We booked at Benzen Mansion to escape Hurricane Milton, which was bearing down on our hometown. The operators made us feel welcome and comfortable."

Front Suite: The front suite is attached to the main section of the home through a secret door but also has a private entrance through the front door of the home. There is a King-sized bed, Roku remote-controlled TV, a kitchenette, and an en-suite bathroom. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge/freezer, a microwave, a Keurig coffee machine, and a set of 2 plates, bowls, cups, and silverware for eating. There is also a fold-up table mounted on the wall if guests would like to eat there using the stools we provide.

Kitchen and Living Area: The Lion’s Lodge living area in the main home and also in the detached building both include a Roku/Xfinity TV service where guests can sign in and watch using their favorite streaming services. The area includes various board games for your entertainment! The main home and detached building both have kitchens that are fully equipped with all your cooking necessities, including a full set of pots, pans, oven pans, cutting boards, utensils, a knife set, and basic spices. There are also plates, bowls, cups, containers, silverware, toasters, microwaves, and Keurig Coffee makers.

Bedrooms: There are four total bedrooms. The front suite holds a King-sized bed. The master bedroom in the main home has a King-sized bed. The second bedroom in the main home has a bunk bed and a twin-size trundle bed that can slide out from underneath. The top bunk is a twin-sized bed, and the bottom bunk is a full-sized bed. The bedroom in the detached building has a King-sized bed. Both black couches in the living area of the main house and detached building are full-sized pull-out beds. The quantity of bedrooms and pull-out couches allows a total of 12 guests to sleep comfortably. Each bedroom has a full-sized closet with a large walk-in closet in the bedroom of the detached building.

This renovated, modern/rustic studio style, Lake House Guest Cottage is located directly across the street from Lake Osborne. It is a separate space from the main house where the owners live. It is nestled behind a fence in the back yard of the main house and has its own private entrance, patio area and space to park one car. From the cottage entrance, you will have a view of the lush gardens that surround an in-ground salt water pool. The back yard and pool are shared spaces with the owner and can be used by guests at their leisure.

The Guest Cottage is open concept where the sleeping area, small dining area and kitchen are all within the same space with the exception of the bathroom that's located through a door just off the kitchen.

SLEEPING AREA: There is a comfortable, high quality queen size mattress. Cotton sheets, gel memory foam pillows, and micro plush blankets are provided. In addition there is an armoire with hangers for hanging clothes and storing shoes, a full size ironing board and iron, alarm clock, two bed side tables with lamps that have outlets for charging your phones and or other electronic devices, A/C, heat, ceiling fans over sleeping area and kitchen. The sleeper sofa/ futon serves as a sitting area during the day. For your viewing pleasure, an Insignia 32-inch Smart Full HD 1080p Fire TV is provided with premium cable channels or you can access your own streaming accounts like Netflix .

DINING AREA: There is a small table with two chairs for dining. The table can open up to fit an additional guest.

KITCHEN AREA: There is a well equipped kitchen to prepare your meals that includes a full size sink, 4 burner electric induction cooktop, microwave oven, medium size refrigerator/ freezer, 4 cup drip coffee maker, and toaster. Additional items included are pots, pans, dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, mugs, large and small beverage cups, eating utensils and an array of cooking utensils, a cutting board, colander, salt, pepper, hot sauce and olive oil. An added bonus is the coffee bar area where you can enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, sugar substitute, creamer and down below plenty of baskets to store groceries. Paper towels, napkins, kitchen towels and oven mitts are provided and there are is also additional kitchen cabinets to store groceries or other items. Enjoy the colorful view out the kitchen window of the garden and pool area.

Bathroom: This cozy modern/rustic bathroom comes equipped with a corner shower with a glass enclosure, ceramic tile and pebble stone floor. There is a sink, mirror and an under sink cabinet with a blow dryer. The toilet area has an additional mirrored cabinet over the toilet for storing your toiletries and there's a corner hutch where you'll find a magnified makeup mirror, tissues and extra rolls of toilet paper. Fresh towels, hand towels and wash cloths are provided for each guest as well as sample size toiletries.

OUTDOOR: Just outside the entrance to the Lake House Guest Cottage, there are two patio chairs and a table for relaxing and having a cup of coffee in the morning or a bite to eat and a drink in the evening while taking in the view of the garden and pool area. When you're ready to explore the neighborhood and lake, simply go out the same gate you came through, cross the street( Lake Osborne Dr.), and walk over beyond the wooden fence to the paved path where you can take a stroll and take in the breathtaking views of Lake Osborne. When facing the lake, you can walk to your right for approximately 0.2 miles or about 11 houses down, you'll find the entrance to J Duvall McMillen Park. Here you'll find plenty of shade trees, a couple picnic tables with BBQ grill, an area of white sand to lay down a towel or blanket and relax as you look out over the lake. There is also a small enclosed play area for children and a circular paved path around the park for walking.

Guest access
The Lake House Guest Cottage is for your own private use. It is located behind the main house and is surrounded by a fence. You will enter through a gate located on the left side of the property that has a sign that says " Lake House Entrance " (Please keep this gate closed at all times) Once past the gate, follow the curved path up to the entrance with a big WELCOME sign. There is a keypad to the left of the entry door that you can open with a code that you shall be provided with a couple days prior to the start of your stay. We also provide a lockbox with a key as backup. Lost keys will result in a $50 charge.

The small patio area with 2 chairs, a table and a gas grill directly in front of the cottage entrance are for your own private use. The backyard and pool are shared spaces with the owner. The covered patio area and outdoor kitchen attached to the back of the main house are for the owners private use.

There is space to park one vehicle on the property near the entry gate to the cottage. No trailers, boats or additional vehicles are allowed. During the day, you may also park your car for free directly in front of the lake that is located on the opposite side of the property.

Please note that only the registered and confirmed Air bnb guests are allowed on the property or in the pool as only they are covered under Air bnb's air cover insurance. No outside guests please! Thank you!

This Lakehouse Guest Cottage is not equipped to receive handicapped guests in wheelchairs or walkers due to narrow pathways both inside and outside the property.

At the present time we are only hosting stays of 3-7 nights. A couple extra days, if needed, can be arranged with a previous request by the guest and approval by host.

Only one small or mid size car is permitted to be parked in the designated parking space for guests. No recreational vehicles, commercial trucks, boats, vans or buses are allowed.

Welcome to Saltwater Suite - a private getaway in one of “America’s Happiest Seaside Towns”! Saltwater Suite is a brand new (Dec 2024) 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment, just a 3 mile ride to downtown Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. Named “Florida’s Best Beach” for its cleanliness and pristine ocean water all year round, your visit couldn’t come at a better time! Salt water has a way of healing and rejuvenating, and we have no doubt your stay at Saltwater Suite will be refreshing and memorable.

The space
Saltwater suite was built in December 2024, atop a detached garage on our near 1 acre private property in Delray Beach. The community is quiet, clean, and safe and the guest quarters are completely separate from our existing home. Guests have their own driveway and their own private entrance, which is not accessible by anyone during the stay. Please note, the apartment is not handicap accessible, as there is a staircase (without a ramp) to access the apartment.

After ascending the stairs, guests will be greeted by a light filled living room, with a flat screen tv and a comfortable sofa that pulls out to a queen sized extra bed. There is a full kitchen, stocked with the essential cooking and dining items, and equipped with stainless steel appliances - electric oven/stove, refrigerator/freezer, as well as a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker. There is a dining table with two chairs inside. There is a large balcony off of the kitchen with two chairs and a small table outside, allowing guests to sip their coffee or adult beverages while soaking in some extra sunshine! The master bedroom has a king sized bed, flat screen tv, dresser and closet. The spacious bathroom features a gorgeous tiled shower with glass doors.

Household linens will be provided - bathroom and kitchen towels as well as bed sheets for both beds. During their stay, guests will have the option of having clothes laundered and folded for an extra charge. Beach towels and a beach bag are available for use (complimentary) as well as sand toys (upon request).

The property is a walkable distance to a Publix food store as well as Dunkin Donuts and a few popular shopping centers. It is just a short 3 mile drive or uber ride to the ever-popular downtown Atlantic Avenue, which is bustling with trendy restaurants, fun bars, shopping boutiques, water sports and activities for all ages. In addition, check the calendar of events at Old School Square, as this outdoor downtown locale hosts a weekly farmer’s market, a monthly yoga festival, in addition to art shows, music concerts, food festivals and holiday parades for adults and children alike. It is no wonder that Delray Beach was named, amongst other titles, the “Most Fun Small Town in the USA”, as there is so much to do for everyone! Just be careful when you’re sitting at the Fire Pit. If using the Gas Fire Pit, please remember to turn the Gas off!

IMPORTANT: Our home is nestled in a residential neighborhood. This is the unincorporated part of Parkland.

-These neighborhoods are on a personal well water system. Water Pressure is decent.

Aside from our 2 golden retrievers, we have (6) chickens. Please do not stay here if you have issues with dogs. Our dogs have access to the property at all times. Also, we are home all the time. We will leave you alone, however, you will see us. We check on the chickens daily and fill their food and water. You also have to drive by the main house to get to the Guest House. This rental is not for anyone who is not animal friendly.

Guest access:
Guests are allotted 2 parking spaces in front of the Guest House. You will be provided with the code for the driveway gate and the home one day before check in. We are readily available for your stay. We provide a house manual as well. Our Dogs will greet you when you arrive.

Guests have access to the entire Guest House.
