The fully equipped kitchen, with ample counter space, overlooks the dining area, living room, and a large terrace offering views of the professionally landscaped grounds. The villa comfortably accommodates up to 11 guests with 1 king bed, 3 queen beds, and 3 twin beds. Retiro del Sol is equipped with AC throughout, TV, internet, washer/dryer, beach chairs, and a cooler. The community pool is just steps away for you to cool off after a long day at the beach. Make sure to bring your pickleball gear to enjoy a great match as the community features two courts steps from this villa.

LIVING AREAS

The villa features an open-concept layout connecting the kitchen to the dining area, living room, family room, and terrace. All living areas, with the exception of the rooftop terrace, are situated on the first floor, with plenty of windows providing constant views of palm trees, the meticulously maintained grounds, and endless sky. The family room has a flat-screen TV and A/C throughout. The lovely terrace offers an outdoor dining table to enjoy al fresco dining. A half bathroom is located on this level.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. The master suite, located on the third level, includes a king bed, full bathroom, closet, TV, and A/C. The three additional bedrooms each have a queen-size bed plus a twin bed. There are two bedrooms on the second level and two bedrooms on the third level (the master included). All bathrooms are stocked with complimentary organic amenities and plush resort-style towels. Every bedroom is equipped with AC, personal nightstands, black-out curtains, and a closet.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.

NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.

Building quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please keep noise levels down during these hours out of respect to the neighbors.
Any pool pass lost will carry a $100 charge (per pass).
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 11 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.

You can sit back and enjoy the spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean from either one of the two terraces. Swimming, snorkeling ,paddle boarding and kayaking ( we have kayaks and a paddle board, boogie boards and snorkeling equipment available) can be enjoyed at the private beach which is located 20 steps from the house.
There is championship golf course within a 5
minute drive. Dorado has a variety of restaurants all located within a 5-10 minute drive from the house.
Supermarkets and cinemas are readily accessible.
The house has 5 bedrooms which were remodeled in 2018 (all with new A/C's) consisting ;
bedroom #1; king bed, desk and chair, sofa and ensuite bathroom with ensuite bathroom (this bedroom is on the 1st floor); bedroom #2; king bed, balcony with a view of the beach and ensuite bathroom and a roofless shower; bedroom #3, 1 queen bed and a day bed ( 2 twins) , ensuite bathroom and door to the terrace; bedroom#4, king bed with ensuite bathroom; bedroom #5, 1 queen bed, ensuite bathroom and access to the terrace. Bedroom #4 and #5 share a bathroom but they have separate vanities . Tv/game room upstairs also has A/C and sofa bed. The house has 4 full baths with showers (no bathtubs) and one 1/2 bathroom. She was out of the country for part of our stay but remained in contact with me for any questions and had her friend, Debbie, available if needed. Welcome to our piece of paradise in beautiful Puerto Rico!!! We have recently acquired and completed a full renovation of the villa. The accommodations include two air conditioned bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and a walk-in closet and the other one with two twin size beds. It accommodates six guest by using a queen size air mattress that’s provided. Each of the two bedrooms have an awesome view towards the ocean. The villa has two full bathrooms that have been exquisitely renovated and decorated for your enjoyment. The kitchen is equipped with high-end, full size stainless steel appliances including a gas range, microwave, refrigerator and dish washer. There are also a toaster, coffee maker and blender for your convenience. The laundry room is equipped with full size washer and drier. Necessary detergents are provided. Four beach chairs and a cooler are located in the laundry for you to use. You can buy ice in the complex as well, just contact the security staff and they will sell it to you. Cable TV is provided with multiple English channels. Internet can be accessed in the pool area and in the gazebo in front of the villa. There is a grill in the back terrace for the use of our guest as well. There is even an outdoor shower in case you feel like taking the salt off of you when you come from the beach.

The villa is literally around 100 feet from the beach where you can relax by using some of the lounge chairs provided by the Embassy Suites next door or bring the ones that are provided in the villa. The complex has a kids and a regular size pool. It also has a nice playground if you are traveling with small children. There is security 24/7 in the complex. There are multiple restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive from the villa. There is also a shopping area right outside the community where you can find a grocery store, pharmacies (CVS, Walgreens), fast food, etc.

DORADO DEL MAR

Casa Playa Dorado is situated in the gated resort community of Dorado del Mar. The resort grounds have two beaches, tennis courts, and a basketball court. The community also has a golf course (which is scheduled to reopen in 2020 after concluding with repairs from Hurricane María). Wide streets and well-kept sidewalks make it perfect for jogging. The house is strategically located near the main gate, three blocks from the tennis courts, and a 2-minute car ride from the nearest beaches.

Soak up some sunshine, listen to the waves crashing, and enjoy beautiful sunsets in the two beaches that lie within the resort. The Dorado public beach is child-friendly and features bathrooms and a variety of food/drink vendors. Many of the beaches on the Northern coast are not safe for kids as waves can be very big or there is a dangerous undertow. Due to the presence of a coral reef just offshore, the Dorado beach has gentle waves and no undertow, making it perfect for children!

Our beach house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood (with great neighbors!) so we must respectfully suggest that if you're looking for a party house our home will not be a good fit for you. We welcome families to our home that look forward to spending time by the pool or the beach and wish to explore all the cultural, historic, and natural treasures the islands of Puerto Rico have to offer.

We have exterior security cameras on the property that monitor the front of the house, the alley next to the house, and the rear fence. The pool area is not being monitored. We respect your privacy but we want to ensure that all our guests have a safe stay in our home.

Puerto Rico is an amazingly friendly Island and folks are laid back and on ISLAND TIME.

Guest and Owner will sign an occupancy agreement detailing the terms of the stay. Guest may request a copy of this agreement at any time as it is specific to each Villa rental.

If a guest is bringing a pet we need to know in advance as there may be registration paperwork involved and a pet fee.

This villa has a specific allowance for electricity usage which covers normal use per day. If guests run all zones of AC 24/7, it has happened that guests may exceed the allowance and there is a surcharge for over usage based on actual bills or meter readings upon entry and exit. Excess electricity usage may be deducted from the Security deposit that is on hold with Airbnb. To avoid that please be mindful and turn off the AC units when you are not in the room. Guests are responsible for ALL utilities for stays of a month or more.

If guests stay for longer than two weeks a mid-stay cleaning will be charged an additional cleaning fee.

- "Mari is an amazing host! The house was perfect for our family (with kids) and really appreciated all the nice touches with extra shampoo/conditioner, condiments, coffee, spices, etc. While we didn’t use the pool or beach onsite that much, the golf cart was convenient to get there and the kids loved having it available. On our last night, we learned there was a major power outage- Mari has a generator that kicked right on and kept us comfortable the rest of our stay- we felt very fortunate!"

This ultra-compact studio apartment may be small in size, but it has everything you need for your stay. Our mini studio is close to a mini market and 5 minutes from the nearest shopping center. Our listing is a private casita at the rear of a charming coastal home in Dorado. You will be walking distance to a local beach, a swimming cove, and a nature reserve (also with a beach/cove area, as well as picnic areas and a walking path along the La Plata River). The neighborhood is a typical Puerto Rican coastal community, centrally located in Dorado. You'll be convenient to golf, beaches, mountains, shopping, San Juan, and the airport.

The space
You'll be renting the entire rear casita studio unit. There's a bathroom, a living room/sitting area, a kitchenette, and a bedroom area.

Guest access
Guests will have access to everything in the unit, including the casita itself, the driveway adjacent to the unit (to walk back to the casita from the parking area at the front of the house), and the outdoor area at the entry to the unit. The driveway leading to the casita is the one on the right.

Also, things that are closed and/or locked, are that way for a reason - please refrain from tampering with such items!

Please respect the property as your own and belongings - And if you do damage anything, let us know! We understand that things happen sometimes.

Also, remember that we live in a residential neighborhood - Quiet Hours are from 10pm to 7am- We love to respect our neighbors!

Casita studio is not suitable for children's or pets. If you are bringing one please make sure to tell beforehand.

We are located in a beach town close to restaurants, cafés, hotel and parks! Close to major highways that connect the whole island. Our studio apartment has A/C, hot water and all essentials.

It is an apt that has a small but very nice and practical kitchen, it also has a living room with a 40 ”TV (smart) sofa bed with Netflix already ready and basic cable TV, a small table and wireless charming Pads the 40” Netflix room TV ready and basic cable TV tel chargers next to bed and sofa.

Arrival time 3:00 am and departure time 11:00 but we adjust to the needs of the guest if the arrival time is inconvenient there is no problem they cannot advise in advance the approximate arrival time and we will gladly receive them but the Check-out time cannot be later than 11:00 am

For the Beach: The apartment includes 2 beach chairs, 2 towels, cooler and beach blanket.

Other things to note
This is a private studio apartment. It is prepared for short term and long term rental. It has a full size closet in the bathroom area and enough storage space for clothing for longer stays. Even though the space does not have washer and dryer, I do have in the main house.

Only for weekly stays, 1 time before your check out date I can have your personal items washed and dried, no extra charge. Please notify me in advance so we can schedule a specific day depending on my availability.

For monthly stays, first week laundry service for personal items is free, afterwards it will be a $20 weekly fee for laundry (personal items).
Towels and linens will always be replaced on a weekly basis free of charge.

If you only need to book one night during weekdays, you can contact me and I will verify if changes in calendar can be made to accommodate your request.

If traveling with a small child arrangements can be made.

Our local supermarket has and online/delivery service, which you can schedule to have groceries delivered once you arrive. I can receive them, but this will have to be coordinated with me before placing your order so I can arrange to receive them.

Check in time is at 3:00pm, if you are arriving any time after 12:00am (midnight) and wish access to the apartment, you will need to book the night before.

Booking system works the same as hotels. You can still contact me to make any other arrangements or luggage drop off.

Power Generator: Even though we have a power generator, this doesn’t mean you will have power 24/7 in case of a power outage. You will definitely have power during nighttime. We will turn it on during day time if we deem it necessary. Power outages are rare in this area and usually power is restore within a couple of minutes. We usually give it 10-15 minutes before turning the power generator on.
Water Cistern: If you are staying with us during an emergency where water has been cut off for a prolonged time, you will be asked to ration water usage.

Hopefully none of this will happen during your stay. But if it does, we want you to be as comfortable as possible.
