The Rio Camuy Caves is a fascinating hidden underground world. One such unique species found there are fish that are totally blind. Rio Camuy Cave Park is the third-largest cave system in the world. Sixteen entrances have been explored with 11 kilometers (7 miles) of passages. is A special attraction is The Cueva Clara with a passage of 695 feet (210m) in length. At the park there are picnic areas, walking trails, food facilities, an exhibition hall and a souvenir shop. This a very interesting way to spend an entire day. This is not just a property that he rents out, this house is a home he cares deeply about and it shows. As soon as I submitted a booking request, Tony called me and we talked at length about the property and the area. It definitely put my mind at ease as this was my first time renting a vacation property. As the date approached, Tony called to provide further details and Tono’s contact information. Tono, the caretaker met us on arrival day and gave us the tour of the house. He was very pleasant and eager to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Casa Maria is a large three story home with plenty of room to accommodate my large group of 11 people very comfortably. The 1st floor has a family, full kitchen, small dining area, full bath, 2 bedrooms and laundry room. The 2nd floor is where we spent the majority of the time. WE LOVED THIS SPACE. It is very open and filled with lots of natural light coming from the many large windows. The 2nd floor has a full kitchen with a larger dining area & an island with stools for additional sitting. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the essentials. The 2nd floor has a family area, full bath & three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed; the other two bedrooms have a twin bed w/trundle. The 2nd floor leads to a large balcony where we enjoyed coffee in the morning & good conversation in the evening. On the 3rd floor, there is a small room with two daybeds. This room is not air conditioned but has lots of windows to allow a nice breeze to flow in. The 3rd floor leads to two balconies where you can enjoy a partial beach view. The beach is within walking distance if you don’t mind the very steep hill. Very close to the house is a wonderful bakery. Not far is “El Fogon de Abuela” where we had our father’s day dinner, outdoor seating facing the ocean. Casa Maria is a wonderful home with lots of great amenities. The house is very clean and well taken care of. The neighborhood is quiet & I felt extremely safe. The beach is clean & beautiful. There’s a lot to see and do within a short drive. I will absolutely rent this property again and will highly recommend it to anyone. You will not be disappointed. Tony, thank you for letting my family enjoy your home."

It reminded me of the industrial, minimalistic design in hotels in South Beach, Miami - large uncovered windows for utmost viewing pleasure. Located directly in front of a gazebo on the beach, you could hear the waves crashing on the shore from within, and you can even see the ocean from the luxurious refreshing private pool in the back patio. I enjoyed coffee on the wrap-around porch every morning and walks along the beach as well as to the city plaza. During our stay, we encountered a hurricane (Ernesto), which I was nervous about since the island still hasn’t recovered from Hurricane Maria several years ago. The host was the best I’ve ever dealt with. She was very communicative and even had extra provisions for us. She replied to every message I sent and in a timely manner. We lost power a few times (very typical on the island) but the apartment remained cool. I would definitely stay there again."

We have a security camera system with smart doorbell on the outside perimeters of the house. This is to provide security for the property and the guests. Data is never viewed unless an incident were to happen. Cameras are in very visible areas and cover all around the property including the pool. There are NO cameras inside the property.

- "This home is beautiful and spacious. We loved our stay there - it was very comfortable. The pool is beautiful and warm enough to swim in! There are lots of tv's (we only used one, but there must be 7 of them!) The kitchen is large and well-stocked. Lots of small appliances - microwave, toaster, blender, even a small air fryer. (But not a dishwasher.) This house is not by the beach, but there is a beach about a 10 min drive away. Covered parking was a big plus! The pool house is large, and a great addition. I used it for an office while we were there and had no problems with the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is great everywhere on the property. The only ground-level bedroom is the pool house. We had one power outage that lasted 7 or 8 hours. Sebastian was great - he was responsive and helped us through a series of difficulties. He called the power company for us when we had the power outage. We were never able to solve the hot water issues while we were there. The hot water heater would give us very hot water, but only for 2-3 minutes - it worked for doing dishes, but was not long enough for a whole shower. (But the cold water there is a lot warmer than our cold water in Minnesota! So it wasn't that bad.) I hope they are able to fix it soon. Sebastian worked hard to try to fix it. Oh, the A/C - there is A/C everywhere and it works great! If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs-the neighbors' roosters crow pretty much 24/7. We would definitely stay there again."

Alongside the grand room is the fully equipped kitchen with dark wood cabinets, a quartz countertop, beautiful brass handles, and a stunning kitchen island that can sit and entertain up to 4 guests. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Coco Chalet can accommodate up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Master bedroom has a queen bed, a private bathroom, and a terrace/deck overlooking the beach. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has 2 bunk beds with 4 twin beds. The second and third bedrooms share a full bathroom in the hallway that also serves as the common area bathroom. All bedrooms have A/C units.

PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.

LOCATION

This spacious beach house is located in Camuy, Puerto Rico. Well known among locals for its excellent location and world-class beach.
There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are our top picks:

Explore the local culinary scene with everything from local Puerto Rican food to excellent Italian and Asian options.
Go explore the Río Camuy Park. It is the third-largest cavern system in the world, with a flowing underground river.
Chill at the beach. Coco Chalet is located right on Playa Peñon Brusi, which is loved for its golden sand and shallow pools. You also have Los Pinos Beach a short walk away.
Day trip to Jobos Beach, Isabela. Jobos Beach is a 20 minute drive away and offers surfing classes, great culinary options, and nightlife.

GETTING AROUND

Renting a car is a must when staying in Camuy. The property includes parking for up to 3 vehicles. You will need it to move around to nearby restaurants and shops as well as to explore the rest of the island.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. AMENITIES

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens, towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beachtowel per guest. This property includes at least two (2) beachchairs, an ice cooler, and an umbrella.
West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. To name a few these amenities include a set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, dish soap, dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.


HOUSE RULES

Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please keep noise levels down during these hours out of respect to the neighbors.
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 8 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.
Do not hang towels from the balcony or windows. A $100 fine may be applied if you break this rule.

This single-family ranch style house has an open concept with a fully equipped kitchen that has ceiling fans and has air-conditioning, the master bedroom has a queen size bed & full bathroom. The space
Adames Lake House is located in a quiet and safe area , ideal for a gateway where you can relax while laying in hammock or drinking a cub of coffee by the Lake.

It has a big gazebo and a rooftop balcony that is perfect for activities.

There is direct access to the lake , you can go fishing or rent our kayaks.

When it rains , a beautiful waterfall produces an amazing sound that it can be heard from inside the house , perfect to take pictures or simply sit there to admire nature.

Adames Lake House is located with 35 minutes of Amazing Beaches, and surrounded by Amazing food , live music ,pool and many Amazing tourist attractions and sites.

There was no electricity when we checked in and the host went above and beyond getting a generator to us that evening." - "We very much enjoyed staying at this property. There is a little porch in the front of the house to watch the world go by and a beautiful terrace overlooking the spacious garden in the back, including views of the lake. There are kayaks to rent for use on the lake - which we enjoyed one afternoon. Ducks and turtles are on the property and can be spotted near the lake. The owner of the property was amazing. He was very responsive and gave us great tips on where to eat, where to hike, and other cool local hangouts. We highly recommend. "

- "The owner was super-helpful with advance information about directions, the code for the front door, and so on, which got everything off to a great start. The surrounding area and views are absolutely beautiful, too; you're in the countryside with cows grazing and birds singing. The place itself was super-clean, super-functional -- basically, I said to the owner that we loved it because it really felt like home. Everything, from the owner's communication (always quick when I had a question) to the place itself projected that we were welcome! This included the way the rooms were set up (and very comfortable bed) and a really nicely set-up kitchen (with Puerto Rican coffee and some pantry shelves/fridge items that were very useful!) One night, when we thought about grilling out, the owner very generously offered us the use of his gas grill. Puerto Rico hospitality and friendliness at its best! Would highly recommend! And we plan to return!"
