This nice residence is fully furnished and has four roomy bedrooms. The master room has a walking-in-closet. It has a living room, dining room, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The high ceiling and window system on top and between the areas inside the home, provide excellent ventilation, keeping it at a nice temperature environmentally friendly. Its two spacious balconies provide the perfect space to rest or to simply enjoy the cozy nature of Puerto Rico, accompanied by the singing of the great diversity of birds that live in the area. Located on the landlocked mountainous of the center of the Island, sacred place for our ancestors the Taino Indians, the property was part of a former coffee farm and has an extension of 7.5 acres, which you will be able to explore and be in contact with nature.

Inside Home: In the center of the house lies a small interior courtyard which will provide you a refreshing atmosphere. In this area the ceiling is a dome higher than in the rest of the house with a skylight that allows sunlight illuminates the interior courtyard.

We also run Batey Zipline Adventure, a nature adventure company that offer tours around the Tanamá river area (about 10 minutes away from the house) and include activities like zip lining, rappelling, caving, river kayaking, forest hiking, suspension bridge, and horseback riding. Other Attractions: If you want to stay in touch with nature and enjoy exciting and interesting historical sites, environmental and scientists, this is the place for you. Caguana Indian Ceremonial Park – dates back to 1200 AD and was the most important ceremonial center of Taino culture in the West Indies. This Ceremonial Park is located only two kilometers from the house. Rio Camuy Cave Park – is an extensive cave system, considered one of the most important in the Western Hemisphere. Famous for its subterranean river, Rio Camuy, world´s third largest subterranean river. Lago Dos Bocas – is a large, beautiful, winding reservoir. You can take the ferry leaving from the principal dock to one of the many restaurants on the water´s edge.

Arecibo Observatory – the largest and most sensitive Radio telescope of the World is part of the National Astronomy and Ionosphere Center (NAIC). Your Stay is in a spacious 3 Bedroom 2 bath pristine house centrally located in the heart of Puerto Rico. If desired you can rent the lower unit a charming 1/1 unit. Together both units can comfortably sleeping up to 8-9 people. The house alone can comfortably sleep 6 persons. The elevation of the property is approximately1800ft up so the nights and mornings get very cool. You will feel right at home with features like Quiet seating areas, Full kitchen, Dining Room, Outdoor Patio Bar, and many more amenities to make your trip extra special.

The House features 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms. The Large Cozy house features breathtaking Mountain View’s, a Smart TV with Satellite TV, A full Fridge with Freezer and a Stove/Oven. The apartment which is an additional price has a one bedroom one bathroom sleeps up to 2-3 with a pull out sofa and a mini kitchen .

Surrounded by nature in the peaceful mountains of Utuado, a town in the central region of Puerto Rico, you will find Casa Lago...In this neat and beautifully decorated Lake House, can sleep up to six (6) guests and no visitors allowed. It has two bedrooms with queen size beds, two full bathrooms, family room, all rooms with linens and towels. This two story wooden house has also a fully equipped kitchen. It also has a dining room, living room, and a large terrace with a hammock that will tempt you for a daily nap, or simply relax while enjoying a nice view of the Caonillas Lake. Most of the time we have a cool breeze weather, although, there are six ceiling fans in the house that will make it more comfortable for you, if needed.

In the lower level of the house there's another terrace and a laundry area with washer. In our large patio, there's a big gazebo with two half bathrooms and plenty of chairs and tables to gather your party and enjoy a charcoal BBQ; all under the shade of bamboo trees.

Begin your day with an aromatic coffee while the morning fog still covers the lake, or prepare a fresh fruit salad with bananas,papayas, mangoes, oranges or pineapples, among other fruits you'll find from vendors along the country roads. Since we are steps away from the lake,you can enjoy fishing from our private dock, kayaking and paddle boarding . For those who seek an adventure or like to exercise, mountain biking or an early jog are great choices to boost your day. To sparkle your evenings, we suggest a nice wine near the fire pit, while listening to the singing of the 'Coquis', an endemic tiny frog and cultural symbol of Puerto Rico. It just can't get any better!

While in the area, you can plan your visit to many tourist attractions known nearby, that will make your vacation a very exciting and special one. The Caguana Indigenous Ceremonial Park is one of the most popular attractions in Puerto Rico. Here, you will learn about our ancestors, the 'Tainos' indians. archeologist have uncoverd many artifacts, petroglyphs, monoliths, and stone-lined areas that show evidence of occupation which may date from the year 1000-1100ad, to the beginning of the 15TH century. This spirited and mystical museum-park is said to be one of the most important Taino-Culture archeological sites in the antilles today. The Batey Zipline Adventure Park, is another way to explore nature while experiencing a day full of adventure like hiking, rappelling, underground river caves or horseback ridding. Besides the Caonillas Lake, Utuado also features the Dos Bocas Lake. As you reach the main dock (embarcadero), you may choose a free scenic boat ride that will take you to the restaurants and enjoy the delicious puerto rican cuisin. Puerto Rico is also famous for its coffee, so we suggest a visit to Hacienda San Pedro, a coffee plantation in the nearby town of Jayuya. And of course, in Utuado you will find supermarkets, pharmacies, gas station, bakeries, banks and other business location for your convenience.

Since the lake has steep shores and rocks in the bottom, diving in to the lake is something we do not encourage our guest's to do, for their own safety!

We have many family and friends helping us to make your stay a memorable one. They clean the homes before you arrive, cook meals when requested, and truly help create the “culture” of your home when you need something. I am not usually in town, but I'd love meeting and spending time with you when I am. I am always a text or call away!

Our neighborhood is just that; A community of people coming together looking out for one another, and very open to welcoming travelers from all around the world. Many of the locals that you'll meet in this this area don't travel much, so it is just as exciting for them to meet you as it is for you to meet them. Everyone I know is very giving, loving, genuine and humble, which is one of the many things that makes you fall in love with our beautiful island. I grew up visiting these lovely mountains with these amazing locals, and it's an honor and a privilege for me to share this part of the Island with you.

- "Excellent all-around. Outstanding lodging, host, location, facilities, cleanliness, safety, setting, privacy, etc. I could not have been more pleased. Beautiful part of Puerto Rico, a tropical paradise in the mountains, and a good base for exploring the rest of the island. I plan to return. I highly recommend that visitors explore outside of San Juan, and the prettiest beaches are elsewhere. I would give the lodge and the host an A+." - "The view was as spectacular as advertised. We rented the entire place and had plenty of space for 20 people, mostly adults. This was a super peaceful space for sunrises and sunsets. The swimming hole and waterfall is a bit of a trek downhill, which was a huge hit for the under 50 outdoorsy crowd but not really accessible for the injured and older members of the group. The road up is well paved but quite windy and narrow in places. Having dinner cooked and delivered by locals worked quite well. They were able to accommodate vegan and vegetarians in our groups as well as a nut allergy without a fuss. It made it super easy and no one had to drive up the windy road at night. The kitchen was also sufficiently stocked with pots, pans, appliances, etc. to cook for the group. Overall, recommended for a large group looking for a low-key spot with great views and quiet mornings."

Country Place in the mountains where the cities and nightlife are at least an hour and a half away. Your casa awaits you high in the central mountains of Utuado, Puerto Rico complete with panoramic views surrounded by lush greenery, flowers, tropical fruits, and plants. A breadfruit tree (pana), papaya, starfruit, bananas, oranges, plantains, and more are all on this property next to the expansive tiled and furnished terrace with a wood-burning fireplace overlooking the grand view. You can watch hawks swooping down to catch a meal and hear the Puerto Rican Owl warbling in the night. Be entertained by scampering lizards catching bugs. Ferdy is the friendly caretaker who can provide you with firewood for the 🔥 fireplace for a reasonable fee. Or bring your own charcoal available at Flamboyan grocery in Angeles.

You may also enjoy cooling dips in the unheated pool and plan your outings while swaying in a hammock in the gazebo or on the terrace. Coffee plantations are nearby or Camuy Caverns and Guanataca Forest with nicely maintained trails and a small cave is in the area too. Tour companies nearby offer more. Angeles, 5 Km. away on P.R.-602 has a small grocery store (Flamboyan) that sells charcoal and most supplies one might want and an ATM. You will come across 2 bakeries, a couple of restaurants, and a weekend rotisserie selling great chicken and yummy creamy yuca ( a must-try dish)! Lares on P.R. 111 is 30 minutes away featuring bigger stores and the best "under the green bridge food truck selling "stuffed potatoes and frappes we have ever had!! A minute or two away on the same road is a small local eatery that has great Lechon (roast suckling pig) with all the traditional sides. Upon a hill on route 111 is a string of special food vendors selling good food; we like the PIZZA baked over a wood fire at the end. Most eateries are open Thursday through Sunday.

This is a typical country home but with many more features than most homes found here in the area. You will have a tranquil and relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of the hot cities. The temperatures on the shaded terrace and at night are 70 ° F ...You will only need a light sweater in the evening and perhaps a cheery fire in the fireplace. Hurricane Maria left lots of firewood that Ferdy can bring to you upon request.
Wal-Mart and other big-box stores are at least 45 minutes away. Good beaches and sport fishing are 1&1/2 hours away but you can fit those activities in when you plan 4 or more days therefore be prepared to relax and restore yourselves on one of the best country holidays of your lives.
Please do your research on what type of vacation and what region you want to be in to be certain this is for you. Water and electrical service do get interrupted occasionally in Puerto Rico. All roads are paved but if curvy and narrow country roads with occasional potholes and randomly parked vehicles and horseback riders bother you THEN DON'T COME.
Nightlight here is relaxing with a good book you brought or one of ours ...playing a game or good conversation. You can relax in the gazebo or in the unheated pool and connected spa.

The roads were definitely narrow in spots, luckily we were warned, and advised not to drive at night. Water pressure was great. Views were amazing. Covered terrace was perfect during rainstorms. Its location tucked away inside the Rio Abajo forest is prefect for getting some peace and quiet. Casa Sabana is a large and modern home on top of the clouds! Each bedroom has it’s own Mini split AC unit for comfortable sleeping conditions. There is plenty of space for large groups or spending time with a small family and friends. There are 3 beautiful acres to explore and harvest your own tropical fruit when in season. There are many terrace’s and dining area’s to choose from for gathering and relaxing. The large terrace has breathtaking views and 5 hammocks for relaxing and taking in the magnificent nature that surrounds you. There is a beautiful spring at the bottom of the 3 acres with small waterfalls and pools for cooling off. It is a beautiful, but challenging hike. You will find tropical flowers, fruit (when in season) and magical trees on this path, so take your time and enjoy! The house is located about 15 minutes from town,. The roads are paved and safe but you do have to drive up the mountain to get the views. We have a working 24 hour security camera aimed at the driveway and front gate for your safety. Also an outdoor security camera aimed towards the road at the rear of the property so that you are safely protected 24/7.

- "We had a great 2 night stay and wished we had more time! Christina was an excellent host! I reached out to her several times and she was always readily available. She even delivered dinner our first night! The house is literally on top of the clouds, but is easily accessible. The roads felt safe and we didn't have any difficulty navigating them in a sedan. The hardest part was remembering which turns to take (Google Maps wasn't cooperating), but Christina and her husband helped us every time! The home itself is clean and very roomy. Our favorite place was outside on the upstairs balcony, The kids even slept in the hammocks. The home is surrounded by nature and tropical plants and trees. My husband loved all the fruit growing on the property. Christina left us avocados, bananas and guaba (super yummy)! We also enjoyed our hike to the small spring. Air conditioning worked but was quite noisy. It is near the river and if you’re wondering, there is no access to the river from the property. Unfortunately the photos in this listing when we rented showed screen doors which have since been removed. We were offered a 10% discount since the house was not found as pictured. "

The owners even offer private tours of various places. My only regret is not planning to spend more time here during our Puerto Rico trip. The river had a couple of small lovely waterfalls & we appreciated enjoying the river after a hot day. The cabin is very cozy & comfortable. - "Beautiful property with an amazing atmosphere. We did have a difficult time with communication prior to check in, as the host didn't reply to several messages about how to get in over the 24 hours before our check in. We thankfully just drove to the property early and ran into the cleaner to get in. We also had to pester them for the wifi info. There was no "welcome book" as many places have with info about cleaning, wifi, or local attractions. The kitchen was sparse as far as dishware and we had a breif power outage during our stay, but the bubble itself was everything we could have wanted. Very secluded and it couldn't have been more beautiful. My other note is that even with 4 wheel drive, getting to the actual bubble would be very difficult by car. Otherwise you have to park at the top of the property and take a pretty steep hike down, which was fairly tricky with luggage."

The Epic Mountain Jungle Casita, dubbed "the coffee house," is a historic coffee processing mill located near the top of a mountain on an old coffee plantation, with expansive views, fresh air, blue skies, pure mountain spring water, and an assortment of in-season tropical fruits. It has been completely renovated and turned into a comfortable, tranquil space. The property encompasses 40 acres but is surrounded by hundreds of acres of pristine jungle and mountain ridges along with miles of hiking trails with some of the most scenic views in all of Puerto Rico.

In the fall of 2024, we completed a new covered rooftop terrace for additional relaxation space and nature watching enjoyment, as well even more opportunities to take in panoramic views of the valley (and ocean) below, and our epic sunsets. The terrace includes a small dinette, a hammock, and a place to lounge, all tucked behind a privacy screen.

The Casita has a window fan (average temps are about 72 and pleasant year around), and features a queen bed, a private bathroom with a window looking off a lovely jungle valley, a small desk, and a small kitchenette with everything you need to cook full meals: a microwave, induction burner, toaster oven, instant pot, air fryer, blender, and an apartment-sized refrigerator.

The Casita is surrounded by herb gardens and banana trees, along with many opportunities to commune in nature on designated chairs and benches scattered throughout the property.

Be sure to utilize our luxurious relaxation and healing services in our new open-air spa overlooking a jungle ravine. Our property is remote and ideally suited to guests who are looking to unplug, commune with nature, find spiritual and emotional healing (inquire about our many therapeutic services), and/or guests who also want to explore some of the nearby attractions, like the well-known Canyon Blanco, or Tanama River. There’s also the option of booking one of our guided experiences to a special off-the-beaten-path adventure. Our property includes several miles of epic self-guided hiking trails. In order to take full advantage of our property and surrounding attractions, we encourage guests to book 3 nights or more when possible.

The town of Utuado is about 30 minutes away by car on a narrow, winding road and we are located at the end of a steep 1/2 mile dirt road. We will meet you at the start of our neighborhood and then we will transport you from a parking location near the start of our property to the house if you do not have AWD/4WD. When renting a car, it's helpful to at least have a car with front wheel drive. Once you are here though, you'll literally feel like you are in paradise!

We are located about an hour and 45 minutes from either the San Juan airport or the Aguadilla airport and we are about one hour driving distance both Arecibo and Poncé. We can arrange airport transfers for a fee, either from the airport or to your next destination on the island.

The space is personally decorated by singer/songwriter Robi Draco Rosa. The rainforest loft is very close to organic fruit trees, a lake, and the Rio Tanama River, which is great for swimming. There are hiking trails at Monte Sagrado Reserve, all tours are possible through BATEY TOURS.

There is a spacious bathroom with mountain views, two queen beds are in the main sleeping area of the rainforest loft, and one twin bed is by the TV area. There is a small fridge in the room for your convenience.

Guests do not have access to a kitchen in the rented room. Meals are available at request, see below. There is a kitchen on site but it is only during working hours while the hacienda staff are on-site. Guests have access to the grounds of Monte Sagrado Reserve. BUT it is possible to set up daily breakfast or any other meals with advanced notification. You have access to acres of hiking trails, a mile of river, a lake, the coffee plantation, all tours are though Batey Tours, and organic fruit grown on the property. This is NOT a rental for the private living areas and private living and bed rooms of the owner, singer/songwriter Draco Rosa. This rental is one room in his hacienda in the main house. His private living quarters are locked most of the time, unless the staff is around.
Breakfast at the hacienda made by the Monte Sagrado Reserve staff IS possible but that, or any other meal plans, would have an additional charge and can be paid directly to the staff member making the meal or in advanced. Lunch and dinner are not available on Sundays.
Other things to note
-Internet (wifi) is currently not 100% stable in the central mountain region of Puerto Rico yet after hurricane Maria.

--This is a very large hacienda in the countryside of Puerto Rico. There are animals who live on the grounds, like cats, geese, horses, and a variety of birds and smaller animals. Proper attire is suggested.

--Costs per plate for requested private meals on your private terrace: Please inquire about prices for breakfast, and lunch. Depending on the season, food materials available at the time, and meal availability, prices will fluctuate through the year. All meals should be confirmed at least two days before arrival.

Utuado is a rural mountainous town in central Puerto Rico. Monte Sagrado Reserve is located on over 100 acres of green rainforest, with rivers, waterfalls, horse and hiking trails, big fields of grass as well heavily shaded areas. Half of the grounds is a working coffee plantation. The area is close to Lago Dos Bocas, the Arecibo observatory, the Taino ceremonial grounds, the Rio Tanama, the river that runs through the property, and great places to eat.

About this space-
It is five (5) minutes from Canon Blanco in Utuado with Lago Dos Bocas, Lago Caonillas and Centro Ceremonial Indígena close by, among other attractions. We are also very accessible to the town of Jayuya, a town that offers a lot of culture, and is only 20 minutes away.

Our casita has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. There is an upstairs terrace with a view of the lush valley with sound of the flowing water from the creek below.

In the downstairs area, there’s a living room with a comfortable sofa and a table with chairs as well as full bathroom.

In addition to the living room , there is a fully functioning kitchen that includes a coffee maker, refrigerator, pots, pans glassware and silverware.

The space consists of a "tent" where two people can sleep comfortably (there is also an additional small bed). In addition, we have an outdoor shower and a separate bathroom for more privacy, you just need to bring your personal items for camping. We have chairs, a table, a BBQ area with gas (no cooking utensils) and plenty of room to walk around and explore. Natural place, no electricity (no laundry, so for hygiene and safety reasons, bring your towels and facecloths).

Our home sits on a convenient area, directly on a main- busy road. The sounds of cars, and occasional sirens are a regular part of life here.
If you want convenient- easy access to all and don’t mind city sounds, our home suits. For some quietness, you would want to stay further away- uphill in the mountains.

Important- Key:
The door that gives access to the laundry and patio, for security reasons, locks from the inside only. This will guarantee the exit in the event of an emergency evacuation.

The main entrance door is a security door. it requires one to two key turns to fully open or to lock, from the outside and inside.

Casa Otoa is located in a community near the center of town. It has air conditioning in all areas of the house. (This was a recommendation from our guests). Walking distance you will find pizerías, restaurants, laundry, gas stations and others. The property is very close to the famous letters at the entrance of the town and the famous Pastelillera El Otoao.

The beds have memory foam mattresses, super comfortable. (A good rest distinguishes us) Accommodates six people, since it has a sofa bed in the living room area, an area that has air conditioning. Our shower in the bathroom is a delight with plenty of hot or cold water.

Finca Remedio is a 40 acre permaculture farm in the mountains of Utuado, Puerto Rico. We are happy to share this healing space for you to immerse in nature. We are also a community space and offer community workshops on some Sundays. You can check out our work on IG and FB Finca Remedio.

The cob house is a one of a kind authentic earthen home made from clay, sand and straw with a bamboo reciprocal roof. It is a simple casita with a table, shelves, skylight, fan, windows and two doors. It has a door that connects to a simple roofed bathroom with a compost toilet (don't worry it's not smelly), hot shower and epic view. The floor is earthen and painted with a natural lime wash, it is soft and easy to dent as are the walls. Please no shoes inside or dropping heavy suitcases on the floor.

Next to the cob house is a large kitchen deck where you can do yoga, relax, play music and cook! The outdoor kitchen has all the essentials for cooking, 2 burner stove, fridge, sink, storage space, blender, hotpot, cooking utensils, Berkey water filter (please don't bring water bottles we have excellent water here), dining area, sofa. The kitchen deck is a big gazebo and has wifi, yoga mats, instruments, dining table. Occasionally we may have other guests using the kitchen deck.

Our adobe home is on a path farther below the kitchen deck. There we have a garden and the path to the river. We can give mini tours of our SuperAdobe earth home. We also sell farm chocolate, eggs, natural remedies etc. We also offer beginners yoga, salsa and latin percussion classes for $40. Naldo is a masseur and offers epic healing massage for $80 per hour.

This is a food forest and you will be surrounded by fruit trees. We have a hiking path that loops around the farm (about 35 minutes) if you enjoy hiking. We also have two creeks and a river. We have an amazing, crystalline river on the bottom of the farm with 2 epic swimming holes and amazing waterfalls. River access is a challenging 10 minute hike down a steep slope with about 250 steps cut out from the earth with ropes for support. our river is secluded and magical, but only for agile hikers, in sunny weather and at your own risk. The creek is a 1 minute hike from the cob home and has little pools with waterfalls for bathing.

We are 420 and plant medicine friendly, this is a healing space. Our farm is off grid and off road.0 From the asphalt road to the cob house is a 1 minute drive. Vehicles can park next to the kitchen deck. It is essential that you are comfortable walking and living outside on uneven terrain. Finca Remedio is a functioning farm, you will see projects in process and things that need to be done, do not expect luxury. AirBnB is a way to financially support our farm. We appreciate you!

We have 4 dogs, 2 cats and 35 chickens. Our dogs are very loving and safe, but they are guard dogs and do bark. If you are afraid of dogs this is not the space for you. Dog lovers only! Our dogs do not like new dogs, NO PETS allowed.

This is an ideal stay for those wishing to connect with nature, relax, restore, hike, swim, read, meditate, practice yoga, music, birdwatch, eat organic local food, and experience life on a real homestead. Please note this is an earthen home in the jungle. We always thoroughly clean before stays, but if you expect a sterile space or are especially afraid of spiders this is not the stay for you.

Extra guests after 2 people are welcome for $25 per person per night, we can set up 2 cots with sleeping bags and pillows . We also have a glamping deck available for extra guests or people who want deep nature immersion and seclusion.

An authentic Puerto Rican mountain casa complete with many updated features ... an expansive tiled and covered terrace from which you can lounge and take in the beauty of the hills and watch the hawks circling to dive for a meal and a small gazebo by the pool/spa(unheated) Watch the little lizards outside catching tiny bugs, the birds and hear and sometimes see the Puerto Rican owl warbling at night and coquis singing in the rain. A large assortment of tropical flowers, fruits, and plants and you are welcome to pick any fruit or vegetables to eat WHILE YOU ARE HERE. The outdoor fireplace is suitable for wood or charcoal. USE THE FIREPLACE FOR GRILLING(BBQ) . Wood can be purchased for a reasonable fee from Ferdy but we usually just collect it along the road and you can purchase a small bag of charcoal at nearby grocers. Flamboyan store in Angeles is the closest about 2 kilometers. ATM and some groceries and other essentials are there. A bakery is nearby too. Larger Lares is 20 minutes away.

Rio Abajo Forest is a forested preserve in Puerto Rico owned by the Department of Natural Resources. It consists mostly of subtropical . It is home to plant and wildlife species like our "coqui" , endangered species such as the Puerto Rican broad-winged hawk (Buteo platypterus brunnescens), the Puerto Rican boa (Chilabothrus inornatus), and a captive population of critically endangered Puerto Rican parrots (Amazona vittata). Captive parrots are slowly being released into Rio Abajo in an attempt to form a second population.

Casa Sabana is a large and bright home in the lush mountains of Utuado. Each bedroom with A/C! We have plenty of room for gathering large groups, or spending time on your own. The views are breathtaking, and the sounds of nature soul soothing. We have many varieties of fruit that are usually available for harvest. The average temperature is 75 degrees in the mountains. We are minutes away from beautiful waterfalls, caves, lakes and beaches and about a 15 minute drive up the mountain from town.

The space
The house is very large and roomy. Each bedroom has its own COLD A/C!! There is plenty of space for gathering or spending time on your own. The road is paved and great for exercise and nature walks. There is a beautiful trail on the property that leads to a spring with small waterfalls and pools to refresh and explore. There is a beautiful new studio apartment in the back that is unoccupied. This space can also be available for renting if you’re booking for more than 16 guest and interested. Inquiries through the platform will be answered and arranged quickly. We welcome you to the magical Utuado mountains .

Guest access
Entire house with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, multiple terraces, bbq area, fire pit and trails for hiking. We also have a beautiful private studio apartment available for larger groups. If interested in extra space please inquire before booking.

Other things to note
Airbnb only allows for booking up to 16 guest. However, the house is very large and can easily accommodate up to 22 people (24 if you want the studio also) When booking for more than 16 people, please message us before instantly booking so that we can accommodate and schedule appropriately for your group.
