A spacious apartment with wonderful sea views and off street private parking. Situated a few minutes walk from the large sandy beach and village. A short drive to the Royal North Devon championship Golf Club. This large comfortable apartment accommodates four people in two bedrooms with a family bathroom and ensuite shower room. Bedroom 2 has zip and link beds. The large living /dining room has magnificent views out to sea towards Lundy Island, the beach and cliffs. The living room is equipped with a TV and DVD and a small blue tooth speaker. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, double oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Linen and towels are provided and the apartment has full gas central heating. Excellent base to discover beautiful North Devon.
Unfortunately No Pets allowed. The flat is not suitable for toddlers and is not kitted out for babies. Minimum stay 4 nights. .........

Charlie was great with first point of contact & replied promptly & communication was spot on. On our arrival we were looked after by Steve & Mel & they were fantastic too & we had no issues at all if we had any concerns they were on hand. The apartment was huge to our surprise and it’s lovely clean , very homely & comfy! We had 2 bedrooms our bedroom was big & had en-suite & we also had main bathroom with shower & kids bedroom had 2 single beds lots of space & wardrobe . The kitchen was good size had large fridge freezer & cooker was gas which is what I preferred . We had amazing sea views from our huge lounge with opening balcony & small outside court with table and x 2 chairs that was beautiful watching the waves in sea whilst having my morning cuppa! Rockpool was 5mins away & Westwood ho beech was waking distance took us no more than 10mins we were surrounded by seaside town with lots shops& restaurants. We definitely recommend this place & will return next summer."

Moorings View is a privately-accessed, luxury apartment at the top of a quirky Arts and Crafts house. It is conveniently situated in the beautiful village of Instow, which sits between the estuaries of the Rivers Taw and Torridge. As yet relatively unknown beyond North Devon, Instow is renowned for beautiful sunsets and lovely sandy beaches.
The light and airy apartment has stunning estuary views from all the main rooms. There are two bedrooms: one has a king-size bed, the other, a double bed and a day bed. We can therefore accommodate an individual, couple(s) or family/friends. There is a spacious sitting room with television and books, a neat, well-equipped kitchen, and a recently-refitted bathroom with bath and efficient shower over.
The apartment benefits from off-road parking and shared use of the main two terraces of the lovely secluded garden with various seats and views. In this garden you may come across your hosts and their two friendly spaniels.
The apartment sits atop one of the most distinctive properties in Instow, built for a retired Admiral and his wife around 1920. It is sited to take advantage of the panoramic views which stretch from Bideford up river, across the Torridge with its many moorings to Appledore, then out into the wide estuary until white horses show the rivers Torridge and Taw meeting the sea at Bideford Bar.

Upper Instow Beach Cottage is a quirky 3-bedroom dog-friendly apartment that accommodates up to 5. The first floor apartment is perfectly located right on the waterfront overlooking the beach at the very popular North Devon village of Instow, which has everything you need within a 5 minute walk, including places to eat such as the Instow Arms and The Boat House, which are just 200m away and offer some of the finest food and local ales.
The pretty estuary beach is right opposite Upper Instow Beach Cottage and most of it is dog-friendly all year round, it is also a great beach for building sand castles. The bustling village is home to art galleries and an excellent deli plus many more great pubs, which can be found along the Marine Parade, which leads to the sailing club and the Tarka Trail, a largely traffic-free cycleway and footpath.
Upper Instow Beach Cottage is located off Marine Parade and has private parking. You access the apartment from the ground floor, where there is a large entrance lobby with cupboards and storage facilities and loads of room for coats and boots. There is a small lift that takes you to the first floor or there are stairs, however, they are a little steep and narrow, so may be difficult to navigate if not able-bodied.
Once you are on the first floor the apartment has a landing area that leads to a bright and spacious living room with large windows along the sea-facing wall offering wonderful views of the beach, across to Appledore and the open sea beyond. The living room has sofas and chairs and a coffee table plus a flat-screen TV. There is a door, which leads to a lovely terrace with table and chairs and amazing views across the beach and Appledore. Beyond the terrace, down a few steps is a small private garden.
The kitchen can be found to the rear of the apartment and has a lovely contemporary feel plus everything you need for family cooking, including a fridge freezer, an electric cooker and a microwave. Next to the kitchen is a useful pantry and opposite is the dining room with gothic style table and chairs and views over the garden.
There are 3 bedrooms at the apartment, these include a double, a twin and a single. All the bedrooms have wardrobes and handy wash-basins. The family bathroom is found at the centre of the apartment and has a bath with overhead shower with massive "waterfall" shower-head, a wash-basin and a loo.
Outside Upper Instow Beach Cottage has a lovely terrace with table and chairs perfect for alfresco dining with stunning views over the beach, Appledore and the sea beyond. There are some steps down to a small, pretty garden. At the front of the house, there is a garage with a fresh water tap ideal for washing off surfboards or muddy boots.
If bringing a dog to the property, please notify us ahead of arrival. There is an additional charge for dogs at this property. If bringing more than one dog, please check before booking that multiple dogs are accepted.

Supermarket and a beach bar with food close as well.lovely upstairs terrace in the sun all day at the cottage. We had sun all week and when not visiting the close pubs and restaurants for food ate there including breakfast. Property comfortable especially as there was only 2 of us. It worked really well for us and clear instructions for arrivals and departures. Only issue whole holiday was access to the property initially and/or during the week if you have a larger vehicle (SUV or similar). The entrance is very tight and due to parked cars from about 9am to 10pm getting enough swing in is a very difficult manoeuvre. All in all very good, not cheap but Devon is not in any case and would recommend this property."

Appledore, with its delightful traditional harbour, an array of shops, and a choice of eateries is very popular with families and couples alike. In high season a small ferry boat runs across the estuary to the neighbouring village of Instow, home to a yacht club and a pleasant sandy beach. For those who want to get out and explore more of the area, there is plenty to see and do within a 15-minute drive of the property, including the harbour town of Appledore, the beach at Westward Ho!, and The Big Sheep family fun park. All-in-all this area makes for a wonderful holiday destination, whether you want a relaxing or fun-filled time. External stairs from the parking area at the front of the property, lead to the front door which opens into the lounge/diner. This lovely light-filled space has a light and airy feel, thanks in part to the fresh-feeling seaside theme of the apartment. A Chesterfield-style (sofa bed available on request at an additional fee) and matching armchairs, offer a relaxing and comfortable place to sit. A comfortable seaside themed decor will greet you on arrival, all areas are furnished to a high standard with amazing sea views from 3 of the 4 main rooms! Walking distance to the beach which is great for surfing or just for a walk or a chill out! The flat has full Wi-fi & Sky TV with full sports package. Local pubs, Cafe’s, restaurants all within walking distance as well. The perfect getaway in North Devon.
The apartment has a Master Bedroom and a second bedroom with two single beds comfortable sleeping 4 in total. There is a blow up mattress bed which can be located in the Lounge to sleep an additional two people making it 6 in total.
VERY IMPORTANT (For the Safety of other residents in the block)
Please make sure the white front door to the communal area is locked when you leave AND after you've entered the building. When entering you can lock the door from the inside using the internal thumb turn lock. When leaving you need to lift the handle up as far as it will go and use the key to lock the door.
RUBBISH
Correct disposal of the rubbish is EXTREMELY important out of respect to fellow owners/residents living in the block. Recycling can be put in the box located inside the utility room(directly in front of you as come out of the door to the apartment, down a few steps), all other general waste can be put in number 5 outside ONLY. It is marked clearly with a number 5. Please refrain from using other residents bins or leaving rubbish out on the landing as it causes a bad smell for other residents.
PARKING
There is one parking spot located on the premised, again, clearly marked with a number 5. Any additional cars over one must be parking on the street. Please do not park in any other parking spaces apart from the one marked 5 as you may risk a fine or removal.

Tucked away down a narrow street just 30 yards from Appledore’s postcard-worthy quay, 1 Quayside offers three floors of sumptuous space, with beautifully decorated bedrooms occupying the top two floors; and the living area, kitchen and dining room laid out on the lower. Cosy and welcoming, this home features an elegant colour palette of charcoals, greys and naturals, with painted wood panelling and whitewashed exposed stone creating an alluring combination of new and old. The ground floor space is divided between a fabulous, amply equipped kitchen and an adjoining dining room that has doors leading out to a suntrap courtyard garden, as well as an inviting living room with glamorous furnishings and fashionable seating.

Perfect location. The cottage had plenty of space for us and our 2 children. It is decorated and styled really nicely, making it comfortable and relaxing to spend time in. The Georgian Lounge is on the 1st floor and has two top quality ensuite bathrooms. a hi end fitted kitchen with built in appliances (including fridge,dishwasher & oven/hob and microwave), internet connected smart TVs (49" in lounge & 32" in both bedrooms) plus luxurious bedrooms that can be configured as a King size bed or two singles.
Our apartments are located on the quay front of the beautiful village of Appledore and offer uninterrupted views across the Taw & Torridge estuary, Appledore is a hidden gem with quality restaurants, pubs that feature live music most nights along with wonderful coffee shops and an award winning deli.
We fell in love with the potential our wonderful grade 2 building offered; so purchased it in 2015, we've spent the last couple years fully renovating the entire property to bring it back to its original glory but to also offer all the comforts required for 21st luxury.
