- "This is a blatant misrepresentation of the accommodation, you assume the photo on the advert is the building but it is not. The actual building resembles a derelict house with badly peeling black paint and grubby door and windows in an unattractive area where it feels unsafe to leave your car. The inside is slightly better but has torn flooring, wallpaper that has seen better days, uncomfortable seating, poor shower and cheap linen. The photo of the hot tub is laughable when you look at the reality. Luckily we were only staying one night otherwise we would have found other accommodation."

- "Booked accomodation then checked google earth. Was concerned that the photo in website was not if the property. The property management company contacted me with codes for front and room doors. They also asked for a £100 refundable deposit!!! Area not bad.Parked on a side street. Room clean bright and fresh. Kitchen great for self catering. Wifi fast. The surrounding area is super rough and the only option of parking overnight involves finding somewhere else. There's a triple bunk bed not a double in addition to bunks as advertised and this is in the same room as a kitchenette with the bathroom by the side of the bed. The taps were loose in the bathroom and zero storage other that the kitchen cupboards. So mowhere to place toiletries etc. To add insult to injury on this already overpriced property we were forced to pay a whopping £100 deposit or lose a place to stay which we now have to wait to ve returned. That's a deposit more than the stay without fees! The bottom (double) bunk was impossible for grown adults to sleep in, both of us had to crawl over each other in the night to use to bathroom whilst trying not to hit our heads. Unimpressed and wouldn't recommend "

The Gathering @ Liver House is situated next to a Merseyrail station with regular trains outbound through to midnight.
Once booked, a rental contract is sent for electronic signature. The property is free for self-check-in from 3pm with alternative check-in and check-out arrangements possible depending on availability. A meet and greet for the full group is always arranged.
We do welcome groups at the property but please be aware that our house rules do not allow noise and disturbance outside the property boundary as well as being aware of other people who live nearby.

Both bedrooms have blackout blinds to ensure a restful night’s sleep, and the master includes a Smart TV. The bathroom features a powerful shower, and the whole place is kept to a very high standard of cleanliness with fresh linens provided.

The open-plan kitchen and living area includes a second Smart TV with Netflix, superfast Wi-Fi, and a beautiful oak bench with seating—ideal for dining or working from home. The L-shaped sofa easily transforms into a spacious and comfortable bed for two.

Outside, there’s a private front and back yard with your own entrance and access to a rear car park (just 5 steps up). The entrance hall has a full-length mirror—great for those final outfit or hair checks before heading out!

Just a little note about the house—it’s over 200 years old - While it’s been renovated to be modern and comfortable, older homes like this can feel a little cooler in the winter months. I’ve added oil heaters and made sure the original shutters help keep things cosy, plus there are freshly laundered blankets ready for you to snuggle up on the sofa with. If you're someone who feels the cold, I’d recommend bringing your favourite slippers or some cosy loungewear to make yourself at home.

Sofa bed use: If you're booking for fewer than 5 guests but would like to use the sofa bed, there’s a small one-time additional fee of £20 to cover the extra cleaning and linens from the cleaning company. For groups of 5 or more, this charge doesn’t apply as it's already included in the cleaning setup.

I’m also more than happy to offer early check-in, late check-out, or help with luggage drop-off/pick-up at the house when possible—just drop me a message and I’ll do my best to accommodate!
