The apartment stays cool from the hillside and trade winds, but there is also AC in both the bedroom and living room in addition to three fans to keep you comfortable. Every window in the house boasts an ocean view. The large kitchen has a “pay it forward” bar, ice maker, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, chef knives, chopping block, Calphalon cookware, and a full size dishwasher. The living room has a blue tooth music player and a 32” flat screen TV with Amazon fire TV. High quality towels and linens are provided as well as basic necessities in both the bath and kitchen. Beach towels, chairs, coolers, and snorkel gear are also provided.

At the end of the patio a short flight of stairs leads you to two additional levels of decking surrounding a brand new glass mosaic pool. The shimmering iridescent pool is complete with a swim up bar and built in gas grill. Along the back of the pool is a large covered area providing shade for some club and lounge chairs. The smaller awning over the pool bar ensures that there is always some shade to be found within the pool itself. The pool area is the only space that is shared with the main house, but you can expect to have it to yourself most of the time.

Sailor’s Rest is centrally located in St. Croix, so you can get anywhere in 30 minutes and it’s only 4 miles to the shops and restaurants of downtown Christiansted. One of the best parts of this North-central location is that there are two grocery stores and a market within 5-10 minutes! This is a huge advantage over the East End. Moreover, located within the gated community of Judith’s Fancy, you are in one of the safest places on island. This family-oriented community is also a walking/running destination, boasting over 9 miles of private well-maintained roads. Judith’s Fancy also has the best surf break on island. We are sorry but the property is not suitable for young children. Children must be 10 years or older. We are firm on this. There are some large drop offs from the patio and pool which could be very hazardous to toddlers or inquisitive children.

The villa has solar power with battery backup in case of power failures. ROKU, DVD movies and a Wii station are available.

We ventured down the path to Jack Bay and Horseshoe Bay is right there as well - lovely and JUST US! Was like our own personal beach. (we were there the last week of July) 2. Seaside Market is the best grocery store. However, the smaller ones are well stocked but lack variety in meat/produce 3 The Bioluminescent Tour with clear kayaks was a must-do! 4. If you want to enjoy local fun go to Castaways - but be ready for a long wait for your food. It is worth it! We went on Bingo night and Trivia night - was fun. 5. Plan a 'down-day' to just hang at the house/pool - vacations that are go-go-go are tough. We took the last 2 days to relax and everyone went home not exhausted from vacation. 6. If you venture into the rainforest on Mahogany Road be ready for a beautiful but bumpy ride (we had a Jeep). 7. Don't fret about being on the opposite side of the island from the airport - easy drive and the island isn't very big - so getting anywhere from this location is easy.
