Coral Gables is an elegantly laid out, pedestrian-friendly city filled with tropical foliage, charming boutiques and architectural grandeur. Historic landmarks such as the Biltmore Hotel and Merrick Park provide an insight on the the history of the City Beautiful, while the crystalline Venetian Pool provides relaxation in a setting of exquisite beauty.

The airport is 10 minutes away. My recommendation is rent a car or Uber/Lyft, free parking is included. There are also buses ( five minutes away walking) , some are free some are just 3 dollars the ride and they will take you around Miami. However the bus is not very fast so you are free to decide which one is your best transportation method.

- "We loved our stay at this property. It’s a characterful house with enough space for three (or four) and a perfect stay in order to discover Miami. Most if the hot spots are within 20 minutes drive and all daily necessarities within walking distance. Which is great as the neighbourhood is very clean and safe. You could even do everything by Miami Trolley, a free bus system (but it takes time…) Check in had some struggles is and some things didn’t work (correctly) like the coffee machine or the TV. But Maria reacted fast and solved all problems! Especially the communiation with her was very good, friendly and pleasent. The furniture is a bit older and could need some refurbishment (especially the kitchen) but that was no problem for us. We definitely recommend this location and if ever we’ll come back - this is our space in Miami."

- "My house was being tented and I needed to be somewhere for 4 nights with my cats. This apartment was perfect. It was spacious, the bedroom is large with two beds. Nice kitchen. Just great. In nice neighborhood a few blocks from the center of Coral Gables. The host Manuel was also awesome." - "Superb location in Coral Gables. Property was clean and accurately represented. The furniture needs to be upgraded. Great stay." - "When I checked in at4:00 the maintenance guy was there cleaning the stovetop. It had been left a mess by the prior renter but should have been cleaned earlier. After looking around we discovered the water flow in the kitchen sink was just a dribble, the glass window in the washer was broken with a jagged edge and not useable, the bathtub had peeling paint and chilies in it, many of the dishware needed cleaning and the floor had debris in places including under the coffee table, and the door sweep on the front door was falling off. The owner offered to fix everything but after the maintenance guy left, only the door sweep was fixed. The owner did refund the cleaning deposit but the unit should have been cleaned and inspected before we got there."

- "In mid-December, I made a reservation for March 1-3. Days before my trip, I received clear details and the location, code for the front door lock, info on TV, Wifi, AC nd such. When I arrived at about 4:00 pm and entered the unit, it was filthy and a previous occupant clearly had not moved out. I used the VRBO app to try to contact the manager by email and phone, but received no reply. I used the chatbot on the app to seek VRBO help, but the app just directed to the property manager. I attended my scheduled event, but continued to try to reach the manager and later tried the chat bot again. The bot gave me a customer service number to call. I reached Matt who worked hard to help me, but he got no response from the manager, either. At one point, our call was cut off. When I called back, I reached Alexandra, who also was great. When she went offline to seek info, mat called back to report still no response. Since it was after 11:00 he agreed there was no chance of another placement that night and I might as well get a hotel room. Immediately as I disconnected from Matt, Alexandra called back. She had discovered the property no longer was connected to VRBO and the manager simply had kept my payment. She refunded the payment and cancelled the rental. She she arranged for a one night hotel credit, but I didn't see that email until I already had checked in at a hotel. To get the credit, I would have had to book the hotel through Expedia. Their customer service was excellent."

This Douglas-Trager House, designed by H.George Fink, built by John Douglas for his wife Rosell in 1927, is a historic House and outstanding work of a prominent designer.

Fully-equipped kitchen, linen, towels, and some courtesy toiletries for the beginning of your stay are supplied (we do not do replacements). Although we do not provide daily cleaning, if you wish to have an extra cleaning in the middle of your stay, please let us know, and will be arranged for an extra charge.

Location: Close to everything: Brickell, Coconut Grove, Dadeland, the airport, highways*walking distance to restaurants, markets, theaters, offices, shops*, easily accessible by public transportation including free ones, such as freebie and city trolley.
