The owners, Aideen and Diago live upstairs and are the nicest hosts. They provided olive oil from their grove and eggs from their chickens and are always on hand to answer any questions or just have a chat. Salo itself was lovely, a really nice 2km promenade around the lake with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. We found it to be a good base for exploring the many other pretty towns around the lake (definitely recommend Limone, so pretty!). It’s just under an hour to the theme parks and just over an hour to Verona. A car is essential if staying here. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here."

The courtyard entrance is part of an old monastery of the 17th century. The apartment has just been renovated in a modern and tasteful style.

We also enjoyed the Museo della Carta (history of paper making in the river valley) in Maderno. Check in/out was easy...the key is found in the wall box with a code, and the apartment is up one flight of stairs. The electric cart ride with our suitcases (from the car park) was quite fun. Communication was pleasant and easy. All in all, a favorite new vacation spot; we hope to return soon!"

Following the Covid-19 emergency, we inform you that in order to protect the health of our guests, in addition to the normal cleaning routine, the apartment will be sanitized and disinfected after each stay using Bioviral Power products for both floors and all surfaces including sofas and beds. Bioviral Power products are disinfectants with biocidal action PT2 on viruses, bacteria and molds regularly authorized by the Ministry of Health. In addition, between reservations we will always leave an interval of one day to be able to perform the above operations effectively.
