After contacting the owner, we were "amended" another unit on the property. The amended unit was used prior to being given to us, leftover food in the fridge, dirty dishes, uncleaned bed. I call the owner again to give a condition status. For 2 hours we were on the phone trying to sort out an issue we should not have been dealing with in the first place. They told us they will come by and clean the amended unit and to go out for the evening. Now it is 8PM and both my wife and I are exhausted after traveling all day from 7 in the morning to 8 in the evening, hoping to get rest we are told to go out again. With no other choice we went out and came back to the property at 11:30PM. They were just leaving, and both my wife and I were very disgruntled as we needed to rest after being out all day and were attending to business the next day. In the end I contacted the owner to get compensation about the condition and was told the amended unit was enough compensation. We were told a refund was "too much", and that they were going to get back in contact with me regarding the situation but now is almost a month later, never followed up. Disappointed with my experience."

- "The room was adorable and so cozy. Check in was easy, it’s on a separate property but it’s walking distance. 2 doors down maybe. We stayed on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. It is a 1 minute or less walk/bike ride to the river so on top of being in a cute little nook, there was plenty of bike riding, walking, hiking for us to do. I normally stay at chain hotels, and I am miserable EVERY time. However, the only complaint I have here is the batteries in the remote were dead. Easy fix for the amazing night of sleep I had no idea I was in for that night. The property is quaint and welcoming, but parking is tight. If you like to call the hotel desk and complain a lot or ask for things throughout your stay, this is not the one for you. It’s very simple, but loaded with convenience as far as the amenities in the room and the beauty/nature of the area. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a cute, quiet stay right by the water in south Florida. - "Just stayed for 3 nights with my wife and the only regret I have is not having found Anna’s cottage years ago. This little cottage is a taste of old Florida nestled in the best location to enjoy the beach, boating, fishing and great waterfront restaurants all within walking distance. Go have ice cream at Cones and Coffee!!! We took our 24’ Pathfinder, which I think was just about as big as I would go with the parking space available. Bay boat or flats would work best due to the dock space at low tide. A deep v would probably be left dry at low. Anna is a sweetheart and the cottage is perfect for two. It’s clean and has everything you need, including a washer and dryer. Beautiful views in the evening, bring bug spray if you plan to spend time on the dock at sunset."
