As it was off season, there were rarely more than 10 people on the entire beach. We enjoyed snorkeling on both sides of La Plage de Leroux, the water clear and sparkling. We slept well on the comfortable bedding in the air conditioned bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped. FYI, we shopped for groceries at a Super U in Bouillante and Sainte Rose but on the last day discovered that we could find pretty much everything we needed at the market in DeShaies! After much searching, we also discovered we could have found the memory card we needed in a gift shop in DeShaies as well! Villa de Nid is so convenient to everything you need and many activities on the island! Franck, we can't thank you enough for your gracious care and hospitality and sharing this delightful vacation home with us. It was exactly what we were looking for and we enjoyed every minute of our stay here."

He showed us around and made sure we settled in. The pool is inviting and receives great sun and the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach. Villa Coco's outside areas are wonderful, we spent many hours on the covered porch playing games, listening to music or enjoying a meal. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. The bedrooms are air conditioned and comfortable. The house was very clean and modern. Everything worked well. The garden surrounding the house is beautiful and makes the house very private. The pictures don't do the house justice, it is pettier than the pictures. We saw countless birds, geckos, an iguana and chicken with babies all in the yard. The house is an easy walk to the Langley resort and all of its amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the house."

Climate was great this January, with daily bried rainforest showers coming through. Preferred this location relative to coastal unit where we also stayed, due to cleaner air. You will find another bathroom, 1 independent WC, 1 kitchen and pantry, 1 large outdoor terrace and 1 private pool. This house, without any vis-à-vis opens on a beautiful tropical garden. A gas barbecue is available on the terrace.
You will enjoy the terrace, main room of the house where you will take your meals and you will relax in the sofas and hammock.
Rooms are air-conditioned and have mosquito nets. Bed linen and shower sheets are provided. Among other amenities, you will find hair dryers in the bathrooms and a safe.

We were very grateful to stay there." - "If you are reading this commentary in English, appreciate that you are going to a very French island, where you will be surrounded by the French language and population -- Fantastic! This villa is ideally situated on the island of Basse-Terre. You can get here from the airport in 45 minutes or, if you make the trip on a busy Monday morning, perhaps 90 minutes. It is about 10 minutes south of the town of Deshaies, where there is a concentration of waterfront restaurants, a patisserie, a wine shop and grocery shops, a Botanical Garden with a shockingly good restaurant, and two great beaches. The local village, Ferry, has a patisserie that is a 2-minute drive -- and its own gem of a beach (our favorite) that is a 1-minute drive or a 5-minute walk. So, one could exist for a week and never drive more than 15 minutes, or take advantage of the location for easy explorations of the entire island. The villa is at the end of a quiet (except for the roosters) cul de sac up the hill from the coast. When its green gate closes behind you, you are transported to a tropical garden on the edge of what appears to be impenetrable jungle vegetation. We felt safe, secure and at peace for our entire visit. The villa is not extra fancy but it has everything that one needs, including conveying an immediate feeling of comfort. Small but nice pool, three generously-sized bedrooms, nice bathrooms, hot tub -- surprisingly enjoyable even in the heat, air conditioning - which we only used twice, complete kitchen and, for those who can't live without it, very good wifi. The local manager, Marie-Jo, greeted us and pointed out a few useful things, and then she left us alone for our week -- although we knew we could call her if we had any questions. Marie-Jo was there to say good-bye at the end, making sure we had our airport drive timing correct. Our communications with the owner of the villa were always answered cordially and in a timely manner. Thanks to these interchanges, we had a good feeling about our destination before we went -- and we were correct!"
