AJ's generosity was well beyond anything that we had experienced, he truly strives to make the vacation special for his guests. Sarah and Merida were beyond helpful with our every need. One day, someone in our group mentioned that it would be nice to have a few more pool inflatables & magically four new pool air mattresses appeared the next day! When we were having trouble finding the fish market, Merida took her time to drive/lead us right to it. We looked forward to seeing Merida and Joanna every morning. The house is everything in the photos and more. The layout was well thought out, spacious, and provides so many special areas for guests to enjoy - from the grand outdoor area and private balconies with spectacular views of the ocean, to the lower indoor/outdoor kitchen, two hot tubs, infinity pool, area behind the water fall into the pool, lower recreation area, grilling area/second outdoor kitchen and grand indoor theater... the list goes on. It is an experience that our group will remember fondly for years to come. The shower in the pool house did not work, when we reported it, attempts were immediately made to fix it. It didn't matter much, since our guests staying in the pool house preferred the outdoor shower and there is also a nice full bath close to the pool house, that is accessible only from the outside for their privacy. Casa Herdz is truly a special place that we look forward to visiting again!"

Located on beautiful Shacks Beach this modern furnished house has four 2 bedroom units all the amenities you will need(including beach towels, chairs etc). Whether relaxing by the salt water pool, walking the white sandy beach, taking a sunset horseback ride or admiring the picturesque sunsets this location has it all. The adventurous will be on world famous surf, kite surfing, dive spots.

The property is perfectly situated to accommodate 1 or 2 families, friends or wedding parties traveling together as we also have a separate 2nd floor 3 bedroom rental. The property has a whole house generator to ensure your comfort 24/7. The grounds are surrounded with colorful tropical fauna and flora inside a private walled compound. Professional landscape lighting illuminates the tropical gardens after dark. Parking is available on site for 1 vehicle per rental unit or 2 vehicles if you are renting 5 bedrooms or both the 1st floor and 2nd floor units. You won't find a better value for your $$$ on Shacks Beach than Villa Sol a Sol.

Our 2 bedroom rental is on the ground floor. With this unit you get private gated parking in front of your rental. You have private entry into your unit via the covered front porch or side entry. The covered porch is very comfortable with cushioned arm chairs and bar stools. There is an african mahogany bar top for enjoying coffee, meals or cocktails. Inside the unit you will find a fully equipped kitchen with new full sized refrigerator with filtered water and ice. There is also a large inside family room with comfortable seating with cable TV and wifi. Right outside the side door you will find a gas cooking grill with seating for your grilling pleasure. Both bedrooms have comfortable Serta mattresses and air conditioning. Bath towel and sheets are provided but please bring your own beach towels.

The best part of Shacks Beach is the diversity of activity within a short walking distance from Villa Sol a Sol. Playa Shacks has open and uncrowded beaches with some of the best snorkeling in Puerto Rico. Tropical Trail Rides offers horseback riding tours to isolated beaches 2 times per day. The space:
Luna is cozy, private, quiet and beautiful. It has a full size mural of the Old San Juan door, painted by a local artist which has become an instagram staple. The handmade Italian woodwork can be appreciated in every detail. There is a charming indoor/outdoor kitchen with a gas stove and a sink. Wake up to the sound of the birds and sip your coffee out on the private porch. There's also a full 3-piece bathroom and an outdoor shower for when you come back from the beach!

Other things to Note:
- There is a water rationing in place for the NW of Puerto Rico. il Sognatore has 1200 gallon cistern when city water is turned off. There is plenty of hot water and water pressure even on the off days, but we ask guest to be mindful of their water usage during the off times.

- The host offers private surf lessons, snorkeling tours, and spearfishing.

Early Check-ins:
Early morning flight arriving at BQN airport at 1 AM to 3 AM are welcome to check in at anytime but remember to book the night before your arrival to secure your sleep hours and prevent other guests from booking the early morning hours. If you don't check in is at 2pm.

The neighborhood:
iL Sognatore is located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on a dead end street. It is encircled by concrete fencing and tall trees, which provides shade, privacy, safety and quiet. It is a calm neighborhood where the only drivers are those that live around.

Getting around:
Situated about 10 minutes from the Best Beaches in Aguadilla and Isabela, the Punta Borinquen Golf Course, Punta Borinquen's surf reserve and the Aguadilla Airport (BQN). You can walk to the Coffee Spot from the property and there is also a gas station and the Hewlett Packard nearby. It is very close to restaurants, pharmacies and supermarkets but a car is needed since there is no public transportation. The neighborhood has a track for walking or running, if you want to exercise.

Our 3 bedroom rental is on the 2nd floor. With this unit you get private gated parking in front of your rental. The covered porch has a commanding ocean view. There is an african mahogany bar top and bar stools for enjoying coffee, meals or cocktails. Inside the unit you will find a fully equipped kitchen with new full sized refrigerator with filtered water and ice. There is also a family room with comfortable seating with cable and Smart TV and wifi. All 3 bedrooms have comfortable Serta mattresses and air conditioning. Bath towels and sheets are provided but please bring your own beach towels.

The best part of Shacks Beach is the diversity of activity within a short walking distance from Villa Sol a Sol. Playa Shacks has open and uncrowded beaches with some of the best snorkeling in Puerto Rico. Tropical Trail Rides offers horseback riding tours to isolated beaches 2 times per day. The Shacks area has quality surf breaks for surfing or paddle boarding and wave sailing for kite surfing or wind surfing. All neccessary appliances, dishes, towels and comforts were provided. Communication with Dale before, during and after the stay was easy and responsive. Here are some of our highlights: What we liked: - the house was very clean and well stocked - right off an amazing beach - easy check-in/out process - a/c and fans in all rooms - outside showers to remove sand - very close to anything you could need - quiet and private If we could change anything: - the beds are extremely firm - the entrance to the bathroom is slightly raised and tiles are same color causing a trip hazard - saw 2 roaches on counter during stay.
