I used the vrbo link to communicate this and got a reply telling me to turn the radiators controls up… The manual advised the heating could be controlled with the thermostat on the wall. This was blank. There must have been a timed control external to the property as the heating came on sometimes. Despite more attempts to contact the owners through the correct channel I got no reply. The owner lived on the property but made no attempt to contact us directly. It’s a shame as otherwise this was a pleasant environment to spend a few days in."

The Gann, located in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park. The nearby Pembrokeshire coastal path running all along the headlands, coves and pretty harbours is easily accessible. Nearby are delightful villages with boating and fishing communities, as well as popular pubs and restaurants dotted along the coast with the buzzing atmosphere in Dale, popular Broad Haven and pretty Little Haven just a short drive away. Perfect location for guests visiting Skomer Island for the Puffins.
The Gann is a ground floor Apartment that formed part of the original Farm House at Slate Mill Lodge. Once parked there are 14 steps down to the back entrance, entre into the fully equipped Kitchen. Fridge, kettle, toaster, oven and hob plenty of cupboard space with condiments and cooking oil. Dining table with seating for 5. Pleasant and social space for cooking and dining.
Left of the Kitchen there is access to a Bathroom, with shower, WC and wash basin. Then onto the twin Bedroom that has chest of drawers.

The small, compact studio is full of character and has been built to a high standard by local award winning builders using our old stone. Lovely reclaimed quarry tiles are laid throughout and it has a
high vaulted ceiling with exposed timbers. There is under floor heating through the property to keep you warm and cosy when necessary!

The entrance to the studio is at the top of an external flight of slate steps with handrail. There is a compact, well equipped galley kitchen with a two zone induction hob, fridge, microwave and storage. This leads to a bedroom with a king sized bed with luxury Hypnos mattress.
There are views towards the coast and Carn Llidi. There is seating, a small table and chairs and a smart TV

The shower room has a slate floor with shower, wc, wash hand basin with an illuminated de-mist mirror and heated towel rail.

Perfect for couples, our bijou studio at just 25 sq.m. is a light space with slate floors, full of contemporary art and mid-century furniture; perhaps the most stylish stable in Solva! It has a mini-kitchenette with dishwasher, wetroom & rainshower, log burner, Wi-Fi and Smart TV.

The studio is located in the garden of Art and Accommodation at Haroldston House in Upper Solva. It is accessed through the hall and garden of the Georgian house, down a flight of stone steps and through the garden.

The space
The garden is for guests' sole use and there is garden furniture, firepit (with barbecue grill) and wood-fired pizza oven (there is also complimentary homemade pizza dough in the fridge icebox to get you started).

You are welcome to enjoy the art in the public spaces of the house, and browse the guide books and information - as well as use the washing machine and dryer.

Check-in is between 3pm and 9pm, with check-out by 11am. We will be around to welcome you on your arrival, and are generally around as we live and work in the house too, and if you would like any suggestions or recommendations.

Haroldston House is carbon neutral and we leave you complimentary provisions for your first breakfast in the fridge.

There is free parking available on the forecourt of the main house with more in a public parking area opposite, approximately 30m up the road. Unfortunately, there is no facility for bike storage in the house or in the garden, as access to the Stable Studio is through the main house.

Haroldston House lies in Pembrokeshire's most picturesque harbour village of Solva. Just a few minutes' walk down the hill to the restaurants, pubs and shops of Solva, as well as the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, we are the ideal holiday base from which to explore the St Davids Peninsula and North Pembrokeshire.

Solva makes an ideal base from which to spend a few days experiencing the beautiful peninsula – whether by touring, coasteering or on Pembrokeshire’s world-famous coastal path, which takes you through the contrasting seascapes of the peninsula’s three shores. Exposed cliffs, beautiful beaches and coves, prehistoric vestiges and the post-industrial landscape of the promontory are all within a few miles of Haroldston House.

The nearest railway station is Haverfordwest (21 km away) and ferry port is Fishguard (26 km away). The T11 bus runs during the day (except Sundays). Search for Traveline Cymru for its timetable or download their app. There are also local taxi companies.

Guest access
The Stable Studio is a private space for guests, as is the garden. Access to it is through the main house, down a steep flight of stairs and through the garden. The house's public areas are full of art and books for you to enjoy. The washing machine and dryer are located down the stairs.

- There is no space to store bikes.

- There is no phone signal on some mobile phone networks, so please bear this in mind if you are on holiday with relatives in other accommodation; however, there is Wi-Fi for other messaging services.
- You are also welcome to use the house phone for dinner reservations etc.
- We would ask you to respect our other guests’ privacy if coming through the house early in the morning or late at night.
- The garden is your private space, but we will water plants and replenish your log store when you are not in residence; the window cleaner will also come once a month, but we will try to let you know when they are due.

A peaceful studio apartment set in Pembrokeshire National Parks, with ample space and parking. Great valley views, located yards from the world famous coastal path adjoining a quiet Handweaving centre and tea rooms open from 10 until 4. The studio is opposite the 300 year old village Inn with beautifully kept gardens. Packed lunches available on request. Dogs always welcome. It is a ground floor studio which has easy access and would be especially beneficial to older travellers as well.

It is a studio flat with fridge and microwave for basic food only. You can cook what you like but there is no oven or hobs, one of the reasons being I don’t want lasting food smells in the area that is also to be slept in, plus we have many great local pubs, cafés and restaurants so you can sample genuine Pembrokeshire food.
