The cottage lacked some thoughtful touches that would have enhanced the experience. Basic amenities like tea and coffee were absent, which would have been a welcoming gesture. Lastly, it's important to note that the cottage is about a 30-minute drive from the main local attractions. Centre of the Snowdonia National Park. Great walks from the building, top mountain bike track, white water canoeing, fishing, outdoor space, peace, and quiet. Set on a hillside beside a little stream, plenty of parking. Pub in the village and 10 mins drive from Betws-y-Coed. Lovely village shop open 7am - 7pm. . Totally self-contained with shower, toilet & rustic kitchen.

The space
Carpenters loft room has two pull out full size adult single beds. , shower and toilet. You have the place to yourself, large siting room with full size adult bunks and an extra large sofa as a fifth bed. Carpenters workshop next-door so maybe some occasional noise between 10 am & 4 pm. Rustic workman's kitchen with sink, cooker, fridge, deep freeze, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, and kettle. Good parking for two cars by the door and local walks. Covered veranda by the stream with barbecue, bench, and hammock.

Please note this is not hotel accommodation, it is basic, simple, rural, warm, comfortable accommodation with made-up beds, heating, shower, kitchen, TV & WiFi at a reasonable price. The accommodation is best suited for walkers, climbers, canoeists, cyclists and those who love the outdoors and just want a comfortable, warm and productive space to put their kit and get out into the wild but don't want to camp. Great for mountain bike riders, store for bikes plus bike wash and track 10 mins from loft so no need to put your bike in the car. Chambers at the Old Magistrates is a ground floor modern apartment set in a Victorian Building that used to be an Old Police station and Magistrates Court.
Based in Betws-y-Coed which means "Sanctuary in the Woods" it is also the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park.
We welcome dogs and there is a small private side garden.

Coed-y-Celyn is a beautiful Grade II listed house on the banks of the River Conwy, half a mile from the popular village of Betws-y-Coed, in the heart of Snowdonia.
The Apartment is located on the ground floor with private access from the south facing gardens and parking.
There is one elegant bedroom for a couple or up to 5 people with an en suite bathroom.The large open plan lounge and fully equipped kitchen have views to the garden and across the river valley.Wifi and TV.

The space
Originally built in 1853, the house is full of beautiful Victorian features including white marble fireplaces and ornately plastered ceilings. It is decorated with many fine paintings and antique furniture. With extensive gardens surrounding the house it is ideal for families with children as well as being a quiet romantic place for couples. Plenty of Bike/kayak storage.
