My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Tranquility is one of it's best qualities. The whole house has Air Conditioning.

The house is beachfront and located on the quiet, sunny, and swimable Turtle Beach in the safe and charming residential area of Mar Azul, in Hatillo, Puerto Rico. The location, views, and tropical ocean breezes are amazing. You can enjoy the sound of the crashing waves, even from inside the house. The large oceanfront patio was created as a second 'living room ' along the beach.

The house is a 3 bedroom/1 bath, which comfortably sleeps 6 people. There are 2 queen beds, and 1 full. Bath towels, beach towels and bed linens are included. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, furnished dining room, and living room w/ a large screen TV for web-streaming services and DVD player including an assortment of movies (mostly kid friendly). All bedrooms have ceiling fans and air conditioners.

The beach is great for fishing, snorkeling, sun bathing, and beach-combing. When the waves are up there are 2 advanced level surfing waves out front. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The neighborhood and beach is very family friendly with several shallow tide pools for families to explore. The neighborhood as 2 great parks within a few blocks.

- "My son jumped out of our rental as we drove up the gated driveway and he was so excited. It was a beautiful, clear blue sky day and the house looked amazing against the contrast of the 180 degree of ocean views. The patio are is an area we lived in. We ate there, launched there, and it was the go to spot once coffee was brewed. There's something about waking up to the ocean breeze with a nice cup of Joe. The pool and bbq area is another nice corner to spend time in. And the basement studio/apartment allows for multiple family and/or couples to spend time together while having some private time as well. It is also very safe. The house has a gate you can close before your head to bed in the evening, every door has deadbolt locks, and the house has an alarm system and cameras in key outside areas. The folks in the area are very nice and there are several Puerto Rican style bakeries, delis, and restaurants in the beach area just 5 mins down the road which serve breakfasts, pastries, and coffee and great dinner options in the beach front restaurant. I strongly recommend the juice/smoothie/acai shop near Ohana's restaurant. Btw, Ohana's was out go to dinner sport three times during our weeklong stay. You will not regret your stay at this beautiful home."

The impeccably maintained trails descend 200 feet through a fern filled ravine and down to the cathedral-like caverns.

The Rio Camuy Caves is a fascinating hidden underground world. One such unique species found there are fish that are totally blind. Rio Camuy Cave Park is the third-largest cave system in the world. Sixteen entrances have been explored with 11 kilometers (7 miles) of passages. is A special attraction is The Cueva Clara with a passage of 695 feet (210m) in length. At the park there are picnic areas, walking trails, food facilities, an exhibition hall and a souvenir shop. This a very interesting way to spend an entire day. This park is naturally very popular, so reservations are must. Open Wednesdays through Sundays and holidays; 8am to 4pm.

- "Villa Casa Maria EXCEEDED my expectations in many ways. From the initial booking to the day we left the house, the entire experience was flawless. Tony, the owner of the property is a delight. This is not just a property that he rents out, this house is a home he cares deeply about and it shows. As soon as I submitted a booking request, Tony called me and we talked at length about the property and the area. It definitely put my mind at ease as this was my first time renting a vacation property. As the date approached, Tony called to provide further details and Tono’s contact information. Tono, the caretaker met us on arrival day and gave us the tour of the house. He was very pleasant and eager to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Casa Maria is a large three story home with plenty of room to accommodate my large group of 11 people very comfortably. The 1st floor has a family, full kitchen, small dining area, full bath, 2 bedrooms and laundry room. The 2nd floor is where we spent the majority of the time. WE LOVED THIS SPACE. It is very open and filled with lots of natural light coming from the many large windows. The 2nd floor has a full kitchen with a larger dining area & an island with stools for additional sitting. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the essentials. The 2nd floor has a family area, full bath & three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed; the other two bedrooms have a twin bed w/trundle. The 2nd floor leads to a large balcony where we enjoyed coffee in the morning & good conversation in the evening. On the 3rd floor, there is a small room with two daybeds. This room is not air conditioned but has lots of windows to allow a nice breeze to flow in. The 3rd floor leads to two balconies where you can enjoy a partial beach view. The beach is within walking distance if you don’t mind the very steep hill. Very close to the house is a wonderful bakery. Not far is “El Fogon de Abuela” where we had our father’s day dinner, outdoor seating facing the ocean. Casa Maria is a wonderful home with lots of great amenities. The house is very clean and well taken care of. The neighborhood is quiet & I felt extremely safe. The beach is clean & beautiful. There’s a lot to see and do within a short drive. I will absolutely rent this property again and will highly recommend it to anyone. You will not be disappointed. Tony, thank you for letting my family enjoy your home."

It reminded me of the industrial, minimalistic design in hotels in South Beach, Miami - large uncovered windows for utmost viewing pleasure. Located directly in front of a gazebo on the beach, you could hear the waves crashing on the shore from within, and you can even see the ocean from the luxurious refreshing private pool in the back patio. I enjoyed coffee on the wrap-around porch every morning and walks along the beach as well as to the city plaza. During our stay, we encountered a hurricane (Ernesto), which I was nervous about since the island still hasn’t recovered from Hurricane Maria several years ago. The host was the best I’ve ever dealt with. She was very communicative and even had extra provisions for us. She replied to every message I sent and in a timely manner. We lost power a few times (very typical on the island) but the apartment remained cool. I would definitely stay there again."

We have a security camera system with smart doorbell on the outside perimeters of the house. This is to provide security for the property and the guests. Data is never viewed unless an incident were to happen. Cameras are in very visible areas and cover all around the property including the pool. There are NO cameras inside the property.

- "This home is beautiful and spacious. We loved our stay there - it was very comfortable. The pool is beautiful and warm enough to swim in! There are lots of tv's (we only used one, but there must be 7 of them!) The kitchen is large and well-stocked. Lots of small appliances - microwave, toaster, blender, even a small air fryer. (But not a dishwasher.) This house is not by the beach, but there is a beach about a 10 min drive away. Covered parking was a big plus! The pool house is large, and a great addition. I used it for an office while we were there and had no problems with the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is great everywhere on the property. The only ground-level bedroom is the pool house. We had one power outage that lasted 7 or 8 hours. Sebastian was great - he was responsive and helped us through a series of difficulties. He called the power company for us when we had the power outage. We were never able to solve the hot water issues while we were there. The hot water heater would give us very hot water, but only for 2-3 minutes - it worked for doing dishes, but was not long enough for a whole shower. (But the cold water there is a lot warmer than our cold water in Minnesota! So it wasn't that bad.) I hope they are able to fix it soon. Sebastian worked hard to try to fix it. Oh, the A/C - there is A/C everywhere and it works great! If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs-the neighbors' roosters crow pretty much 24/7. We would definitely stay there again."

LIVING AREA AND KITCHEN

Enter Coco Chalet to an open concept grand room with a stunning wood ceiling, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a large sectional sofa, a dining table for 6, and smart TV - all with gorgeous ocean views. The living room also has AC!

Alongside the grand room is the fully equipped kitchen with dark wood cabinets, a quartz countertop, beautiful brass handles, and a stunning kitchen island that can sit and entertain up to 4 guests. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Coco Chalet can accommodate up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The Master bedroom has a queen bed, a private bathroom, and a terrace/deck overlooking the beach. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has 2 bunk beds with 4 twin beds. The second and third bedrooms share a full bathroom in the hallway that also serves as the common area bathroom. All bedrooms have A/C units.

PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.

LOCATION

This spacious beach house is located in Camuy, Puerto Rico. Well known among locals for its excellent location and world-class beach.
There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are our top picks:

Explore the local culinary scene with everything from local Puerto Rican food to excellent Italian and Asian options.
Go explore the Río Camuy Park. It is the third-largest cavern system in the world, with a flowing underground river.
Chill at the beach. Coco Chalet is located right on Playa Peñon Brusi, which is loved for its golden sand and shallow pools. You also have Los Pinos Beach a short walk away.
Day trip to Jobos Beach, Isabela. Jobos Beach is a 20 minute drive away and offers surfing classes, great culinary options, and nightlife.

GETTING AROUND

Renting a car is a must when staying in Camuy. The property includes parking for up to 3 vehicles. You will need it to move around to nearby restaurants and shops as well as to explore the rest of the island.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. AMENITIES

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens, towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beachtowel per guest. This property includes at least two (2) beachchairs, an ice cooler, and an umbrella.
West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. To name a few these amenities include a set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, dish soap, dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.


HOUSE RULES

Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please keep noise levels down during these hours out of respect to the neighbors.
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 8 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.
Do not hang towels from the balcony or windows. A $100 fine may be applied if you break this rule.

The surrounding area and views are absolutely beautiful, too; you're in the countryside with cows grazing and birds singing. The place itself was super-clean, super-functional -- basically, I said to the owner that we loved it because it really felt like home. Everything, from the owner's communication (always quick when I had a question) to the place itself projected that we were welcome! This included the way the rooms were set up (and very comfortable bed) and a really nicely set-up kitchen (with Puerto Rican coffee and some pantry shelves/fridge items that were very useful!) One night, when we thought about grilling out, the owner very generously offered us the use of his gas grill. Puerto Rico hospitality and friendliness at its best! Would highly recommend! Friday and Saturday night is noisy because of the number of cars they pass through and the music they carry. It is not in my possession this is a situation.

At the moment we are in the road construction area of Camuy, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

The space
This unit features a small, cozy space. In which you can rest after a long day of work, weekends and then a night of jangueo. Since we have separate entrance, the guest can enter at any time they want once their stay begins. The ceiling is suitable for people who are 6'3" maximum. Since it's about 7 feet tall and the entrance to the bathroom is shallow. At the entrance of the bathroom you will find a curtain for privacy.

Other things to note
The space to stay is downstairs in the house, they have the entire area with a bathroom, kitchen area and room area. Air conditioning, shower heater, hair dryer and TV are available. The smoking area is outside in any area of the surroundings of the house. Pets inside the house are not allowed due to carpeted floor. If you bring your pet please leave it outside and bring a rope/chain so that we can moor it as we do not have fences so if it is loose you can escape. In the surroundings we have cats... the ones with a necklace are ours, please do not let them into the house. If you want to socialize with them, the black and white is called Silvestre, it's the friendliest.

This house is located nearby many good beaches and places to eat. It is 5 minutes away from PR-2 and 15 minutes away from PR-22 main roads. Which makes it the ideal house to stay in and go out to visit multiple places in PR.

The space
Casita Yabisi is located on a second level; it has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with a full size bed, all equipped with quality bedding and storage space. The house also includes a full bathroom with all essential needs, a cozy living room with entertainment area, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious dining room, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. In addition, you can enjoy two outdoor spaces: a front balcony and a terrace ideal for relaxing. Located near downtown restaurants and supermarkets, Casita Yabisi is just 5 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Camuy.
