- "Loved staying here. It is one block from the beach which was wonderful so we didn't have to pack a lot to tote there. Very spacious. One recommendations would be to replace the king mattress. It is very worn out and caves on both sides with a lump in the middle. Thankfully we only had 2 people so this wasn't an issue. We ended up sleeping on the queen in the guest room, which was much more comfortable. I would also recommend deep cleaning the washing machine as there is some mildew build up that is visible and made clothes smell funny. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would rent again in the future. Felt very clean as well, which is comforting with COVID. MyOceanRental: Thank you for your review and feedback! - "We loved the location and ease of walking the downtown folly beach restaurants, shops and pier. The view was great for being one street off the beachfront. Only critique would be the bath cabinets were peeling and carpet needs replaced. - "We loved everything about this rental except the coffee maker. The coffee maker in this unit leaked terribly causing coffee to go all over the counter. We ended up purchasing a cheap coffee maker to use during our stay. The unit was clean and right on the beach and we could walk to great places to eat in Folly. It was was 22 minutes to downtown Charleston for sightseeing. I would stay here again but I’m bringing my coffee maker!" - "Nice layout with plenty of room for our family. The first floor includes a light filled primary bedroom with king a bed that leads onto the expansive deck overlooking the pool, a queen guest room & ensuite bath along with a 3rd bedroom with queen bed flanked by antique Chinese doors.

Two additional guest rooms, one bunk room with 4 queen beds and another room with a queen bed, on the 2nd level both have private balconies & share a guest full bath adorned with a sculpted banana tree for a touch of whimsy.

Guests can reach the private loft with a daybed on the 3rd level by spiral staircase which includes a half bath. This property is perfect for multi-generational family vacations with its 9 total beds!

An additional spiral staircase off the 3rd level leads you to a spacious newly renovated (2023) rooftop patio! This incredible spot provides the perfect stargazing spot above the tree line & captures a panoramic view of Folly Island from the Folly River to the Atlantic with glorious sunset views!

Pool heating is seasonal ONLY (typically cannot be heated December-February) and any time there are colder temperatures but is available when temperatures are above 60 degrees. - "Serenity Shores was absolutely amazing in every way. It was beautiful, clean and looked exactly like the photos posted. There were 12 of us who stayed there ranging in age from 21 to 82 and everyone was happy and comfortable. Everything we could have possibly wanted or needed was there. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure in the house was great and the kitchen was stocked with every appliance, and kitchen cook ware and utensil you would need to prepare any meal. The washer and dryer worked great and the laundry room was stocked with laundry detergent, clorox and everything you would need to do laundry. The furniture on the front porch, the deck and the pool area was super comfortable. The back yard was amazing and was perfect for us for entertaining. The pool was wonderful and very relaxing, especially at night. There were several grills and a pizza oven. The gym was also a huge hit and the equipment worked great and was perfect for a work out of any intensity. The location was perfect and only a short walk to the pier, beach and local eating establishments. It was safe and we were comfortable walking to the beach and pier at night also. While here, my family had also rented a second vrbo a few houses down from Serenity Shores and a Hotel downtown. Serenity Shores was everyone’s favorite and served as the hangout and meeting place for everyone. In addition, Amanda was an awesome hostess. She was very accommodating and exceeded my expectations."

- "It was very nice. Accommodated all of us. There were no extra Sheets for the pull out. But otherwise had everything we needed. We all enjoyed it very much, this is our 4th year in Folly. And love it" - "The house was only a couple blocks walk to the beach and we appreciated the beach cart and community pool for the kids. We will definitely stay here again!" - "We have stayed in this complex before and love the location and amenities. This unit was lovely - well furnished and very clean. We would definitely stay there again. We did not love Vacasa. 1. I had a question before we went and they were impossible to reach; their email response and phone line indicating they were overwhelmed due to COVID-19. 2. When we checked in, they knew nothing about a garage door opener yet we were expected to park in the garage. We got to the property and there was a garage door opener on the entryway table but it did not work. Every time we needed our car (which was not too often) one of us had to close the garage on the inside, run back inside and leave out the front door (and similar upon returning.) The garage door problem was a hassle but not the end of the world. "

The main level has 2 beautifully appointed bedrooms with a shared full bath. The 3rd bedroom is a master suite with queen bed and private bath. two bathrooms. A second master suite is privately situated on the second level with balcony views of the marsh and access to the rooftop. The European-style bath with open shower, luxurious extra-long Jacuzzi, dual vanities, barn door-style doors, and Japanese shoji sun panels provide a spa-like experience that is hard to match. The western exposure in the evenings provide a sunset backdrop that is picture perfect. Enjoy your coffee or morning yoga on the back deck while listening to the tranquil sounds of the waterfall. This unique home leaves a lasting impression and is one short block from the beach and within walking distance. NO SMOKING . Violators will be fined for in-room smoke damages. Smoking is ONLY permitted outside of the property, but please try to keep at least 10 feet from the doors to keep smoke from trailing inside.

This is a licensed and legal Short Term Rental. Neighborhood quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. If violated the city will issue a $500+ fine. Guests are also responsible for following the City of Folly's Ordinance rules.
