- "From the booking process through our last day at Casa Herdz, AJ (the owner) and all of his staff were a joy to work with. AJ's generosity was well beyond anything that we had experienced, he truly strives to make the vacation special for his guests. Sarah and Merida were beyond helpful with our every need. One day, someone in our group mentioned that it would be nice to have a few more pool inflatables & magically four new pool air mattresses appeared the next day! When we were having trouble finding the fish market, Merida took her time to drive/lead us right to it. We looked forward to seeing Merida and Joanna every morning. The house is everything in the photos and more. The layout was well thought out, spacious, and provides so many special areas for guests to enjoy - from the grand outdoor area and private balconies with spectacular views of the ocean, to the lower indoor/outdoor kitchen, two hot tubs, infinity pool, area behind the water fall into the pool, lower recreation area, grilling area/second outdoor kitchen and grand indoor theater... the list goes on. It is an experience that our group will remember fondly for years to come. The shower in the pool house did not work, when we reported it, attempts were immediately made to fix it. It didn't matter much, since our guests staying in the pool house preferred the outdoor shower and there is also a nice full bath close to the pool house, that is accessible only from the outside for their privacy. Villa Sol a Sol offers best value 5 bedroom accommodation at Shacks Beach. Enjoy awesome views of the ocean, covered terraces, BBQ grilling, flat screen TV, WIFI and beautifully landscaped grounds. This villa has 2 floors with 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor and 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Each floor is fully self contained with its own fully equiped kitchen, living room, bathroom and outside covered porch. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy the property. All bedrooms except one on the 2nd floor with a king size bed are air conditioned and have new Serta queen sized beds.
We have installed a whole house power generator for your comfort 24/7. Additionally, we have installed a rain water catchment system as backup for city utilities. We have installed reverse osmosis water filter systems on each floor to provide you with ultra pure water and to discourage single use plastic bottles. Please bring your Yeti cups to take advantage of the cleanest water possible with no single use plastic.
There are three separate outside showers and a nicely sodded backyard. We have installed a SUP rack and surfboard racks for storage of your gear. The property is gated and surrounded by a concrete wall with planters around the entire perimeter. The garden is illuminated at night by professional landscape lighting. The villa has large louvered glass and screened windows throughout to enjoy the Caribbean breeze as well as ceiling fans in all rooms. There are covered outside african mahogany countertop bars for evening cocktails, dining or just hanging out. Flooring is tiled throughout and there is an outside tiled walkway around the house. Each unit has new large side by side refrigerators with filtered water and ice. The kitchens are fully equipped for preparing meals and there are many good restaurants a short distance away for your dining pleasure. Our 5 bedroom rental includes 2 separate fully contained units. Rent both units for $410/night plus 7% PR tax on total rent. If you have not been to this area of Puerto Rico before the owner is on site each day and can direct you to the best locations for anything you may need.

Maximum occupancy is two adults per bedroom. Non smoking and no pets please. No large or loud parties permitted. We have installed a whole house power generator to assure your comfort and your vacation won't be spent in the dark. We can assure you that you will not find a nicer or more well kept property in Shacks Beach for your vacation than Villa Sol a Sol. We have all the bases covered.

Casa Pura Vida is a very nicely furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath home with an ocean view from the cliff which overlooks one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico. Enjoy watching ships passing by, sunsets, and whales (January - March).

This home has one king size bed in the master and a full and twin bed in second room. There is a nice living room, a sitting room area, and a formal dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you're likely to need, including:

You have never stayed so close to the ocean anywhere! Located on beautiful Shacks Beach this modern furnished house has four 2 bedroom units all the amenities you will need(including beach towels, chairs etc). Whether relaxing by the salt water pool, walking the white sandy beach, taking a sunset horseback ride or admiring the picturesque sunsets this location has it all. The adventurous will be on world famous surf, kite surfing, dive spots.

The Space:
Casa Rústica is a stunning rustic house with breathtaking views ofthe Atlantic Ocean and Surfer's Beach. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a grand open living and dining area, and a magical terrace with one-of-a-kind views. You and your guest will definitely enjoy and make beautiful memories in this enchanting house! The property has a washer & dryer a perfect amenity for an extended stay.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a wooden deck at the property that is not accessible due to safety concerns. There is a fence preventing access to it and it is why we don't promote it in the pictures and text of the unit.

LIVING AREA

Casa Rústica has a large open space common area with large floor-to-ceiling windows; where you can enjoy the natural lighting and indulge in the beautiful green surroundings the villa has to offer. The wooden furniture in the living area has been hand-made by the owner's father, which gives a unique touch to the property. The living room connects seamlessly to the dining room & kitchen. It features a large sofa that comfortably sits up to 6 guests, af lat-screen TV, 8 person dining table, and a cozy lounge area with armchairs.

We recommend you open all the doors that lead to the private terrace; this way, you can enjoy the fresh tropical breeze.


SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

There are three bedrooms in Casa Rústica that comfortably sleep 6 adults. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, TV, air conditioning, closet space, and a private bathroom. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have a queen bed, air conditioning, and closet space. They both share a full-size bathroom.

PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.

KITCHEN

Casa Rústica has a comfortable and full-size kitchen. The rustic kitchen has a coffee maker, stovetop, oven, toaster, blender, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge. It also has a large island where you and your guests can set up a buffet-style area perfect for entertainment. Features beautiful wood cabinets, brick-style backsplash, and stainless steel appliances. We include enough paper towels, trash bags, and dish soap, for guests to start their stay comfortably.


LOCATION

Aguadilla is a coastal municipality right at the northwest point of the island, attracting tourists all year round for its surfing beaches, scenic sunsets, and nearby points of interest on the West coast.
There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites, all within a short driving distance:

Enjoy amazing beaches, which are certainly the main attraction for both tourists and locals. Surfer's Beach is the closest just 5 minutes away but you can also drive to Crash Boat, Peña Blanca, and Rompeolas, just to name a few.
Brunch at Mona. Mona is by far the most popular brunch in Aguadilla.
Capture some great vivid pictures at “Casas de Colores”. A macro-mural made up of residences in the community known as “Cerro Cabrera”.
Explore the prime culinary nightlife on Road 110. There is a large assortment of bars and restaurants on this strip which is a favorite among locals on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Have some fun at Punta Borinquen Golf Course. It offers a driving range and a practice green with reasonable fees.

GETTING AROUND

Renting a car is a must when staying in Aguadilla. There are many activities within a 15-minute driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate. The property includes parking for up to 2 vehicles.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase. Disclaimer: we are not associated with any travel insurance companies.

AMENITIES

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.
West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.


HOUSE RULES

Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS:No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 6 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.

The Space:
Aurora del Mar is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom comfortable villa. The villa features a grand patio; great to indulge in some fresh air and bbq with family and friends. If you are looking to relax, experience breathtaking sunsets, enjoy quiet surroundings, and still have all the fun and action Aguadilla has to offer then this is the place for you!


LIVING AREA:

Once you arrive at Aurora del Mar you are greeted with a spacious beautiful front yard that leads to the entrance. The living area seamlessly integrates into the kitchen. There is a 4 person dining table, TV, sectional three-sitter sofa, a love seat in between both bedrooms. There is also an assigned reading nook with a sofa; the perfect spot to unwind and catch up some reading.Aurora del Mar has a washer and dryer perfect for an extended stay. There is a door in between the kitchen that leads to the majestic patio. The patiofeatures garden chairs, bbq, and Edison lighting throughout the entire fence/patio.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:

The bedrooms have a serene and gentle color palette; creating a relaxing ambiance for guests to enjoy.

The master suite has a queen-size bed, a personal nightstand, walking closet, AC, full dresser.

The second bedroom has also a queen size bed, AC, personal nightstand, and drawer.

The bedrooms share a full bathroom.

PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.


KITCHEN:

Aurora del Mar kitchen is conveniently located in the living area. This industrial-style kitchen has concrete countertops and exposed piping. It offers a full refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, stove, blender, and basically everything you need for an extended stay. It has an additional 2 person seating in its counter area.

LOCATION:

Aguadilla is a coastal municipality right at the northwest point of the island attracting tourists all year round for its surfing beaches, scenic sunsets and nearby points of interest on the west coast.
There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites, all within a short driving distance:

Enjoy amazing beaches; which are certainly the main attraction for both tourists and locals: Surfer's Beach, Crash Boat, Peña Blanca, Rompeolas, just to name a few.

Brunch at Mona. Mona is by far the most popular brunch in Aguadilla.

Capture some great Instagram-worthy photos in “Casas de Colores”. A macro-mural made up of residences in the community known as “Cerro Cabrera”.

Explore the prime culinary nightlife on road 110. There is a large assortment of bars and restaurants on this strip which is a favorite among locals on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Have some fun at Punta Borinquen Golf Course. It offers a driving range and practice green with reasonable fees.

GETTING AROUND:

Renting a car is a must when staying in Aguadilla. There are many activities within a 15 minutes driving distance and the roads are easy to navigate. The property includes parking for up to 2 vehicles.

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase. Disclaimer: we are not associated with any travel insurance companies.

AMENITIES:

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.
West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 rollof paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.


HOUSE RULES:

Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS:No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
Building quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please keep noise levels down during these hours out of respect to the neighbors.
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 4 adults/childrenat all times. This includes visitors.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.
