Many guests start their evening with a poolside happy hour before trying one of our many restaurants. A refrigerator is available for guest items. Fresh Market is close by and filled with wonderful goodies.

We are not affected by the trains running through Port Salerno and Stuart. Our Tropical Retreat is set on a private 2.6 acre property in a unique area of SW Stuart that provides easy access to everything, the beaches as well as the beautiful downtown Stuart. Optionally you can choose to relax in a comfortable king size bed, a reclining leather loveseat, or just enjoy the tropical foliage outside while watching wild bunnies from your private deck. The space
We are not affected by the trains running through Port Salerno and downtown Stuart day and night! You can sometimes faintly hear them off in the distance outside but you will not hear them inside of our place! We have hurricane impact windows and doors throughout.

Our cosy guest suite is situated in a quiet, relaxing and tropical setting. The guest suite is 640 square feet, which gives you plenty of room to make yourself at home. It has a private entrance and deck surrounded by lush vegetation and a serene view. It's a great place to enjoy nature, grill some food on your private deck, and have a glass of wine. It has private parking and we can accommodate boats and trailers as well. Our wild bunnies will certainly come for a visit.

It includes the following amenities: Wifi, streaming TV, large-screen TV, reclining leather sofa, large desk area, fully equipped kitchen, private deck with grill and patio furniture, clothes washer/dryer, walk-in closet for storage, and a new king size mattress with an assortment of pillows. We provide beach towels, an umbrella, a cooler, and beach chairs for your use.

Other things to note
We have well water which is treated and softened onsite. It is wonderful to wash with because it’s soft and has lots of minerals (iron in particular), and it is safe to drink and cook with, but we prefer the taste of bottled water. We provide some bottled water upon your arrival to get you started, but guests will need to replenish on their own.

Once done loading follow the alley and parking is usually readily available on SW 5th.

The space
My home has an in law suite in the back of the house and driveway for parking. As you go in there is a living room, Kitchen, dining area and a beautiful master bedroom. The bedroom has high ceilings and lots of windows, full bath, walk in closet and another door off of bathroom to enter the patio, pergola and pool area. A pergola with gas fireplace and landscape lighting highlight the warm and inviting salt pool. This is a quiet neighborhood and great for walking or taking a bike ride. Downtown area is just lovely and 5 minutes by car or 20 minute bike. Restaurants and stores are very close by. Checkout the guide book for places to visit. The beaches are 10 minute drive away, chairs/ umbrellas are available for your use. Many people have enjoyed staying here and it shows when I see them year after year. I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

The Casola Guest house is situated on a gated lot with a pool and a main house. The guest house is completely private with all locking doors and windows. You will enter from main entry gate and then access your guest house. The door is on the right side in the yellow building. The pool is shared.

Welcome to our Cottage between the two Rivers; where a whimsical Eight Legged Sailor awaits your arrival. Directly on the west side of the historical A1A and just over a mile from Downtown Stuart, one of 'The South's Best Small Towns'. Across from the Stuart Marina and Boat Club and less than a mile to The Talk House, Tide House and more. Go fishing under the bridge, enjoy a sunset at Sailors Return or enjoy our Green Market on the weekend with pristine beaches just a short drive away.

The space
Our Mid Century Cottage has been completely renovated and beautifully furnished, featuring a private bedroom with queen sized bed, bathroom with a large shower, full kitchen, washer and dryer and a fabulous sectional couch that converts into a Sleeper equivalent to a queen. Bedroom and Living Room equipped with white noise machines to aid in restful sleep, or simply to create a peaceful environment during the day. Enjoy a movie on the high definition TV, or enjoy a good book in our reading nook. Impact windows throughout and two mini-split air conditioners for optimal cooling on those hot summer days. Enjoy dining outdoors in the private garden , featuring a gas grill, large dining table and lounge chairs for when you want to enjoy the Florida sun...in the shade.

Noteworthy: For all its wonderful perks and advantages and excellent proximity to Historic Downtown, surrounding marinas, shopping, etc , it is important to be aware that this Cottage is not in the most quiet location. You will inevitably hear train horns and occasionally some live music coming from across the water at Sailors Return. With this in mind we provide white noise machines throughout the cottage along with ear buds for any light sleepers. Your comfort and enjoyment is our highest priority and we certainly understand this old salty sailors cottage might not be a fit for those seeking constant quiet and tranquility.

You will enter using a keyless entry lock. When you first enter you will walk into the spacious cool living room with lots of storage areas and cozy seating and magazines ready for you. The beach is 5 minutes by car, restaurants, galleries and parks are all within walking distance, and we supply two bikes if you'd like to see the neighborhoods in slow motion. Wireless internet. Would you like to get to know the local flavor of downtown Stuart? Minutes from the beaches, shopping and restaurants. We are looking for people who don't want the typical hotel experience. We live in a great location and love it here! The main house, which we live in, overlooks the St Lucie River, The cottage sits in front of the main house which gives you complete privacy and lets you come and go as you please. We have lived here since 1984 and done extensive renovation to a 1930's home and cottage. The property has been like an art piece for us. When we bought the property, the yard was minimally landscaped and the house needed major work to be done. Over the years, we have converted our property into a wonderful, nature lover's haven.Our yard looks like something you'd find in Key West. We are organic gardeners and grow veggies and lettuces in our garden boxes along with many herbs. If you are looking for a great experience, you'll find it here! . The Cottage details: The cottage is equipped with a separate kitchenette to include a frig/freezer, induction cook top burner, ,convection toaster oven, juicer, crockpot, Kureig, coffeemaker, all dishes, glassware, and utensils. We do not have a conventional stove in the kitchen. The cottage has a dining table and chairs, a very comfy new queen bed, a leather sofa, coffee table and end table, wall unit with flat screen tv, wireless internet, bose clock/fm, chest of drawers, closet, vac, linens, beach towels, beach chairs, 2 bikes, and a separate bathroom with a shower. In the front of the cottage is a small garden with a gas weber BBQ grill. We additionally have croquet to play in memorial park, bocce ball. Enjoy mornings in the garden or out on the dock drinking a cup of Joe or for an evening dinner. We try to give you complete privacy, but are always available for any questions that you may have. The cottage AC is a split unit which is very quiet as the compressor sits outside on the ground like central AC. The floors are all tile for easy maintenance. We have included games and books for your pleasure. Additionally, we have a book in the cabinet by the door with all of our favorite things to do and places to go. We allow guests use of our dock to watch sunsets and our beach to relax and read. We hope you'll try us for a exceptional vacation experience. Additionally, two bikes are available for use should you like to cruise the area in slow motion :-) You can stroll through downtown shops and restaurants that are 5 blocks from our cottage. Memorial Park (photo of music shell and park) is only two blocks with racquetball and tennis. The newly renovated Public Golf course is a 5 minute drive. The beach is 5-7 minutes. . ..many choices of beaches up and down Hutchinson Island. There is a sight seeing boat tour at Indian River Plantation. Rent jet skis on the intracoastal or paddle boards on Manatee Pocket. There is also a party boat that travels up and down the river. We have several museums in Stuart..The Elliott Museum out on Hutchinson Island, a Veterans Museum at Memorial Park and The Stuart Feed and Seed houses the history of Stuart. Oceanographic has a great exhibit across from the Elliott Museum. There is always plenty to do. Numerous art shows frequent the downtown and on sunday there is free live music at the downtown waterfront pavilion. There is a green market every sunday in the downtown park with organic veggies, local honey, plants, and locally grown meats. Additionally, there are some artists selling their work during the market. You won't run out of things to do or you can kick back and beach it most of the time. We will collect a 5% occupancy tax on the total of your rental + cleaning fee at check-in.
