Coral Gables is an elegantly laid out, pedestrian-friendly city filled with tropical foliage, charming boutiques and architectural grandeur. Historic landmarks such as the Biltmore Hotel and Merrick Park provide an insight on the the history of the City Beautiful, while the crystalline Venetian Pool provides relaxation in a setting of exquisite beauty.

The airport is 10 minutes away. My recommendation is rent a car or Uber/Lyft, free parking is included. There are also buses ( five minutes away walking) , some are free some are just 3 dollars the ride and they will take you around Miami. However the bus is not very fast so you are free to decide which one is your best transportation method.

Most if the hot spots are within 20 minutes drive and all daily necessarities within walking distance. Which is great as the neighbourhood is very clean and safe. You could even do everything by Miami Trolley, a free bus system (but it takes time…) Check in had some struggles is and some things didn’t work (correctly) like the coffee machine or the TV. But Maria reacted fast and solved all problems! Especially the communiation with her was very good, friendly and pleasent. The furniture is a bit older and could need some refurbishment (especially the kitchen) but that was no problem for us. We definitely recommend this location and if ever we’ll come back - this is our space in Miami."

The owner offered to fix everything but after the maintenance guy left, only the door sweep was fixed. The owner did refund the cleaning deposit but the unit should have been cleaned and inspected before we got there."

We liked preparing breakfast and some meals, relaxing on the balcony overlooking the courtyard with pool, and walking to shops, great restaurants and local sites. We walked to the Merrick House and Venetian Pool, and got to know a little of the history of this still independent city within Miami city limits. Check out the Coral Gables Museum just down the street - it's well worth it. We did easy day trips to Miami Beach, University of Miami campus, Coconut Grove, and Everglades National Park."

- "In mid-December, I made a reservation for March 1-3. Days before my trip, I received clear details and the location, code for the front door lock, info on TV, Wifi, AC nd such. When I arrived at about 4:00 pm and entered the unit, it was filthy and a previous occupant clearly had not moved out. I used the VRBO app to try to contact the manager by email and phone, but received no reply. I used the chatbot on the app to seek VRBO help, but the app just directed to the property manager. I attended my scheduled event, but continued to try to reach the manager and later tried the chat bot again. The bot gave me a customer service number to call. I reached Matt who worked hard to help me, but he got no response from the manager, either. At one point, our call was cut off. When I called back, I reached Alexandra, who also was great. When she went offline to seek info, mat called back to report still no response. Since it was after 11:00 he agreed there was no chance of another placement that night and I might as well get a hotel room. Immediately as I disconnected from Matt, Alexandra called back. She had discovered the property no longer was connected to VRBO and the manager simply had kept my payment. She refunded the payment and cancelled the rental. She she arranged for a one night hotel credit, but I didn't see that email until I already had checked in at a hotel. To get the credit, I would have had to book the hotel through Expedia. Their customer service was excellent."

Located in the heart of historic Coral Gables in Miami, this very spacious 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment will make you feel as if you lived here. Within walking or bicycling distance to all of the best restaurants in town, 1/2 a mile from Miracle Mile and two walking blocks away from world famous cuban restaurants "La Carreta" & "Versailles". It is also within the business district's city limits, making it a very convenient stay for business travelers & couples. Email us for any special request.
The space
The place is simple, very clean and practical with a an eclectic Arts and Crafts look and feel. All items in every one of our apartments has been very carefully sought out thinking first in practicality and secondly a traveler's mindset.
The beds are our pride. All our mattresses conform to a wonderful night's sleep and all our linens and towels are percale egyptian cotton of the very best quality, NO microfiber or polyester at all.
Guest access
Upon receiving your ID's, you will be provided an entry code. You must then provide us with the size of the car you are bringing. We will then assign you a permanent spot for your entire stay. The parking is on the premises. There is also plenty of street parking in case your group brought more vehicles. The apartment is very centrally located and all types of transportation are close by to be able to get around easily in whatever manner you desire.
Other things to note
Please note that Miami is a huge urban city. It has long ago stopped being the quaint big town full of mostly cubans prior to the Mariel Exodus. There are communities from every country of South America and the Caribbean making it such a diverse, controversial city and it has become more elite than California, more artsy and foodie than New York and almost as Chic as Paris (nothing is as Chic as Paris!) You can find A N Y T H I N G in this amazing great, big town called Miami and there is truly much more to it than "the beach experience". Nevertheless, we understand that some travelers are only looking for the beach experience. In this case; we highly recommend staying at the beach, simply due to not being able to provide the beach experience; any stay in any of our apartments will fall short of your expectations. Understand that while you will get the beach experience at the beach; you will also be far from everything else, including the airport and good shopping areas.
