The space
Koolhaus of Boynton is less than 3 miles to the Atlantic Ocean (it’s a mere 10-minute drive to Boynton Beach Oceanfront Park), and a 5-minute drive to restaurants, bars, bakeries, ice cream shop, supermarkets, shopping, movie theater, fitness gym, and much more. Centrally-located, it serves as a great base for short day trips throughout South Florida. Drive times are: West Palm Beach / Palm Beach (15/ 20 minutes), Delray Beach / Boca Raton (10/ 15 minutes), Fort Lauderdale (30 minutes), Miami (50 minutes), Party-vibing South Beach and/or the world-famous nude Haulover Beach in Miami Beach (70 minutes).

Koolhaus is wonderful for private, peaceful relaxation ~ all the while still being near many of the exciting places and activities that South Florida has to offer. The Guesthouse is separated from the Host’s main house by a wide breezeway. You’ll enjoy a luxurious KING-size bed, a full bathroom with a large rain showerhead, a kitchenette (NOT a full kitchen), WiFi / Hi-Speed internet in the Guesthouse and at the pool & patio, Sling Cable TV on a new 50-inch LG Ultra HD TV, a breakfast table (perfect for setting up your workspace / laptop), a small loveseat, ample closet space with wooden hangers and a small dresser, Bluetooth wireless speaker to listen to your tunes indoors or poolside, original paintings & sculptures, and wonderful amenities for a great place to stay and play (or work, if you must) in Sunny South Florida paradise!

The 12,000 sq.ft. property is very private with a 6-foot tall privacy fence, modern landscaping, ample outdoor lighting, and a mostly green lawn.

The swimming pool is newly renovated and is now a sparkling blue Saltwater Pool ~ there’s fewer chemicals and it feels amazing to swim in! It’s much softer and easier on your body than chemical chlorine pools! The pool is heated by the sun — passive solar heating. It gets direct sun almost all day long. Still on chilly days, it may feel cold to you unless you’re from the north. A light inside the pool provides illumination for nighttime swimming.

There’s plenty of chairs and a double (couple’s) lounge chaise to relax while sun (or moon!) bathing or just chilling out by the pool. There’s a large umbrella for shade, and a barbecue grill located next to the courtyard patio that’s beckoning you to grill up a delicious dinner for yourself. Lounge with your morning coffee, tea or Florida orange juice or your evening cocktails in the cool modern “string” chairs with a fire-glass coffee table to set your drinks on. Hang out poolside while reading, web surfing, listening to your tunes on the wireless Bluetooth speaker or just listening to the birds. (About once or twice a day, we have exotic wild parrots fly by; their voices are very distinct, reminding you of the special place where you're staying.)

If you like to dine al fresco, there’s a teak-finished dining table with contemporary “branch” chairs. A custom bench in the breezeway between the guesthouse and the main house provides a quiet, contemplative spot that is generally shady and a bit cooler. There are potted plants throughout the courtyard patio and breezeway.

In the backyard, there’s a hip cocktails & smoking / medical-420-friendly area with modern Swedish designer “club armchair” seating and fun tiki lights. (No smoking is allowed anywhere else on the property.) It’s a great place to read or just hang out. There’s also a hammock for relaxing under the canopy of tall Carrotwood trees and a huge Banyan Strangler Fig tree.

You’ll also have everything you’ll need for going to the beach: Beach bag (for carrying your stuff to beach), beach towels, a beach blanket, beach umbrella, and folding beach chairs. A cooler is also available upon request. Just bring your sunscreen or suntan oil and you’re good to go!

Guest access
Koolhaus of Boynton is a small Guesthouse (roughly 270-300 square feet) that is separate from Host’s main house. It has a private entrance with frosted impact-glass French doors and a digital deadbolt lock. You’ll have the entire Guesthouse to yourself as well as access to the private pool, all patio areas, and the large yard enclosed with a 6-foot tall privacy fence, barbecue grill, and outdoor dining area. The Host lives in the property’s main house and all outdoor areas are shared with the Host.

Enjoy swimming, sun-or-moon-bathing, and lounging in designer outdoor seating. Luxuriate in taking hammock naps, BBQing, outdoor dining, and cocktails by moonlight, in the private yard or pool and patio areas.

The Front Yard and Parking:
Please do not hang out in the front yard, on the sidewalk, or in the street to be respectful of my neighbors. There is Guest Parking in the property’s driveway (beside the Host’s vehicle) or you can park on the street in front of the house.

Other things to note
Adult Couples & Singles Welcome ~ LGBTQ-Friendly. The Guesthouse can accommodate up to 2 adults. (Maturity is a plus! Check the House Rules for specific requirements /prerequisites to staying at Koolhaus.)

Maintenance personnel are present with noise potential for about 1 hour per week. The lawn is usually mowed sometime between 7:30 - 10:30am. I will advise when I know the mower’s schedule for the week.

Food Prep: Besides the refrigerator and freezer in the Guesthouse, there is a microwave, a new electric 2-Burner stove/cooktop, a toaster, a “coffee station” and a glass teapot (use it to make tea in the microwave). Cooking utensils and new nonstick pots and pans are provided. You can also grill food on the barbecue. However, there is No oven and No kitchen sink. You can wash dishes in the large bathroom sink. Starter dishwashing supplies are provided.

Host lives on the property full time in the main house and all outdoor areas are shared with the Host, so chances are you may see the Host from time to time.
