The hotel room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pool area and swim up bar was exceptional also. The only recommendation I would have is that the staff at Sugarfin trained a little better. The service we had at this restaurant definitely lacking. We had incredibly slow service, did not receive correct order, and because of a mixup of the bill, our server received a 40% tip. The place was quiet, up in the mountains, and in a gated community. You will definitely need a vehicle to get around the Island which you can always ask the host for some recommendations. We loved that there was a restaurant nearby and it was walking distance. Our Host (Ms. Ronita) was amazing and was there for our every need. She was easy to communicate with and responded in a timely manner. The only thing we didnt like was the stairs to go down the cottage but overall we place was great. We would definitely come back. "

Blue Vista Too is a comfortable Water Island apartment, that is on the ground floor of our island home, Blue Vista. It is centrally located on the island, and is within walking distance (less than 5 minutes) to Honeymoon Beach, the ferry dock, and Limestone Beach. Blue Vista Too is positioned on a hillside in a private wooded acre lot with its own private drive and a nice view overlooking Limestone Bay. It has recently been refurbished. It has a nicely furnished kitchen with newly updated appliances. It has 1 bedroom with a comfortable king size bed, and 1 full bath. It also has a large screen porch, and small den. The owners have sole access to the villa above, which is separate from Blue Vista Too and is never rented.

Blue Vista Too is on the Caribbean side of Water Island which has open exposure to the gentle trade wind breezes from the East. A large 12x24 screen porch with attached balcony deck provides a terrific staging area to enjoy the view, watch the cruise ships arrive & depart, check out the sail boats and the mega yachts, or simply relax and read a book.

If you're not relaxing on the porch, you have probably down at Honeymoon Beach, one of the top beaches in the Virgin Islands! Bring your bathing suits (we'll provide the beach chairs, towels, & snorkeling gear). Check out Dinghy's Beach Bar for adult beverages & meals, or bring along a picnic and your own beverages.

You might also enjoy walking down to Limestone Beach to do some serious shelling. The access trail is adjacent to our property line. In fact Blue Vista Too is so close to Limestone Beach that you will hear the waves lapping on the shore as you go to sleep in your comfy bed.

Water Island is the smallest of the US Virgin Islands, and is located adjacent to the main harbor of St Thomas. When you arrive at the airport, you'll take a 5 minute taxi ride to Crown Bay Marina to take the Water Island Ferry (5-10 minutes). We will meet you when you arrive at the ferry dock to escort you to your stay here. We will also give you a tour of Blue Vista Too and provide you with any info you may need (such as where to stock-up on your favorite food & beverages). Water Island activites you'll want to enjoy are regularly posted on Facebook under What’s going on Water Island.

It's also fun to take advantage of the regular ferry schedule to go shopping & sightseeing on St Thomas. Or for the more adventurous, charter a sailboat for the day, go on a fishing charter, or visit St John or the other Virgin Islands.

My husband and I with our 3 young adult children, 21,19, 17(now 22,19,18 after our vacation) traveled to Water Island to take a step back from our busy lives and spend quality time together as a family. This is the perfect location to do just that. Tony was the best host!!! Doug, the resident manager, was very pleasant and attentive. He texted us to make sure our flight was on time and met us at the ferry. The transition and getting settled in the house was very smooth. He even shared details of life on the island and told us where to go to find whatever we needed. There were a few minor issues, but he rectified them immediately and the “act of God” we experienced - sargassum seaweed was out of his control. -Internet went out(Doug came right up to the house and reset the router and showed us how to restart it if we had any other issues with the internet) -Needed paper towels(Doug apologized for the inconvenience and brought them right away and even left an extra roll 😊) Something to consider: If you are afraid of bugs or small reptiles then you should probably consider staying in St Thomas at the Ritz Carlton or a tourist location. We saw plenty of tortoises and small lizards at the property and on the island. The only con: The ferry ride back and forth to Water Island can be costly if you are traveling with a large family. Overall great getaway with spectacular views. Hoping to return soon."

We are a leisurely 15 minutes stroll or an easy 3 minutes drive away from the crystal clear Marriott Morning Star beach. For the more adventurous, Red Hook is only a short drive where you can catch the ferry to St John's or the BVI's.

Considering the climate in the Carribean the villa and pool were in good shape and had ample of space for our family of six. I would note that the pool isn’t heated which was a nice refresher during the day, but felt too cold after the sun was gone. Overall we had a great experience!"

Located at the end of Flamingo Point Road, surrounded on 3 sides by the Caribbean Sea, on ~1 acre of property. The home is well off the road, very private and no drive-by traffic. On Flamingo Point you will hear only the sounds of nature and the waves crashing against the rocks below. Our property offers a large grassy area and plenty of space to park/turn around - highly unique feature than other island properties - and lots of room to play outside. There is an outdoor shower on the lower level. Expansive views of the sunsets, St. Croix ~45 miles to the south, Vieques/Culebra/Puerto Rico to the west, and the lights of St. Thomas to the west and northwest.

Our home is a few minutes from the beautiful Honeymoon Beach, Fort Segarro, and Phillips Landing (the landing spot for guests, local residents and others who disembark from the ~8 minute ferry ride to/from St. Thomas and Water Island). Water Island is a walkable island however, guests will need to rent a golf cart (or two, depending on the number of people in your crew) for transportation to/from ferry landing, beach, house, and the 2 restaurants located on Water Island. Rachael's Golf Cart Rentals is located on Water Island. Recommend you reserve your golf cart transportation well in advance of your arrival.

Flamingo Point USVI will accommodate up to 8 persons in the main home. 3 of the 4 bedrooms have direct access to the porch via sliding glass doors. All bedrooms' windows and doors provide views of nature and sea. Each bedroom has king size bed, ceiling fans, linens (2 beach towels, 2 sets of bath/wash cloth/hand towels). King size pillows are hypoallergenic. Bed linens are a minimum 400 threadcount. Some notes: During the pandemic and pool build-out, we took a few years break from renting the Studio (2020-2023), and just started back in 2024....better than ever with the brand new pool and other amenities!!!!! For mobility at this accommodation, you will need to be able to walk some stairs with this being multi-level with a down from the parking space to the 1st floor studio - you will have the floor to yourself with lots of sun and shade tables and seating options. Perfect for 1 couple or 1 person. Not considered child friendly and absolutely No smoking or vaping on the entire property (inside and out - no exceptions and strict policy). There can be power or internet outages as is the case in the islands, but we strive to remedy or enable the generator if a prolonged outage. There is a propane gas grill with a burner (if dining), and the oceanview pool is always a refreshing 80-83 degrees with a tanning ledge, in-pool loungers, and true infinity overflow.

You will absolutely LOVE Morningstar Villa as there is not anything like it in our islands - the award winning designed infinity Pool and location are truly AMAZING.

You can rent one through Rachael’s Rentals or Dinghy’s Beach Bar. The property is located along the path to limestone beach across the street from the campground. This unit is to the left with the brown door down the outside hallway. I will message you the code on the day of check in.

We are located on a peninsula with water views from all villas in different directions. Not just a hotel room. 1000 sq ft to 2000 sq ft. Some guest comments include, "Wow is this all ours?"

Villas have screened in lanais, as well as outside decks for the sun bathers. Honeymoon beach with its white sand and coconut trees is, literally a 2 min. walk away making its beautiful warm waters closer than the pool at some bigger resort hotels. You can actually live in your swimming attire and barefoot for your whole stay if you like!

A 12.5 % hotel tax must be added to the cost of the Price of a villa. This is required by Virgin islands law and will be required by other properties here even if they don't mention it in advance. The newly renovated Cliff Breeze Cottage is a stand-alone cottage located on the south-eastern cliff shore of beautiful Water Island, the little-known 4th U.S. Virgin Island. Just a 5 minute walk to Honeymoon beach and a few beach bars and restaurants. You can also just relax on the beach, swim, or snorkel with some of the sea turtles and marine life that hangout just offshore. There are also golf carts available for rent for exploring Water Island.

The space
The newly renovated Cliff Breeze Cottage is a stand-alone cottage located on the south-eastern cliff shore of beautiful Water Island, the little-known 4th U.S. Virgin Island. The Cottage is cooled year-round by the famous Trade Winds, which blow across the Atlantic from Africa and act as nature’s air conditioning in the Caribbean — hence the name, Cliff Breeze Cottage. Of course, air conditioning is awesome after a little too much sun, and the Cottage is equipped with an a/c unit to take the heat off you in the evenings.

The back porch is kept isolated and private by natural foliage barriers, such that when you are on the back porch, not a soul on the planet can see you. You, however, will have a magnificent view of Sprat Bay, Hassel Island, the southern coast of St. Thomas, Green Cay, Buck Island, and French Cap. You’ll be able to see the national parks on St. John cresting over St. Thomas, and on a clear day, you’ll spot St. Croix rising out of the sea nearly 40 miles to the south. From the porch, you’ll hear the Caribbean waves crashing against the cliff below, and you can take a short stroll to the edge until your close enough to feel the salt spray kiss your face.

If you manage to tire of the view and the breeze, the world-famous Honeymoon Beach in Druif Bay is a short walk away. This beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on Earth. On Honeymoon Beach, we usually have a few beach bars and restaurants (notably Heidi’s Honeymoon Bar & Grill and Dingy’s Beach Bar) where you can order some tasty local food, have a cocktail or ten, or rent a kayak, paddleboard or jet ski. Of course, you can also just lime-out on the beach, swim, or snorkel with some of the sea turtles and marine life that hangout just offshore.

If you want a more secluded beach, you can explore and adventure your way to Tree of Lost Soles and the much-less visited Limestone Beach.

There are also golf carts available for rent, either per day or per week, for exploring or cruising around Water Island.

The Cottage itself is laid-out similar to a studio and has 1 bedroom with 1 queen sized bed and a bathroom and shower. The kitchen and living room are separated from the bedroom, but only slightly by a curtain and not with a door. The living room contains a sleeper sofa with a queen size hide-a-bed.

Maximum guest capacity is 4 people, but please understand that anyone sleeping on the sofa will have to access the bathroom in the bedroom. In other words, 4 very good friends or family will be sharing a cozy space.

The Cottage has a Smart-TV, and we are blasting the best Wi-Fi available in the United States Virgin Islands. If you need some time out of the sea and sun, you can stream any of your favorite shows from Netflix, Hulu, HBO, or Amazon, or you can watch some of the many shows we have available on the Apple TV.

If you want to explore St. Thomas or St. John beaches, bars and restaurants, the Water Island ferry runs from Crown Bay Marina to Water Island and it takes about 15 minutes, usually running on the hour from approximately 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. You’ll need to check ferry schedules with the ferry operator to be certain.

If you want to rent a boat for fishing, snorkeling or island hopping to the British Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico, we know plenty of safe friendly captains with cool boats and fair rates. Just ask.

Finally, if you want to avoid the hassle of your initial grocery shopping trip and would like us to provision the Cottage for you with food, wine and booze, we have a local provisioning company that can source the best and freshest food and drink in the USVI. Again, just ask and we can provide you the details and some estimated prices.
