our stunning luxury modern villa, as well as in a charming small independent cottage on the property, newly built in 2014. The apartment for our guests has 3 large bedrooms: 2 doubles and a double with a sofa bed, for a total of 10 sleeping places. Each bedroom has a flat screen HD tv, and is also equipped with an in-room kettle for coffee or tea, and a safe. There are 3 new modern luxury bathrooms, two are ensuite to the bedrooms and the third is in the hallway just outside the third bedroom. There is a very large (60sqm) open space lounge, dining and kitchen area, with access to a private section of the garden, only for the guests' use. In the communal living room, there is a large flat screen lcd/satellite TV and an excellent stereo system. There is also another double sofa bed in the lounge area for 2 extra people. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you expect and need, including fridge, freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, and a fantastic top end capuccino and espresso machine. The dining area has a big country kitchen style table that can seat up to 18 or more.

The cottage, “Wiluna”, is a charming little building (50sqm total) on the property by the pool and garden, and completely independent from the main house. There's is a double bedroom as well as a double sofa bed in the lounge, for a total of 4 sleeping places. The bathroom in the cottage is brand new, as is the kitchen and the dining area. The appliances include a fridge, freezer, coffee machine, hob and microwave etc. It has a satellite LCD satellite TV, and in a corner stands a majolica wood stove for the cold months. The cottage is opposite the villa, by the pool and upper garden area.

In Villa Luna, you can enjoy a lovely mixture of privacy and independence and fun,in total security with the constant availability and company, if you wish, of the hosting family. My family lives in the apartment on the top floor of the villa, always ready to give help and information, and supply whatever you need to be comfortable and to feel at home (and our children are always ready to make new friends!). So if you want company, you will have it! But if you want total privacy, that's what you will have!
The upper garden and pool area is a communal area shared with other guests and my family (my husband, our 3 children that age from 4 to 14, and me). There's an open shower by the pool, and also a bathroom just across the garden with toilet and possibility to shower. There's an outdoor fitness area with equipment for cardio fitness and exercising, and a barbecue. The outside sitting and dining area on the lower garden is for the exclusive use of our guests. Both the apartment and the cottage have independent entrances.

Wifi is included and there is sheltered car port for 3-4 cars.

About 100m down the road through the woods, there is a wonderful traditional osteria restaurant with great food, excellent prices, fantastic views. The villa is about 10 minutes from the centre of Salò, with all its restaurants, shops, transport services, tourist information office and beaches, etc.

Villa Luna is in an ideal position for you to experience all of the wonderful activities Lake Garda has to offer. Take a ferryboat to any other town by the lake, and have great day trips on and by the lake. Drive or get a shuttle to the best theme parks in italy, including Gardaland, Canevaworld, Safari park zoo. Or enjoy the culture and history of our local museums, the typical Italian architecture of buildings and churches, the botanical gardens, and more. For sport lovers, there's a wide range of sport activities all within 15-30 minutes by car or just outside the premises of our home, including golf, hiking and trekking, horseback riding, cycling and mountain biking, climbing, fishing, and of course all the watersports from sailing to kite surfing, scuba to waterskiing.

The living is the environment of the house that welcomes you. It is an open-space with the kitchen, it is integrated with the external environment through a large window that directly overlooks the porch that is covered. The feeling is to live directly on the lake, enjoying an enchanting scenery.

Double bedroom and master bathroom
The lake view room, equipped with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, overlooks the garden through a French door. The exclusive bathroom is annexed to this master bedroom.

Second room
The room is named after our daughter Margherita and overlooks an olive grove and pine trees. In addition to functional furniture, the room is equipped with a desk to enjoy moments of relaxation such as reading or listening to music.

It is a bathroom furnished with a shower and a bathtub, which overlooks the garden.

It is a room with a single bed, a wardrobe and a desk.

- "I cannot recommend this villa enough, I wish I could give it 6 stars ! Piera was an absolutely delightful host and has thought of every little thing to make your stay comfortable. She was so generous with her welcome gifts and even encouraged us to pick veg in the garden to use. The villa has the most amazing view of the lake which you just can't get enough of. There are a front and back garden, both with seating areas, also a jacuzzi, BBQ and sunbeds too. The pictures on VRBO don't do this place justice, it is even better in real life. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and cool at night. This villa has so much space and really is home from home equipped with everything you could wish for. It is only a few minutes walk down to the harbour where there are a couple of restaurants, or up the hill in the other direction there are a couple more. We took the boat into Salo a couple of times for the evening and then got a taxi back, well worth doing, it's a lovely place. Piera was very responsive and always available if you needed any information. We would love to come back to this villa and stay in beautiful Lake Garda again and hopefully will do so one day.
