Our 35 acre smallholding is very calm, peaceful and remote. Red kites and buzzards soar overhead and herons, wild duck and geese often visit our secluded lake. The night sky is dark, and the stars are bright.
The accommodation is a light and airy first floor self-contained flat with its own entrance. A stair-lift and wet room make it welcoming for people with limited mobility.
A generous supply of continental breakfast food, with our own free range eggs (when available), is included.

The space
We have a well equipped, centrally heated one bedroom flat. It has an open plan living/kitchen area, a small bedroom (with a 4' double bed) and wet room/shower with grab rails. A good quality fold up single bed, to go in the living area, is also available on request.
The extensive facilities include Superfast Wifi, smart HD TV, DVD player, electrical reclining chair, fridge/freezer and a washer/drier.

Guest access
Access to the property from the local road is via a 300m hard surfaced private lane that is fine for most vehicles, but not suitable for low slung sports cars.
The flat has its own sheltered front door entrance leading to a small lobby and a staircase (with stairlift) up to the main living area on the first floor. There is also access to the grounds via a walkway from the back door of the flat.
Guests are welcome to roam the grounds, and say hello to our friendly horses and goats. There are some fabulous longer walks directly from our property.

Other things to note
We are a foster home for a local sanctuary so sometimes have ponies as well as our own horses.
We have two rescued dogs who are often out and about on our property. We also have two goats, and free range ex battery chickens (no cockerel) who supply your eggs.
The mobile phone signal here is weak, so if you wish to make/receive calls (other than via Whats App or Messenger) then you may need to use the 'Wifi Calling' feature on your phone if you have it.
