A spacious apartment with wonderful sea views and off street private parking. Situated a few minutes walk from the large sandy beach and village. A short drive to the Royal North Devon championship Golf Club. This large comfortable apartment accommodates four people in two bedrooms with a family bathroom and ensuite shower room. Bedroom 2 has zip and link beds. The large living /dining room has magnificent views out to sea towards Lundy Island, the beach and cliffs. The living room is equipped with a TV and DVD and a small blue tooth speaker. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, double oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Linen and towels are provided and the apartment has full gas central heating. Excellent base to discover beautiful North Devon.
Unfortunately No Pets allowed. The flat is not suitable for toddlers and is not kitted out for babies. Minimum stay 4 nights. .........

Charlie was great with first point of contact & replied promptly & communication was spot on. The apartment was huge to our surprise and it’s lovely clean , very homely & comfy! We had 2 bedrooms our bedroom was big & had en-suite & we also had main bathroom with shower & kids bedroom had 2 single beds lots of space & wardrobe . The kitchen was good size had large fridge freezer & cooker was gas which is what I preferred . We had amazing sea views from our huge lounge with opening balcony & small outside court with table and x 2 chairs that was beautiful watching the waves in sea whilst having my morning cuppa! Rockpool was 5mins away & Westwood ho beech was waking distance took us no more than 10mins we were surrounded by seaside town with lots shops& restaurants. Moorings View is a privately-accessed, luxury apartment at the top of a quirky Arts and Crafts house. It is conveniently situated in the beautiful village of Instow, which sits between the estuaries of the Rivers Taw and Torridge. As yet relatively unknown beyond North Devon, Instow is renowned for beautiful sunsets and lovely sandy beaches.
The light and airy apartment has stunning estuary views from all the main rooms. There are two bedrooms: one has a king-size bed, the other, a double bed and a day bed. We can therefore accommodate an individual, couple(s) or family/friends. There is a spacious sitting room with television and books, a neat, well-equipped kitchen, and a recently-refitted bathroom with bath and efficient shower over.
The apartment benefits from off-road parking and shared use of the main two terraces of the lovely secluded garden with various seats and views. In this garden you may come across your hosts and their two friendly spaniels.
The apartment sits atop one of the most distinctive properties in Instow, built for a retired Admiral and his wife around 1920. Upper Instow Beach Cottage is a quirky 3-bedroom dog-friendly apartment that accommodates up to 5. The first floor apartment is perfectly located right on the waterfront overlooking the beach at the very popular North Devon village of Instow, which has everything you need within a 5 minute walk, including places to eat such as the Instow Arms and The Boat House, which are just 200m away and offer some of the finest food and local ales.
The pretty estuary beach is right opposite Upper Instow Beach Cottage and most of it is dog-friendly all year round, it is also a great beach for building sand castles. The bustling village is home to art galleries and an excellent deli plus many more great pubs, which can be found along the Marine Parade, which leads to the sailing club and the Tarka Trail, a largely traffic-free cycleway and footpath.
Upper Instow Beach Cottage is located off Marine Parade and has private parking. You access the apartment from the ground floor, where there is a large entrance lobby with cupboards and storage facilities and loads of room for coats and boots. There is a small lift that takes you to the first floor or there are stairs, however, they are a little steep and narrow, so may be difficult to navigate if not able-bodied.
Once you are on the first floor the apartment has a landing area that leads to a bright and spacious living room with large windows along the sea-facing wall offering wonderful views of the beach, across to Appledore and the open sea beyond. The living room has sofas and chairs and a coffee table plus a flat-screen TV. There is a door, which leads to a lovely terrace with table and chairs and amazing views across the beach and Appledore. Beyond the terrace, down a few steps is a small private garden.
The kitchen can be found to the rear of the apartment and has a lovely contemporary feel plus everything you need for family cooking, including a fridge freezer, an electric cooker and a microwave. Next to the kitchen is a useful pantry and opposite is the dining room with gothic style table and chairs and views over the garden.
There are 3 bedrooms at the apartment, these include a double, a twin and a single. All the bedrooms have wardrobes and handy wash-basins. The family bathroom is found at the centre of the apartment and has a bath with overhead shower with massive "waterfall" shower-head, a wash-basin and a loo.
Outside Upper Instow Beach Cottage has a lovely terrace with table and chairs perfect for alfresco dining with stunning views over the beach, Appledore and the sea beyond. There are some steps down to a small, pretty garden. At the front of the house, there is a garage with a fresh water tap ideal for washing off surfboards or muddy boots.
If bringing a dog to the property, please notify us ahead of arrival. There is an additional charge for dogs at this property. If bringing more than one dog, please check before booking that multiple dogs are accepted.

Supermarket and a beach bar with food close as well.lovely upstairs terrace in the sun all day at the cottage. We had sun all week and when not visiting the close pubs and restaurants for food ate there including breakfast. Property comfortable especially as there was only 2 of us. It worked really well for us and clear instructions for arrivals and departures. Only issue whole holiday was access to the property initially and/or during the week if you have a larger vehicle (SUV or similar). The entrance is very tight and due to parked cars from about 9am to 10pm getting enough swing in is a very difficult manoeuvre. All in all very good, not cheap but Devon is not in any case and would recommend this property."

For those who want to get out and explore more of the area, there is plenty to see and do within a 15-minute drive of the property, including the harbour town of Appledore, the beach at Westward Ho!, and The Big Sheep family fun park. All-in-all this area makes for a wonderful holiday destination, whether you want a relaxing or fun-filled time. External stairs from the parking area at the front of the property, lead to the front door which opens into the lounge/diner. This lovely light-filled space has a light and airy feel, thanks in part to the fresh-feeling seaside theme of the apartment. Walking distance to the beach which is great for surfing or just for a walk or a chill out! The flat has full Wi-fi & Sky TV with full sports package. Local pubs, Cafe’s, restaurants all within walking distance as well. The perfect getaway in North Devon.
The apartment has a Master Bedroom and a second bedroom with two single beds comfortable sleeping 4 in total. There is a blow up mattress bed which can be located in the Lounge to sleep an additional two people making it 6 in total.
VERY IMPORTANT (For the Safety of other residents in the block)
Please make sure the white front door to the communal area is locked when you leave AND after you've entered the building. When entering you can lock the door from the inside using the internal thumb turn lock. When leaving you need to lift the handle up as far as it will go and use the key to lock the door.
RUBBISH
Correct disposal of the rubbish is EXTREMELY important out of respect to fellow owners/residents living in the block. Recycling can be put in the box located inside the utility room(directly in front of you as come out of the door to the apartment, down a few steps), all other general waste can be put in number 5 outside ONLY. It is marked clearly with a number 5. Please refrain from using other residents bins or leaving rubbish out on the landing as it causes a bad smell for other residents.
PARKING
There is one parking spot located on the premised, again, clearly marked with a number 5. Any additional cars over one must be parking on the street. Please do not park in any other parking spaces apart from the one marked 5 as you may risk a fine or removal.

Tucked away down a narrow street just 30 yards from Appledore’s postcard-worthy quay, 1 Quayside offers three floors of sumptuous space, with beautifully decorated bedrooms occupying the top two floors; and the living area, kitchen and dining room laid out on the lower. Cosy and welcoming, this home features an elegant colour palette of charcoals, greys and naturals, with painted wood panelling and whitewashed exposed stone creating an alluring combination of new and old. Our apartments are located on the quay front of the beautiful village of Appledore and offer uninterrupted views across the Taw & Torridge estuary, Appledore is a hidden gem with quality restaurants, pubs that feature live music most nights along with wonderful coffee shops and an award winning deli.
We fell in love with the potential our wonderful grade 2 building offered; so purchased it in 2015, we've spent the last couple years fully renovating the entire property to bring it back to its original glory but to also offer all the comforts required for 21st luxury.

- "We have just returned from a great week in Appledore. The large apartment was well equipped with comfy beds and powerful showers. It is ideally located to explore Appledore with beautiful views of the quay and estuary. It was perfect to pop downstairs to the Deli below for fresh pastries for breakfast and to explore neighbouring areas either by foot, car or by the little ferry across to Instow. We booked dinner at The Yard (Tapas) and The Flame Factory (pizza) in Appledore well in advance and would recommend both. We would also recommend the Coffee Cabin, which do great sandwiches and coffee. We really enjoyed the walk along the coast path to the beach at Northam Burroughs and the beach at Croyde and the village of Clovelly are definitely worth a visit. Overall a perfectly situated apartment providing an excellent base to explore beautiful North Devon."

A well appointed second floor apartment in a great position on the Quay in the picturesque fishing village of Appledore. Both the main living area and one of the bedrooms has the most wonderful views out over the estuary towards the popular beach resort and watersports centre of Instow(a small walk on ferry is available in season for crossing the estuary). There is always something to view on the estuary as the tide ebs and flows including a variety of sailing boats,kite surfing and canoeing. With great facilities including two bedrooms with ensuite facilities and flexible sleeping this is an ideal property for both couples and small families. Appledore offers a wonderful choice of individual shops, cafes,restaurants and pubs and this apartment is situated above a delightful cafe and delicatessen. Located just two miles from the A39, midway between Bideford and Bude, The Captain's Quarters, Woolsery is ideally located to explore both Devon and Cornwall. With free parking, the apartment has its own private entrance, is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen, comfy lounge area, king-size bed in the bedroom area and a luxurious rainfall shower in the ensuite. There is a small decked balcony to enjoy sunsets on. We are able to provide a cot on request and are also dog friendly. A gentle walk to Westward Ho village and the beach, means all the family can do this.. just park at the house and relax! What we love about this property is the close proximity to the beach without the hassles of parking during the summer.

The location was brilliant apart from roadworks along the road during our stay (which was unfortunate but couldn’t be helped) everything was in walking distance. The walk from the beach was uphill so you need to be aware if you struggle walking. There were plenty of food options nearby and we mixed eating in with eating out, there was a large patio outside the apartment so this was easy. Would recommend as a good place to stay. "

Access via key lock through to shared hall. On entering, we were greeted by the large ground floor, apartment. Recently decorated and spotlessly clean. Area in the hall to hang coats and leave shoes. Kitchen contains dining table and four chairs. Oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, washing machine, dish washer. Plenty of plates, glasses, cutlery, pans, and utensils. Folders contain suggestions of where to visit/eat/walk etc. Also operating instructions which I overlooked and were really helpful! Lounge Massive room contains lots of seating including 2 double sofas, side tables, large windows with curtains. TV / DVD player DVDs, books, board games Family bathroom looks brand new – toilet, sink and bath with shower attachment. Heated towel rack, even under floor heating. Main bedroom large room with plenty of storage, large mirror, tv, 3 large windows with blinds. Amazing watching the waves on the sea in the distance. En Suite looks brand new. - "The apartment is easy to find, and parking is within a few yards of the door. The apartment was spotlessly clean, equipped with everything you could possibly need, and felt like a real home as opposed to a holiday let. Everything is good quality with little expense spared in fitting it out. The location is spectacular, with great views across the estuary. We went out of season but in warmer weather the balcony would be a great spot to sit. Good quality balcony furniture is provided. The Tarka Trail is a few yards from the door, and a very pleasant walk to Bideford along the Trail takes about an hour. Instow is a nice place, and we will probably visit again; if so we would definitely opt for this apartment. It's faultless."

Located on the water’s edge, this two-bedroom self-contained apartment is perfect for couples or a small group of friends. Spend time exploring the local area, experience the delights of Appledore itself, or simply spend time together on the waterfront balcony watching the world go by with a cheeky bottle of rose!
A well-equipped kitchen means you can really make the most of the local seafood, a quick visit to the superb delis and bakeries in Appledore and you will soon be cooking up a storm with the freshest ingredients. When it is time for someone else to cook, a five-minute stroll into the village and you will find a range of restaurants to suit everyone’s tastes.
If you can drag yourself away from the views, head out and about. The local dune system is worth exploring and especially popular with walkers or follow the southwest path and head over to Instow, the village just across the estuary, where you can also pay a visit to Tapley gardens. If the walk back seems a bit much, you can hop on the ferry back to Appledore.
Sleep soundly in the master bedroom with its own views across the estuary and private access to the terrace. Wake up slowly with a cup of tea and watch the fishermen on the estuary begin their working day.
Fancy a dip, head to the slipway, just 1 minutes away and join the locals for an early morning swim before breakfast. That will work up an appetite! Then look forward to another day of doing exactly as you please …..

The space
Greenfinch is a first floor apartment with stunning countryside views, with a double room with ensuite bathroom and a twin room with ensuite shower room. You will also find a kitchenette ideal for cooking for a quiet night in along with a living area to sit back and watch tv.

The space
The pretty pink exterior paves the way to an equally stunning interior. Think soft colour tones, quirky artwork and seascape décor to enrich the waterside location.
Step inside through the lavender stable door and into the powder blue kitchen, complete with everything you should need to prepare hearty meals during your stay. In keeping with the theme, there is a pink Lacanche cooker, Nespresso machine, wine cooler, Smeg toaster and kettle, dishwasher, washing machine and a large fridge/freezer. You will also have access to a handy two-seater breakfast bar, perfect for quick bite to eat before a day at the beach.
The living room features a cosy, hand-crafted sofa with enough space for two, plus a comfortable armchair. The space
Ship Ahoy! a ground floor apartment within a beautiful, early 19th century Georgian house, once owned by a local shipowner. The conversion has kept many of the original features, so expect high ceilings, and lots of space, which includes lounge, kitchen/diner, bedroom and bathroom.
Access: The apartment is on a single ground floor level, although there are two steps from the street level to the front door.
Welcome to our coastal retreat. West Quay House offers breathtaking uninterrupted views across the ever changing seascape of the rivers Taw and Torridge estuary as they meet the Atlantic. The view is dynamic as the tide rises and falls bringing the sea to within 2m of the house at high tide and revealing the estuary rocks and sands at low tide.
The ground floor apartment has a sea view from the master bedroom and a few steps within, but there are no stairs to navigate.
The space
West Quay House offers all modern comforts. The decor is fresh with a coastal influence that reflects the narrative of this grade II listed building and the contemporary top floor extension. It is divided into two apartments with a common entrance, both offer sea views. The ground floor apartment has character and no wall is straight! The lounge is cosy, there is a sea view from the main bedroom and a secluded courtyard.

The ground floor apartment has a double bedroom with sea views, a snug lounge, south facing light flooded dining space, galley kitchen, shower room with separate WC and a second bedroom with one double bed and a single bed. There is access to the back yard which offers a secluded sun spot, great for hanging out washing or wetsuits.
Please note, this is a grade 2 listed property and is on different levels, there are 2 sets of 2 steps within the property.
Other things to note
West Quay House is in Irsha Street near the centre of West Quay and is between the Beaver Inn and the Royal George pubs. The Beaver offers real ale, good food, live music, a pool table and crazy golf.
The Royal George has been recently renovated and promises gastronomic delights cooked with locally sourced food, it is listed in 'The Times' as a place to eat in the South West October 2020.

Our property is a real home from home. My husband and I have lived here for over 30yrs. We are extremely lucky to have probably the best view in Appledore, and although the village is extremely
welcoming, you will probably find yourselves sat on our comfy sofa, with a drink of your choice, staring out at the spectacular uninterrupted views where the Rivers of Taw and Torridge meet, with Northam Burrows and Westward Ho! and beyond to Saunton Sands Beach and Burrows, Instow and Exmoor.
The space
Our apartment is based in a block of 15. The accommodation on offer is placed on the 3rd floor, due to being built on a hill it still has almost flat access to the front door. Our direct neighbours have lived next door for over 20 years. There is a short cut of 10 minutes to the village centre, and 5 minutes to two fab pubs both of which serve amazing food, including fresh locally caught fish and seafood, the walk down involves long steps that lead along a path from our property there is also a road that leads to the village with large car park with plenty of parking in the village.
Our property has plenty of free parking in a car park, with a few steps down then almost level walk to the front door. We are an adults only property.
Our property has a fully equipped kitchen, I love to cook, so store cupboard items, spices, pasta, flour etc, are available for you to use whilst at the property.
We will also leave Tea and Coffee and milk to get you started.
Separate toilet with toilet rolls provided and cleaning products.
Our bathroom has a large modern walk in shower with electric shower and wash hand basin.
Cupboard has plenty of complimentary toiletries, and cleaning products.
There is NO Bath.

You will need to bring your own beach towels.
If you have long hair it might be advisable to bring an extra towel, as drying areas are limited.
There is an outside washing line and pegs.
Along the hallway is your double Bedroom, which has stunning views across the estuary and beyond. There is hanging space in the room. Also mirror and plenty of sockets.
There is coat hanging space in the hall area, just inside the front door.
Also provided for your use is a Shoe/Boot Tray for you to offload those sandy boots, shoes and flipflops!
The hall leads onto a spacious kitchen, with hopefully everything you will need, it has a washing machine, ceramic hob and eye level oven. Fridge freezer, pots, pans and dishes.
There is a large breakfast bar with seating that doubles up as a big work surface........but we hope you will frequent the village, it has plenty of food and drink options, as does WestwardHo! Bideford and beyond.
We hope that you enjoy our home, it is not a 4 star hotel, but sure feels like it to us, cosy and welcoming.
We ask that you always remove your shoes at the front door, and any spills however small or accidental are cleaned up immediately. There are always plenty of wet wipes under the sink, along with any cleaning products you may need.
We are a completely Non Smoking property and ask that if you smoke or Vap you do so at the end of the walkway away from the immediate neighbours.
There is NO gas on the premises, so no carbon monoxide detector required.
We have to adhere to all the recycling rules set out by our local authority and need all our guests to be on board with this.

There is plenty of residents carparking adjacent to the property. A few steps down and along a path will bring you to the front door. If you have any queries about access please see the photos.
